The Riverside cabin is a truly hand-built home, made with love from the woodland that surrounds it.. A rustic Cornish getaway, only 15 minutes from Falmouth. With the sound of the wind in the leaves, the tinkling water and the crackling fire to relax you. We hope you will have a wonderfully memorable time.
The Cabin is set in a lovely woodland garden, with a firepit for outdoor cooking, swings and a stream to paddle in. It is situated next to a stream and woodland, near a quiet country road with great access to creeks, cliffs and beaches of Cornwall
The Cabin is just off a rural road between the thriving seaside/ harbour town of Falmouth, and the creeks and fishing villages of the Beautiful Helford River and the Lizard peninsula.
  • Great little place really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful craftsmanship.

  • Loved every minute of it. Super cute and cosy. Great location for exploring surrounding Cornish towns!

  • One of the most beautiful spaces I have been fortunate enough to spend time in, ever. The craftsmanship is exquisite and the love that ben has for wood is palpable. The communication was swift and straightforward. It is really a magical place. It is closer to a (v quiet) road than I expected but everything else (wood burner, swings, fairy lights etc) made up for it.

  • A magnificent experience! Very authentic and humble place with all the essentials and more. If you want something magical look no further! We loved every moment, specially the outside shower and waking up to birds singing and a steam flowing.

  • It was an absolutely amazing, well needed break away. It was peaceful and tranquil and we had a very relaxing time ( which is total opposite at home). The weather was crisp and cold but with some sun. I loved the swing and the fire pit and the outdoor shower was a great touch, something I never thought I would enjoy but I did... the photo album showing how it was built and all the other items Ben can build was a lovely touch. It was for my fiance 30th birthday. We have recommended to friends and we hope to stay again sometime soon. Thank you so much.

  • Highly recommended! Excellent stay!

  • Exquisite getaway in the wilds of Cornwall, this cabin is an absolute must stay. Complete with log burning stove, outdoor fire pit and composting loo, this is really one for the outdoorsy adventurer who still loves a bit of home comfort. Suitable for couples or families, and with lots to do in the area with some great local pubs, cafes and attractions. Short drive to Trebah gardens, helford passage and the seal sanctuary at gweek to name a few. A perfect weekend, we didn’t want to leave. Thank you Ben x

Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. No cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
If there is a one night vacancy showing on the calendar, between other bookings, please message to enquire about availability. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I don't charge a cleaning fee and we also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide throws and a hot water bottle to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen smart television with NETFLIX for our guests, DVD player with dvds, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, and portable clothes dryer. We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall and paperbacks to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a king size bed made up with a king size duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed and NETFLIX for our guests. Additionally, there is a hairdryer and bedside clock radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels (one bath and one hand towel per person) provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant Saltings or St Erth then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Travelling widely over the years has given us an insight into what travellers like and expect. We have, therefore, used this knowledge when setting up the apartment for our guests. However I am always very open to any suggestions to make your stay with us special and memorable. If you think we've forgotten something, therefore, please don't hesitate to let us know. We don't charge a cleaning fee either. So come and share our view with us. We guarantee you won't be disappointed. Please also see our other Airbnb listing for four people: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/19563456. This apartment is located on the opposite side of Bay Court's main hallway
We have travelled fairly extensively over the years and we both think that the beach here at Perranporth has got to be one of the very best beaches in the world. Come and experience it for yourself.
  • Beautiful location and the apartment was ideal. Would highly recommend.

  • Our stays at Beth's apartment was lovely, the view was amazing. The apartment was clean and tidy. Beth was welcoming and on the phone if needed. Will definitely return one day.

  • The views from the deck are spectacular. Even in wintery blustery weather it was a stunning place to be. Everything we needed had been thought of. It was great.

  • We stayed at Beth's place for one night for my boyfriends birthday, on arrival their were thoughtful touches of confetti and napkins saying happy birthday and even a card. The apartment was very clean and homely it felt like we had been there forever! Lovely area and lovely hosts, we plan to go back in the future probably in the summer for a few days as it was so nice this time.

    Jemma2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Easy communication, thoughtful touches such as flowers, birthday confetti and biscuits to enjoy. Well stocked cupboards, ideal for self catering. Within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and beach. Perhaps the best feature is the view. Endless hours could be lost gazing out to sea.

Secluded, self contained, 1 bedroom apartment in our home by the sea. Bedroom, bathroom (shower), living area with kitchen. Living room with TV (Netflix, iPlayer ...) sofa, dinning table & chairs, kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.). Bathroom with shower, sink & loo. Bedroom with king size bed, wardrobes. WiFi, USB ports, Bluetooth speaker. The flat has private parking by it's own entrance (key code access). Not suitable for babies or children and we are keeping it pet free.
It's a cliff top house, overlooking the sea and beach, on the edge of the village we love, Perranporth. To get the great sea views in the photos you do need to step outside the flat and go up the stairs to the top deck, that you can use anytime. From the flat you do have a limited narrow view of the sea down the side of the house (see current photo 13), but it's worth going up the outside stairs ! From the property, walk down to the beach and Perranporth village with plenty of shops, surf schools, restaurants, pubs and cafes. OR turn left onto the coastal path. St Agnes is a bit under a 90 minute cliff top walk. Dinner and a taxi back is a great evening. The house, including the flat was completed in late 2017. We tried to take on a lot of current "eco" build ideas in that the house is well insulated (triple glazed windows, sheeps wool in the walls), and has most of the internal air continually refreshed, not from vents and gaps, but a ventilation system that gives more filtered and dehumidified fresh air into the building than a traditional property. There is some more obvious tech in that the light switches give multiple scenes, the bathroom lights are PIR sensor triggered and the blinds are on remote controls.
Droskyn headland is at the south end of Perranporth beach, at the edge of the village.
  • Rory is a lovely host! The cabin is attached to his house, a very modern ecological beauty, that has his own entrance and is connected to the main balcony showing you one of the best view in Cornwall! He made us feel at home, leaving us fresh local butter in the fridge and delivering local milk every two days in lovely little glass milk bottles. You could really taste the Cornish milk. In the house there were already coffee, tea and shortbread to start our lovely stay. The house is fully equipped with modern and new facilities and he has everything settled if you need to go around Cornwall, maps, books and himself advising you on nice spots where to go! The house has everything a couple should need for a lovely staying in Cornwall! I highly recommend Rory! Thank you!!

  • A fantastic Airbnb space. Really well thought through layout which is very practical and clean. The space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Rory is a great host. He was easy to communicate with before we arrived and had provided some nice personal touches to the space. There are sea views from the lounge down the side of the main house and we wrapped up warm to enjoy local Rattler Cyder on the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, beach and town. We visited Perranporth when it was stormy with sunny spells and still found plenty to do locally! A really lovely place to visit.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little flat in perfect surroundings. The perfect get away. Rory was super helpful with tips and made us feel at home. We will 100% be back again. Thanks again!

  • Amazing location, only a few minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful space with everything you need for a get away. The shower is ten out of ten! Rory and Sarah both very welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

  • A very well equipped, elegantly designed comfortable modern flat. Immaculately presented with many additional features such, streaming TV (Netflix, iPlayer etc) Bluetooth speaker, an exceptional shower, high tech insulation & ventilation that keeps one cosy in winter. (we stayed in Feb 2020 during storm Dennis!) and pleasant in summer. Beautiful view from the shared balcony a short walk outside from the flat entrance door down the side of the house & up some stairs. We were sad to leave.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can not fault Rory’s place, it’s beautiful, clean, open, and comfortable! Great value for price, and Rory was so lovely and helpful to us! Location was great too, with amazing views.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. The place was really cool and clean, and the area was much better than we expected with plenty to do. The pub tips were brilliant and we enjoyed the food. When the storm hit we had an amazing night in with plenty of entertainment. We’ll definitely be back!

With aged oak and natural tones the barn welcomes your tired feet to a stress and city-free escape. On the route between Falmouth and the Helford River, it comfortably fits a couple with a child.
This south facing barn offers year-round accommodation with self catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and a child; with a large double bedroom and small single room. (The bedrooms are within the pitch of the roof and may not be comfortable for someone over 6'2".) The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has solid oak flooring and modern cooking facilities with more than adequate space for evenings in. The paneled bathroom is fitted with a shower, WC and basin, with a stone tiled floor and underfloor heating. The utility is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests will be provided with hand and bath towels along with a welcome pack including the essentials needed for self catering. We're willing to provide advice, so please don't hesitate to ask us recommendations for activities or restaurants. We live next to the barn and will be present most of the time.
Pennance Mill is a rural hamlet on the road between Falmouth and Mawnan Smith, with country walks and beaches nearby. It's only a short bus journey or taxi trip into Falmouth, which would cost no more than a few pounds.
  • Wonderful location, combining both quiet privacy with the convenience of a nearby beach and easy access to Falmouth and more. Very clean, suitably equipped for preparing, cooking and eating in with both adequate dining and relaxing space in the kitchen/diner/lounge. Comfy bed, roomy bathroom.....Even our fussy dog made himself comfortable.

  • Absolutely loved this cottage. Great location, walking distance to a lovely cove (with café, even in March). Other nice walks in the area. Rural but within easy reach of the amenities of Falmouth. Super clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again.

    Megan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is lovely, really close to a small cove just outside of Falmouth. The host's where more than accommodating. There were plenty of toys for our daughter to play with which really helped when not on the beach. The cottage has really well sized rooms and perfect for a small family. it has great transport links and close to coastal walks too. N&K

    Neil2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon’s place was perfect for our short work trip - being just down the road from where we needed to be. It was warm, welcoming and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Sharon and hosts were not intrusive at all and left us to it which was great. We’d certainly try and book again if we are coming to the area again.

  • We had a great mini family break at anika and gwith’s flat. The location is amazing and it was so lovely to be so close to the sea. The flat is small but perfectly formed, and has everything you need! A brilliant place to stay to explore Cornwall.

    Maddy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Although the house is a little smaller than it appears on the pictures, its abolute plus is the location directly at the wonderful Porthtowan beach. There is lots to do in the immediate surroundings: playing in sand, enjoying the waves, cliff walks, a café, super delicious ice-cream, a pub with great food, an organic store with local handicraft, a playground, ... , let alone all the games and interesting books provided at the flat! A perfect place to get away and relax!

We loved the personal touches, the milk in the fridge and Sue's note welcoming us. I would definitely recommend staying at Anika and Gwith's flat.

This stunning, three double-bedroom Finnish Lodge, nestles into the side of Carn Marth Hill, a World Heritage Site. From the huge triple glazed Cathedral windows there are far reaching views across the rural landscape of mid-Cornwall. Enjoy relaxing by the pool during the day and soaking in the hot tub by night!
The living room is flooded with light from the double height windows as is the mezzanine double bedroom. The wood burning stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the evenings or for winter visits. You will enjoy the hot tub looking out over the rural landscape. The property is well equipped for 6 people to enjoy a very comfortable stay.
We live on the side of Carn Marth Hill and you can walk directly from the house to the top of the hill where you will find a lovely little quarry lake where locals fish and occasionally swim. From here you can see both North and South coasts the walk on to explore more of the many footpaths and bridleways.
  • The Lodge is beaufitul, clean and has great views. The huge window fills the space with natural light and keeps it surprisingly warm! Caroline is very welcoming, we'd have felt very comfortable asking for help at any point if we'd needed it.

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to get away for a while. Caroline was lovely in assisting us from booking to checking out. I would certainly recommend this place and hopefully one day return for another stay.

    Muhammad2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s place felt really special, we arrived a little early due to the rain and Caroline accommodated this with no notice. The alpacas made the place really unique, lovely that they are in the field next door to the property. And the hot tub was a big hit with everyone. And let’s not forget scones fresh from the oven with jam and lashings of clotted cream. Really convenient to get to lots of places as well. We stayed with our friends who have two little girls and an infant and there was plenty of room, two bathrooms definitely helps! I should also mention the property was cosier than I thought it would be even without the fire on. Great for a wet February half term!

    Gillian2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s house was lovely and we felt very welcome. From the cream tea with homemade scones on arrival to the luxurious hot tub to the cute and funny alpacas in the back garden, we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

  • A lovely lodge. Super hot tub. Lovely cream tea and the most comfy beds. A super place to stay.

  • A beautiful lodge set in a picturesque location. Caroline is a wonderful host, answering questions extremely promptly pre-arrival , then offering her assistance on arrival with her knowledge of the local area. • Nicely located, tucked out of the way about so nice and peaceful but close enough to East South and West coasts. Didn't explore too much as weather was being very British but what we did see were some nice walks and welcoming pubs. Cosy to stay in thanks to the log burner too. A really nice way to escape for a days.

  • From arrival to departure a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Amazing cream tea supplied by the host enjoyed by the log burner whilst watching the llamas!

A very cosy converted studio. In the heart of Gwithian village, quiet country pub 100m away, 5 min walk over sand dunes to the beach, bar and bistro 10 minute walk through the nature reserve. One double bed in a bunk style (you need to like ladders!)
The studio is part of The Old Post Office in Gwithian, we don't sell stamps but you'll want to send a postcard from here... The double bed is only accessible by ladder - kind of a double adults bunk, it's like being a kid again. The headroom is restricted, but it's super cosy - especially with the wood burning fire roaring below. One dog only please.
The village is a 'proper' village, although we do get lots of visitors to the beach in the summer or walkers taking on the coast path, bird watchers in the right season, surfers / kite surfers / windsurfers when the conditions are right - the locals never leave, which says a lot about a place.
  • Would recommend and would stay again :) very clean and cosy space. Great film selection, easy check in and out.

  • Amazing hosts. Very small, but perfect for a couple looking for a quiet getaway. Kitchen and bathroom super stylish. And the log fire was amazing at night. There’s absolutely no phone signal in the house so it’s perfect for getting away, but less than half a mile away and you do get service. Would definitely recommend!!

Located on a private lane with private parking and access through a tiered garden, The Pound is a two bedroom (connected rooms) L-shaped flat. The front door leads into the lounge with bedrooms to the right. From the left a step takes you into the kitchen with the bathroom on the left.
‘The Pound’ is a quirky two bedroom (connecting rooms) log cabin flat. It also has a lounge, kitchen and bathroom and is accessed via a zig zag path leading up from a designated parking area. When we bought the house 6 years ago, The Pound was a dog grooming parlour, hence the name, which was in a very bad state. We renovated it for two of our sons to live in and a few years on, and both sons having moved out, it is now surplus to our requirements, so have decided to rent it out for you to stay in to enjoy the Cornish experience. We have tried to think of everything you would need during your stay to make it a home from home holiday. At the front of the property there is a storage box which houses recycling bags and where your bagged rubbish can be stored for collection on a Thursday evening. As we are close to the A30, which can be seen from the front of the property, there is traffic noise outside but not within the accommodation. There is a table and 4 chairs on the patio at the front of the property but as the property is surrounded by large trees there is only direct sunlight in the morning. To the left side of The Pound there is a small gate which gives access to our garden which you are more than welcome to use on sunnier days and meet our friendly Labrador, Jago. Located between Illogan, Portreath and Redruth there is easy access by road to each. Jenn's Diner is a family-run American style diner a one minute walk away. The Track is a five acre cycle facility based near Portreath and is less than 1 mile away. The Track is suitable for ALL types of mountain bikes, E-Bikes, BMX bikes and balance bikes and all ages and abilities. Kernow Hydro pool is also situated on this site. The Cornish mining town of Redruth town is a 10 minute walk away and there is easy access to all surrounding towns and villages via the public bus and train system. Redruth is home to a variety of exceptional pasty shops, individual shops, cafes, cinema/theatre and boasts the home of the famous William Murdoch, the first man to invent domestic gaslighting. His house can be visited and his invention is celebrated with Murdoch Day every year during mid June with an exciting programme of events including children’s dance and art procession, all day music and entertainment, a street market, old time fair exhibitions and a variety of live concerts and other events around the town. Redruth also hosts an annual Pasty & Mining Festival each September. The event is focussed around the town centre. The Friday is Mining Day, the Saturday is Pasty Day and the Sunday is Memorial & Fun Day. Activities on Pasty Day include cookery demonstrations and ‘make your own pasty’. Portreath is the closest beach, being only 3 miles away. With Porthtowan, Gwithian, Hayle, St Ives, St Agnes and Perranporth all a stones’ through away on the north Cornish coast. Each beach is unique boasting beautiful golden sand, cliffs and rocks with miles of coastal paths ready to be discovered with The Pound being a great location for you to relax after any expedition, however being close to the A30 there is traffic noise in the garden, but not inside the accommodation. Overlooking both Camborne and Redruth and reaching up to 738 feet above sea level is Carn Brea which is 1.8 miles away. The Carn can be seen from most high ground in Cornwall and the monument on top easily picked out. Conversely the view from the top of the Carn takes in both coasts and a good deal of the Camborne/Redruth conurbation. What is not apparent from any distance is the size of the monument, with it being a 90 foot high granite obelisk. The huge hexagonal column was erected in 1836 in memory of Francis Bassett, Lord de Dunstaville. The Bassetts where the most important mining family in the area and had lived in Tehidy for over 700 years (Tehidy is now the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall. Now managed as a Country Park, Tehidy has over 9 miles (14.5km) of paths and 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore, together with a café and a picnic area. Francis Bassett was however the first to be elevated to the nobility due to his efforts to raise an army of miners to defend the port of Plymouth from the combined Spanish and French fleets. Another legacy of the Bassett family is Carn Brea Castle. It is suggested that it started out as an Elizabethan hunting lodge, was a Victorian folly and is now a restaurant. Carn Brea also has associations with the legendary giants of Cornwall. It is said to be the home of the giant Bolster who when standing could put his other foot on top of St Agnes Beacon over 10 miles away! Cornwall's capital city Truro is 11 miles away. Truro Cathedral is located in the centre of this thriving Cornish city and wonderfully situated in the middle of the duchy of Cornwall. Designed by architect John Loughborough Pearson, it is one of only three cathedrals in the UK which has three spires. Completed in 1910 it is a magnificent example of gothic revival architecture. A must-see place to visit in Cornwall with free entry. The Bissoe Cycle Path is a coast to coast trail that links Portreath harbour 11 miles across the county to the port of Devoran on the South coast. In the 1800s, this trail was used as a mineral tramway for the copper mines around Redruth. The Eden Project (Cornish: Edenva) is a popular visitor attraction in Cornwall. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed china clay pit and is 33 miles away. The Minack is a unique theatre perched on the cliffs high above the Atlantic ocean where they hold musicals and operas every summer, together with music, comedy and story-telling events. The Minack is 27 miles away. St Michaels Mount is 17 miles away. St Michael's Mount is a tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall. The island is a civil parish and is linked to the town of Marazion by a man-made causeway of granite setts, passable between mid-tide and low water. It is managed by the National Trust, and the castle and chapel have been the home of the St Aubyn family since approximately 1650. St Ives is classed as the dazzling jewel in Cornwall’s crown. A picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town and listed as one of TripAdvisor’s top 10 European beaches. Here you can wander through the maze of narrow cobbled streets, independent shops and fisherman’s cottages and only 17 miles away.

Helen checked on me regularly to make sure everything was fine. On the day I travelled to Cornwall, there were train problems. Helen kept in touch with me and picked me up at the train station at 11pm! On my last day I was dropped at the train station. Great hosts, great place and highly recommended.

There is a pub a half a mile walk away and taxis are readily available, it is also a walking distance from Carn Brea castle which is a Jordanian restaurant; the castle itself can be traced back to 1379. • Secluded, bijou, everything one needs. Just don't go there if require WiFi/Internet etc. Just the space to really relax away from it all. Good walks all around & definitely no interference from host unless required. A real place to just unwind..

  • Definitely recommend Alisa’s place. Very quite and relaxing, very well equipped for its size. Would stay again, we loved it.

  • This is a very cute, simple little cottage in a pretty amazing area. You can walk all the way up Carn Brea from the doorstep :) Not too easy to find (it is not the Carnkie in Helston!) but Alisa was very helpful with directions and quick to respond. Very quiet and solitary - a great little escape!

    Nicola2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very sweet, warm and cosy nest. It provides all that is needed and it is in a charming location among ruins of the mining past of the area. The coast is at about 20-30 minutes driving and it is stunning, also featuring St Ives. We had a great week and also enjoyed the amazing hospitality and kindness of Ailsa always ready to help and support us.

  • Great place, highly recommended.

Our hut is set in a field on our working farm, it is off grid so heating comes from a tiny wood burner and soft lights set the scene inside and out. You have your own compost toilet. Cooking is on a bbq next to your hut. There is also a fire pit so you can toast your marshmallows while you star gaze. We are pet friendly so your favourite friends are welcome to stay with you here on the farm. Wake up and have a leisurely breakfast before deciding how to spent the rest of your day.
Our farm is set on the beautiful rugged north Cornwall coast. We are about a mile from the lovely beach and tiny fishing harbour of Portreath. If you love to walk or cycle then the old tram line runs close to our farm and takes you down the valley to the village. We are about 20 minutes drive from the small cathedral city of Truro with its wonderful selection of shops and restaurants. If you want to venture further afield then the coastal path offers fantastic views of the Atlantic ocean. Driving or public transport, (the bus stops is about a 15 minute walk away), can take you to the many great places we have to offer in this part of the country, from National Trust properties, the domes at Eden, cider farms and ice-cream farms, to quiet almost hidden coves and beaches just waiting to be found and explored. We have plenty of maps and information books that you are welcome to borrow during your stay.
  • Gorgeous little hut on a working farm; I really enjoyed being surrounded by this! The toilet is basic but was clean and near to the hut. Great views, comfy bed, great outside seating furniture and fire pit.

    Ashleigh2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • I loved it. If you like the outdoors and the simple life, you’ll love it to. Fire pit and little wood burner were great. And the cows were great company!

  • Really nice place to chill out , everything is there that you need , real nice place I would recommend to anyone !

  • I absolutely loved staying at Tracey’s place and would’ve stayed another night if it had been available. As another review mentioned, it is in effect just a shed but it’s been made to feel very homely and cosy and it has log burner so it doesn’t get cold. The location is nice and quiet although it is a working farm so you will hear the cows but that wasn’t a problem for me. Tracey offered lots of tips on where to visit and was very helpful. The toilet is in a separate hut and everywhere is very clean.

    Paula2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay here, Tracey was so friendly but at the same time respected our privacy. A wonderful glamping experience!

    Laura2018-09-11T00:00:00Z

    Shereen2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning view to wake up to.. It is a loveky little space to stay in.. The bed is very comfortable.. The compost toilet is extremely clean, for anyone that might not like the idea I can say it's very clean! The body is loveky warm and welcoming and have us a great recommendation for food that night.. Lovely place overall

My ground floor apartment has just been renovated consisting of a brand new kitchen with dishwasher/fridge/oven and hob, bathroom, new furniture and the apartment has been completely redecorated, so it has a fresh airy feel to the property, but very homely at the same time. You will have the entire apartment with your own front door.

  • We chose to stay with Sandra based on what we saw on the Airbnb site and we weren't disappointed. We were shown around by Sandra on arrival and we were impressed by the whole place, it was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. There was everything that we needed to make our stay just perfect and the location was ideal for visiting the local area as it is quite central. We will definitely be back and would encourage anyone wanting a short break in Cornwall to consider Sunnybank as you will be hard pressed to beat it. Thank you Sandra for a really good few days.

  • Excellent flat, just what we needed for a weekend away

    Hannah2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a 2 bedroom flat at the top of Redruth town centre - perfect for the shops but you are also not far from the beach by car. The rooms were airy and bright, and everything there that you would possibly need. The little touches like the bottle of local elderflower juice and the Cornish biscuits were a lovely little treat after a long drive to get to Cornwall. I really appreciated other little things like the washing up liquid and handwash that were left for us to use - so nice not having to go out and buy these things when you are away. And the pint of milk was great so we could have a cuppa when we arrived!!

    Julia2019-08-24T00:00:00Z

Redruth is a great town to stay in and is ideal location, with easy access to the A30. The apartment is next to the train station which is brilliant to get to St Ives without worrying about the car. We visited St Ives, Kynance Cove, Gunwalloe, Charlestown, Newquay, Penryn, Maenporth, St Agnes, Holywell Bay, Perranporth … Great Place. Would highly recommend! Thanks Lucy.

  • A beautiful cornish cottage that is cosy, warm and in a lovely quiet village setting. Tara is a warm happy to help kind of lady who makes you feel very welcome im her home. We arrived quite late (after 22:00) but it was not an issue for her at all. To top it off she has the softest, fluffiest cat I have ever met and I fell in love (I am a dog person), it was hard not to take him with us when we left

Redruth is a great place from which to explore all of Cornwall thanks to its central location, variety of transport links and quick access to the A30.
  • I booked Westwood House as a present for my boyfriends birthday and it was just perfect! Katie and Jon we’re both so friendly and very helpful. They gave us tips, where to find the best surfing spots and places to eat. Katie also allowed me to keep some fruit and milk in the fridge, so that we could have breckie in that extremely comfy bed. It was fab! We had a lovely weekend and the cat was so cute and cuddly. We would definitely recommend coming here!

  • Katie and Jon offered us a very lovely room in a quiet house very near the city center in a silent zone. Parking was very easy in the street in front of the house. Highly recommended as a base to explore the South Cornwall region.

Bian Havos (little summerhouse in Cornish) Our cosy 1 bedroom Log Cabin fits snugly into our garden offering lovely countryside views. Perfect for couples or two friends who want to enjoy a get away in West Cornwall. Conveniently located to either Falmouth on the South Coast, or coastal areas around Portreath and Perranporth on the North Coast, also Helston and Truro, all approximately 20 minutes drive away. Ideal for accessing and exploring the beauty of Cornwall.
With a comfy corner seating area which can be turned into a second double bed, flat screen SMART TV and free fibre broadband WiFi access. The kitchenette is stocked with all the essentials including induction hob and combination microwave oven, no need to bring salt, pepper, oil, or washing up liquid we supply all these little extras as part of our guest experience. The bedroom has a double bed and hanging space and a wet room with electric shower, we always have shower gel and shampoo available. We have kitted out the cabin with as many items to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The cabin is insulated and has heaters to ensure our guests stay warm during their stay. The cabin has a dedicated outside decking terrace area with seating and countryside views. We include a Welcome Pack with initial essentials such as Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk and some homemade baking to enjoy.
Situated in Lanner on the edge of Carn Marth with many lovely walks on the mining trails and old tram lines. Walking to the top of Carn Marth on clear days you can see stunning views from coast to coast. In the summer there are sometimes events at the Carn Marth Amphitheatre. Close by is Gwennap Pit which is well worth a visit. In the village is 2 local convenient shops, a bakery at the end of our lane, a local pub and a good pub for food a few minutes drive away and a Fish & Chip shop which we would highly recommend!
  • It is a small wooden "garden shed" at the bottom of the garden, it is very charming, the view is nice and full. Parking space included. Reads very well. The word "cozy" is well chosen, it's very small: shower and toilet combined in less than 2 m², well-equipped kitchen in very little space, and you have to eat on the sofa on small individual tables. We stayed there for 5 nights and that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay at all. The set is quite successful! I recommend.

  • Amazing cabin for a quiet break!

    Shannon2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location! Perfect spot to explore Cornwall, we drove 15minutes to Porthtowan for a gorgeous beach and dinner date at The Unicorn (and the Eco-Collective next door has yummy vegan treats too) We also drove to Land’s End and Lizard for day trips. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need. Shelley and Roger are incredible and went above and beyond to help us. The home touches are lovely as well as the scones! We cannot wait to visit in the summer. Thanks so much for a lovely winter getaway :-)

    Laura2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at Shelley’s lovely cabin. We enjoyed our stay so much that it was the first airB&B that we thought of when we knew we would be heading to the area again. The cabin is cozy and warm, sparkling clean and had everything we needed and more (including a few yummy home-baked extras!)

    Jess2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful warm cosy compact cabin with great views night and day! Everything you could possibly need to stay in Cornwall for a fraction of the cost elsewhere! Would highly recommend staying here! I will definitely be back next year!

    Sarah2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful little cabin with a gorgeous view! Lovely places to walk about in the beautiful Cornwall nature. Shelley is a lovely host and was thoughtful enough to get me a gluten free alternative to her usual greeting treats.

    Luke2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cosy cabin is perfectly situated, with stunning beaches on both the north and south coast a quick car journey away - but on nights like Saturday where the wind and the rain is lashing outside, all we did was brave it to the fish and chip shop down the road and spent the evening playing cards, perfectly content in this beautifully laid out little hut. It had everything we needed in the compact kitchenette, a very comfortable bed and some delicious baked goods to top it all off. Shelley and Roger are wonderfully friendly hosts with a perfect balance of good communication and a respect for privacy. I really hope to go back soon!

  • Perfect for 2 of us as an overnight stay for a function at nearby hotel. Central heating installed so warm, cosy and comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen and separate toilet to shower which is helpful. Great location with Tesco opposite. Far enough from main house to feel like your own holiday home. Just watch out for the drive, it is very narrow on a bend if you have a big car it could be difficult!

    Kim2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, Very comfortable, would stay here again

    Robert2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place! We only needed to stay for one night, will definitely stay again!

    Amanda2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a stopover. For us on our bike tour it was really convenient having Tesco opposite for supplies. There is some road noise but it did not disturb us at all. For two of us it was very spacious, I think if 5 stayed it would be rather cramped. Definitely room for a child though. It has a little garden with fruit trees, and it is private and not overlooked. Well equipped kitchen, large shower, plenty of hot water and central heating. We didn't meet Tracey but the communication was excellent. Would recommend.

    Jenny2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay.Lovely hostess.Short walk to town about ten minutes. The eggs, bread, butter &milk were a nice touch as was the shampoo &shower gel.Only downside was the road which was a little noisy.

Portreath is a perfect retreat all year round. Self catering holidays near Portreath offer beautiful coastal walks along the spectacular cliffs towards St Ives Bay passingDeadman's Cove, Ralph's Cupboard and Hell's Mouth, all bearing testament to tales of shipwrecks and smuggling. Portreath Located just 5 miles North of Reduth, Portreath (meaning sandy cove) is a great place to explore the stunning scenery of the North Cornwall coastline. This part of Cornwall is renowned for its beautiful walks, and Portreath is no different. Walk east to Porthtowan or West to Basset’s Cove; either way you’ll be treated to gorgeous views.  With excellent road links, you can easily reach Truro, Newquay, St Ives, Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Holiday cottages in Portreath make a great base from which to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Portreath Beach If you fancy staying put, a trip to the beach offers a great family day out. Portreath beach is lifeguarded during the summer and as such is popular with families. It’s also ideal for surfing, and is a popular surf spot with the locals. There are surf shops, beach shops, café’s and toilets on the beach front with other facilities including 3 pubs in the village itself. Dog’s are welcome on the beach in the off-season. Just off the beach at Portreath is the tiny island of Gull Rock. Home to a variety of bird species this is a good spot for birdwatchers if you can get a close enough view! Kayakers can experience adventurous to the east and west and to offshore islands where you can experience the views of the coastline from a different perspective, visit secluded beaches and explore caves in the cliff face.  West Cornwall Adventures are on hand to show you the ropes at kayaking, surfing and coasteering for anyone who fancies a go.  With a stream running into the sea, and a distinctive harbour, Portreath is a beautiful place to enjoy a holiday. Portreath’s first harbour was built in 1713 by mining adventurers needing a port for their minerals. The remnants of the second harbour that made Portreath a coastal port in 1760 still exist today.  Cycling If you haven’t brought your bike with you, cycle hire is available on the road to nearby Porthtowan, which means you’ve got no excuse not to take advantage of the cycling trails in the area. From The Bear house to Portreath, you can cycle The Mining Trail path that follows the old tram lines across the county from coast to coast, finishing up at Devoran resting on Restronguet Creek just a few miles from Truro Cathedral. • I have recently spent three nights at Christine's place and it was a wonderful experience. Firstly, the space is just as described and shown in pictures; it is spotlessly clean and well thought out with many homey touches. The space consisted of: a large living/kitchen area, a spacious bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a powerful shower. Everything we needed for a few nights away. Christine herself was a lovely host; she was very quick to respond to messages and was there to assist us when we arrived, along with her two beautiful little Jack Russell's! During our stay any messages were quickly answered. Breakfast was provided which was a nice touch, and there was a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster for our use. Also provided were 'things to do' leaflets which was useful in helping us plan our holiday. The house itself was initially quite difficult to find (solely due to the nature of Cornish country roads!) but Christine was on hand to give us directions, which was really helpful! The house is ideal for exploring the South of Cornwall as it is close to the A30, Redruth and other areas (the beach is only a five minute drive away!). I would recommend it to anyone wanting a home away from home experience in the beautiful Cornish countryside.

  • Jon's place was perfect for myself & my 12yr old daughter. We were visiting family in the local area so the location was ideal. With Tesco & Aldi pretty much on the doorstep, the local town minutes away & of course the beaches only a short drive, the area has lots to offer. The bungalow was sparkling clean & is provided with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were grateful of the tea/coffee, milk & cookies waiting for us after a long journey. The beds are super comfy & it was just like staying at a friend's house. Check in was simple & communication was superb, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended, we didn't want to leave!

  • Spacious, clean and well equipped caravan in a fantastic peaceful rural location. Our hosts (Denzel and Monika) were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Kate showed us how everything worked, and her hand -illustrated notes on local places to visit were much appreciated and used by us. The caravan had everything we needed to self cater, amd the welcome cream tea was a lovely touch. The little garden area with seating was lovely. The paddock area had friendly horses and goats, and we were able to feed them from our garden. By the end of our stay we felt that we'd made friends- both human and animal! Highly recommended.

The location is close to everything you’d need in terms of beaches, local towns, tourist attractions and even an organic farm shop, which is literally down the road. The caravan was very clean and well equipped and the hosts were always on hand if we needed anything, even offering to do our laundry for us. We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely book again! Thank you so much for making our stay so lovely. :)

We offer a private double room in a family home located in a small village in west Cornwall. We are a 10 minute drive to Godrevy beach and a good base to explore the delights of west Cornwall from. The room is bright and airy in the mornings and freshly decorated in calm tones. The shared bathroom is also newly renovated with a twin ended bath with drencher shower over and underfloor heating. As we have a young toddler we cant guarantee a silent night, but he is a real character.
Our property is a modern semi detached family home with gas central heating and double glazing. Since purchasing the house we have been busy redecorating through out. So far the bedrooms and bathroom are now finished and we are now working on the sitting room and kitchen. Due to this we can't offer the sitting room and kitchen for use.
We live in a small village in West Cornwall. There is a small village shop and we are on a bus route. Although we would highly recommend only booking if you have your own car. Reawla is centrally located between Hayle, Camborne, Helston and Penzance. We would recommend using Hayle for amenities. Within a 10 minute drive is Hayle beach and Godreavy with three miles of golden sands running between the two beaches. There are plenty of lovely places to eat and drink. Especially in St Ives.
  • Great place to stay. Jo provided us everything we needed including great local tips. Excellent location to base yourself to explore Cornwall. Highly recommended!
