Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable getaway.

Oceanfront, the charm of Casa Caballito de Mar is its proximity to one of the most beautiful coastal ecosystems in the world.

The eco-friendly property is located between the beautiful beach and the protected mangrove of the Portoviejo River. It is located on the beach about two kilometers (20 minutes walk) south of downtown San Jacinto, a fishing village north of "la Boca," the point where the Portoviejo River flows into the sea.

The space
• The house is designed to maximize the pleasure derived from the soft sounds of the waves crashing a few meters from the property. Doors and windows are positioned so that the sea breeze becomes the natural air conditioning. On the first floor there is a living and dining room for six people. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities to enjoy the preparation of food. The kitchen includes plates, glasses, cups, pans and pots... the basics so guests can cook delicious meals. Also included are an electric coffee maker and a refrigerator and freezer. On the first floor there is also a half bathroom and a bedroom with two bunk beds.
• On the second floor, there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A large balcony in the master bedroom overlooks the beach and another balcony in the second bedroom overlooks the mangroves.
• On the third floor there is a roof terrace that has 360 degree views, hammocks, a BBQ and sink.
• Wi-Fi is included... Although, we recommend that guests disconnect from the networks and enjoy the incredible nature of Manabí! The rooms have air conditioners, although the breezes from the ocean make them unnecessary most of the time.
• Bonfires are a Manabí beach tradition. We enjoy ours on the beach in front of the property where you will find plenty of firewood from the beach. Please be sure to extinguish the fire when you are done enjoying it.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire property. If a family or group needs more space, we can arrange the addition of a second house next to Caballito de Mar. This house has room for four additional guests and has its own kitchen, bathroom, dining room and living room.
