The Hideaway was extremely comfortable and cozy for our local adventure. The bed and pillows were wonderful, the kitchen and bathroom were thoughtfully stocked, and the whole place was pristine. Briona went above and beyond to provide snacks for us to take on our local rock-hounding and hikes. We would absolutely recommend the Hideaway for your local accommodations!

Excellent visit! Our family of 10 had plenty of room to hang out in the lodge. Beautiful place and surroundings and very convenient location. We’ll be back!

An excellent house with everything that you are looking for! It was only the two of us, so the cost wasn't top rate, but with three bedrooms, I assume it is a great deal. Based on the looks of other properties in this town, it had to be one of the nicer homes and the seclusion made it even better. Very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked! Coffee maker was difficult to figure out even with the manual we searched for online. One day, we hit the right button, the next day didn't happen! However, everthing else exceeded expectations. Spices, oils, bags, coffee grinder, condiments in the fridge, leftover beer and soda....everything! Linens, washer and dryer with pods, TV was solid even though I brought my own firestick. Back patio has a cover area with a bar in the weather was warmer and you wanted to have others over. We even had four deer walk through as our welcoming party. Beds were great. Books and games, too. What a place and made it easy to respect the property.

Tera’s place was super cute and cozy! All the amenities needed for a comfortable stay! Easy self check in with simple instructions somehow we still had trouble figuring out the front door and accidentally locked ourselves out. Messaged Tera and she came right away to the rescue! She was extremely responsive, helpful, and friendly! The house and hot tub were clean, private, quiet and very cozy! Super yummy treats, plenty of coffee options, and even a hand written thank you note from the amazing host made us feel welcome and right at home for our stay. Super close to town and short distance to recreation and downtown. Would absolutely stay here again!!! Thanks Tera!!

Cute, comfortable place and convenient to John Day. Friendly locals. Bring your own food and gas up your car before arriving. Only one restaurant open from 7am-4pm which was excellent (Dayville Cafe). One operating gas pump at gas station which also closed at 6pm and was very expensive. Grocery store was closed until Mother's Day, and other place across the street was also temporarily closed. Aside from that inconvenience we enjoyed our stay.

The Lost Goose airbnb is perfect for a weekend getaway, or even a week long trip. David, the host, is really nice and has taken care of the place really well! There’s nothing like waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of the mountains and the sound of the birds and peace!! His place is clean and extremely welcoming and comfy, and very easy to feel right at home!
