Chimney Rock Trail
Chimney Rock TrailGreat hike, great views, trailhead 200' from the house
Another one of my favorite trails... a little noisy from the jeeps but gorgeous. If you can't make the hike one of the jeep tours will take you.

Seriously touristy but it's pretty cool, specially on a hot summer's day. Although you can stop anywhere along the creek (where it's legal) and hike on down for cool air and water.

Gorgeous, and with the the ultimate reward of killer views when you finally get to the top of the trail. Leave enough time to hang at the top for a few hours.

The view at sunset. Gotta do it even tho it's touristy. Head up Airport Rd at sunset and look for the crowd of people standing on the side of the road at the top of the hill, just before sunset. You can park (free) in the lot across the street.

If you're ready to drive up one of the most beautiful roads in America, hit it! Stop at the Native American Indian open air market at the top of the hill (on the right as you're heading up).
When you're coming down the hill you may notice cars parked on the right side of the road, and people filling water bottles (at the square stone thing with two pipes of water gushing out of it). Try it–this is some of the best drinking water in the country.

The local wineries are really fun to visit, we are making great wine in the Verde Valley, and they of course all have tasting rooms.
