Farmstay vacation rentals in South America

We (family with 2 children , 6 & 3 years old) felt very comfortable on the Fidelito Ranch. The kids enjoyed playing in the garden, feeding and showering the dogs, as well as the great horseback ride with Leon. We greatly appreciated the quiet location, but were also able to get to the larger cities quickly.

This is a farm stay in a lovely, well-equipped large 4 bedroom house. The early morning work trucks woke us up, followed by the howler monkeys around 5:30 am every day. The neighbors in the close-knit community are either family or friends. They were quite helpful to us, especially Chofo, the gardener. The small, nearby town, Venecia has everything you could possibly need. Our favorite restaurants were Las Machas out of Río Cuarto and El Picador Smokehouse on the way to Aguas Zarcas. We visited 3 National Parks: Arenal, Juan Castro Blanco, and Braulio Carrillo. Don’t miss the blue pools at Río Agrio Falls and Cascada Pozo Azul. They are less expensive than others in the area and wonderful places to visit. The house (kitchen) is well-stocked, but, more importantly, Isabel is probably the best hostess we have ever had in 15 years on Airbnb. We felt accepted and totally welcomed.

The cabin is beautiful, spacious, comfortable. An excellent place to disconnect. Congratulations to Nancy and Arturo for such good service.

We had a great time at Andrea’s place. If you like rural/farm like stay, the place is simply stunning. No doubt we will come back, we loved it.

Had a great time with my family. The kids loved the pool and my wife and I loved the house and the nature around us. I think they have a deal with the animals and insects where they come great you on your stay :) we saw a 3 sloths, many birds, and neat insects

it was a wonderful part of our Costa Rican trip to stop here for 2 days. the cottage is as described, rustic, one with nature and surrounded by a beautiful setting and animals! Everything was clean and we really enjoyed the tour Alexander gave our family, which allowed us to learn more about a way of life that is respectful of nature and the resources we share.

Very nice place. As it appeared in the listing. The estate was very large and comfortable. Good decoration. The site was very close to the village by car, so it was possible to stock up easily. On the first night we had an inconvenience with the kitchen light, but the other day it was fixed without any problem. The caretakers of the estate were all the time very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped. Beautiful landscapes to contemplate as well as hikes and animals. I would definitely return to the estate. Totally recommended.

A picturesque place. With goats, chickens, cows and a unique tranquility. Luciana is sweet, proactive, and attentive to details. The space is simple and very cozy. The house is divided into 2 private spaces and the common area with fire pit, swings, and garden are shared, including with Luciana's 2 little dogs. Anyway, a place I intend to return to.

My experience in São Thomé das Letras was simply amazing! The place has a unique energy, stunning landscapes and a mystical vibe that makes everything even more special. The accommodation was excellent, which made the trip amazing and perfect, very clean, comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. I was very well received, with great tips for local tours and restaurants. The location is also perfect, close to tourist spots and with a wonderful view. It was undoubtedly one of the best trips I've ever taken. I highly recommend it and definitely plan to come back!

El Jabalí is a beautiful, warm place where you will feel very comfortable. The house is full of art and the surroundings are wonderful! A walk through the olive groves, a rest on the pier and a snack overlooking the mountains, were my best moments. Marcos is very friendly and communicative. We'll be back!

Spacious cottage in a beautiful property surrounded by nature with plenty of sports activities... A great experience!

Roberto and his lovely mother Enith are absolutely gracious hosts. They went out of their way to help us. The farm is charming with beautiful flowers and orchards of lime trees. Waking up to birdsong is magic. The cottage was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you!!

From the first contact, Alini always assisted us, gave recommendations for places, restaurants, butcher shop, everything was great. The place is too beautiful, and the barn is amazing. We stayed only one night because we went to pedal in the Serra, but the place is perfect, we would certainly stay longer!

Excellent Farm. They are in every detail you can think of no need to bring any more than your clothes. It was best to arrive with the stove on the homemade eggs and tree lemons. Highly recommended!

This place is fantastic. Big and spacious. Peaceful and quiet. We had hoped for lots of birds and more wildlife, but that was practically nonexistent. The place is fairly close to Santa Maria, which offers everything you would need for supplies and some great restaurants. If you are a larger group, this is the perfect place. Especially if you have kids. The soccer field was awesome. We would stay here again, and Gustavo and his group of helpers were very responsive and on top of everything! Thanks for helping make our stay wonderful.

I stayed with my family, and we had very pleasant days. Spacious, bright, airy, extremely comfortable, cozy and clean house. Kitchen equipped with quality appliances and utensils. Very good barbecue. Communication with Lutz was extremely good, as was communication with Simone (homemade). In fact, Simone helped us with breakfast and lunch. Everything was great. Simone is very helpful, polite, friendly and attentive. I recommend it!

This was by far the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. The location was gorgeous and the rooms were amazing. The place was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds in the main house were a little hard, but we still slept well :) if I am fortunate enough to be back in La Fortuna, I’d love to stay here again.

We absolutely loved Rick's place! The surroundings, the gardens are so beautiful, the inside so clean and every single detail is thought of to make us feel welcome and right at home. We stayed for one night - 2 kids, 2 adults and we will mirror other reviews - we wish we stayed longer! We hiked to the river for a refreshing dip, we sat on the porch in hammocks watching wildlife around, rain and fireflies. Rick is very responsive and helped us out when we needed recommendations or had questions. We booked tubing (which was one of the favorite things we've done) and walk to Rio Celeste hike with Jhonny and had a wonderful time. Jhonny is such a nice person and a great guide! Thank you, Rick and Ashley. We can't wait to come back!

Second time going with family to Sandra's space! The place is even more beautiful than what appears in the photos. The view, from all sides, looks like a hand-made painting and the place offers everything we need, from utensils, to the peace needed for rest. We have coffee with the cia of 2 toucans and several birds, a true refuge! It was cold, but we still enjoyed it a lot. This time only hydro was not working, but nothing that would impact our stay. I, my family and my dogs indicate this place with closed eyes, especially my dogs. Communication is fast and the place makes you feel at home.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The location was perfect, and we truly felt at home. The staff on the property was extremely nice and tentative. They were at our service when needed but was never invading out privacy. We will absolutely be staying here again—10/10 highly recommend!
