Vacation rentals with a pool in Skaleta

What a wonderful place for a peaceful few days! The view is breathtaking and the area is just beautiful. The villa is extremely well appointed and has every amenity you could ask for, including a fantastic salt water pool. Hora Sfakion is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away and has a choice of shops and tavernas all serving great food. My partner and I stayed with our young baby daughter and Alexandra and Lefteris couldn’t have been more helpful setting up a cot and high chair for our arrival.

We enjoyed a lot our stay in this beautiful villa. The sea view from the pool is amazing and the house is surrounded by olive trees. The host was very responsive and helped us with local recommendations. Highly recommended!

The listing was exactly as described / pictured in the photos. We were personally welcomed by George, who showed us everything briefly. We had complete privacy & George always responded to messages within a very short time. Having the pool heated was definitely worth it in May (19 degrees were just too cold for us). Absolute highlight was the hammam, which we used almost daily. We will be happy to come back & can highly recommend George as a host!

Wonderful stay in a serene environment. Beautiful view towards the sea, nice swimming pool and large, tastefully decorated rooms. We were really able to unwind here. You usually need a car to visit restaurants or nearby villages. No problem for us, we just enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We highly recommend staying with Stefanos, who is a very friendly and warm host 🙂 The apartment is very comfortable, modernly decorated and equipped with everything you may need during your vacation. Guests who aren't many, because there are only about 10 apartments in the property, there are a clean pool and a well-maintained space around it. The pool has sun loungers, umbrellas, and tables where you can eat more. Our apartment consisted of a bedroom and a kitchen with a living room and a bathroom (air conditioning, of course). The bedroom and living room have separate balconies and TVs. A big advantage of the property is that it is located off the beaten path and if someone needs peace of mind, they can really relax. It's a great base for exploring the area and a great solution for people with a car. You have to walk to the beach, which can be an inconvenience in the heat, but it's still worth stopping.

We had an amazing stay at Muar! The place is quiet and perfect for relaxing – just what we needed. Even though we arrived late, the hostess kindly waited for us and took the time to show us around in the evening, which we really appreciated. She was super helpful throughout our stay. And the breakfast… wow! Delicious Greek-style food that we looked forward to the next morning. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful and cosy getaway.

We loved our time here. Recently renovated with care, the house strikes a balance between modern comfort and historic charm. It’s spacious, thoughtfully designed, and finished to a high standard. Located in the quaint village of Gerani, about a 10 minute drive from Rethymno, we genuinely appreciated being outside the city and immersed in the village atmosphere. Gerani has everything you need — a supermarket, great bakeries, and a few solid restaurants — our favourite being Maxis. The village also has easy access to the highway, which made it a perfect base for day trips to beaches and nearby towns, all while skipping the congestion of Rethymno. Damnoni and Kalypso beaches on the southern coast were a highlight. We found everyone we communicated with very nice and easy to deal with. Worth the stay!

I highly recommend this apartment! The location is ideal if you have a car - it's close enough to central Chania that you can arrive and find parking in just a few minutes, but it's also far enough out of the loud town centre that you have peace and quiet all day long. The private parking space was a huge advantage of this location. The immediate neighbourhood is walkable and there are a few shops/restaurants, but be aware it is a little hilly so not ideal if you have mobility issues. The yard is west-facing so it is perfect for sunbathing or swimming in the pool in the afternoon/evening. Tilemachos was very friendly and responsive throughout, many thanks for the nice gifts when we arrived and for letting us check in early!

Smaller than the space appears to be in the photos but clean and well appointed. Danielle, our host, was helpful, a great communicator, and accessible. Great to be able to communicate easily when out of country. The pool is small, good for refreshing only. Be prepared for 3 flights of steep stairs to gain entry.

It was super nice here. We were warmly welcomed and communication went smoothly. The place is as pictured. You're a bit up the mountain, which is super nice because it's much quieter there. The city and the beach are within walking distance. We were very satisfied.

Despina was a very helpful and communicative host who responded to all questions very quickly. The apartment is situated in the hills with a view of the sea. Rethymno is an easy 10 minute car journey away. It was very nice to sit outside in the evening, on the patio next to the swimming pool, and watch the sunset and the sea. The private swimming pool is small but fine for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. The kids liked it. The apartment is a good size and includes all the equipment you would find in your house (washing machine, oven, microwave, clothes iron...). This makes it very practical. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay and a convenient base from which to explore the area around Rethymno.

Anastasia’s apartment is really nice, the view is amazing, and the surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful perfect for a peaceful trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alexandros apartment . The garden is amazing & the host is professional & friendly . Alexandros was very helpful with everything we asked . The swimming pool is big & the garden furniture is very cozy . The appartement itself is very functional & only 10/15 mins drive from the old city . We highly recommend it .

A stunning location, you could never get bored of the view it’s intoxicating! The house is spacious and clean with everything you need inside as well as being in walking distance to some lovely little restaurants and wine tasting. Would highly recommend!!

Great week spent just relaxing and had everything we needed. Pool was a great relief to the heat and visiting the local supermarket meant we cooked several times int he bbq and had breakfast looking over the views. Communication was great through out with some good recommendations. Loved that we had a mid week set of new towels / sheets and rubbish removed. It was just what we wanted - relaxed in a lovely location close to amenities . Thank you x

The property is beautiful and location just perfect just a 15mins bus ride to the harbor which is full of nice restaurants and shops etc. The property is a short walk to the beautiful beaches with a few beach bars with nice food and drink and restaurant not far away with very nice food. Really lovely stay. The air BnB was very clean and pleasant and the hosts were friendly. They had also bought some spare pool toys for my son. They gave us great recantations of places to eat and visit. Villa is a little outside of chania but we managed without a car. Really lovely stay, thank you!

Absolutely incredible stay at the villa very opulent from the minute the gate opens . So spacious,5 of us stayed for 1 week and the villa was just perfect. We loved Mathios and Lilian’s place for our family of 4. They were super friendly and very responsive with lots of good information about the area. Great restaurants and beaches within walking distance. We would absolutely stay there again for another trip to Chania.

We had such a lovely stay at Manolis’ house. Our family of 7 (incliding a 2 & 5 year old & my 75 yo mom) all loved our visit. Manolis met us and gave us such a warm welcome with so many local tips and recommendations. It was even more beautiful then the photos and full od beautiful family heirlooms. The village of Amari is beautiful and peaceful and the villa is perfectly located in the middle of the village right next to the taverna. The views are amazing, the pool an numerous patios are gorgeous with stunning views and it is so peaceful and private. There were so many lovely complementary foods from the local vendors on arrival which made us feel right at home. Rumy cooked us the most amazing meals we had in the region that were so incredibly delicious! Do not miss her meals! She modified multiple dishes for our dietary restrictions. She is truly a masterful chef and such a wonderfully warm person. Our kids loved the home, pool, outdoor cats & Rumy! Everyone was so kid friendly!
