Waterfront vacation rentals in South Africa

Location was ideal. Close to V&A Waterfront and a HOHO bus stop. Apartment was clean, large enough, and good wifi. Communication with our host was prompt and always helpful.

We had a short but great stay. The place is incredibly located, it’s super comfortable, and the host was super sweet. Perfect!!

The condo was just like the pictures. Spacious and well stocked. The location was good, easy walk to the waterfront and felt very safe. Glad we stayed here.

I had the most wonderful stay at this apartment in Cape Town, located right on the canals at the V&A Waterfront. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to the vibrant V&A Waterfront and the Two Oceans Aquarium. The Marina Residential complex is stunning, clean, and incredibly safe – I felt at ease even with my two young children. The apartment itself was perfect, spacious, and beautifully decorated with gorgeous artwork that made it feel like home. We also had access to the homeowner's pool, gym, and cafe, which added an extra level of comfort to our stay. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely return and highly recommend it to others!

Ciska was always prompt in responding to any emails we sent prior to arriving in Cape Town. We had lots of information from her on what we needed to do to make our arrival as seamless as possible. From recommendations for airport shuttles to car rentals she was always available for us. No shortage to local recommendations for tours and accommodations in Stellenbosch Mona checked us in and stayed back long enough to answer any query we had. The apartment booklet had tons of recommendations too for local restaurants and farmers markets. The best part of the apartment was its location. Within an easy walking distance to the V&A Waterfront, and totally safe to walk back Kate at night. Ample parking and car rental a 10 min walk away. Easy access to all major highways leading out of the City. The best part was how quiet the apartment was. With a beautiful deck to sit out on and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine ! Great place! Loved the pedal boat option. Perhaps not so ideal if you have toddlers because the staircase does not have rails. Minor issue really and other than that we had a good stay.

Beautiful home on the canals. Very well equipped and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. Amanda was extremely helpful and accommodating and was very quick to respond. Loved our stay and would most definitely go back! We were 3 couples and all 3 thought it was lovely!

Ronelle was an an excellent host, communicating with us about all our enquiries, and making us feel completely at home. We had a fantastic stay at Cecile’s house. It was just like the pictures, beautiful location and Cecile was so helpful. The welcome package she left us was lovely too

The home was lovely, clean and well appointed. Lynne who envelopes us get in was punctual and friendly and communicated with us throughout. Ilsebe also checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable.

Marina Da Gama in itself is a gem - the tranquility, canoeing on the waterways, abundant birdlife etc. Jessica's house exceeded expectations - very well located, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed the easy and direct access to the water using the really good canoes provided and the surprisingly efficient pedal boat. The fynbos garden is immaculate and attracts beautiful birds. Lovely indoor braai in the lounge that opens up the outside via enormous fold back doors making the whole place very light and airy. No complaints, only praise for this wonderful location.

Place is stunning with the most breathtaking views! Especially at sunset! It is in a Dar Sky area so the night sky is AMAZING! Take your telescope if you have one 😌 Overall amazing stay with a super amazing host! Will definitely be back

Always love staying here. Beautiful part of Knysna, close to the cdb but incredibly peaceful. There was a power-outage in the town but fortunately the house now has solar. The home is lovely and has everything we could possibly need. We will be back

We loved Bronwyns place..security is impressive and it felt very safe..extraordinary views of the sea and ships coming into the Harbour and walking distance of ushaka and the beach. Lovely linen and enjoyed the touches like seed bread jams and butter and fruit...some great books too!, will definitely book again next time we visit durban.

My parents and I enjoyed our stay at Brett & Henry's apartment in Milnerton. The apartment was SPOTLESS and looked exactly like the pictures. The sunset views of Table Mountain were breathtaking. The location was close to Canal Walk. The apartment had everything we needed, we enjoyed the access to Netflix & DSTv, the fans in both rooms, and appreciated the thoughtfulness of providing body wash and shampoo for both bathrooms. The only minor downsides were related to the surroundings which are entirely out of the hosts' control - we noticed a few homeless people around the tennis courts at the front of the building (they didn't bother anyone though) and Koeberg Road was very busy with lots of Taxis and busses which tend to abruptly stop in front of you (we had a minor accident because of this). Despite this, I would highly recommend this place. Brett & Henry were super responsive and we loved that we could text them directly with queries.

We had the most wonderful stay in Langebaan this past weekend! The unit is perfectly situated right on the beach, offering the most breathtaking views, we could have spent all day just soaking them in. Our hostess was incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, especially with our 11-week-old baby. She had a camping cot set up for us and even provided a changing pad in the room next to the main bedroom, which made things so much easier for us as new parents. The unit itself was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We felt so welcome and at home. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful beach escape, especially families with little ones!

I couldn’t have asked for a better location, it was conveniently close to safe walking areas, shops, a beautiful park & restaurants yet was in a relatively quiet road. The apartment is beautifully appointed with absolutely everything you need, especially in the kitchen. It’s light & airy with stunning views. You feel secure & totally at ease there. Very obliging staff, in all, everything to recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Zama’s place in Cape Town! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with a fresh, welcoming scent that made us feel at home right away. The location is excellent—very close to the V&A Waterfront—with a lovely view and a peaceful atmosphere. Zama was an exceptional host. She kindly allowed us to amend our reservation and arrive a day earlier without any issues, and even offered us an early check-in. Throughout our stay, she checked in to make sure everything was going well, which we really appreciated. The area is very secure, with underground parking and visible security all around. We felt completely safe during our stay and found the whole experience incredibly relaxing. We would definitely return and highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Cape Town!
