Vacation rentals in Smythesdale

Everything was just perfect at Nigels place. Views are picturesque, beds very comfortable, ensuite was beautiful with a really large shower and bathtub with spectacular views. Oh and the pool was our favourite bit. It got to a really comfortable heat during the day also. We absolutely loved our stay and can't want to visit again.

This was our second stay at Castlebar Cottage and it was just as beautiful and amazing as the first. Raelene is the perfect host. Fast response with checkin available earlier than we expected. Delicious treats and staples left for us, which is always a lovely touch, but these were extremely generous. Highly recommend Castlebar Cottage - aesthetically perfect and a joy to call home…even just for a short time!

Peaceful setting to wind down for a few days after a busy few weeks. Just the two of us. Was a lovely space to relax, self cater & spread out. Friendly local pub a few kms away or drive into town for shopping & eats.

We had a great stay at Jasmin’s place. The eggs, bread,butter and milk were much appreciated. The house was very clean and comfortable with top quality linen and plentiful crockery,cups and glasses with comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck at sunset watching the moon wax and wane in the clear night sky. Overall a peaceful,comfortable experience. We hope to visit again later in the year. We absolutely loved our stay! Very clear and easy to follow instructions to check in, absolutely gorgeous views (honestly photos don’t do it justice to seeing it in person!), well stocked kitchen with the essentials you need and one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed at. Place is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and great friendly hosts that have excellent communication if you do need anything. We hope to visit again, can’t recommend highly enough !

We had such a wonderful experience at Jeremy and Kylie's place. Had all the amenities we needed for a perfect stay. The property was even more stunning in person. Beautifully decorated and clean throughout the house. Such a beautiful house in a nice neighborhood. The highlight for us was the pool, had perfect temps throughout our stay. It was very relaxing to unwind after exploring the town. Good WiFi speeds and the study room is ideal for a WFH session if needed. The Sonos gear and Spotify-connect speakers on Alfresco, Dining and Pool areas were a nice touch. Close proximity to cafes, restaurants and most attractions in Ballarat. We'd love to return again for a longer stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay near Ballarat.

The house was perfect, in a great location, and very comfortable! Andrew was very proactive and easy going. Would definitely recommend!

The three of us loved our stay here at Alan’s place. Set in a peaceful neighbourhood, it’s a beautiful, spacious home with a great outdoor area for relaxing. It was spotlessly clean and pleasantly decorated with an eclectic collection of books on the shelves. The home is very close to the extensive walking/running/cycling trails in the Woowookarung Regional Park where dogs can also be walked on-leash. Highly recommend staying here.

Small but perfectly formed, had everything you need for a short stay. We did find the bed hard and the pillows soft but that is a personal issue. Great location.
