Apartment vacation rentals in Shetland Islands

Had a lovely stay, the apartment is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the apartment had everything you might need. Just a note, that the apartment is on the first floor, up a flight of iron stairs, so if you are travelling with suitcases like we were, you'll need to carry them up. You do have views across to the port and the neighbourhood is nice and quiet.

We loved our stay at Suzanne's apartment in Lerwick. The location, although somewhat difficult to find at first, was amazing.......just a few steps above the Lodberries in the heart of the town. The apartment was tastefully and comfortably furnished and was very spacious. We really appreciated the privacy and the ability to self-cater provided by a well-equipped and complete kitchen. Although it was very cold on Shetland at the time the Bnb was warm and cosy and so welcoming to come home to after a day out in the weather. Suzanne has provided all amenities we could hope for and we were even able to do a load of washing in the automatic machine provided. Thank you for a wonderful visit Suzanne. We really would have loved to stay longer!

Beautiful spot right next to the bay. Ideal for self-sufficient trip - right next to the bus stop for the 21 from Lerwick, a great shop and St Magnus Hotel. Lots of lovely walking and swimming round the Ness - I would recommend.

The flat is as central as you can get, easy walk to all town centre shops and restaurants, whilst also being incredibly quiet, no disturbances. Everything you could possibly need was there, really well set out and toasty warm. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you Billy and Jenny.

This Airbnb is a bit out of the way with the nearest shop about 6 miles away, but this is part of the charm. The location is stunning! The accommodation was lovely and cozy and a perfect refuge when the weather was a little wild. Fantastic shower after a day out in the wind and rain. We would highly recommend and would stay again. We cycled to get there and there was plenty of space to pop the two bikes in the kitchen without getting in the way. The bunk bed was stable and very comfortable.

Clean, homely ,comfortable beds, warm and fantastic shower. My friend and I had a bedroom each which was a treat. We had a car and could park outside the flat.

Jenny and her husband are extremely thoughtful hosts and we had a wonderful stay. Spotless apartment, very well equipped. Parking is manageable if you need it, a short walk from the apartment. Lots of thoughtful little touches to make your stay perfect, milk in the fridge, heating on, and restaurants nearby. Exceeded expectations! This was our first trip to Shetland and which is unspoilt and stunning. So much to do, yet very quiet. Will definitely return and request to stay here. Thank you!

Jane could not have done more to make my solo stay stress-free and comfortable. Her home is peaceful yet situated in the heart of Lerwick overlooking the harbour. She was very swift to communicate, check-in was extremely flexible and Jane shared lots of useful local information. Will definitely be back with the family. Thank you Jane!

A delightful apartment in a fantastic location. Extremely comfortable and luxurious. This was the best accommodation we have stayed in for a long time. We are already planning to return.

I am a fan of older buildings and this apartment is an innovative remodel into charming living space. We enjoyed being in the center of things and were able to walk to pretty much everything we wanted to do in the city. Great location. No parking but there is plenty available. We used the parking lot by the Town Hall then walked down the stairs to Commercial St. and down the alley to the apartment.

We had a great stay in incredibly comfortable and well appointed apartment in Lerwick. Check in was seamless, everything was really clean and tidy, and the beds super comfy. The hosts were really helpful and responsive and also provided us with a very useful visitor's book! 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic location in downtown Lerwick. Convenient free parking at the Town Hall is a plus. A comfortable bed, excellent shower and modern kitchen were all appreciated!

As the listing says, it's a small cottage, but the space is cleverly used and it's all very pleasantly fitted out. Comfortable bed! It was a great base for us, very close to the main street, but quiet, and with easy free parking close by. There's also a well-looked after communal garden just up the street, with picnic benches. Eve's communication was excellent, including when one thing needed fixing. Would happily stay here again - only advice would be that Reform Lane includes a few short flights of steps that are quite steep, which might be tricky for some people. But if you don't have a problem there, this is a very good choice for two people looking for a well-kept, well-placed bolt hole.

Another excellent stay - would absolutely recommend staying here if you find yourself in Lerwick or in Shetland!

Lovely clean, fresh,modern and comfortable apartment. Parking is great either on the premises or right outside on the quiet road. Had a super stay. Easy to walk into centre of Lerwick. We dined at Fjara and no 88 and both served delicious food, with Fjara being the best! Also recommend The original Noss boat trip Seabirds and Seals. Absolutely superb! Would recommend Craigielea for your Lerwick stay!

As a solo traveller found Lindsay's place to have everything I needed for a pleasant stay on Bressay. I did not have a car and Lindsay was particularly helpful in collecting me from the ferry. One of the best self-catering places I have stayed at and would highly recommend. Go raibh míle maith agat.

Brilliant place to stay with amazing views! The apartment was pristine and had everything we needed, and Kim was lovely and welcoming - even being super accommodating with a late check out to give us time to do the Bressay parkrun. Would highly reccomend!

With friendly, helpful hosts and a cosy, warm atmosphere, this one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the breathtaking views to the comfy and beautifully equipped accommodation with its warm and relaxing spa, Niki and Piet have created a true oasis of tranquility in a hectic world. While Shetland itself was even better than we’d hoped for, our trip was made truly special with our stay at Voortrekker.

Voortrekker ranks as one of the top places I've ever stayed. Not only was the apartment very evidently thoughtfully handcrafted (half of the furniture is built-in) it was also very functional with everything well supplied, especially the kitchen. This was only made better by its location, with amazing views and perfectly positioned near the airport and for adventuring in any direction you'd wish. The spa is a fantastic addition. Lastly, Niki and Piet were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable hosts – plus they helped me out (twice!) when I had car trouble. As a woman travelling solo, the apartment struck the perfect balance of privacy/independence and security/safety. I highly recommend staying here!
