  • Nice space in a small town. It was perfect for what my boyfriend and i needed while we were visiting.

  • I visited Woodville to attend my family reunion and was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across this listing. Booking the space was easy and instructions for check-in was thorough. Peggy arranged to meet me and gave me the grand tour. The space was amazing and offered the comfort that I was seeking during my stay. The finishes were modern and the space was so clean. During our stay, we ate at Uncle Bucks mobile kitchen and the hot wings and seasoned fries were delicious. However, it took a long time for them to prepare the order, so make sure you order ahead of time. We at breakfast at Orchard Cafe and the food was pretty good. This will definitely be my go to spot each year that I visit my family in woodville.

  • I had high expectations for this space after seeing the pictures. It was all that I expected it to be and more! Being from Woodville, these Lofts will definitely encourage me to visit more often, and will certainly be staying here every visit. This town needed something like this. Peggy was awesome and so very accommodating. The check in/out process was super simple. It’s a “must stay” if you’re ever visiting my hometown of Woodville, MS.

  • James was easy to communicate with and extremely detailed about any questions. His property is the southern gem 💎 of Mississippi. My family and I was blown away with the apartment all updated appliances and very spacious. Ms. Hendry the property manager guest service was a 10 🌟. Any questions that I had she was always available. I promise you will not go wrong staying at the Woodville lofts and apartments. “AMAZING”!!!!!!!!!!!

    Alfonso2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • James and his wife truly have a spectacular building. It’s nestled in the heart of a beautiful small town and has a wonderfully relaxing pace. The apartments cleanliness was spotless and working with the sweetest woman Peggy to get checked in was a dream. James was very quick to respond to my every need; my stay was originally for 10 days but my work kept me in the area for an extra month and a half. James let me keep extending my stay for the extra weeks I needed which made my stay incredibly easy. Did I mention I worked an hour away everyday and could have moved closer to where I was working but the space and area was so nice and relaxing that it was worth the extra driving. Thank you so much again James.

    Wade2018-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • James's apartment was absolutely outstanding, far better then a luxury hotel room! His co host Peggy was very welcoming and happy to help for whatever I need it! Strongly recommended for a very peaceful get away

    Vince2017-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying here. I came to the area for work and it was just what I needed. James was very easy to communicate and work with. There are long term tenants in the other loft units, and had no issues with them. Old school looking and small town. There are a couple restaurants right down the sidewalk from the streetside entrance. The next time I come to the area I will return.

    Andrew2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was clean and in order as expected. Building has lots of old world charm. Convenient location and friendly folks in Woodville. I highly recommend to anyone in the area and will visit again.

Update: We are monitoring COVID-19 in our area. The cabin is on private property without any neighbors nearby. Along with our regular cleaning of the cabin we will be taking extra measures to ensure it Is sanitized and deep cleaned between our bookings. This cabin has a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom with a king bed. We do not have wifi in the cabin, but we do have direct tv.Perfect for anyone needing to get away from their city and enjoy a peaceful time away from the stress!
About ten/fifteen minutes from downtown st Francisville!
  • From my Parents who spent two nights here: “Rosebank Cabin was so cozy and relaxing during the month of January. The house dog, Nugget, was so hospitable to my standard poodle, Abbie. It was very clean and stocked with muffins, juice, coffee, and wine. The first day, we sat on the porch and listened to the rain, and the next day we had a fire in the fireplace. A perfect place to read or write a book.”

  • It was absolutely great! We will be back.

  • Juneann's little cabin is incredibly charming and comfortable. The pictures do not compare. We came for a relaxing weekend away and that is exactly what we got.

    Brianna2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful cabin very close to Tunica Falls! We loved all the wonderful touches like the wine and muffins, and the renovated bathroom was a unexpected luxury in an otherwise charming rural escape :D also, we were in love with the farm doggogs and so was our little boy (black Pom named Hendrix).

    Ivana2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a perfect little space for those looking for a quiet get-a-way. The scenery was perfect, the fireplace was extra cozy and the 4 legged friends nearby was an extra special touch for this vet tech. 10/10 would recommend and is definitely planning on returning soon.

    Angel2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do any justice!! Quick response, easy check in. SO COZY! Can’t wait to go back!

    Carly2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this precious cottage last minute because it was dog friendly and we were given the task of caring for our daughter and son-in-law’s fur baby after their nuptials. The welcoming committee greeted us tails a wagging! The cottage is warm and inviting. The bed is beyond comfortable. We suspect our pup had people food at the reception because he became ill during the night. We did our best to clean up and intended to take linens to be cleaned and then returned but the sweet hostess went above and beyond our expectations and insisted on handling the remaining cleanup herself. We definitely recommend staying at this little hidden treasure!

This cozy and well-appointed cabin is perfect for bird watchers, writers, or those looking to experience the serenity of the woods. The first floor has a large living/dining area with a queen sized sofa bed, dining table, modern, fully furnished kitchen and full bathroom. The downstairs contains a dreamy bedroom with queen sized bed and full bathroom. The cabin is 8 miles north of downtown St. Francisville and mere minutes from hiking, shopping, area festivals, and dining establishments. Amenities include the provision of all linens and towels, a washer/dryer and internet service. Important to note: There are no TVs at this property.
This sweet little cabin used to be a camp for boys and girls. Hence, the separate downstairs and upstairs spaces. The cabin is perched atop a forest ridge that overlooks magnificent trees of multiple varieties. A wall of windows in the living room brings the outside in and provides beautiful views. Close by, enjoy what we call "the bulkhead," a graveled area where you can enjoy a campfire or grill dinner. Also nearby, there's a grassy field where you can play games or star gaze.
Our cabin is located in a small rural neighborhood. The cabin is on just over 6 acres of land. We think you'll love its natural beauty.
  • This was a perfect weekend getaway. The cabin is super-cozy and has everything one needs. Just sitting by the window gazing out over the forest was fantastic. Our dogs loved exploring the grounds and we took a couple of hikes down to a small creek which was magical. We had magnificent weather but this little house will be a perfect hide-out even on a rainy day. We certainly would come back here! Thank you so much Kathryn.

    Anja2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a very cozy relaxing place to stay. Sitting outside listening to the birds was amazing. If your looking for a place to leave the busy rushed life behind this is it. There is lots of seating outside to just sit and read a book, or just look into the woods and watch the squirrels. The fire pit area was great and everything was provided for us to be able to sit and enjoy a cozy fire. Don’t forget to Bring your ingredients for s’mores. 😋

    Amy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Super adorable cabin that feels like a tree house in the middle of beautiful forest. Wind chimes are marvelous on front porch and windows everywhere bringing in natural light making cabin so wonderful if you want to enjoy nature in tranquil and serene lodgings within a few minutes of historic St. Francisville downtown, national park, and wildlife preserve. Loved this cabin!!!!

    Johnette2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and cozy cabin. Would stay again!

    Rachelle2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect little middle-of-nowhere escape. It's far enough away from things but also not a bad drive into the cute town of St. Francisville. We went to hike Clark Creek one day which was about 30 minutes away and a beautiful hike. My dog loved the cabin and all the free space to roam around. The cabin was perfect and just what we needed for a weekend getaway. I recommend bringing your own coffee b/c I forgot to pack mine and the nearest coffee shop is 15 minutes away. But the cabin has everything you need otherwise!

    Tara2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful Cabin in the woods. Kathryn was very responsive and even worked with me after I screwed up my booking by accident. Nice hiking behind the Cabin and very cool place. Brought my 9 year old son for his birthday and we had a blast!!

    Jason2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Birdsong was fantastic and you should really stay!

    Jared2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cabin with a great view. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Clark Creek and only about 15 minutes from downtown St. Francisville. The kitchen was well equipped as well as the bathroom. We enjoyed the separate fire pit area. Directions to the cabin were easy to follow. We enjoyed our stay very much!

  • Great amenities offered and the artwork is a great feature! If you’re visiting Clark Creek, this is a great place to stay as it isn’t too far from the destination. The host is a very lovely lady who made our stay very welcoming. There are pots and pans and bowls for cooking also! The kitchen is FANCY with all new appliances. There is no better place to stay if you are in the town of Woodville.

  • I've already recommended this place to several people. The area is peaceful and historic. The loft space is generous and beautiful with beautiful art pieces everywhere.

  • Surprisingly upscale apartment.

  • Woodville Lofts and Suites is the crown jewel in the entire town of Woodville. The location is perfect! We were able to walk right out the door and enjoy the Christmas parade as it rolled through the town. I really enjoyed all the amenities the unit had to offer as well as all the beautiful art. Checking in and out was a breeze thanks to Ms Peggy! We would visit “home” as often in the past due to not having viable locations to stay, but now that we have discovered this location, we will definitely be visiting more often!

The Cabin is located on a 122 ac tree farm, with fishing ponds, hiking trails and bird watching areas. Mini donkeys, mini horses and goats live on the property, a hobby farm that we enjoy sharing with others. The Cabin, built in 2003, has heart of pine flooring, bedroom, living, kitchen area with private bath and laundry closet. An additional shower is located on the back porch. Porches on two sides overlooking two ponds offer a place to relax and view the beauty. (approx. 10 mi from town)
This property once included the plantation where Lucy Audubon taught plantation children while husband John was completing his famous book "Birds of America."

Robot (the cat) was a great protector and greeter! Oh hosts were very thoughtful. It was a fantastic base to explore the area. We also really enjoyed a night out at the St. Francisville Inn. Wonderful food and cocktails. We had a great getaway!

  • My wife and I stayed at the Music Hall tiny home, and we were so pleased with it. It was perfect for a couple like us to use as a home base while we explored the area. We had a surprisingly good time just grabbing a couple of the instruments laying around the place for some quick fun. The drum lamp with the adjustable lighting was a nice touch too. Everything was in tip-top shape, and the place was super clean. We stocked up for a couple meals, ate at a couple of local spots, hiked nearby Clark Creek, and even drove into Baton Rouge for an afternoon to eat and shop. It was a very pleasant and fun couple of days, and the Music Hall was a great place to come back to and hang out in the evening. If we come back to the area, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • The Music Hall was the perfect getaway for us looking for a nice, quiet and relaxing evening. We had a couple requests for the owners and everyone was extremely quick to respond as wells as kind and friendly. The Music Hall was extremely clean and made for a very enjoyable weekend. I would definitely stay here again!

  • This was a perfect three day weekend getaway for my wife and I. Although it’s called a tiny home, it’s actually pretty spacious with the layout the way it is. The space was new and extremely clean with a full kitchen. The location was also convenient just a few miles north of downtown St. Francisville. The hosts, Patrick and Colleen, were very kind and hospitable. They even invited us onto the front porch of the main house for a Saturday night LSU football gathering. I highly recommend this place. We plan to come back.

Cabin is 10 min. from historic downtown St Francisville and has creek access on the property. It's centrally located within easy access to plantation homes, Port Hudson battle trails, Tunica Falls & Audubon Pilgrimage July Songbird Music School. Dogs allowed with added $10 cleaning fee (for shedding) and preaproval. Now have a very unique, cozy 2nd rental: Airstream Avalon.
Antique cypress shotgun home and over 100+ years old. It has been carefully renovated with tears of love & craftsmanship by the artist/owner. Interior decor features original artwork by the owner. Great back porch view with swing to relax and enjoy the solitude of the outdoors. A wood stove accents the main living area and is fully functional (wood provided by owner).
I recommend the Birdman Coffeehouse for breakfast and occasional music nights. Magnolia Cafe, Also The quaint St Francisville Inn has a generous breakfast buffet (open 7days a wk). The Magnolia, the Frances, and the Lebanese cafe are all great for local lunch and dinner. Also there are some nice places in New Roads to eat across the new bridge.

If you are looking for a rental where you can escape from the real world, unplug, and really soak up the beautiful nature/scenery, this is the place! Our pup, Lady, really enjoyed exploring in the woods and creek area. The personal and artistic touches to the cabin are beautiful as well! One of the most unique and tranquil places I have ever stayed!

  • This place was great exactly what we were looking for! If you are looking for somewhere away from the city or just looking to unplug, this is it! The cabins were great. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed fishing in the ponds. You are a short trip into St Francisville for the store or to grab something to eat but we enjoyed the grounds so much we never really left accept to check out Tunica Falls. Tom & Cathy were great host and even brought us some fresh baked brownies. I highly recommend! We will be back for sure!!

  • Owners were friendly, attentive and hospitable! The cabin had everything we needed for a short stay and was close to everything we crammed into the short weekend. We hiked at Clark Creek, ate dinner at The Francis, enjoyed HOME MADE brownies that were given to us by our hosts! The next day we had breakfast at Birdman Cafe, explored Afton Villa Gardens and toured Rosedown plantation and gardens! I’m sure we will return in the future! Thanks for everything!

    Dara2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and his wife were so sweet! Very welcoming! We very much enjoyed our stay and plan on going back soon! We had brownies... fished.. picked black berries ... we even made friends with the neighbors that were staying in the cabin next door! We would love to go back in the winter time to enjoy the fire pit!

    Lacey2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute retreat away from the hustle of day to day life. The property is so well maintained and our cabin was very clean and cozy. There were other people in the cabins nearby but still so quiet and relaxing. We took a stroll around the pond and enjoyed our time away on the porch. We'll definitely be back. I'd recommend doing some grocery shopping before arriving because the cabin has what you need to prepare meals. The town's not far but once you get there if you go prepared you really won't want to leave. Thanks so much Tom for sharing your place with us, we really enjoyed meeting you.

  • Tom was a fantastic host. Very hospitable and very accommodating The cabin exceeded our expectations. It is stylish and has everything you need. It was a perfect choice for our trip to Tunica Falls.

  • Mr. Tom and his wife were the best host a guest can ask for. I highly recommend this site if you’re going out to tunica, or just want to relax and escape the city life. Power went out mid day because of work being done and he kept us informed and gave us flashlights and candles just in case we needed them. Mr Tom also gave us tips on fishing his wonderful pond stocked with some beautiful bass. Don’t hesitate, this place is paradise.

  • My husband and I needed a quick escape from New Orleans and couldn't have been luckier to find Tom's place. First of all, Tom is a terrific host and craftsman. He made us feel at home right away and has put such love and care into the cabin and property. The cabin itself is comfortable and has everything we needed. The setting was just stunning.. and refreshing... quiet (minus the birds and cricket!) and you could see so many stars. We even made a fire in the fire pit and just enjoyed the tranquility. It was a hard place to leave. We will be back though... and bring friends to rent his other cabins.

    Ariana2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's cabin at camp Weyanoke was a little slice of paradise! Not to be missed! Close enough to be get-away-able from the big cit of Baton Rouge for a night but also far enough away to feel totally different and refreshing. The cabin was immaculate as were all the grounds. Enjoy a walk in the woods, a quick trip to the Tunica falls, either of two fishing ponds and Tom and his family's hospitality! They brought us brownies, coffee in the morning, and worms for our fishhooks (the things you forget when rushing out for a one day trip!) Thanks so much Tom, we will be back,

    Kati2017-09-10T00:00:00Z

We brought things to cook and enjoyed fixing dinner and sitting out on the covered area over the pond with the lovely string lights. Enjoy a taste of country and farm life. Stay in our quaint 1000 sf garage apartment. Guests are welcome to use our pool (until 9:00 pm), fish in the pond, or take a walk on our property and enjoy God’s creation. We have milk cows, goats, two dogs and two cats. We have nine children, so although your stay will be peaceful, you will hear our children as they are out doing chores or playing.
Our property is 53 acres and only 10 minutes from downtown St. Francisville.
  • Lovely! Great location and you get peace and quiet to boot. The place was homey and comfortable and very clean.

  • My husband and I were travelling with my dad and my 13 and 11 year old kids. All of us loved the place and wish we could have stayed longer. My kids had so much fun playing with the kids who live there that they asked us to wake them up early the following day to make sure they had time to play in the morning. The space itself was larger than I expected. The three bedrooms were a nice size and we all slept great. Things to note if you are staying longer that a couple of nights is that there is no dishwasher so you will be handwashing dishes, and the only tv is in one of the bedrooms so you can't really all sit down to watch tv or a movie together. Overall, the place is fantastic, and the stay there felt like more of a vacation than the actual vacation did! We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.

  • We had a short stay of one night. The space is very modern and nice. Though we did not use it the pool looked very inviting. Will stay there again if we come back to the area.

  • This is a great getaway into the country for anyone wanting to escape the urban life.

  • Wonderful getaway from the city or place to explore St Francisville from. Donna and her family are absolutely lovely. It can be a quiet place for adults or a fun family trip on the farm. Peaceful with lots of room to roam and places to sit and relax outside. Pool is spectacular as well. Planning on coming back for sure!

  • Our family was looking for a getaway to just relax and have some together time. This property was perfect. The pool was incredible and we spent most of our time in it. The hot tub was also a nice end to our evening. We were even able to grill in the evening next to the pool. It was very peaceful and my husband also enjoyed spending a little time fishing at the pond. Very enjoyable trip.

The Little Red Barn at Chisum Farm is located on a 122 ac hobby farm with fishing ponds, hiking and bird watching areas approx. 10 mi. from town. Mini horses, mini donkeys, 3 goats and longhorn cattle reside on the property, a place we enjoy sharing with others. The LRB, built in 2001 has never been used as a barn and has a large bedroom, bath with shower and living room with a small kitchen area. A large front porch offers a place to relax and take in the views!
The kitchen area has an antique drainer sink, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and table and chairs, no oven or range. An outside grill is available for use and an induction hot plate inside. There is a twin bed in the living room used as a reading nook. The large bedroom features a king bed.
The neighborhood is a beautiful rural area. A store is located about 3-5 minutes away on Hwy 61 with almost anything you may have forgotten! The property was once included in the plantation where Lucy Audubon taught plantation children while husband, John was completing his famous book "Birds of America".
  • We loved Gail and Fran’s place. The Little Red Barn was adorable and we had the best time walking around the property. We had a fire in the pit and enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch every morning. It is very close to town and just a short drive from the Tunica Falls Hiking Trails! The king-sized bed was so comfortable! We will definitely be back!

  • The host were most gracious! We loved the seclusion of the property. The animals were an added perk! We loved grilling , sitting around the fire pit, rocking on the front porch and dancing under the stars ! It was a great escape for us and I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to enjoy the simplicity of country living.

    Carol2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! From the very first minute on the property we were just blown away by how perfect everything was. We were offered the cabin to make things easier for our 18mo daughter, which was so kind. The cabin felt like a cooler version of my grandmas house! My daughter had a blast playing outside and interacting with the many animals, especially the cat, who joined her for every nap and meal she had on the porch. It’s a truly rural setting with lots of natural wildlife. The books, as others have noted, were really interesting picks and the bathroom was very clean. My family will be spending a few days here again whenever we make the trip from the east coast to Texas!

    Mia Alejandra2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the cabin, not the barn. Fran and Gail made us feel completely at home. We enjoyed walking the property and interacting with the various animals. This place is well worth the visit and we plan to stay here again the next time we visit.

    Philip2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at the cabin and it was as fantastic as the first time. The leaves were beautiful and the fire was perfect for s’mores! Never disappoints. It is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the beautiful property. Gail and Fran are such generous hosts. Can’t wait til our next trip!

    Shelley2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to use as a hub to spend a few days touring all of the plantations and sights of Saint Francisville. It's close enough to them but yet totally private and peaceful without the feel of the commercial hotels and such. It's small but practical and really more roomy than any hotel room at a fraction of the cost. It has the charm of a country cottage in the middle of a huge family farm, although I don't think you'll be disturbed by tractors and harvesting. There's a huge front porch with plenty of seating to sit back and have a perfect view of the beautiful sunsets and peaceful evenings. If you are traveling with kids there are acres for them to run around and tire themselves out so mom and dad can have a restful sleep. I'm sure I'll be back again as I pass through.

    James2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gail, Fran, and their family were very friendly and accommodating upon our arrival. The LRB was sparkling clean and full of small touches to make you feel at home. Our little girl adored greeting the animals each morning. Thank you again for the hospitality! We hope to visit again.

    Rachel2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely setting, and the donkeys, pigs, and mini-horses were such a nice addition. One note: though a "kitchen" is listed, it consists of just a hot plate, and a few utensils. So if you'd like to cook, pack and plan accordingly.

  • Our contact was Patty, who was friendly, welcoming and courteous. The loft is an adorable space with ample natural light and the upstairs is a small but charming art gallery. Located in the heart of town and close to the Vintage Cafe where we ate lunch one day. The Wi-Fi didn't perform as we had hoped, and did wish it was more centrally located as we didn't have great cellular connection in the area and were hoping to use it to download things to use when no connection was available near town as we explored nearby areas. Overall it was a nice, comfortable stay!
