We had a very short but sweet stay at Jackie’s place. We met Jackie on arrival and she was very warm and incredibly helpful with our odd request for hair dye! A beautiful spot, very warm and homely cottage with everything you need. Will definitely try and stay again for longer next time!

Sally and Gary were excellent, helpful and friendly hosts. Their accommodation was great value for money, exceptionally clean and very convenient, with the added bonus of being pet-free (especially as I have pet allergies). Very peaceful at night too, with a lovely comfortable bed - who could ask for more! Great value for money, thank you both!

Beautiful cottage - exactly as photographed & described. Spotlessly clean & comfortable (specially the bed!). The area was lovely & easy to travel to & from. The White Horse did a superb Sunday lunch, after which you can walk back to the cottage & relax in front of the fire. Perfect!! Would highly recommend.

Moos Cottage was absolutely Beautiful. Super cosy and had exactly what we needed for us and our 2 dogs. Nestled in the tiny village of Rosedale Abbey, everything was just a couple of minutes away including the local pub where they were so friendly. Recommend the lasagne by the way. Everything in the cottage was exactly how it was listed, and if you are after a relaxing cosy warm break, this ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended.

A lovely long weekend stay. Peaceful and private, set in a North Yorkshire country location with easy access to the east coast or inland attractions. Andrew and Suki were perfect hosts, leaving you in peace to enjoy your time, yet available to assist if required. Lastly, I feel I should mention that it's really good to see hosts charging a 'real' price that reflects affordability generally. We highly recommend.

Excellent place to stay on my trip to Thirsk. Short walk to meet up with friends in centre of town, but great to be able to escape back to a quiet space to relax and chill afterwards. Everything I needed was there as well as some unexpected and very tasty treats. Sara couldn't have been more helpful and if I ever return to Thirsk, I will definitely try to use the same space again. Easy to come and go as required - perfect. Bed very comfy and the wet-room was a great idea.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. It had everything we needed and the cake which was left for us went down a treat. We would t hesitate to return.

Gorgeous flat, clean, cosy and lovely little extras - tea, coffee , biscuits from local bakery etc. Perfect location for walking, sightseeing and just having a 'mooch'! Shops, cafes and pubs in Helmsley all fab. Can't wait to come back 🙂

We stayed at Whootin Owl Barn as a last minute getaway! We were lucky to be able to book in and what an amazing time and place! Mel was very proactive with communicating and responding with any questions we had, welcomed us and greeted us on departure. The lodge itself is beautiful , with all the facilities you need and even more, great views and loved the autumn decorations, made it feel very homely. Will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends. Thank you :)
