Houses in Vienna

Vienna Luxurious Villa with garden & parking
We felt completely comfortable in the accommodation. The house was very clean, well-maintained and tastefully decorated – you came in and felt welcome right away, even the smell when entering was pleasant. The hostess was extremely friendly and attentive, you immediately noticed that she really cares about the well-being of the guests. The kitchen was very well equipped, so you could easily cook for yourself. The beds were comfortable, it had everything you needed, and even little things were thought out. The location is great – quiet, but with quick access to the city. Especially practical: there was safe parking on site. In short: an all-round successful overall package that we would recommend at any time. Thank you for the wonderful time!

House with garden in Sievering
Highly recommended! In a quiet area outside the city center.

Small cozy house on the outskirts of Vienna
Home is in a quiet & peacefull location away from the city. Perfect if you have a vehicle to travel to a local carpark & use public transport into the city.

Sissi's garden house: distance - green tranquility - carport
The accommodation was as expected. A little further from the center, but therefore wonderfully quiet and nice environment and nice house with two small children. Alexander and his wife were incredibly friendly and super attentive. Absolutely a top apartment and top accommodation for Vienna!

House on the lower old Danube
The house was in a lovely quiet neighborhood. The upstairs study room was great for doing some work and the kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely stay there again.

Entire house in a green paradise and yet in Vienna
We had a great time in Vienna in this very nice house. The living room is spacious and welcoming, the sunny terrace without a view is perfect for relaxing, and the immediate proximity of the woods allows for magnificent walks – ideal when traveling with a dog! The house was very clean, well-equipped, and parking is easy. The bedding is comfortable, which made our stay even more relaxing. The host was very responsive, always available by message, and attentive to the smooth running of our stay. Bonus: we found delicious organic honey right next door, and the Otto Wagner villa with its beautiful stained glass windows is only a 5-minute drive. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the center of Vienna. A place we would definitely recommend!

in the Heart of Vienna Nr: 2
A wonderful place for - especially for short parties: Super fast and uncomplicated contact, one hour after booking I was able to check in, everything was explained in person - I got 2 more blankets 😊 - The sauna was the highlight on the cold evening. And even though I was actually late for breakfast, I got another espresso. Absolutely recommended and VERY HAPPY TO COME BACK! Thank you!

Cozy apartment on the old Danube
Nadine was very flexible. We were able to move into the accommodation before the specified date. Nadine and Jürgen were very friendly and helpful. If you like it quieter, this is the place to be.
Apartments in Vienna

Central location: Naschmarkt & balcony
Mariella is a wonderful host with a fabulous appartment in a “vibey”yet peaceful neighbourhood. The appartment is just as you see in the photos and has everything you could possibly want including some welcoming treats which is a lovely touch.Mariella provided several recommendations for the numerous restaurants, cafe’s and bars in the area of which we tried several, and all were “right on the money”. Transportation is a breeze with a bus stop right outside the building and the subway a short seven minute stroll away(just one stop has you in the old town). We had a fantastic seven night stay at a very reasonable cost and cannot recommend the the property and the host highly enough. Put simply, you cannot go wrong here. Thank you Mariella-unforgettable memories made. Dave and Lynda Denehey

Big apartment close to the city center
Anita’s place was absolutely perfect, very homely, quiet, comfortable and in an amazing location. So easy to walk into the city as well as to lots of local restaurants, bars and shops. Anita was most helpful with check in etc. We would love to visit Vienna again and stay here again!

TOP view Penthouse w/ rooftop pool & parking spot
Great location, great view, super stylish, everything you need for a short stay as a couple or small family. Everything is fine! Everything is wonderful!

Classic 3-bed with A/C, balcony near Judenplatz
This Vienna home was an excellent stay to round out our European adventure. The space was large, clean and centrally located in a beautiful neighborhood. We walked everywhere and very much enjoyed the excellent food options and coffee shops nearby. The gourmet Billa down the street was our favorite. We would absolutely stay in the gorgeous home again. 5 stars

The Garten-Studio
Had a fantastic stay at the Garten-Studio, super cute apartment in a great location. Sussane was a wonderful host, providing great recommendations and instructions throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Quiet "City Hall" Apartment
My husband and I had everything we needed for our stay. The location was walkable to what we wanted to see. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the recommendations for local Restaurants, especially the greek restaurant. The hosts were very accommodating and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Central old-style building with balcony 72 m²
The apartment is great, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is very good, with access to shops and public transportation. It wouldn't hurt to add a TV [I like to watch something local when I'm traveling] and maybe the room could be darker for sleeping [a good blackout]. Otherwise, the apartment is highly recommended. And Thomas is a very good host

Nice apartment, next to Naschmarkt
Great accommodation in Vienna. So close to Naschmarkt for food/drink, and Karlplatz to further explore the city. Michael was a fantastic host, would stay here again if in Vienna.
Cottages in Vienna

Auszeit (Timeout)-Vienna - Wellness Apartment
The Appertement getaway fully lives up to its name. The location is very quiet on the outskirts of the city, yet easily accessible by subway. The small front garden with shaded seating invites you to work quietly concentrated or read, etc. The apartment itself is very conveniently furnished, pleasantly spacious. Michael is very helpful and easily accessible as a host. I would love to come back anytime!

Cozy cottage with fireplace in the middle of the forest
A very nice and well-kept house.

Near Vienna - discount for "sleep only" on request
Amazing stay at Karl’s place. He showed us around his place, his garden and his woodwork. The place was very clean, kitchen was very tidy and we love how spacious it is. The place is also very close to the station, although train to the city centre takes an hour and costs some money. We love it overall and will definitely come back for a longer stay.

Lakeside winery house with private atrium courtyard
Christian's Winery is a fantastic place for a vacation in Burgenland. We spent a week there with our little daughter and felt very comfortable from the beginning. The beautiful courtyard with its trees and small pool is a relaxing oasis, but the house itself is also wonderful for a small family. A highlight was also the semi-professional coffee machine. Christian himself is super friendly and responds almost immediately to any questions. The fact that he also had some private things in the house did not bother us at all. On the contrary, since he rents out his own home, it has a personal flair that is otherwise difficult to get. Airbnb, as it should be.

Renovated farmhouse with garden in a quiet location
Everything was perfect. We was at Hubert's house for work during 7 days with an extension of other 4 days. Wein is super cool: historical places, good restaurants... many things to do. Special thanks to Jenny for her help replaying all our questions. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Charming Cottage with romantic Garden
Perfect place for the week at my conference! A nice quiet reprieve from the busy days while also being close to the city center!

Country house with pool
The house is lovely, with a great garden and pool. Bianca was a fantastic host - friendly and really helpful. We loved our stay.

Gem, the Cottage Gols, near lake Neusiedl
Very nice landlord, clean and very nice accommodation that is furnished with great taste. Quiet location within cycling distance of the lake. The kitchen is more for small cooking sessions but completely sufficient. I felt very comfortable Tip: In the other location, there is also a fine breakfast and if you like wine, Gols is the right place!

Your guide to Vienna
All About Vienna
A city brimming with culture and history, Vienna is home to stately buildings, beautiful gardens, and more than 100 museums, with classical music at its heart. Austria’s capital gave birth to the world’s greatest composers, and today the Viennese Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra are among the most famous musical ensembles that call this city home. The city stages more than 15,000 musical events every year, with concerts and operas to enjoy almost every day of the week.
The city’s most impressive buildings include Schönbrunn Palace, the lavish former royal residence; Hofburg Palace, the largest palace complex in the world; and the opulent St. Stephen’s Cathedral. At the Kunsthistorisches Museum, you can see the world’s richest coin collection, while the Leopold Museum is Vienna’s finest art museum, and the MUMOK offers one of Europe’s most extensive contemporary art collections.
Along with music and culture, drinking good coffee in a traditional coffee house is an important part of everyday life in Vienna. Local favorites include a Wiener Melange (similar to a cappuccino) or a Mozart Café — a double espresso with whipped cream and sherry brandy. The Viennese believe that coffee is best enjoyed with a pastry, like an apple strudel, a Sacher torte (a Viennese chocolate cake), or a Kaiserschmarrn (a fluffy shredded pancake).
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Vienna
Summer is a great time to secure a vacation rental in Vienna when the days are warm and sunny and the nights are mild, perfect for enjoying outdoor dining at the city’s many restaurants and cafes. The main square in front of the Rathaus turns into a gourmet street food market and outdoor cinema with events all summer long. The weather is still generally pleasant in fall, and the changing colors in the Schönbrunn Gardens are spectacular.
The Wiesn — Vienna’s Oktoberfest — kicks off in late September with plenty of events around town. The weather can be changeable in spring, with cool, rainy days mixed with sunny spells. Vienna is a magical place to be in winter, with snow on the ground, beautifully decorated streets, and traditional Christmas markets, which have been held in the city since the 17th century. There’s also the popular outdoor ice-skating rink and the city’s famous New Year’s Eve ball. It can get very cold, though, so make sure you bring plenty of layers.
Top things to do in Vienna
Schönbrunn Palace
This former royal summer residence is a UNESCO World Heritage site of cultural importance. Dating back to the 17th century, it boasts an extravagant 1,441 rooms, and a tour inside allows you to visit 45 lavishly furnished interiors befitting Austrian royalty. Outside, the sprawling palace grounds offer beautiful gardens with rows of flowers, a hedge maze, and the Neptune Fountain. The Gloriette, which is situated high above, offers amazing views of the entire palace complex and beyond.
St. Stephen’s Cathedral
Built in the 12th century, this immense Gothic Cathedral is the most important church in Austria. The impressive baroque interior houses many treasures, including priceless jewels and holy books, as well as the tombs of Viennese luminaries. When inside, look up and notice the intricately patterned main roof with hundreds of colored tiles. You can climb the 343 steps to the top of its tower, where you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of the city.
Wurstelprater
A visit to this historic amusement park is free, and here you can ride its iconic landmark — the 213-foot-high Wiener Riesenrad — one of the oldest Ferris wheels in the world, for a fee. You’ll enjoy beautiful views of the city and the River Danube as you reach the top, with many other rides, games, and attractions, including a waxworks display. There are also food stalls and a famous traditional Viennese restaurant that’s known for its pork knuckles.
