Family-friendly vacation rentals in Saint Bees

We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

Beautiful stay, the cottage was incredibly clean and well presented, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the hot tub was excellent. Fab location and great little walk down to the river at the back. 10/10

The location was amazing and the views were spectacular. This home was exactly what it said on the tin. We were all blown away by it and had beautiful weather to make the most of the outdoor area. The only thing we did notice was that there wasn’t enough wine glasses & champagne flutes. Not ideal when there was 8 women so we had to use half pint glasses. We could have also done with more dishwasher tablets to last the stay. Apart from that it was perfect. Thank you.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

Stayed for 2 nights and we didn't want to leave! Went for a break with friends and the pooch and all absolutely loved it. Beautiful home, views and great dog walks local. Very secluded garden area with hot tub which was lovely in the autumn weather. Will definitely be returning in the future! We had such a wonderful stay, a very beautiful house in a picturesque setting. The hot tub and sauna were a real treat and worth booking! Mark and Ruth were such lovely hosts with great communication and lots of thoughtful touches. We would highly recommend the house and location for both couples and families and look forward to staying again.

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was the perfect place for our weekend away! The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the garden was very spacious! We loved watching the neighbouring sheep in the sun room, and the hot tub was the perfect place to watch the pheasants and squirrels which visited the garden. The cottage was about an hours drive to the lakes, and the host was super friendly and recommended some lovely local walks and things to do in the village! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Absolutely stunning location!! The best in the entire Lake District! The Buttery is beautifully laid out and decorated, with possibly the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in an airbnb. The knives are sharp, there's good quality cookware and even a dishwasher! The bed is super comfortable, and the bath is lovely and deep, and the freezer compartment in the fridge actually keeps things frozen! The livingroom/diningroom area is lovely, super comfortable sofa and a fold out diningtable. We ate outside most of the time, but this was much appreciated for when the midges descended! All the info you could possibly need is provided in the welcome folder, and Jella lives right next door and is always happy to help out with anything. The stunning Devoke Water is only a 15 minute walk away, and you can easily climb the seat (big hill) next to it for amazing sunsets. I could see the Isle of Man from up there! I couldn't recommend this place enough! We're already planning the next trip!

Had a great stay. Beautiful surroundings, enjoyed talking to the baby lambs before everyone was awake. Great breakfast baps delivered in the morning which set us up for our days in Wainwright country. Great evening meals in the Manor House pub, steak pie is the best. As it’s an open bunkhouse, do check to make sure that none of your party snore or have sleep apnea in advance, if they do, take ear plugs!

Loved our stay at this house. The pictures do not do this place justice at all! It was way bigger than expected. The garden was beautiful and had great views with places to sit and enjoy it all. The dog was free to run around as it was totally secure. We enjoyed the use of the bbq for one evening in the house. Beds were very comfy and cosy. The bedroom in the attic was great with a bathroom with a bath. Very relaxing after days of walking! The location of the house is perfect you just have to walk down the hill to get to the local pubs, we also enjoyed the walk up to the copper mine waterfalls. Coniston boating centre is also a walkable distance and we enjoyed taking a boat out, next time I would make more time to do other water activities available down there too! Will recommend this house to others! The only thing I would add would be some comfy outdoor seating with cushions to be able to enjoy spending lots of time out there! 5 stars! Thanks!

Amazing few days away! Easy check in via lockbox, into a lovely, clean place, in a nice quiet location. Our host was very communicative, and helpful leading up to and throughout our stay - especially when suggesting local walks etc. The kids loved it too! Will be going back 😊.

We loved our stay, it was everything we needed and hope to stay again in the future. The host was responsive and helpful, we even saw a lamb that was stuck in someone elses farm on one of our walks, we messaged the host and she contacted the farm owner. Pubs with food are a close 30 min walk and there are lots of trails to enjoy too. Comfy bed, homely feel and beautiful views.

A beautiful spot for a break in The Lakes. Emma’s accommodation was wonderful and was exactly as described - we felt right at home and settled straight in. When it’s time for us to return to Kendal, again, I hope Emma’s place will be available for us to book :)

Me, my boys and dog LOVED it here. The field we had access to was ideal for burning energy (from a well behaved dog), before you head off to an afternoon activity without them. The kitchen was well equipped, accommodation comfy and cosy. And the views from the back of the property (and said field) were pretty fascinating. Would love to come again!

Well what a gem. This is perfectly located cottage for walking from the door. We had fabulous ☀️weather but I imagine it would be super cosy in the winter too. Kitchen has everything you’d need, beds super comfortable, co-op in the village & a good-grub pub. Can’t recommend this more & we can’t wait to book again.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

Had a lovely 3 nights stay, hosts were friendly and informative, house was spotlessly clean and spacious, everything you could really need was there, hot tub in the evenings after a day out was the perfect way to unwind, made a great base for exploring the lakes, hope to come back soon!

The most amazing location, cabin is wonderful has EVERYTHING you could ever need, there’s not many places I could stay a week but we could here! We will be back, the pool is a great addition for children also. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your cabin ⭐️

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We had a great stay at Sarahs place. Great location near the beach and also having the pool on site is handy for wet days.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.
