Gastroszene

Cantina Masicei in Bratirò is a nice little winery. The family-run company grows the wine itself according to biodynamic criteria and produces different types of wine. The tour through the vineyard is very educational and you can enjoy a wonderful view. At the end of the tour you can taste the various wines as well as Calabrian delicacies from own production.

A trip to Pizzo is worthwhile not only because of the numerous ice cream parlors. The harbor invites you to stroll and the old town is definitely worth a walk. You should treat yourself in one of the many cafes an ice cream or tartufo, because the ice cream craft has a very long tradition here.

Are we still in southern Italy? Serra San Bruno lies high in the mountains and is surrounded by dense forests. Here you can take great walks and the monastery museum is very interesting.

Trecking Tours

The Aspromonte National Park impresses with untouched nature. Unfortunately, there are not many signposted hiking tours. The hike to the waterfall "Cascate dell'Amendolea" is very well signposted and worth it anyway. The car can be parked at the dam "Diga del Menta". From there, continue on foot to the waterfall. You should be free from giddiness.
