A good walk over the golf course and down the cliff trail to the beach and you'll find the Ravenscar colony of seals. A good time to see the pups is June, July and November

The tiny picturesque village of Sandsend lies about a 3 mile walk from Whitby. For those who don't fancy the bracing walk, there is car parking available but we'd advise to be early! With some lovely beachside cafes and the new The Fish Cottage, you can easily spend the day at the beach here.
