Best of Vienna Walking Tour
Discover Vienna's historic old town on a fun and comprehensive walking tour with me. We leave the big tour groups behind and explore the city in our own small team. Let's make it interactive - there are no dumb questions ;) We start on the banks of the Danube canal to find out why the Romans decided to settled down here of all places. A short walk later we marvel at the impressive tower of St. Stephen's Cathedral while I tell you about its hidden symbolism of numbers. Further highlights on the way include Mozart's apartment, the old Greek quarter, romantic hidden alleys and courtyards, the Spanish Riding School as well as an almost real da Vinci. Upon arrival at the vast Hofburg Palace complex we will finally talk about the rise of the mightiest family in the history of Europe: the Habsburgs. But Vienna's history doesn't stop with the fall of the Habsburgs: where did Hitler speak in front of 200,000 cheering Austrians? And what makes modern-day Vienna the city with the highest standard of living worldwide? While taking in the beauty of the city I will keep you entertained with the best stories about its past and present - plus some questionable jokes! Keep in mind that we finish at Albertinaplatz, not where we met at the beginning. All tours are held in English.
Paragliding Tandemflight Glacierview
A special adventure is waiting for you! Experience the Tyrolean mountains on our paragliding tandem flight with a spectacular view of the Stubai Glacier. We combine freedom with adrenaline, fun and self-awareness and lead you to places that are otherwise only known to locals. You will see natural beauties that only exist in high alpine terrain. First of all, the cable car takes us up to an altitude of 1,800 meters. (cable car ticket 12.- euro-not included) At the launch site you can see all the splendor of the Alpine habitat with flower meadows in summer, ski slopes in winter and of course an impressive mountain backdrop. Here you can also visit a walk-in sundial, which was built by local farmers. Then we prepare our equipment and get ready to start. Instead of a strenuous walk, we will fly down into the valley with the tandem glider and experience a feeling of complete freedom. During the flight we have a breathtaking view both towards Innsbruck and a bird's eye view of one of the last large Alpine glaciers. We explain everything you need to know about these primeval giants, who are very threatened by climate change. Depending on the thermals, wind and weather conditions, we will be in the air for about 15 minutes and then land gently at the starting point of our tour.
Explore Hallstatt with a photographer
Together we will discover and explore Hallstatt, probably the most photogenic mountain gem in the Austrian Alps. I was born and raised in this region and I'm quite confident to say that I know every single corner of this village ;) The tour will take at least about 2 hours. We will cover the obvious "touristy" postcard photo spots, but I will also show you some hidden hideaways. I will take pictures and provide between 20-30 edited HI-RES pictures on the same day the tour takes place via Dropbox link. PLEASE NOTE: I'm a licensed tourist guide (certified in accordance with the stipulations of Europen Norm EN 15565:2008) AND photographer, so you get the best of both worlds - a well structured tour about the history & culture of Hallstatt, plus professional pictures. If there is no availibility for the day you want to visit Hallstatt, please get in conctact with me, maybe we can arrange an alternative starting time. Also if you are looking for a proposals/pre-wedding/engagement shooting, just send me a message, I do these kind of shoots on a regular basis and know the best spots for these kind of photos Other things to note Hallstatt is a really small village, so you will definitely will see all parts of it in these approx. two hours tour :)
Great Taste of Vienna
Looking for a fun and tasty experience in Vienna? You've just found it! This Vienna food tour will take you on a culinary adventure through the city, from cafes to street stalls to upscale dining. First up, because it would be rude of us not to offer you a coffee and breakfast before getting started. Then, we’ll head into a lively part of the city where most tourists would never think to go. It’s here that we’ll enjoy our first lunch (yes, there will be multiple lunches!), prepared by a renowned Viennese chef. Next stop is a bustling, vibrant local market for our second lunch. Be sure to save some room, though, because next we’ll discover where the locals go for the best coffee in the city. You’ll graze on some sweet and savory delights, hand-picked by your guide. This tour is sure to make you fall in love not just with Viennese food, but with Vienna’s culture. You’ll learn the locals’ secret to “gemütlichkeit” and understand why Vienna is placed so high in the “most liveable city” rankings. Other things to note The tour will take about 5 hours. We provide a very authentic tour that is personable, entertaining, and full of interesting stories about Vienna.

Schnitzel & Strudel: Cooking with Lena

Half-day Countryside Wine Tour near Wien with Dinner
We will pick up our guests at selected hotel in Downtown Vienna with our air conditioned minibus. During the 30 minute ride to the Weinviertel Wine Region we briefly tell about the history of Austria and the development of the wine culture in the area. In the Weinviertel we visit 3 small, family owned winery, where we will meet with the owners or their familes and they will make a small presentation about their wines. Since these wineries are usually not available all the time, because they have to do all the works in vineyard as well in the cellar, we have established partnership with 9 wineries in the area and pick 3 for every tour. We are going to taste mostly local white wines, like Grüner Veltliner and Yellow Muscat, along with Austria's favourite red wine, the Zweigelt. At each place we taste 4 glasses of wine, so we prepare with some snacks at each place and at the last winery we complete the experience with dinner. If the conditions allow we also will have the opportunity to see the wine cellar or the production facility. After the tour we take the guests back to Vienna where we picked them up.

Enjoy a delicious meal of Austrian classics, paired with Austrian wine or beer, of course. After dinner, you’ll get to experience a bit of Austrian nightlife with stops at a popular bar known for its mixology and featuring one-of-a-kind cocktails. We’ll also visit a new restaurant with stunning interior, where you’ll get to try a few more Austrian wine or beers. By the end of this tour, you’ll know all the best places in the city to get local beer, wine, cocktails, or whatever else your heart desires! Adventure at Eagle's Nest-Hike Tour
Enjoy a day of adventure combining amazing views and exciting war stories. First stop, meeting at the Obersalzberg! Once, one of the most secretive locations on Earth. From there we will start our hike up to the Eagle´s Nest. Very important to know is that I will navigate you through the mountain, set up an appropriate pace for all and establish breaks every 20 minutes. The hike takes on average 2:30 hours to complete. The distance of the hike up is 4,47 miles (7,2 km) and the gained altitude is 2857 feet (861 meters). The terrain is not technical but it is steep, and the forest provides with good coverage from the sun. On top, you will find the famous Eagle's Nest on the exact same way it was found in 1945 by the men of the 101's . There we will enjoy the rewards of our hike. Astonishing views, a picnic in the mountain (take the food you want to eat with you) or a visit to the restaurant. After exploring the alpine terrain, we will ride down (bus) the mountain back to the Obersalzberg where will finish exploring the area! The forest is filled with secret locations that tell the story of WWII, from the rise and fall of the third Reich(Hitler's Berghof, secret access to the bunkers, etc) that most people will never visit when in the area. The tour can be booked for groups.
Hike the lush Vienna Woods
Go on a half day adventure into nature and be back in time for your evening plans! Escape the tourist crowds in the stuffy city and restore your energy walking through Vienna’s flourishing forest instead. This hiking experience is about discovering Austria from a native angle. We live right next to the most beautiful forests, complete with well maintained hiking trails and walking paths that lead into lush green woods as well as past spectacular wide reaching landscapes. In German we actually call it “wandern” and as you might have guessed: it is closer to walking than to climbing and almost always includes going up and down a little mountain or a big hill. It is gently challenging and you will definitely work off those vacation calories. Breathe the fresh air, let your eyes take in all the different hues of vibrant greens and revel in the joy of doing something good for yourself.
