Lorette’s place is a tiny slice of heaven. I highly recommend staying here. The house is older but that’s what makes it so wonderful and have such great charm. The house was on a dead end which made it incredibly private and quiet. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful, bright rainbow and we’re treated to our very first time seeing the northern lights!! Rachel, Lorette’s sister was extremely friendly and helpful and they are both there for you if you need anything very responsive. I have to say it again I highly highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back. If you have children she had such a wonderful stocked location of toys, coloring books sidewalk chalk and for adults plenty of movies and games and crossword puzzles . The backyard was my favorite with the huge deck and the view of the field and path to the water with the beautiful pine trees at the end. I enjoyed every morning with my tea and the birds thank you so much, Lorette!!

We had a struggle with the mortgage company for a home that had purchased near Yarmouth, but this made the hassles easier to deal with and it was a great location to get out and meet our new neighbors

We enjoyed a family weekend at Arin and Tobias' for my sons 19th birthday celebration. Their home is spacious, clean and both hosts are accomodating, friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed in a beautiful home with equally beautiful surroundings. We seal watched at the rocky unkept beach close by, there were several seals right next door. Some of the brave ones even swam at Cherry Hill beach in cold temperatures just a 15 minute walk from this air bnb (beautiful walking or swimming beach!) Highly recommend them for a comfortable and peaceful stay!

My family had an excellent stay at Kelly’s Airbnb. It was clean, quiet, cozy, and warm. They left wonderful local recommendations and Kelly was friendly and accommodating. Would love to stay again! Highly recommend staying at this Airbnb!

Located on a picturesque small island, Mont’s place provides a tranquil and beautiful stay as you can dream of. With the exceptionally detailed information and instructions shared by Mont by email beforehand as well as in hard copies on site, it is easy to find and use what you need. We enjoyed every moment at the place, particularly cooking at the handy kitchen and playing UNO by the warm steel stove. The Crescent Beach that connects the island with the mainland is unique - you can drive on the beach in low tide!

Andrea was easy to communicate with, accommodating and pleasant. Walking distant to beautiful Mavillette Beach. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming.

We stayed here during the Jeux de l'acadie for my son. We were 3 adults and 2 children and felt very much at home. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Jack was very easy to deal with and friendly. Easy check in & check out. Place is a short drive away from the main strip which has several stores, mall, restaurants,etc. Would highly recommend.

Lynn was a gracious host and her cute, converted post office was the perfect home base as we explored the Yarmouth and Barrington areas. Lovely little patio where you could watch the sunset, plus all the other things you need to feel at home! You won't be disappointed with a stay at Lynn's place!

The perfect place to stay for peace and quiet. You are just far off the beaten path for some rest and relaxation but still close enough where the South shore attractions are just a drive away. The hosts will answer any question you have with a rapid response. Our two labs loved the property and Cailean Rae and Kate made a personalized gift basket for us and the pups. Can't recommend them enough.

Arrived late and only got to spend enough time in the yurt to sleep but hope to be back and enjoy it during daylight hours! It’s in a very rural area right on the seaside. The only downside is that there were two small lights, so next time we’ll be sure to bring head lamps!

A great place to stay when exploring SW shore of Nova Scotia. The hosts communications were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and very nice property. highly recommend.

We had a lovely three-night stay at cottage #1. We travelled as two adults with two small children (ages 2 and 6). The cottage was clean and well-equipped with kitchen gadgets, dishes, utensils and cooking supplies, plenty of linens, and even a drawer of board games and colouring supplies that our kids really appreciated. We were happy to have the BBQ and fire pit to use as well. The amazing beach is literally right across the street, as well as the Quarterdeck restaurant. It was very convenient especially with two kids to just be able to walk across the street and access beach fun and a meal if we wanted. Check-in was very easy with a door code provided before our arrival, and Eric and Dawn kindly checked on us via message daily to ensure we had all we needed. I would highly recommend this cottage to others. Thanks for the great stay!

Gorgeous property. Better than photos convey. Decor is very tasteful, bathroom large and beautiful shower. Everything was done thoughtfully and professionally. Hosts were very responsive and clear. We got some snow during our stay and they were on top of having everything shoveled. Stayed for Christmas while visiting family and couldn’t get over how cozy the place was. I felt like I was staying in the Nova Scotian version of Kate Winslet’s cottage from “the holiday”. Would be gorgeous in the summer too.

My dog, girlfriend, and I stayed at The Petite Retreat for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The area was close to the ferry and there were plenty of things to do in the area. Alana gave great recommendations on places to visit (highly recommend Cape Forchu) and there were some great food spots within a close driving distance. Alana was very reliable when it came to communication and instructions. The only drawback was that there was no running water but there is water access in the tiny home so very small problem with a easy solution. I will definitely be recommending The Petite Retreat to any friends interested in visiting Nova Scotia!!

Shobac farm is very peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Lots of great amenities as well - our son loved the indoor pool and trampoline. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Conveniently located close to many beaches and Lunenburg is only 25 min away. Would love to return again!

Our stay was amazing and we have no complaints. We would definitely book this spot again! Check in and check out were simple and the host was quick to respond. All of the rooms in the house are bright with natural light and there is a view of the ocean from the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed and a big fridge. The gate to barricade the stairs was very handy to keep the children safe. The yard was well kept and included various gardens. Lots of space both inside and out. You can walk down the road to the ocean in about ten minutes. Thank you for a great week!

The Beachcomber Cottage is the perfect place to unwind and spend the holiday with family. The cottage has everything we need to feel right at home. The night sky was amazing. We loved every minute.

Nice spot right on the main street. Very convenient for a concert at the Astor Theatre. There's a nice path to walk along the water a couple of streets over... Just a heads up we couldn't find any paper towel or napkins so if you plan on eating you might want to bring some :-) ... Would stay again! thank you

We loved our stay. The Airbnb had everything you needed, as well as a lot of special touches to help make the stay extra cozy and relaxing. The soundtrack of the waves and a hot tub that overlooks the sea? Icing on an already delicious cake. Thank you for providing us with a lovely space for a much needed getaway from it all. :)

We were definitely “wowed” by this beautiful property from the moment we arrived onto our departure. We didn’t want to leave! The kitchen was well appointed with boating for anything to prepare a wonderful meal! This is my favourite Airbnb and I have stayed in ALOT! Whoever goes to Atlantic Pearl will not be disappointed. This is a lovely place to stay. Every amenity and a great restaurant and food truck on the premises. Lovely sunsets! And wonderful to be able to bring our dog, lots of space for walks. We will be back!

Amazing retreat! Off the beaten path by a lot, and we loved it! Long dirt road to get there means it’s quiet and secluded. Beautiful home inside and out. Well appointed kitchen made dinners easy followed by long soaks in the pristine hot tub overlooking the lake. Could not ask for anything better!!! We didn’t need it, but there’s extras for your pets or small kids. They thought of everything.
