Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Sandy Bay

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful Opossum Bay property. It was absolutely perfect for our two families—spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location is stunning, with a lovely beach just a stone’s throw away and a jetty nearby that was perfect for fishing. We especially loved the fireplace—it made the evenings feel extra cosy. A really special spot to unwind and reconnect. Highly recommend!

We’re really enjoy staying at Thierry’s place and Peter really nice and helpful with checking in, quick responses with all questions which make our stay smooth and convenient. The place very beautiful, super clean and has everything we need in his kitchen. I’d recommend to stay here and will book here again next time if we’ll be back to Tasmania again next time.

Our team were working in Lenah Valley and they found the house to be lovely. It was situated in a great location. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone :)

This place was beautifully styled, with comfortable beds and couches and modern and clean amenities. The view and surroundings were stunning. It felt so peaceful and luxurious. Macy was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Breakwater Lodge was just as we’d hoped - beautifully peaceful and quiet. Perfect place to go & unwind and enjoy relaxing days doing nothing. Breakwater Lodge has a great fully equipped kitchen, a lovely comfortable lounge area, with a small separate lounging room where you could choose a book from the shelf to read or watch a bit of tv. The deck is the perfect place to spend a quiet morning and afternoon, reading, relaxing and enjoying the view. And the best part about our stay at Breakwater Lodge was that our beautiful old dog got to enjoy it too. Not only a perfect spot to stay, but dog friendly too so highly recommend a little getaway at Breakwater Lodge.

Sharon and Andrew’s house was wonderful. It was like a home away from home. Clean, comfortable and all the little bit of extra things they provided made it even better. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.

We absolutely loved it here! Natalie was extremely friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. The stay itself was beautiful! The gardens/grounds and views out over the river were marvellous!! Would highly recommend staying here!

Jo was truly the best host we could’ve asked for! Her place in West Hobart was spotless, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel completely at home. She was kind, super responsive, and clearly puts a lot of care into making sure her guests have a great stay. The view from the place is absolutely amazing — we loved waking up to it every day! Beautiful home and fantastic host! Super clean, elegant space with a very large kitchen, living space and incredibly comfortable bed. Scottie was extremely accommodating with both our 11pm check in and use of the spa under the stars. Always available to help, we felt right at home and loved feeding the sheep in the morning!

We had a wonderful stay at Three Paddocks and a Hill! The cottage was very clean, well appointed with everything you need & full of thoughtful touches that made it the perfect cosy retreat in May. We loved the beautiful views from every direction overlooking the wooded valley and rolling hills. Each afternoon, we enjoyed feeding the cheeky goats apples and carrots that Emma kindly left for us. The location was perfect— right in the Huon Valley, surrounded by artisan producers and just a 10-minute, scenic drive to Cygnet, a charming town with everything you could want. Emma was a fantastic host—friendly, proactive, and responsive. She sent us the most incredible & extensive list of local recommendations. We especially loved visiting Pagan Cider Cellar Door on our way home each afternoon and a meal at Ashcraig Farm Thai is a must—hands down the best meal and such great value. This little retreat was the perfect way to finish up our Tassie trip & we'd highly recommend a stay here!

We loved Craig's place! So quiet with gorgeous views. Our beautiful studio was perfect..brekkie was provided for both days of our stay. Would have loved to use the fire pit but indulged ourselves with the indoor gas fire instead. And yes Craig, the bathroom floor heating was a winner! We also did the talk tour through the Raptor Rescue Centre which was fascinating. All up a great experience.

An absolutely beautiful place in a beautiful location. Sonia and Jeff very clearly care about their guests having a fantastic experience, which is evident by the way they've presented their place. Would absolutely visit again, loved it!

We had a great stay-loved the decor-clean and fresh. Beautiful surrounds looking out. Little extras like juice, bread and milk so appreciated. Pat is friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay-it was just what we needed and a great place from which to explore the beautiful local area.

This was a good option. You are about 20mins or less to Hobart CBD. You are down the road from New Town one of the oldest suburbs in Hobart and everything you need like a Coles, Chemist Warehouse is 10mins is there. The cabin also has a great AC. If you are interested in hiking Mt Wellington, walk down the driveway (with care - forget it if its raining) and turn right. walk 50M and you are at the Lenah Valley trail head. The cabin has maps as well which were very helpful in planning our journeys. The only hiccup we faced was our first night where we learnt the water pressure was non-existent. We sent messages and the Agent, Bai - shout out to them they were reaponsive and really patient with us. Bai got a plumber out and sorted it out the following day. The only downsides were the lights on the fence being on a timer as it did remove the element of being in nature a bit. Plus the cabin noise of the fridge and humidifier at night. But these are minor things. Would stay again.

The cabin was perfect for us - close to Geeveston but very much in the country. The place was immaculate and stocked with high quality everything - from the kitchen implements to the bed linen to the amazing fresh food (all grown on the farm or sourced locally). The big window seat in the profile photo is where I spent hours flicking through the carefully curated books and magazines (all local). Out on the deck we spotted lots of pademelons at night, plus took some excellent Milky Way photos. This was exactly the reset we both needed.
