Villa vacation rentals in Sao Goncalo

J’ai passé une semaine de vacances absolument parfaite dans cette magnifique maison située à Madère. Le logement est spacieux, très confortable, impeccablement propre, et idéalement situé pour découvrir l’île. Tout est pensé pour qu’on s’y sente bien, et ça a vraiment été le cas. Franchement, je ne vois rien à redire tout était au top du début à la fin. Je recommande ce logement à 100 % et je n’hésiterai pas une seconde à y revenir lors d’un prochain séjour à Madère. We (2 couples sharing) recently stayed in Duarte’s lovely home. Duarte met us on the road where we parked our rental car and helped carry our luggage to the house, which was greatly appreciated, as it’s a bit of a trek along an uneven paved walkway with some stairs, down to the house. However it’s well worth the effort, as the unobstructed view of the ocean from the patio and every room in the house is absolutely stunning! The house is well equipped to prepare meals, lounge on the patio, and sleeps were sound and very comfortable in this peaceful setting. Duarte offered to help return our luggage up the walkway to the car but we planned ahead and took the largest bags a day ahead of checkout. Duarte is friendly and helpful and generous with his fresh eggs and locally grown bananas. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Villa was lovely as was the pool. Location was further out than expected so definitely need a car would recommend automatic & satnav. The showers were fantastic, the crockery was rather chipped and could do with replacing. Local shop & bar very convenient and pizza restaurant was fab. Overall had a lovely stay and would recommend.

We loved the house, every room has a badroom. Great kitchen. We injoid the swimming pool and sauna. The communication with the LovelyStay was fast and easy.

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Insgesamt sehr gepflegt und modern eingerichtet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Marco hatte gute Tipps für Unternehmungen und war immer erreichbar. Der Ausblick vom Balkon auf das Meer ist wunderschön, zum verweilen oder für den ersten Kaffee perfekt. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

The Casa was way more than we expected and even better than the pictures promised. Both of the rooms were super pretty and each one had their own bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to make ourselves some breakfast or dinner. The view from the terrace was absolutely stunning and the Casa is a calm place to come down. As some other visitors already stated a rental car is an absolute must but this is standard once you want to stay outside of Funchal and/or want to get around this beautiful island. Julien was always very helpful and friendly. Definitely one of the best Airbnbs I had so far. We would be happy to get the chance to come back one day!

Het uitzicht vanuit de tuin was werkelijk prachtig. Het huisje is zo dicht bij de zee dat je in je slaapkamer de branding kon horen. Verder was het ontzettend stil. Een heerlijk zwembad en tuin met verschillende zitjes en ook ligbedden zodat je altijd kon kiezen waar je wilde zitten. Er was zelfs een BBQ!

Well what can I say about abor villa- By far the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. Absolutely exceptional and decorated beautifully, so artistic and clean and akin to a boutique hotel. Emma was a fantastic host, she made the whole stay exceptional for our young family. Personal touches such as a mini chair for our two year old with suitable cutlery, cups etc ready for us, even taking the trouble to remove the legs of the children’s bed so not too high from the ground. She provided a box of toys for our children and ensured staples were ready for us after a late flight so that the children had food and milk- something we whole heartedly appreciated. The position of the villa was ideal- close to the capital, excellent views , close to restaurants and local towns and ideally situated so easy to get to the northern sites of the island which really wasn’t far when renting a car. Emma was easily reachable and offered lots of recommendations. The pool and views exceptional, we will return!

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Kents apartment with a group of friends. Apartment was spacious with great views over Funchal. The apartment is around 10 minutes taxi drive or bus journey (takes a little longer) from the centre of Funchal or up to the tropical gardens at Monte. There is a little shop for essentials around 10 minutes walk away, just a step hill walk back up. Kent was an excellent communicator from first booking. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely clean villa with a great pool. Communication with the host was easy. Other reviewers have suggested that nearby roads were noisy - we didn't find this a problem. Is a little out of the centre of funchal but easily accessible by bus or taxi. Only concern was the €500 cash deposit requested on arrival. This is in the advert and we got it all back without a problem but we were nervous handing over so much cash outside the Airbnb platform. I have asked Airbnb to double check if this is within their website rules.

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

Karine and her family have been super sweet and helpful. We were a family of 6 spanning several generations, and the house is perfect for this. Highly recommended. Everything was new and worked flawlessly. Best recommendations from Kenneth.

Nos hôtes, Jeanne et Cristiano, nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux, avec des produits locaux à notre arrivée ! La maison est très bien située sur les hauteurs de Funchal, avec une vue incroyable sur l'océan (y compris depuis la douche italienne !). La piscine était très agréable (étant frileux, nous avons choisi de la chauffer), la cuisine parfaitement équipée, les chambres très spacieuses et confortables .... Nous avons aussi aimé la déco, les livres (notamment la collection de guides sur Madère en français !)... Tout était parfait, nous avons adoré notre séjour !

There was a group of 8 of us and we had the most amazing stay! The location is super close to the airport and the main town making it easy to get around. It is very private house so it feels like your own secluded space. The access to the beach is stunning and the large deck with the pool, sauna and BBQ make a perfect space to hang for the day. Would 100% recommend staying here! Thank you 😊

Wir durften fünf Tage in der wunderbaren Grey Rock Villa auf Madeira verbringen. Wechselndes Wetter ist mit diesen grossen Fensterfronten ein Schauspiel. Der Pool ist mit 24 Grad perfekt temperiert. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Fabrice und Ana kennen sich gut aus und geben wertvolle Tipps! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

This is how AirBNB should be. The house is stacked with everything. How often are you in an Airbnb and they only have 6 plates? Here they have 20+, they have Great knives, tons of kitchenware, enough toilet paper, plenty of dishwasher tabs and also cleaner for the washing machine. Things you normally expect but somehow got lost in the making money machine Airbnb is now. Not here!! A absolute crazy welcome basket (have not had such a big one ever), friendly crew and absolute amazing place - can only recommend

A beautiful place, peaceful and with stunning views. The host Jun pays attention to the details when it comes to the amenities which makes all the difference. It was a perfect, restful stay, would highly recommend.

Wow! Where to start? The whole place was absolutely amazing, so much space and so private - we had the best holiday. The best part of the whole trip (especially for the kids) was the swimming pool - we were in the pool for up to 2 hours some evenings (would definitely recommend taking the option to get it heated), and being able to eat on the decking right next to the pool was perfect too. Would also recommend hiring a car (as we did) to get into Funchal, around the island or to the local shops....

We had a wonderful stay—the house is just like on the pictures. Great location away from busy roads, yet just a few minutes drive from Funchal. The views are stunning, and the pool fantastic. We really appreciated the sense of privacy and security in a gated community. While we had some technical issues with the house, the landlord was very responsive and quick to solve.

We had a fantastic time on the island. In addition to the nature that makes Madeira so fascinating, we were also able to spend some very relaxing days in our accommodation. Everything was just like in the pictures, so we could start our vacation with a great feeling. The accommodation was modern, clean and very luxurious with a pool and the number of rooms, each with its own bathroom. And who wouldn't want to wake up with a view of the sea? Wonderful. Henrique was also easy to contact if we had any questions and check-in with the key box was very simple. There is a small supermarket in this small town if you need anything. Otherwise, Calheta is not far away with larger shopping facilities. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the accommodation, although the accommodation with its large kitchen and outdoor grill is of course also perfect for a meal. Thank you for a wonderful time in Madeira, we'd love to come back!

Beautiful home in a very serene setting. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. We had alot of rain while we were there but loved spending time on the rooftop deck area and enjoyed the heated pool. The only downfall is there is not alot to do within walking distance. You definitely need a car. The main highway is very close which makes it convenient to explore the island. Definitely reccomend to eat at the family barbecue restaurant up the road (Restaurante Perreira) So delicious, beautiful setting and nice people!

Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in der Unterkunft und würden diese jeder Zeit wieder buchen. Es war alles vorhanden was man brauchte und sehr sauber.

Alles was perfect. Het huisje is overcompleet. Het is geen vakantiehuis maar een thuis. Contact met de host wordt snel en duidelijk opgepakt. Het uitzicht is prachtig. De wifi is goed, daar waren de kinderen heel blij mee.
