Gilbertsville is one of only two New York villages which are included in the National Historical Register in their entirety. Our Bed and Breakfast is located in a historic 1820s building, which has housed numerous businesses through the years, including a bank and grocery. At one time, it was the print shop that published The Otsego Journal and was formerly the home of Tarot Designing and Printing. The Bed and Breakfast is located on the second floor of the Print Shop. Nestled in this quaint 200-year-old village, it is next to the historic mansion, The Majors Inn, and across from The Value Way Country Store and the studios of various craftspeople and artists. The Bed and Breakfast acquired its name from the 1852 Signature Quilt which is featured along with other antique and contemporary quilts from the Butternut Valley. Our clean, comfortable, and convenient facilities will appeal to those visiting the Gilbertsville area, as well as those interested in quilts and Central New York Leatherstocking history. We will provide a selection of breakfast foods for you to choose from to create your own breakfast. Whether you stay one night or several, you will have a delicious variety of cereals, muffins, breads or cakes to eat. This place was very rural and there was no road noise at all just the sounds of nature. It was just as described. As others have noted the fact the none of the walls go up to the ceiling means there’s very little privacy in the bedrooms or bathroom. As long as you are alone or a couple/or are comfortable with that, you are set. It wasn’t an issue for us!

The cabin offered a peaceful and tranquil stay for our family. The lake view was my favorite! The area is quiet and the neighbors were friendly. The home offers most of the amenities we needed, just missing a washer/dryer. The only recommendation I would add is to upgrade the bed pillows and cooking pans. The current pillows are very flat and uncomfortable, and some pans were a little rusty. Overall, our stay was wonderful! Sandy was very responsive and we greatly appreciate the hospitality.

A very nice, private, place - where allows you to relax without seeing/interacting with people. Paul is also very helpful and responsive - you can get almost any help from him quickly. The cottage is great with well interior design. It has everything we need to stay in it for a week. Highly recommend to everyone who is looking for a escape from daily chores and cities. We will definitely come back and stay longer in this lovely space.

Lori was quick to respond and provided us with essential information to get into the home. Knowing we would not have internet access in the free miles surrounding the house was helpful. Once on property we were able to use wi-fi. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed, beds were comfortable, living space was cozy. Great place to relax after a busy day.
