Monthly Rentals in Settignano

We had a lovely time. It's a little freestanding house with a garden behind the main block of housing on street, so extremely quiet. The garden is sheltered and very pleasant, with a nice view; we picnicked out there in mid-January. The house itself is idiosyncratic place, full of family possessions, which give it a lot of atmosphere. At first we were put off a bit by this, but then we saw the family history the host left (on the wall by the stairs down to the second bedroom) and realized how deeply the family was embedded in the town and the greater city. So if you're looking for something elegant and soulless, this place is probably not for you, but if you want something unique and funky and memorable, you'll like it. The only caveat: the bed in the master bedroom is more comfortable than the foldout one in the lower bedroom. Nice sitting room with comfortable sofa and chairs. We spent a lot of time there, when we weren't out walking in the countryside.

Viola is an impeccable, attentive and responsive host. The accommodation is a warm and welcoming place, with attention to detail. The kitchen is equipped with every tool that can serve, and there is also the attention to leave some snacks (jams, cookies, rusks) which are very welcome. I highly recommend Viola's apartment for a pleasant and relaxing stay

What a beautiful and special place in Tuscany! You can sit and imagine living here hundreds of years ago as you enjoy all of the details Angela has provided to make it comfortable and abundant. The pictures don't do it justice...the place is larger and more embracing than the photos. Angela cared a lot and when a few little things were not quite right, she made them right. This is a beautiful and top place to stay to enjoy the Tuscany countryside, not far from Florence and all it offers. The town is charming and the folks were kind to us. We did, as one reviewer suggested, enjoy wine at the community center late one night and great sandwiches in the day! Make sure to explore the town in the day and take time to be a part of it.

Where to start… After one day in Rome, I am still missing Firenze and Ale’s house. We definitely had the best time here. Okay, firstly the house is of course identical to the pictures. While you cannot see the sun through the curtain and the stunning sunset cathedral view(3 minutes walking from home) from pictures but you have to experience them by coming here! I’d like to mention that the facilities are even better than five-star resorts (and I mean it), especially the faucet and the towel heating hanger. Besides these above, what makes me recommend this house is the beautiful area and Ale himself! The minute you meet him, you would be overwhelmed by his gentleness, kindness, and warmth! Thank you Ale, for this great vacation we had here. Next time I would for sure spare more days here! If you might be worried about the location, my suggestion would be no worries at all. Bus 10 could take you anywhere and it runs quite frequently. A bite away from the crowded central is a big plus.
