  • Mick has been an awesome host, we had 2 of our guys (employee's) stay there and had a little hiccup with the oven (they didn't know how to turn it off *insert face slap*) however Mick came to the rescue. Friendly, respectful and quick to respond to any and all queries, will go above and beyond. Thanks Mick for settling the boys in and being on hand if they required! much appreciated. Would highly recommend Mick's place if you were wanting something neat, affordable, and central with the bonus of having a readily accommodating host on hand

The kitchen is well equipped (including sharp knives), the fridge is a great size and there is a dishwasher! Having a washing machine, dryer and air drying racks & pegs within the apartment was very helpful too Michael was always quick to respond to any questions and extremely helpful.     Centrally located in the south west corner of the city precinct, 2nd storey apartment. with secure bedroom & ensuite close to supermarket, cafes, cinema & public transport. (all only a 5 minute walk away) Includes air conditioning, tv, dvd, wifi & shared use of kitchen & living space with balcony. Includes bbq, lift access and pool The apartment catches all prevailing breezes which makes it very pleasant. The apartment is 2km from the Magnetic Island ferry terminal (Greyhound Bus Terminal).
    You have sole use of your lockable bedroom and private ensuite. You have shared use of the kitchen, living areas and balcony (with bbq) The bedroom is complete with a firm Queen size bed, and desk for PC use. There is a wardrobe with hanging space, and a large flat screen tv with dvd player The kitchen is equipped with an electric hotplate and oven. Coffee and a range of teas are also included. Breakfast provisions are included. You also have access to a full internal laundry. There is a small fee for using the washing machine and/or the clothes dryer. You have shared use of the garden area and swimming pool
    Your are located within the central business area of Townsville, with public transport only one block away (buses) as is a cinema. Banks, pubs and supermarket are close, and only a further block away. Flinders Street is a 5 minute stroll away, with cafes and shops There is good cofffee in Townsville. We'll let you know where. And lots of alfresco bars. You are staying in the city precinct of North Queensland's largest town, so there can be traffic noise at night and early in the morning. The room is quiet if you close the windows and optionally have the ceiling fan on low, you are likely to have an undisturbed night.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Bills very large apartment! It’s the entire floor and is furnished beautifully. It’s very hot at the moment but even with the aircon off, the apartment stays really cool. The location is perfect, it’s right across the road from the beautiful Strand. Bill has thought of everything, we brought a lot of our own stuff but it wasn’t necessary as it was all there!! All in all it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back here!

  • We were very comfortable for our week stay in Townsville here. The apartment is a self-contained unit behind the hosts’ residence. Amazing views! Great Aircon for the hot months, but also a lovely breeze — and that view! Peter included some lovely extra touches that were above and beyond — hotel quality bedding, a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and beach towels! In addition to other necessities like toiletries, a functional kitchen and a very clean place. 5 stars all the way. Thank you !

    My apartment is in the Townsville cbd & walking distance to cinemas, theatres, museums & galleries, public transport, night clubs, bars, restaurants & v8s track. With airport, beach, ferry terminal & train station all within a short drive. Located above my cafe open 7days a week 7am - 3pm. You’ll love the ambiance, location & private parking. It’s comfortable, clean & tidy and great for weekend escapes, business trips & trips to major townsville events. It suits bookings from 1 to 4 guests.
    The apartment is above my cafe and you are welcome to spend time in cafe and courtyard during opening hours (7am to 3pm) but ask that you don’t use the courtyard after hours.
    We are walking distance to bus stop/taxi rank, cinema, supermarket, restaurants, art galleries, pubs and clubs. Walking distance or just a short car ride to The Strand (beachfront), aquarium, museum, ferry terminal and train station.
  • Ann Marie’s place was clean and what we had expected after reading the reviews. It had many staples in the cupboard and fridge, and a breakfast basket with fruit, bread and muffins. We walked to the new stadium for a concert and it took us 33 mins from the apartment door to our seats inside the stadium. It is noisy from the street at night and the cafe below, in the mornings. But, if you rise before 7am it was fine. The stairs are steep, and could be a problem, especially at night, or if you are impaired. Overall central location, clean, well equipped, air conditioning, walk to Woolworths.

    Come and stay in a traditional North Queensland Pub in one of the towns oldest suburbs, South Townsville. Take in the sweeping views of Castle Hill from the wide timber verandah with your morning coffee, enjoy a drink and delicious meal at skull and swallow cafe downstairs or perhaps a swim in the tropical pool. This is an independently owned and operated family pub/hotel with great live music offered on most nights in the beer garden.
    The rooms are set in a traditional North Queensland family run pub in a local inner city neighbourhood. The rooms have internal access as well as french doors opening up onto the large veranda that is shared with other guests. This room is fan only. All rooms come with fridge, fan and hand basin within each room. Shared bathroom facilities are located close by. Barrister made coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner being served from the Skull and Swallow cafe downstairs. Live music and saltwater pool available for use in the beer garden

    This little hideaway is close to cinemas, cafes and the nightlife of Flinders Street.     Airy and light. Top floor with great views of Magnetic Island and the beach foreshore. Very close to Gregory Street cafes and restaurants. Close to beach,waterpark and Tobruk pool. Supermarket is a 1 minute walk. City is a 5 minute walk away. Lounge room with leather lounge suite opens onto verandah with stunning views. Separate dining area and modern kitchen. Two bedrooms available each with a queen size bed and ensuite. Separate laundry with washing machine and dryer available.
    I love my home, it's open, airy and great views over to Magnetic Island and up to the Palm Islands. It is the 3rd floor of the unit complex, however access is via the stairs. It's across the road from the beach. If you like walking The Strand is a great walk. Or walk to The Rockpool for a swim. It's a short walk into the city centre, close to cafes, shops and restaurants. If you want to buy food, Coles, a bakery, butcher and The Source are in the shopping complex across the road at the back of the complex. Quiet cul de sac and only 2 other units in the complex.
    Close to all amenities. Cafes, restaurants, supermarket, butcher, bakery, clothes shops, Seaview Hotel and the beautiful Strand.

  • The outside of the building isn't that appealing but inside is great. It was like a home away from home. Every gadget you would want was in the kitchen, there were games, DVD's, pencils/crayons in the lounge, the main bed was very comfortable and the ensuite clean and practical. All rooms had aircon/heat pumps and ceiling fans which cooled the place down well as it was mid 30's when I was there. The 2nd bedroom was large although the esnuite was smallish but functional. There was a small laundry which I didn't need but would be handy for longer stays although the clothes lines and peg were pretty dated. There wasn't a lift which would be an issue for someone with a pram or mobility issues but for myself it was fine. The location was a block away from a lot of eateries and Coles, Subway, KFC etc so there was no shortage of food choices. It was only a matter of meters from The Strand. With the fan/heat pump being needed at night I didn't hear any traffic or people. There was bottle of red wine waiting on arrival and chocolates on the beds. It would certainly be my first choice when visiting TSV next time.

    The apartment is fully self contained with a kitchenette that has convention microwave, fridge, electric cooktop, toaster and kettle as well as basic crockery and cooking equipment. There is a comfortable double bed, tv and a comfy lounge chair in the living room. All linen is supplied and bathroom has a hairdryer. We supply a continental breakfast pack on arrival as well as some basics e.g. salt, pepper and oil.
    The apartment is above my cafe and you are welcome to spend time in cafe and courtyard during opening hours (7am to 3pm) but ask that you don’t use the courtyard after hours.
    The apartment is close to the city centre with cinema, restaurants and shops all a short walk away.

The fridge was full of food and drinks, which is very nice coming from an intercontinental flight.     Location, location, location. Top floor fully airconditioned 2 bedroom unit that sleeps up to five people (5th person on air mattress) with secure parking. Located in Northward with views of castle hill and the city. A 10 minute walk to the strand, stadium, city centre, restaurants, casino, cinemas, night life and castle hill. Pool, tennis court and BBQ in complex and free WIFI. Children are welcome but parents please be aware the unit is on top floor and I have two balcony areas.
    Self contained unit. Both bedrooms are air conditioned, the main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. An additional air mattress can be provided for a 5th person if needed however it's only a mattress on the floor. The bathroom has access from both bedrooms with locks on both doors for privacy. Kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, glass cooktop and cooking utensils. In the laundry there is a 5kg washing machine, extra towels and linen for long term stayers. The living area has a split air conditioner, television, DVD player, comfortable lounge, bookcase with games, DVD's and there is a writing desk with printer.
    Quiet neighbours, unit overlooks city.

Secure single car undercover accommodation is available and there is also a fully fenced yard perfect for pets (all pets outside only). Please note this is a house located at the back of another property. It is a completely separate area and the only shared access is the drive way.

  • We really enjoyed our four night stay here. The view is even better than the pictures! The studio apartment was perfectly adequate for the two of us & we felt very comfortable. The bed was lovely & we appreciated that there were 4 pillows to choose from. We used the balcony quite often during the day & evenings. The air con was much appreciated too, but we did not have to use it often. The small kitchen was well equipped for preparing small meals. The coffee pods & milk were a very welcome touch, as were the toiletries & beach towels. We also liked the large walk in shower. The location was ideal with plenty of restaurants close by & a Coles supermarket within easy walking distance. Wendy’s communication & after hour access instructions were very clear. Wendy was very kind & friendly. We hope to return to Townsville & stay here again in the near future & have no hesitation to recommend to others.

A small balcony with table and chairs provided to enjoy that glass of wine or your early morning coffee/breakfast looking at the glorious view. We stayed at the apartment 1312 over the New Years celebrations and is was the best location to be able to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks. You could not beat this for location. Room 1312 is located on the top floor of "The Acquarius Apartments", located at the very end of Level 13, the building is older style and the room is basic, it is a studio apartment as advised. And is not 5 star as mentioned. The location on the Strand is great with many restaurants within walking distance to choose from. With the Rock pool and netted beach swim area with is patrolled beach is walking distance of the apartment. Check in was very easy with instructions provided from the host. There is limited cooking facilities in the apartment but most of the utensils / cooking implements that you would require on a short holiday. Some condiments are provided sauces, milk, water, S&P, milo, foil, glad wrap etc. A good size fridge is provided as well. The king bed is very comfortable and wi-fi worked very well in the room. Good size TV with foxtel. Air conditioning was much appreciated in the apartment. No washing machine or dryer is in the room but there are laundry facilities located on Level 1 of the apartment building to use with a fee, I did not use these appliances so I cannot comment on these facilities. The bathroom is older style with a handy bath/shower if required, and toiled located in the bathroom, we did have some issues on arrival but these were attended to with a quick call to the hosts and rectified. The apartment is very quiet and you do not hear any noise from the adjoining apartment. The building has a lovely pool area that is kept very clean with loungers provided and a new deck to sit on enjoy. Parking at the apartments is a first come first served basis, so not enough car spaces available for everyone when the apartments are all full, street parking is available to use. In the foyer of the building there are many brochures on activities to do in the area and also provided is a drink machine and chip/lolly machine for your convenience. The gardens around the building are maintained and are lovely to enjoy sitting in and relaxing. A nice place to visit.

    We own two rescue greyhounds, Bob and Inga so guests must love and respect animals if they want to stay. They are both placid and will not bother any guest staying with us. I am studying Veterinary Science full time and therefore in and out but I will gladly assist you anyway I can.
    Garbutt is an up and coming suburb with lots of beautiful old houses being renovated its close to the coastline and surrounded by some cool places, such as castle hill, Rowes bay and Pallarenda beach with its own conservation park at the cape.
