Can’t recommend this tour with Ha enough. He’s hilarious while also being one of the most knowledgeable tour guides I’ve ever experienced. If you’re planning your trip at home right now and thinking, “eeeh 4am on vacation is pretty early, I don’t know…”. Forget that, go on this tour. I was like you, and the other reviews convinced me to give it a shot. Easily the highlight of our trip.

Truly the highlight of our trip. I was initially hesitant as I had never ridden on a motorcycle before, however my driver instantly put me at ease with her kindness and competent driving skills. I felt completely safe and had a fantastic time chatting to her as we drove through the early morning serene streets and sprawling rice fields in the outskirts of the city. Each of the places we toured offered insightful information about the culture, lives and the traditions of the everyday person living in Hoi An. I especially enjoyed the Cau Lau noodle making stop and had the best coconut coffee at Cavalry. Ha is a fantastic guide. Striking the perfect balance between humor and knowledge as we toured each location. It’s very clear how passionate he is about uplifting his community and sharing his culture and experiences with people from around the world. I left this tour with a broad smile and a very full heart. Would give this experience a 5000000/5 stars if possible!!!!

What a morning! We were picked up early with scooters – "to work" – and landed in a small family noodle business. There we were allowed to help, learned an incredible amount and had a really authentic, warm experience with the noodle family. Then it continued: fish sauce production, sleeping mat production, morning fish market – and to top it off, a rice wine distillery that also produces Chinese medicine. In huge jars were mushrooms, roots and all sorts of animals in 60% alcohol – around 30 varieties. The tasting was like Russian roulette: everyone blindly chose a bottle with Vietnamese labels. Very exciting. Very funny. Very strong. A lively, exciting and all-around special morning. I am writing this review under the lasting impression of the cobra rice wine – thank you, ha! 🐍🔥
