Places to stay in Spokane
You couldn't be more central to urban and nature! This suite is the entire top floor of a historic home in Browne's Addition. It's a half-block to one of Spokane's first parks with splashpad. The back of the property slopes down to Latah Creek—a trail network that leads to the Spokane River and a local disc golf course. Kitty-corner across the park is a hoppin' corner with a public house, pizza, and coffee shop.
  • Coming to Erika and Scott's place truly felt like coming home after a long night out. We were in town for a concert which went quite a bit later than expected; so to arrive at such a warm, cozy, and homey place afterward was more than we could have hoped for. Prior to our arrival, Scott and Erika were easy reach; the day of our stay, they made sure we had everything that we needed. They even turned the lights on for us because they knew we would be arriving late. Add to that a clean house, a comfortable bed, and a kitchen stocked with tea: what more could you ask for?

    Jessica2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The unit was beautiful and MUCH more spacious than I originally thought, more than enough to accommodate me and two other people. Erika and Scott were quick to respond to any questions I had. The tea and instant coffee were much appreciated. There’s a very nice TV there with Netflix. The location is near a bus stop, which was great since we didn’t take a car. We had a great first visit to Spokane and if I ever come back I would love to stay here again.

    Michelle2018-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean private space. Quick responses to questions, very helpful. Excellent location with several delicious eateries within walking distance.

    Kelly2019-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Very convenient to the highway and downtown, yet in a cute neighborhood. Scott and Erika were very responsive and nice. It is in an older house, so has old stairs up to the place, if that is an issue for you, but it was fine, just be careful. So nice to have a whole apartment to yourself! Very comfortable.

    Shannon2019-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Scott and Erika’s place was clean and affordable with everything you need. Would stay here again

  • Great place in a quit neighborhood

    AHmed2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was big, clean, and nicely stocked. Very happy with my stay!

    Victoria2018-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great price, great communication. Place was fine, but a little underwhelming in terms of cleanliness and warmth. But if you’re looking for a cost effective place in a cool neighborhood, this is your spot.

  • Great place! All the amenities you need in a compact space without it feeling crowded. And the price is excellent. Close to the river but not so far from restaurants and places to visit.

    Samantha2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable bed, nice decor with vintage touches, quiet, certainly a good value. Travelers should be advised that this is a small space in a house that has been converted to apartments. Ceiling is low and bathroom would be difficult for a tall/larger sized person to use. Other than that, it met all our needs, and our hostess was wonderful.

    Lance2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • cozy, private, quiet studio with full kitchen. nice location. highly recommend.

    Claire2018-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's place was great, perfect for the two of us, neat and tidy with an attention to detail. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great home base to explore Spokane from.

  • This place was perfect for me to stay in. Love to stay there again.

    Michael2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This little studio was so adorable and much better than a hotel! There's even little extras like coffee, creamer, and shampoo! I forgot to bring coffee but it was great to be able to wake up to it anyway! This home is very clean and quiet. We never heard anyone else in the house. We will definitely be back!

    Dayna 2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really nice, quaint place to stay. Beautifully decorated with calming blues, and in a fairly nice spot in town! Kathy was very kind and helpful! I had texted her about needing the Wi-Fi password and let her know the DVD player wasn't working. She was very quick to help me out and even brought up another tv with a DVD player! The only downside was there wasn't any towels, it didn't bother me at all so I didn't bug her about it but I know she would have been very helpful if I had! Thanks for the stay!

My place is close to Everything! You will be only 3-4 blocks from the city center, Bars, restaurants, and river front park. The knitting factory concert house and the Fox Theater are across the street. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the newly finished interior, the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo travelers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The Bedroom has a queen sized bed with a brand new mattress and the living room has a fold out sofa.
  • This location is great. Scott is an excellent host and makes everything easy. The parking pass is a great feature and the building is super secure. Everything was spotless and comfortable. No wi-fi in the loft but it is available downstairs and easy to get to.

    Chris2018-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very hip, spacious, central, and clean apartment in the heart of downtown Spokane with a great cityscape view! I can not say enough wonderful things about the apartment! Everything is in walking distance---amazing restaurants, nightlife, and lots of running paths :) We were traveling for business and for pleasure---and we would definitely stay at Megan's place again!! Hope to be in Spokane some day soon:) Thank you Megan for sharing your apartment and for communicating so well with us!!!

    Alison2017-05-09T00:00:00Z

  • Thank you Heather & Garric for sharing your lovely and cozy basement apartment! It was very clean and welcoming. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The fresh chicken eggs were very delightful as well. 10/10 would recommend!

    Kayli2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was my 2nd stay at Garric & Heather’s and was equally as wonderful as the first stay. It’s just the most perfect oasis in Spokane — I highly recommend staying there!

    Jan2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beyond perfect. You park your car and your private entry door is right there, which was so nice after a long day of traveling. The studio itself has way more of a loft feel; heated floors, a custom kitchen, and a bathroom with a claw foot tub that you'd have to experience to believe. I was sad I didn't have time to cook the fresh eggs they provided. The best part is hands down the bed. I wish I knew where they got their mattress topper cause I haven't slept that well in months! SO COZY. Superlative Airbnb, and I've stayed in many.

    Kristeen2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Thoughtful! Best way to describe the stay at H&G's. Fresh eggs were delicious, local tips in the welcome manual were helpful. Locally, I was able to walk through the park, to a bakery, to a pharmacy, to grab a meal, etc. In the home, everything I needed was practically and tastefully exposed, so I did not have to search for anything. Very comfortable bedding situation, beautiful bathroom, and very easy and safe check-in/checkout procedures. In terms of cleanliness, the place was pristine and spotless, would likely pass any white glove test. Overall, a great way to feel home away from home.

    Michael2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • It's a beautiful space with all the amenities of a fine hotel. It was exceptionally clean and well-appointed, and the bed is fantastically comfortable. I'd love to stay again if I find myself in Spokane!

    Chris2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space. Easy to come and go. Thank you!

    Mandy2017-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic hosts and a lovely property.

    Christian2018-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a special-special spot. Safe, beautiful, stylish, clean, and conveniently located. If you’ve never been to Spokane—specifically South Hill, you will fall in love with the town, the neighborhood, the sights, smells, everything. The studio is literally minutes from several coffee shops, restaurants, markets, the symphony, movie theaters, malls, Gonzaga campus, beautiful hiking trails, parks and golf courses, and rivers... what a perfect location and I haven’t even mentioned the hosts. Heather and Garric are wonderful hosts who have gone above and beyond to ensure every need and amenity is provided for you from the moment you check in. From heated floors to stylish art and fresh flowers and eggs in the fridge for you. There’s even a book with local recommendations for restaurants and local sight seeing. Every single thing you could want and more is provided by them—for you. There are remote controls with clear instructions for the television and the lights. Organic soaps, organic coffee, and teas, and cute dishes and utensils. Even the kitchen, bed, and bath linens all felt and smelled brand new. And the bed. THE BED. Maybe most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in—for sure it’s way more comfortable than other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. Anyway, I could go on. I guess all the above is why they are Superhosts. You’re sure to enjoy your stay. Can’t wait to return and this time with my husband:)

This renovated studio is part of a 1906 home on Spokane's beautiful South Hill. The neighborhood boasts picturesque parks, streets lined with beautiful Victorian and craftsman homes; with coffee shops and local restaurants interspersed. This studio has it's own entrance and is very peaceful and quiet—ideal for one or two guests. Fully equipped with air conditioning and all needed amenities for a very comfortable stay.
We've stayed in Airbnb's in over 15 countries. Sometimes we splurge, and sometimes we just want a clean, quiet place to crash for a night or two. We've designed our space to be the latter. Spokane tends to attract a lot of guests traveling through or in town for a wedding or conference. We designed our space to be a great value for our guests, yet very clean with hotel quality linens and mattress.
  • This was a great apartment! It was stylish and in such a cute neighborhood! It had everything we needed! Definitely would go back!!

    Suzi2018-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay! The check in was easy, and the directions to the place were very well done, making it easy to find. The place had a small kitchen stocked with utensils and dishes, which would be perfect for a longer stay. The bed was super comfy, and had a choice of soft or firm pillows, bathroom and shower were stocked with most of the necessities, and it was just all around a fantastic little place to stay! We would absolutely come again!

    Josh2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • This charming place is definitely a great stay. Quiet & comfortable with parking and an outdoor sitting area. Appreciated the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, the blow dryer, and coffee with coffee machine.

    Miranda2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this location - Very convenient to downtown Spokane. We experienced an easy, welcoming check in with great communication from our hosts. We enjoyed this restful spot.

  • This cozy, little apartment so warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in! I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Spokane.. The bed is like a a huge, fluffy, cloud. It was AWESOME. 5 stars all around.

  • This place is so cute, it is small but everything you need. Great location, great food and coffee shops nearby and the hosts were great to communicate with and accommodating to our needs. We would love to stay here again!

    Emily2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This little studio is so cute!!! We were incredibly comfortable and absolutely loved how cozy it was. We were super sad to have only booked one night! We'll definitely stay here again!!!

    Tiffany2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is perfect for 2 people!!!! There is not one thing I can complain about. We were very pleased when we first walked in, all the lights were on, the place was clean & everything was in place. They had recommendation to a couple places out the WiFi password and even a Netflix account. We had enough towels and toothbrushes as well. The shower had shampoo & conditioner and the kitchen had everything handy to cook! It was very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Our favorite part about this trip was coming back “home” every night to such a cool place. I would come back.

Trails, cafes, parks, pubs, museums and grocery stores—all within 5 blocks. You couldn't be more central to urban and nature! This private studio is inside a historic home in Browne's Addition. It's a half-block to one of Spokane's first parks. The back of the property slopes down to Latah Creek—a trail network that leads to the Spokane River and a local disc golf course. Across the park is a hoppin' corner with a public house, pizza, and coffee shop. Pet friendly for the well-behaved sorts.
Full kitchen and bathroom, new queen bed with separate living room area. High speed WiFi and access to laundry if needed. Excellent for a 1 or 2 night stay. • Scott & Erika’s place was fantastic and just what I was looking for. Great location close to downtown, places nearby to eat & close to the freeway so easy to get to. The room was spacious & clean, bed comfy & warm. I appreciated the easy check in, particularly as I was delayed by bad weather. Would stay there again next time I’m in Spokane!

  • A nice comfortable apartment. The first night was cold but they fixed the heater and it was warm after that. The couch and bed were very comfortable.

  • I came to Spokane for a quick, 1-day, solo business trip and was looking for something simple but in a good location. This apartment was just what I needed. It's in a really nice neighborhood next to a park and within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The bed is comfortable, and check-in was super easy. Erika and Scott even let me check in a bit early because of some overwhelming smoke in the city. For the price, you cannot beat this place.

    Brian2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Erika and Scott are great host. Very kind and helpful with any needs. Loved the apartment.

  • Kathy's apartment is great - it was more spacious we expected, thoughtfully furnished for comfort, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area on foot; Centennial Trail overlooks the river and is only steps away from the property. The snow prevented us from using the bikes she makes available for guests on the trail, but that would would be a fun option in warmer weather.

  • Kathy's apartment was quiet, clean and spacious. Checking in was very easy. Thank you Kathy!

  • Our upstairs apartment was very clean and we were very pleased with the size of the space. The kitchen was well stocked and larger than expected. The house doesn't look that large from the outside. You will not be disappointed with your stay. There was also an extra bed in one the large closets. Good to know for next time.

Free covered parking! 1.7 miles to downtown. One block from the bus stop for quick access to downtown. Four blocks from the Huckleberry's Market, and one block from the corner Ziptrip market. Five minutes to Spokane Airport, door-to-door! Spokane Haven is a cozy studio attached to the old carriage house on the property of one of the grand old homes on South Hill. Short Term Rental License - City of Spokane, Washington Permit No: Z17-490STRN
Ideal for travelers who want a private space that is very close to downtown and Spokane's many restaurants and entertainment venues.
This is a great walking neighborhood, amidst the charming historic South Hill homes. The local Huckleberry's Natural Market is a few blocks away, and has wonderfully healthy options along with a lively and fun cafe. There is also a laundromat/dry cleaners in the same shopping center right next door. It is a wonderful community gathering space. You are also a mile from one of the most beautiful public spaces I have ever seen, Manito Park.
  • Wonderful place in a quiet neighborhood, the covered carport was especially nice in the winter, though it was a little difficult to get into at times with the slushy snow we had. The unit is private, separate from the house, and has an amazing kitchen, great if you're planning on cooking rather than dining out. Karen included thoughtful amenities in the kitchen and bathroom, and the bed was comfortable and warm. The only negative was that the heater in the unit was slow to warm it up so we kept our jackets on at first.

    Michelle2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, clean space with a mid-century touch in the kitchen. The space is the perfect size, everything was so neat, and Karen was so communicative and listed clear directions—it made my stay that much more relaxing. Will definitely stay here next time I’m in town!

    Dana2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • First location, It is truly close to downtown and in a fairly nice neighborhood in the South Hill area. It is, however, right beside a road (speed limit 25) and you can hear some road noise from the bedroom when it’s quiet. Nothing so loud that we couldn’t fall asleep and stay asleep. If you are a light sleeper however, you will want to bring earbuds or just play some music in the background. Please read her driving directions as it’s a little tricky to find the house if you don’t. It is nice and private with self check-in. It’s a quaint apartment attached to a carriage house that she has used artistic touches to update. Love the vintage stove. The bed was super comfortable and the down comforter was more than adequate. The kitchen was well appointed with a blender, rice cooker, crock pot, toaster; about everything you could need. Appreciated the coffee and tea.

    Veronica2017-11-04T00:00:00Z

  • This place was a great option for my one-day business trip with a colleague; we each had our own room, we walked downtown for dinner, and had easy access to the highway, all for a price that is very competitive with a downtown hotel! would stay again if i have a need for the 2nd bedroom

A relaxing, restful night awaits you in your own quiet, private room in a lovely, totally remodeled home, 8 blocks north of Kendall Yards (restaurants, walking trails) and the Centennial Trail. The room is on the 2nd floor and the stairway is a bit narrow. I have a bit of a minimalist, uncluttered style. We are pretty busy running 2 small businesses but I am always available by phone and the onsite caretaker is very responsive to needs also.
Totally remodeled! This room has space for 4 people in the same party - the twin bed is in an alcove attached to the room, there is space on the floor for you to bring an air mattress, but we appreciate you bringing your own sleeping bag for the air mattress. Very nice and comfy! The room is on the 2nd floor as is the main full bathroom, there is a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor. There is a brand new bathroom in the basement space.
Located 6 mins to downtown Spokane, a very short walk to overlook the amazing Spokane River; 9 minutes to Gonzaga University; 13 minutes from the Spokane airport; 15 minutes to Whitworth University; 13 minutes to Riverside State Park; disc golf courses close by - something for everyone!

  • Our hosts were friendly and attentive. Ann was always in communication with us. The house was great, very nicely updated, clean and welcoming. Minutes from downtown. It was so nice to have an affordable place to stay as we passed through town. I would definitely stay at Ann's place again.

  • Ann was able to accept a very last minute reservation due to bad weather and an early flight. The accommodations were perfect. The bed was very comfortable. I even went back for some more sleep after dropping my husband off at the airport. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Ann!

Just one thing to be aware of when you’re booking is that winter rates and summer rates are evidently different. We didn’t realize this when we booked the stay. But other than that everything went well and we would stay there again!

The private loft in this historic 1900's house has all the character and charm you need for your visit to Spokane. Easy access to I-90 and very close to downtown Spokane. Stay here for the Lilac parade, Hoop-fest, Bloomsday run, events at the convention center, or simply for your visit to Spokane. We allow furry pets only in the kitchen area on the hard wood floor there is a gate at top of the stairs to use as a boundary. A $50 Pet cleaning fee will be charged.
Very open floor plan in the loft with bathroom. Stairs down to a full kitchen and entry from parking area. This space is NOT for you if you cannot walk stairs, if you do NOT like smaller cozy spaces! The bathroom IS smaller with lower ceiling but has a full size tub and also shorter shower because of the roof shape, but don't let this discourage you! It is quit a charming space!
This historical residence is among others in the area it resides close to grocery stores (Grocery outlet, and Huckleberry's) Manito Park is only a few minute drive south.
  • Leanne was helpful nice and attentive to any and all questions and concerns Quaint and private loft. Would be very pleased to stay here in the future

    Will2018-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely stay in a cool town! walking distance to downtown and a niceand friendly neighborhood! it was a sanctuary from high summer heat! We made use of the full kitchen one evening and were impressed with how well-stocked and thoughtful the place was! As a side note, if you are taller than 5'11" be ready to do some crouching, the upstairs is a little cramped for headroom. otherwise, it was perfect!

    Carmen2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding house, hosts, and location. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Brennan2019-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stay here!!! Leanne's lovely loft is so comfy, hip, and clean it felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect for us (close to South Hill and downtown) in a neighborhood of old Tudors, mansions, and craftsmen- such a delightful area. Her historic Victorian had the charm of an old house that seems familiar but with the added touch of today's comforts (coffee, snacks to-go, wifi, t.v., and new kitchen appliances). The area is perfectly walkable and close to Manito park- so bring your pups! But what really made this place shine was the hospitality of Leanne. You'll come expecting a bnb and leave with a newfound friendship.

    Emily2018-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Leanne is amazing!! She is quick to respond and is always helpful. The loft is beautiful and the bed is amazing. We felt right at home.

    Kyle2019-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were immediately floored by how wonderfully charming this loft was upon first entering it. It was well-stocked and well-kept. Leanne was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with - when we had any issues or questions, she and her husband went above and beyond to answer them. It was nice to have the sofa bed for a third guest. Overall the stay was great!

    Hima2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Leanne was a great host, super helpful and on top of communicating for whatever we needed!!! The space was spotlessly clean, and we really appreciated that they had a Pack and Play all set up for us when we got there since we were traveling with our baby! So nice to have that ready when we arrived after a long day of driving. The bed was super comfortable! And the keurig is always a great touch :) The space is beautiful and the pictures are accurate. Definitely be aware this is a QUIRKY space. They’re not kidding when they say don’t come if you don’t like small cozy spaces :) my husband is 5’10” and he still bumped his head a couple times. I think anyone much taller than that would not enjoy the shower or much of the space. It also was dimmer than we expected- even in broad daylight upstairs was very dark, which I guess makes sense with the small windows, but we didn’t really think about it, so just be prepared. Still a great space and very comfortable and unique! Thanks Leanne!!

Located on Corbin Park, our Shingle style home was built in 1908 and during WWII, the house was updated to include the two upstairs apartments to accommodate returning soldiers due to a housing shortage. This apartment is cozy, bright, and faces northeast, which means it gets a nice dose of morning sun- which you can enjoy on the balcony. The decor is eclectic Deco/50s and comfortable, with a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and full kitchen.
-Private entrance -Apartment is up a flight of stairs inside a coded locked door - The washer and dryer is complimentary and used by both apartments. Please let us know if you need the key. -Barry and I know what it's like to travel, we will provide coffee, tea, cereal, and snacks to help you get settled! Please let us know if you have any questions or needs we can help with. -Each apartment has it's own coded lock.
Our apartments are in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in the center of everything! 5-10 minute drive to downtown Spokane and shopping areas, the Spokane River (and beautiful Riverside Park), approximately 45 minutes to Lake Coeur d'Alene (Idaho), close to universities (Gonzaga, UW Spokane, Eastern), and close to many recreational activities, sporting events, and entertainment. From Historic Districts of Spokane's site : "Located two miles north of downtown, Corbin Park is one of only four local historic districts in Spokane. The site was the city’s first fairgrounds with a central racetrack. In 1889 a plat of the Corbin Park Addition included the former racetrack as a park in the center of the residential district. Homes within the district include a variety of styles such as Queen Anne, Tudor Revival, American Foursquare, Arts & Crafts, and Bungalows. The vast majority date from 1900 to 1925, but there are both earlier and later examples ringing the park. In 1909 a formal park design was prepared by the Olmsted Brothers, Landscape Architects of Brookline, Massachusetts. Today, most of the park has been adapted for current use ...." These days the park provides playground areas and a tennis court. It's a nice walk around the park, which is a 1.25 mile distance.

  • Kathryn was a great host and I highly recommend her place

    Don2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn was nice and communicative! The place is clean and has all the amenities including a giant TV with netflix and hulu which was really nice. House is not really in the city though or in walking distance to any restaurants or bars and I worried a bit about my car parked on the street. But overall we had a good time and Kathryn is nice and the place is perfect for an overnight stop!

    Oli2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn's place was comfortable and we slept well.

    Marisa2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely love her style. Her care, concern and thoughtfulness for every guest is obvious. Helpful notes and suggestions are left everywhere, including a notebook of local "all you ever wanted to know" for activities and restaurants. She has beverages available as an honor bar and provides a basket full of "did you forget somethings" in the form of an honor store. The accommodations are impeccable and exactly as described.

    Victor2018-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I were just in Spokane for one night to see a concert. Kate’s self check-in was perfect for us! The bed is comfortable, and it was so nice to take a hot shower. There was plenty of room in the fridge for us to store our purchases from the nearby Trader Joe’s, which was super helpful. Kate was highly responsive the whole time, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

    Heather (Bee)2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very quick to respond, great communication. Cute, clean, comfortable space with nice little details and perks. A very pleasant experience.

    Zanna2018-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at Kate’s. She has thought of everything. And I do mean everything! She anticipates all the needs travelers may want or need in a home-away-from home and the space is styled in the most inviting and comfortable manner. We did not feel like travelers, wanderers or even guests. We felt at home. You can be certain that if we have needs for a place to stay in Spokane again, we will most definitely be looking Kate up again.

A hidden gem among Spokane’s Historic Lower South Hill. This cozy guest house was crafted in the flapper era, just as WWII was ending. Come recharge and enjoy the view from overlooking Latah Creek. On your way home, stop at the local’s favorite spot; Picabu Bistro. The wine and cuisine there is divine. Nearby there are hiking trails, parks and shopping. This quaint little home is special and dear to my heart. It would be my pleasure to host you.
Mi casa es su casa. Let me know what you need in order to feel at home.
All of the best venues, tourist sights and local favorites are literally minutes from my home. If there’s anything specific you’d like to know about, just ping me. Happy to help.
  • If you want a great sunset view, this is the place to stay! Robert is very generous with his wonderful space, and is a great host.

  • The first night was so great, we booked another night :)

    Andrea2018-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Robert’s place. It was extremely close to the downtown area, yet had a charming nature feel. Check in was easy and Robert was accommodating to our flight changes. Would definitely recommend!

  • Robert was an excellent host and communicated very well. The location is great since it is close to shops and restaurants but still somewhat secluded and quiet.

  • Robert is a flexible and responsive host! His place is cozy and eclectic in a cool way and has beautiful sunset views.

  • I stayed at Robert's place for one night with my best friend while we were traveling from Mt. Ranier National Park to Glacier National Park - and it was a beautiful night in Spokane! Robert's place is spectacular - clean, with lots of little home touches, and a wonderful location. He has a beautiful backyard that is perfect for watching some of Spokane's best sunsets! He is also a charismatic and kind host - he was available to sit with us to watch the sunset and told us a little bit about life in Spokane, as well as a couple of recommendations for things to check out. Highly recommend!

  • Very handy to the wedding we were going to, Robert is very nice and helpfull

  • Robert was a wonderful host and took the time to tell me some sights to see while I will be in town. The bed was super comfy and the home was so relaxing with a great view. I greatly appreciated his consideration of my work schedule and knowing I’d be sleeping during the day and kept everything so quiet :) I very much enjoyed my stay at the beautiful little elm and would highly recommend it to anyone.

  • Everything was great - room was clean and cozy, we had water and snacks from host and selection of different tea. Wi-fi is good enough to participate in (Hidden by Airbnb) confcall. Bathroom is shared with other guests. So it means that you share your responsibility too, but we were lucky with our roommates.

    Olga2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great room and house. Everything was just as advertised. We were taking public transportation (ie bus) and it is almost a mile from the bus stop to the house down hill about 1/2 mile then uphill, nothing strenious, just a nice stroll. We would defiantly stay again when we are in the area.

    Reid2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, very quiet and welcoming. I'd recommend this to friends and family 5 Stars. Thanks for a great experience.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here while apartment hunting, and were glad to have such a relaxing respite at the end of the day. Aaron was a friendly, considerate, flexible, and welcoming host. He offered us use of the kitchen, living room, TV, basketball hoop, and even shared with us freshly baked cookies. The room itself is as advertised. It was clean and comfortable, and came with snacks and towels. The quality of the linens were top-notch. The bathroom even had a drawer with extra toiletries for guests. Peyton the dog was also a wonderful host. He was friendly, playful, and listened to commands. I would recommend this room to other Airbnbers and even my parents when they come to visit.

I live on 4225 west Crown ave the best way to access crown is off of Assembly take a right as you head East on Crown I am the 5th house on the right and it is red=steel siding, I drive a Red TOY Highlander that is typically in the drive way In the pictures I had a gold TOY Highlander at one time but now I got a red one Because I hit a deer with the gold one.
I live in the Northwest part of Spokane. My home is located about 1 mile from Safeway and Walmart on Wellesley Street and there is a shopping center. The Spokane Transit Authority Bus stop is about a football fields distance walk from my home on Assembly St. I am walking distance from the VA Hospital. About 10 minute drive to down town Spokane. 15 minute drive to the Spokane airport. The are 3 rooms available, bedroom one is next to bathroom and it has a full/double bed, a desk, desk chair, a closet and built in shelving and dresser plenty of storage for your clothing if needed if your here visiting on a prolonged stay, window, reading lamp, alarm clock, extra blankets, 2 towel and 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels. Bedroom 2 and 3 is in back hallway of my home and has the exact same amenities but contain a queen size beds. After 4 guests the price for extra guest is 12.50/ guest up to 2 as there is only 3 beds. you will have access to the Front door of my home upon your arrival and my greeting you and which point you will be given a key to the front and backdoor entrance. the keys are color coated for front door and back door. Sometimes hosts makes arrangements for guests to obtain keys from specified location if a situation occurs where host will be delayed from work and unable to meet guests on time. (I work in the healthcare field) I work in the healthcare profession during the week, typically an 8 hour day that has me leaving my home for work by 7:30 am and returning to home about 4:30-5:00pm. I do not come home for Lunch. I would always be available for any questions, concerns you may have by you contacting me on my cell ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), texting would be ok as well. Please don't hesitate to get a hold of me. If I don't answer the phone it means I am seeing patient's but feel free to leave me a voice mail and I would be able to get a hold of you in between seeing patients and during my lunch or break times. As mentioned I live in the Northwest part of Spokane it's about 5 miles from downtown Spokane. The cross streets are Assembly and Bemis, I live in a nice neighborhood I have lived here for 5 years and have not had any issues with the neighbors or any break ins or mischief. It is walking distance from the my house to the bus stop it would take you all of 2 min to walk to it. I am walking distance from the VA hospital and the Joe Albi Sports complex as well as walking distance or a 1 min drive to a local restaurant called Fieldhouse Pizza across located on the corner VA Hospital of assembly and wellesley, there is also a coffee stand there. I do have 2 cats, Jack he is 15 y/o and Fiona she is 3 y/o. they are both potty/litter trained in-door cats. The Litter box is located in the basement. there are cat doors. Typically when people meet my cat "Jack" for the first time they immediately say "Wow he is a big cat" never fear He is Black and looks like a Panther, he is non-discriminatory, if you pet him he will be your friend for life if you ignore him he will ignore you, Fiona is more on the shy side and she is a little more giddy but playful and not as trusting as Jack and she hangs out down stairs in the basement in the master Bed room where I sleep, Jack and Fiona are best friends, they play together Jack is like a big brother to Fiona. So if you are allergic to cats or don't like them then I would suggest you seek out another place to stay.
I live in a nice neighborhood but I still recommend that guests do not leave anything of value in car, truck, van this world we live in unfortunately yields persons that are desperate, and you never know better safe than sorry, All they would have to do is smash your window in. Common sense comes into play. I would hate to have a guest be robbed because of that. With that being said you are more than welcome to bring your stuff in and will find a place for it. Or in certain situations I have allowed people to park in the back to be on the safe side. Also I have allowed guests to put there mountain bikes in my garage along with other belongings it secure and safe as well. All you need to do is let me know and I will help you out.
  • Great neighborhood!!

    Katie2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Good value for the price. We were in town for a competition, and this property was near the location. We had 3 rooms, one bathroom with shower/tub, access to kitchen, living room and washer/dryer. We cooked every night and there were pots, pans, plates and utensils to use. The host was on the property, but stays in the basement. We only saw him briefly two times during our stay, and he was very accommodating to our needs. We would recommend this property. You cannot beat this price for 3 rooms. There is a cat on the property so if you're allergic I wouldn't recommend it. The cat did not bother us though.

  • David's house is lovely, his two cats are adorable and he's a wealth of great restaurant advice! :)

  • Dave's home is in a very quite neighborhood filled with older well maintained homes. It is a 10 to 15 minute drive from the Spokane arena. We had a group of five and his home worked perfectly for us. It was so nice having access to the kitchen too. The queen bed in the room we stayed in has a very tall frame. So know if you are under 5'4" you will be climbing into the bed. The home is older and the floors squeak. That aspect made me laugh because it brought back memories of my brothers and I trying to sneak out of the home we grew up in. We always got caught because of the floors. Funny memories. Dave was very personable and a great communicator. The water and snacks in the rooms was a nice touch too. Great value.

  • Aaron's house is in a quiet and beautiful suburb in Spokane Valley. Nature abounds and it felt very comforting to stay at during my travels. The house itself is well appointed and has a nice patio area in the back to enjoy. While I only saw Aaron and Dave once or twice they were both very nice and I would recommend this play to anyone looking to stay in the Spokane area.

Very friendly and quiet neighborhood with one guest driveway parking spot (marked). Six miles/16 min. to downtown Spokane or Gonzaga University. 3 1/2 miles/8 minutes to Whitworth University. Starbucks is down the hill about 2 miles, only 5 min. away. Sky Prairie Park is one mile away.
  • This place was awesome. I liked having my own space with my own bathroom and kitchen. Jim was so helpful and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I can't wait to stay there again. Thanks again Jim.

  • If I could rate this place 10 stars I would! Without a doubt one of the most comfy, stylish, and affordable places I’ve stayed through Airbnb. We didn’t get to meet Holly, but she was so thorough with explaining all the details. The parking spot is really clearly marked and the loft was super easy to find and get into with the keypad. Inside, the loft is sparkling clean and is so spacious and beautiful. It’s even better in person than in the pictures! You can tell that Holly takes pride in making her guests comfortable. She’s thought of everything decoration, cleaning, practical, and safety wise. The kitchen has everything you need, and there’s a little living area with a tv and couch between the kitchen and bed. There are lots of cute little practical touches around the loft as well as a washer and dryer. My husband and I had a fantastic stay here and if you’re needing to stay in Spokane area, do yourself a favor and stay at Holly’s Loft!

    Audrey2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is an awesome place to stay with all the amenities. On the outskirts of town yet close to everything. The king bed is super comfy. Will most likely return.

    Vikki2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This loft is fantastic! Super clean and outfitted with everything you need without a bunch of extra stuff taking up space. It was very well done - the hosts made a small space feel completely livable and not all claustrophobic. We are adding this space to our list of Spokane gems.

    Angela2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was absolutely cozy and welcoming. My boyfriend and I wish we could have stayed longer than a 1 night. The loft was our favorite part of the trip. There is so much detail put into the loft that it truely makes you feel at home. This was my first air bnb experience. Usually on trips I book hotels but the loft was a much better experience than a hotel. Overall, the loft was beautiful and I cant wait to return back. I will definitely be booking the loft for my next spokane visit.

    Veronica2018-03-22T00:00:00Z

Garden level apartment with 2 sets of French doors opening into the garden. We live in a mature neighborhood, close to downtown, with beautiful areas to walk and relax. Manito Park is on my street, 90 acres, with rose, lilac, formal and native plant gardens, plus a pond with ducks.
Garden level apartment, separate entrance, keyless entry with two sets of french doors opening out to the garden, there is also a window in the sitting room and another in the bathroom, so plenty of fresh air. 1 bedroom, bathroom, bistro kitchen, with a small fridge, toaster oven, an induction burner, microwave, French Press for coffee. There will be tea/coffee/condiments available, plus eggs, bread, cereals and milk. A comfortable sitting room with an extra day bed. TV with all cable channels, DVR, WiFi. with 2 leather sofas Central heating, A/C. The A/C is controlled in the main house but turned off at night as it's noisy. I have two fans if needed. In the Winter I have the temperature set at 70F, again controlled in the main house, in the apartment I have two extra heaters. My guests comfort is my utmost concern and I am available for any issues. Inside the hutch there are games and puzzles, on the bookshelves plenty of books to enjoy.
We are sandwiched between Manito Park and Cannon Park. Manito was founded in 1904, it has rose, lilac, formal, native and Japanese gardens, plus a conservatory on it's 78 acres. There is a pond with ducks and in the Fall migrating geese, a popular picnic spot. Cannon park is smaller, a beautiful setting, it also has a pond which is shallower than Manito's and was originally designed to be a skating pond. We are close to grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, and an ice cream shop.
  • Beautiful space in a great location. I would highly recommend Jane's space for anyone looking to have a private, well-equipped accommodation in Spokane. Jane also did me a huge favor of sending me a few clothing items I inadvertently left in a drawer! Thanks again!

    Dustin2016-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • This has been our favorite Airbnb in Spokane! Jane is a fabulous host, with a stocked fridge and candy dish to boot. The location is central; we were able to walk downtown easily, and to the great local restaurants and stores. The place itself is warm, cozy but not at all cramped, and beautifully done. Other reviewers have complained about her dogs, but they were not at all poorly behaved or loud. We would stay here again without reservation!

    Leslie2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for my daughter's graduation. Great location and nice neighborhood. Jane had everything one would need and more. I would definitely stay again.

The Pilgrim's couch is in the basement of a 1913 Craftsman home. A full-sized bathroom and mini-refrigerator are shared with a guest in the Franciscan Room. The host will provide a welcome platter, with treats, fruit, milk, juices, fresh towels, soap, bed linens, extra blankets, and heater. According to previous users, internet access is steady and strong. A full sized desk and swivel chair are available for a laptop or doing paperwork. Host provides choice of light or dark roast (coffee).
The catacombs area houses my Amazon book collection (nearly 600 titles) neatly arranged on bookshelves. The basement has been updated in the past year with a new bathroom and carpeting. Previous guests have used the couch on occasion and report that it is comfortable for people around 5'7". The upstairs area is listed in the AirBnB catalog as the 1913 Historic Craftsman Home and the other basement accommodation is called the Franciscan Cellar. This is an ideal space for the long distance traveler that needs a clean, safe, and comfortable place to rest.
This is a quiet neighborhood of single-family homes. Most date to the turn of the century. Guests can enjoy a delightful walk along tree-lined sidewalks. Fred Meyer and Grocery Outlet are minutes away on foot. Excellent dining options are available within minutes on the upper South Hill. Elaine has her favorites. Sheridan Elementary School is located three blocks west of the home; guests need to be mindful of children crossing and driving through school zones. A Fred Meyer store is located 6 blocks west of the home along with a Dutch Brothers and Wake-Up Call Coffee stands.
  • Although my trip got canceled Elaine was very understanding of the circumstances, and was very quick to respond.

    Daniel2019-02-10T00:00:00Z

  • I stayed on the pilgrim’s coach. It was perfect after a long day to lay your head and get a good night’s sleep. It is humble and cozy. This is a very peaceful home. Elaine is thoughtful and an exceptional host. She really does think of everything. From exact directions and reserved parking to instructions to access the home. There was a fresh fruit plate with an apple, banana, grapes and a sweet treat. She really is a wonderful lady, who makes excellent coffee!

    Virginia2019-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was as promised. Nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. The host generously offered to make me breakfast but I was on a tight schedule and needed to study. I would recommend staying here.

    Greg2019-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean bathroom. Great place to stay. Elaine made the guests delicious omelettes for breakfast.

    Michel2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine is a very nice person, very welcoming and very caring. She really make sure you have everything you need and that you are comfortable. I recommend her place.

    Sarah2018-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved my stay at Elaine’s place. I was very comfortable and the best part was her kindness and how much she went out of her way to make sure I enjoyed my stay there. She made me breakfast the first morning I was there and offered me coffee every morning that she was home. She will go above and beyond and is very passionate about hosting her guests. She will respect your need for privacy but will also be open to friendly chat if you should want to be social. Honestly her and I became friends and I really think this woman deserves 100 stars for how much she cares. You wont regret your stay here :)

This is our "cozy suite"! It is a more traditional style apartment located in the downstairs of our 1900s victorian historical house. This is lower South hill so it has easy access to I-90 in both directions. Downtown Spokane is a short 3 minute drive which includes River park, city center, Convention center and the Davenports. We know you will love it here!
There are stairs leading down to the cozy suite. We love our furry friends they can be in the mud room only, this is the entry into the suite area. There is a $50 extra cleaning fee for the dogs that shed. Thank you for understanding.
Located on the lower south hill, there is direct access to downtown Spokane, Driving South, there is Manito park, and a few grocery stores. This place has easy access to the airport via I90.
  • My husband and I loved it, it was super clean and comfortable. It exceeded our expectations. When we come back to Spokane, this will definitely be our first choice if it's available. While we didn't meet Leanne in person, she was an amazing host. I appreciated her fast responses.

  • Leanne's place will not disappoint! We used it for a college tours and a show at the Knitting Factory. Perfectly located and comfy.

  • The host canceled this reservation 65 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Awesome experience! Entrance was private. Suite was perfect! Leanne was friendly and responded very promptly to our questions. The place had everything as described. Great location. Sparkling clean. We highly recommend it :)

  • Stayed here for the weekend with my husband and two dogs. Leanne’s place was stylish, clean, and convenient! Loved the fenced in backyard for the dogs. Will definitely stay here again!

  • we really enjoyed our stay here. Leanne was quick to respond. we also left some items behind and she notified us right away.

    Alyssa2018-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem of a find! Leanne is a fabulous host! The suite is perfectly furnished, clean, and so comfortable! The bed and pillows were awesome. Whenever I'm Spokane this is the place I want to come back to! The value is incredible and easy access to downtown and i90 are deceiving - it's literally just blocks from the freeway entrance, but you'd never know it sitting at the patio table with a friendly squirrel and birds entertaining you! My grandson is convinced the squirrel waved with his tail! We will be back!

IMPORTANT: The downstairs of this house is used for storage. I come over on occasion to catch up on laundry and grab food/clothes from downstairs. Guests DO NOT have access to downstairs. Guests DO have total privacy; there are separate entrances and NO shared common spaces. Guests will have the entire upstairs with front door access which includes - living room/dining room/kitchen/2 bedrooms/bathroom. A message with the door code will be sent to you at 2:30pm on the day of arrival. Cheers!
Please DO NOT lie about the number of guests staying - you will receive a bad review from me if you do this. Thank you! This cozy Garland District home has been entirely remodeled in 2016. Beautiful hardwoods, new carpet, and vinyl windows decorate the interior. The living room features a fully automatic sectional couch that can sleep 2 (recommended for kids or guests under 6 feet tall). There are two bedrooms furnished with a queen bed in each and a closet in each with lots of hangers. The kitchen is brand new with stainless steel appliances, a Keurig coffeemaker, a Ninja blender, Rachel Ray cookware, custom cabinets, and granite countertops. The bathroom has a dual flush toilet and designer inspired backsplash in the shower/bathtub. Towels and toiletries provided. There is high speed wi-fi throughout the house, cable TV, a 55" LED TV with a Blu-ray player, and plenty of good DVD's - feel free to watch them! I do have central air conditioning that keeps the house more than cool on hot summer days. The house is equipped with a furnace that is simple to use and very efficient in keeping the house warm on a cold night. Off-street parking is provided on a paved driveway along the east side of the house. Or you can park on the street in front of the house (fits two mid-sized cars), whichever you prefer.
My house is about a 10-20 minute walk from a handful of great restaurants and unique shops in the Garland District of Spokane, including an amazing milkshake cafe called Mary Lou's Milk Bottle, who's been in business since 1933! The Northtown Mall is less than a mile away and has over 100 stores and restaurants to visit. There's also a Regal Cinemas movie theater with plush seating inside. Riverfront Park is also a short distance away. It features a brand new carousel, indoor mini golf, arcades, an IMAX theatre and gondolas that take you on a birds eye view of the Spokane River. Go check it out!
  • Bree's place is absolutely beautiful - renovated, well-equipped (HUGE sectional sofa, nice TV, excellent kitchen), and the perfect size for 3-4 people. She was very communicative and the place was spotless. It got a *little* noisy for a bit when the neighbors came home late and their dogs started barking, but I don't think that is a regular thing (and obviously not Bree's fault) - so bring earplugs or turn on a fan just in case. :) I would definitely book this place again!

    Erin2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Bree's home is just darling! Sparkling clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Bree is an outstanding host. Communications were timely and on-point. She allowed us to enjoy just the right amount of privacy. Our stay exceeded expectations. Highly recommend.

    Kristen2018-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Bree’s place was clean and good for a one night stay in passing through Spokane. The bedrooms are small but it was fine for us. The home is right next to a larger road but was quiet and allowed for easy access to downtown. We enjoyed a great dinner there at Durkin’s Liquor Bar and breakfast on the river at Central Food. Check-in and out is very easy and Bree is is very responsive. Thank you!

  • Chelsea was responsive and on point with my booking and check in. The place was clean and stocked when I arrived. The internet was stable and fast. The apartment was freshly remodeled. Very close to downtown. My only issue was the proximity of the freeway.

  • Abby’s home was in a great location and the room was very clean and cozy feeling. She and her husband were both friendly and responded quick to us. Very accommodating to our late arrival. Although, may not be the best place for kids to stay as well. I was not aware of other guests in a different room and their bed kept creaking and making inappropriate noises while my children heard them. The walls are thin. The guests were aware their were children present in the other room. Most likely won’t be staying here in the future but best fit for a single person.

Trails, cafes, parks, pubs, museums and grocery stores—all within 5 blocks. You couldn't be more central to urban and nature! This 1-bedroom unit is in a historic home in Browne's Addition. It's a half-block to one of Spokane's first parks. The back of the property slopes down to Latah Creek—a trail network that leads to the Spokane River and a local disc golf course. Across the park is a fun corner with a pub, pizza, and coffee shop. The living room has a futon couch for extra guests.
  • Cute place. Bigger than expected. Scott and Ericka are great and attentive hosts and respond quickly to messages.

    Angela2018-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect location. There are local restaurants nearby and public transit is a block away, across the street from a beautiful park. 5/5

    Erik2019-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • At first glace, the home appears older and is likely historic. The complex has three apartments located inside, two upstairs, and the airbnb is located downstairs by the laundry room. Once inside, I was filled with nostalgia and memories of my early college days. The decor and furniture in the living room give off a vintage vibe, the windows open up to beautiful views off the hillside, and there are thoughtful touches throughout the apartment that will leave you smiling. The bed is comfy and the couch was cozy enough to sleep on as well. The location is near to the downtown area so taking a Lyft is relatively cheap. In addition, this is a dog friendly property WHICH IS AMAZING, and there is a cute park down the street that was a good place to take a break and relax. Although many others have left reviews about the central heating being difficult to regulate, we found a space heater that can be set to a certain temperature and discovered when we shut the bedroom door, the heat was easy to regulate and kept the place warm and cozy.

    Kiki2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in a great location - Browne's Addition is fun to walk around and there's good eating and cultural places nearby. It's cute and funky, but a bit on the small side and works best if basic is your thing, and do plan to bring your own coffee/tea supplies and a few other kitchen needs. Can't beat the price, though! And the bed is super comfortable, to boot, so really in all a good place to hang your hat a few days.

    Melissa2019-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Apparently, the hosts had intended to block out the date we reserved, but the date was still available. Received several apparently automated responses, preparing us for arrival. We arrived and found that the apartment had not been cleaned since the last guest stay. Attempted to contact hosts, but no response (they were on a plane, apparently). We had to check into a hotel in the area for the evening, not what we were expecting at all. Please make sure that as hosts you verify all reservations.

    Sara2018-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really nice stay and the location is amazing. My wife and I enjoyed walking through the nearby park and strolling down the neighborhood streets with historic homes. The apartment is old and funky but in a good way. Our hosts were super accommodating. We were attending an early afternoon wedding nearby and really needed to drop our dog off early, before our unit was ready. Our host said no problem. We could drop the dog off and he could stay contained in his kennel. This worked out great and allowed us to enjoy the wedding without worrying about our little buddy. We very much recommend this stay!

    Russ2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our listing had to be altered twice due to hosts being overbooked, but they were accommodating and still had a place for us to stay.

A trendy, hip, modern studio apartment in the middle of the city. Nicely appointed with eclectic decor and cozy finishes to make you feel at home. A perfect spot for a vacation stay. Kitchen with full size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. This small but functional space is appointed with everything you will need to make your home away from home
Fun little place in the city. Walking distance to the theater, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
The fox theater, the knittting factory, restaurants, bars, shopping, riverfront Park.
  • The studio was exactly what we needed for a weekend trip to Spokane. It is decorated well with everything we needed to be comfortable. The place is in a great location downtown, and does not have free parking available, but for the price, it can't be beat. Also, with three levels of security, we felt very safe.

  • Great room, great location, great host response. It's right downtown, within walking distance to plenty of restaurants. Theres a little coffee/chocolate shop downstairs that's pretty convenient to have in the mornings. Parking isn't the greatest to find in the weekends, but it really wasn't horrible. Free parking on the streets at night and there's a pay lot right behind the unit's building. My only real complaint doesnt at all have to do with the host or the unit. The neighbor downstairs must have super sensitive hearing. When we walked around at night, the downstairs neighbor would bang on our floor quite a few times. I guess he/she isn't used to living with people upstairs. But that shouldn't deter anyone from staying here. It was a great place and we had a great time.

  • Awesome place, close to town, very easy and relaxing

    Eliot2019-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This three star review is based on several issues that are easily addressed and a couple that are less so. The Good: This spot is in the perfect location. It is close enough to the city that you can walk if so inclined and yet it sits back away from the noise and hustle of downtown Spokane. The apartment has ample parking, four spots in the side lot and plenty of additional spots on the street. The mountain lodge theme perfectly suits this dark cool basement space. There is a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and sufficient amount of room for the three of us to relax after a busy day out and about. Check-in was simple. The host sent us a code for entry into the building and room which was perfect as we arrived around midnight. The Bad: A lot of what missed the mark falls into the category of general maintenance. Several lightbulbs had burned out and the bathroom lights flickered like an Eastern European disco. Their novelty wore off quickly when members of our group were trying to apply makeup. Pipes and wires were exposed in several spots. The closet doors were off the track in one of the rooms and the track was peeling up in another. There were three thin and rough towels available for us upon check-in and we realized that the dryer was full of towels and sheets, but only after we purchased additional towels. The apartment’s unfortunate basement location meant that the wood floors directly above the bedrooms magnified any sound. The occupants’ 1:00 AM Riverdance rehearsals made sleeping impossible. Also the proximity to the interstate meant that the living room was constantly buzzing with the sound of the highway. There were several spiders that greeted us when we checked in. They seemed generally harmless but I didn’t pay enough attention in my college entomology classes to be sure. This meant that every night, as we lay awake listening to the bison rodeo happening above us, we also imagined that we were going to be carried off by an army of arachnids. Apparently previous guests were in dire need of AA batteries as all but one remote and both clocks were picked clean. This wasn’t a significant inconvenience, just evidence of a lack of general maintenance. As I’ve stated in many of my reviews, the most important elements of a stay for me are the shower and the bed. The bed here was, for lack of a better word, fine. A mattress pad would make it a bit more comfortable and there’s a dip in the middle that meant my wife kept rolling into me during the night. It’s okay. I like my wife. The shower, on the other hand, was not fine. The non-slip mat in the bottom had collected hair-souvenirs from previous guests which made the whole experience less than ideal. There was enough hot water for one shower which meant that we had to strategize a bit. Finally, the list of...
