In this surf session I am going to teach you how to catch waves and stand up on a surfboard. I will guide you every step of the way, even if it’s your first time, we will learn about selecting and paddling into waves, popping up, riding the wave and more! This is a highly energetic experience, and very physically demanding... You should be fairly physically fit. I will try to get some cool pics of you surfing during the experience! Our Surf Taster Lesson is a One Hour Introduction to Surfing so that people can learn the basics. For our Surf Taster Lesson we'll start with an a short introduction to the equipment and some of the basic techniques on the beach for about 10 - 15 minutes where we'll give you information about the board, the waves and the techniques. We'll explain how to paddle, how to stand up and how to catch the waves. Before we go in the water we'll go through some safety tips and put on some sunblock. After the learning the basics on the beach we will put them into practice out on the water for the next 50 minutes. In the water we'll help you to catch some nice small waves to get the feeling of what the board is doing and to get the hang of the timing to pop up. When this going well, we'll go a bit further out to catch some of the bigger waves. We will be right there in the waves with you the whole time helping you with instruction so that after the lesson you'll be surfing like a pro.
