Vacation rentals in Saint Lucy

We stayed in the upper floor and it was everything we expected. We were met by the smiling and friendly Hugh who answered all our questions and gave us local recommendations. The balcony and view are what make this place special together with the easy swimming from the beach alongside. The sea was very lumpy when we were there but we managed to get in a few times, timing our entry between waves crashing onto the rocks. Basic supermarket and locals' bar 100m up the road and 500m walk to The Fish Pot restaurant where we had a fantastic lunch time meal. Nice bit of sandy beach 100m away. All in all a really nice place which, together with Linda and Les's regular checks to make sure all is well (and Hugh's local support) made for a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Fantastic place to stay. There are no sandy beaches; night clubs; or tiki bars at this place: it is just you and nature. Patrick the grounds manager is both extremely helpful for any needs and at the same time extremely respectful of privacy. The 'guard dogs' are adorable and friendly - I miss my morning greetings from Shadow already. The monkeys are cute and keep a healthy distance. The nightly hermit crab gatherings are unlike anything I've seen before. The gardens are beautiful and the private cliffside seating and private cove are quite literally breathtaking. I was extremely nervous about the lack of air conditioning, but the 2nd floor balcony (off which 2 of the rooms sit) is probably the breeziest spot in all of Barbados. Bring your own food, transport, entertainment, etc, and you're all set. Will be back in a heartbeat.

Modou's place was so far the best airbnb in Barbados we have stayed in ! Modou was super responsive and it was easy to get to his place. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and had everything needed, even some snacks. The bed was super comfortable and we really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the little balcony outside. The place was about 20 minutes walk to the St Nicholas Abbey Railway and (if you like to walk), about 1h walk to the wildlife sanctuary. We really had a good time at Modou's place and would not hesitate to come back again in the future.

This was my second time staying at Peter’s villa and would recommend it with confidence. 15 minutes by car to the beaches along the coast line with lots of restaurants and bars. Love this area great place to stay in Barbados! Michael and Diane

Dear Ingred, Our 4 week stay with you was fabulous. Thank you so much for your hospitality. You invited us to meet with family and enjoy a delicious lunch. The views from the cottage and the peacefullness were so welcome. The only sounds were the crashing of the waves; the horses were so beautiful and the second morning we awoke to the sighting of the newborn foul...amazing. We are cat lovers so really enjoyed the old guy and the tabby kitten. They kept us entertained. From the cottage we ventured out to see the many beautiful gardens, the fabulous Heywoods Beach at the North end of Speightstown and Little Bay in Pie Corner (a delight with the crashing waves). This is a remote, private area of the Island to really capture the Bajan way of life. Thank you again Ingred, we feel like family and hope to return one day. Shelley and Tim.....xxxooo

An amazing location. Situated at the Northen side of the island, the area is accessible by public transport but not would not recommend if you are not confident travelling the local buses. Great host and a lovely place to stay away from the busy towns.

Lovely home in a fantastic location. Beautiful views and sunsets. Short walk to the fish pot restaurant is a bonus. We have tried a number of places over the last couple of years and this is our favourite place to stay in Barbados to date! Will definitely return. Claire is an amazing host. Extremely responsive and helpful. She goes above and beyond to ensure a 5 star experience. Highly recommend.

Perfect for our long stay - quiet , relaxing getaway. House is well equipped, close to Catch 22 restaurant with the best Fishcakes in Barbados, secluded Archers Bay and The Animal Flower Cave. Size and comfort of garden and pool areas were pleasantly roomy, both were regularly attended to and were well kept. Comfortably large bedrooms with roomy en-suites. Breezy location, almost no need to use aircon units. House was well illuminated at night and local residents were friendly and respectful. Peter was a welcoming, friendly, professional and accommodating host. It was so good we'll happily stay again. A car is a must have for short trips to Speightstown etc.

In my many visits to the west of Barbados over the years. This little gem is a perfect spot if you want to get away from the busy beaches bar/ restaurant hotspots on the west. It’s full of lovely local community who will make you feel at home. The house is welcoming and well equipped and has the best view of the sea. The beach below is almost private and we felt like it was our own. One thing we got told by some locals at certain times of the year the sand gets washed away from this beach and left as rocks. (Not sure what months though)The sea was safe to swim in and wasn’t rocky. Overall we loved it and would definitely recommend and hopefully return sometime very soon.
