Lovely and peaceful place to stay on Taboga and would recommend!

We loved our stay! Perfectly peaceful and very integrated with nature. Even have some donkey’s to pet! Loved breakfast under the veranda. Pool was delightfully deep. Danita was super responsive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about things to do all across the island.

Beautiful place, very nice people, and good food. We really enjoyed our stay.

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

I had already gone to the chalet in 2017, I loved it. I went again this year (2025) and it's even better. The host is super proactive and easy to communicate with. The cottage is extremely clean and well arranged. It was worth it. I hope I can come back again.

Severine and her husband Mark were very friendly hosts. Our place on stilts was a dream come true and decorated with a lot of love. Delicious breakfast. Definitely recommend this place to our friends

Spectacular stay. The place is better than in the photos, the garden is impeccable, the house is beautiful, rustic and family-friendly, very well equipped. Ideal for family days. There is everything for all ages, a trampoline for children, grass, WiFi with a good connection, a very nice pool, a ping pong table, a spectacular gazebo for barbecues and family lunches, etc. There is much more to describe but we can only be grateful for the family time that the place gave us and the view of the volcano. The owners are very concerned and attentive, thank you very much. Let's see if we come back someday

Few are the places and people who mark or leave their mark on those travelers who were just looking for a place to rest. This was the case, Simon the host and his girlfriend have made this beautiful estate a piece of paradise on earth. The place is super quiet and cozy. Clean and self-sustainable. The hosts were very communicative and helpful and we shared a very pleasant time during dinner. I would return to Rio Negro JUST for hosting me again in the GREEN MOON.

The establishment is located in a private area, and has all the amenities, also Sergio's attention was always proactive and he was aware of anything that might be needed and/or recommend restaurants, etc. I recommend the place!

The place is lovely, extremely private and peaceful with little traffic. Ronald and Alejandra were great hosts, providing great recommendations of things to do and places to eat nearby.

The only thing the car outside, the rest is fine

We absolutely loved our stay! It was a unique place with extremely beautiful views of the mountains. Just be mindful that it is true to “glamping” meaning you will feel a lot of wind at night, which depending on your sleeping patterns can be challenging. Also, the place is a little off the beaten path, but we loved our time and would recommend.

Excellent cabin with great accommodations and beautiful views. The hot tub was very relaxing and functioned perfectly, it also had a beautiful view of the lake. Comfortable beds and linen. The cabin has a unique and special design. Manuel was very responsive and attentive to all of our needs. Highly recommended if you are visiting the area.

A perfect option to disconnect ❤️❤️❤️ for good, to be with nature, a delicious meal and Débora is really great!! I'd like to go live there. They treated my pets like a queen.

Unforgettable, we spent two amazing days. The place was simple but very comforting. Quiet, it is ideal to recharge and rest from the noise of the city. The sound of the waves and the environment complement its essence. Rosario is a genius, very friendly. We loved it and want to go back!

It is a space surrounded by greenery, where you can clear from the noise of the city but with everything you need to make the stay too comfortable. We loved waking up to the sound of the birds and appreciating monkeys in the surroundings, for being in the middle of the forest. The cabin is very nice and fresh, in addition to being very well equipped with all the tools for cooking and rest. There are many things to do in the area, from walking in the forest to visiting water births in the nearby mountains. The hosts were very attentive to our requests. Definitely a place we recommend!

The location of the guest room is really very well positioned. In the heart of a natural and private forest. It feels like you're in the middle of the jungle. The services are very satisfactory

David’s place is paradise. He and his family have created the most magical space. It is utterly beautiful, and feels secret and untouched. The cabins are spread through the cloud forest, and all have lovely views. They are super cosy inside with loads of blankets to keep you warm in the cooler nights. We had an en-suite shower room with a hot shower which was a treat after a day of hiking the forest. The private trails leading down to the waterfalls are quiet and magical. Full of birds and butterflies. The common area around the pond and restaurant is FULL of hummingbirds, more than I have ever seen, we watched them for hours. Our children were captivated by them. David was the most wonderful host, he was so welcoming and kind, and made us amazing food. He even helped the children fish for trout in the pond and then cooked them for us! And to top it all off, we saw a quetzal from our balcony! This is the best place we have stayed in Costa Rica. It truly is a little heaven.

The place is all very good, incredible, everything is very nice, it is perfect to escape from the city and connect with nature, just a small observation, the mattress needs to be changed... you can feel the springs and you wake up with back pain. Anyway, everything was very good.

Rodolfo's cottage and property are right by Cahuita Park. Even before you arrive, you get a lot of information about where. Arrived, his girlfriend and Manfred & Luna (his dogs) greeted us. Everything was very nice and you should know that they sleep right in the jungle! Howler monkeys, sloths and insects incl. The breakfast was always homemade, typical of the country and fresh - Rodolfo likes to surprise his guests. The coffee is just delicious and as much as you can... You also have privacy, Rodolfo sleeps 50m further in your own house and is around the house from time to time. If not, he's on tour because he's a guide; which we didn't know before. You should take a canoe trip on the river or a night hike through its extensive property. All in all a perfect place to immediately enjoy nature in the Caribbean. Pura Vida

Our stay in this cabin located in the heart of a crater was simply exceptional. The privacy is unparalleled, surrounded by nature and mountains, it is a quiet environment that invites relaxation. The accommodation is perfectly equipped and decorated, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. A highlight was the rest room they have, ideal for groups or families looking for a space to reflect and even work. The area is equipped with games, and even a sauna. For our experience it turned out to be the perfect place for our work sessions. There were also more activities such as horseback riding and trekking. Would we go back? Of course, this place is for those looking for a unique getaway with a partner or family, combining nature, privacy and functionality.
