Malpas is in the civil Parish of St Clement and is a popular centre for boating with navigable waterways to Truro, Falmouth and the Roseland peninsula via the seasonal Enterprise boats which dock at the jetty at the bottom of the hill. Malpas lies within the Cornwall area of outstanding natural beauty which has the same protection as a National Park. There is a myth that Iseult, from the Arthurian legend of Tristan and Iseult, used Malpas as a crossing point. The Cathedral city of Truro in the heart of Cornwall is only about a 2 mile drive away and has a wide selection of good shopping including a Waitrose, Tescos, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer and many other high street outlets. There is also a cinema and a great selection of restaurants, pubs & cafes. Dominated by the stunning cathedral, it is one of the south west's most attractive cities. Lemon Quay plays host to many events throughout the year including the Cornwall Food & Drink Festival in the Autumn and the famous Truro Fatstock Show just before Christmas. Regular farmers markets occur every Wednesdays & Saturday and there are also arts & craft markets on Saturdays. It really is worth a wander through the back streets and alleys to find some fabulous little boutiques. The resort of Newquay is about 16 miles to the north with its spectacular surf beaches at Fistral & Watergate Bay. Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" restaurant is located here. Padstow, with its fine selection of restaurants influenced by Rick Stein is just over 20 miles, these include Nathan Outlaws Enodoc Hotel in Rock and Paul Ainsworths No 6 in Padstow, both of which have been awarded a Michelin Star. The yachting centres of Mylor, Falmouth & St Mawes are all within easy reach of the cottage. There is a watersports centre at nearby Loe Beach where you can hire kayaks, paddle boards and motorboats or brush up on your sailing skills with some lessons. The nearby Roseland Area of Outstanding Beauty with its superb coastal walks is also a short drive away via the King Harry Ferry.
  • Exceptional! Despite having pretty awful weather, we had a lovely week here. Heron's Catch is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. With wonderful views over the Truro River, the house is in a lovely Village setting, but still close enough to Truro Town for shopping and onward travel to explore Cornwall.

  • House with amazing view and very cozy! Pretty sure to come back once! Great communication with Sarah.

  • Heron’s Catch is a little gem in a beautiful location. We had a lovely stay. The house is very well presented and has been beautifully converted to provide a light and airy space with fantastic and beautiful views. If only we could have made the most of the garden. Perhaps a bit difficult in October! Even when it was pouring outside we had a cosy stay simply enjoying watching the changing river. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks again.

  • Really enjoyable break. House had great view from lounge and deck and is very well furnished and kitted out. The pub was very handy and the ferry a good way to get around for walks. Many thanks

  • Beautiful, comfortable accommodation with excellent views. Parking can be a problem particularly between 4pm and 6pm on a sunny evening.

  • A wonderful place! The hosts have thought of everything and the spot is beautiful, high recommended.

  • Everything was fantastic, and as described in the listing. Sarah made sure all needs were catered for, including the thoughtful dog friendly touches. The cottage was immaculate and ideally situated. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials, and the views were spectacular. There were binoculars for us to gaze across the river at herons nesting. It was nice to have such a great pub practically on our door step, and there were some lovely walks just outside as well. All in all, we couldn't ask for anything more idyllic. Thank you for everything

    Sharon2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is ideal accommodation in a great location for exploring both North and South Cornwall. All the household amenities you would require were provided which made for a relaxing holiday. Would thoroughly recommend for a holiday break.

We live in a typical cosy and charming small cornish village called Mitchell, very centrally located and near the A30. (You will not have any problems with road noise though in the accommodation). There is a brand new kids play field, ping pong tables and a football field in the village. Our studio is a 2 min walk from the Plume of Feathers, a highly rated pub/restaurant. The Plume of feathers is a dog and kids friendly place. Every Tuesday (except during the summer months) they organise a pub quiz. There is also a nice beer garden to enjoy a drink when the sun is out. There is a 'pick your own' fruit farm (strawberries, raspberries,...) at one end of the village (great fun for the kids) and a rose farm at the other end. We are only an 8 min drive away from the famous wedding venue Nancarrow farm. Every saturday there is a big car boot sale in the village. Mitchell is ideally located to explore cornwall. There is some much to see in Cornwall so our central location is absolutely perfect to visit the east, west, north and south of cornwall. We are right in the middle between Newquay and Truro.
  • Great stay for the second time, this time around with our little baby. Was looking forward to coming back to some where we had been before, in a great spot. Highly recommend!

  • I booked a last minute weekend at Julie's place after having broken my ankles 3 months ago. Still on a crutch with limited mobility this was a fantastic place for me to come with my little boy and start to safely hobble around in nature. The gardens/farm are stunning and very easy to walk around, there is a magical essence to the whole place that you really have to go there to experience. The chalet was extremely well equipped with cute cottage features, again, for anyone with mobility issues it is all on one level and the bathroom has grab rails by the toilet and in the shower. Everything was lovely and clean and there was a kind touch of tea, coffee, sugar and milk, washing up liquid, salt and pepper etc. The beds were comfortable and the wall heaters in each room worked quickly later in the evening to have the place cosy and warm. Great advantage to have a washing machine and available dryer as if we were staying longer I would use. The shower was great got nice and hot with no temperature changes. Towels and bath mats and bedding were provided and the sofa bed was easy to pull out (unlike some). Plenty of parking space and close to the bnb to nip across to ask Julie if you have any queries. I was especially lucky to have found Julie as our host this weekend as being a mum with mobility problems on my own with an 8 year old son with autism, she was very kind and gave us a lift to the village and up to the church, then also to the Hawkins arms for Sunday dinner. This is a really lovely little place to stay for everyone and if you have younger children like me I'm sure the fairies may even come out to play in the gardens 😉 Already rebooked!

  • We had a great stay. The place is very peaceful, very comfortable, with beautiful surroundings. the place is about 20 minutes by car from Newquay and 40 minutes ish to St Ives. We would definitely stay there again... My son really enjoyed looking at the hens and cats.

    Cecilia2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in this cosy chalet. Everything was as described. The setting is idyllic. We were moving our eldest daughter into her student flat in Penryn, so weren’t able to spend much time there, but it was lovely to return in the evenings. Julie and Tim are very welcoming and we would love to return in the future.

  • We spent wonderful 6 days in Three Acres Farm in Truro. The cottage is small, but you can find there everything what you need to enjoy your holidays. Julie is a great host, very helpful and kind. It's ca. 20 min. drive to Truro centre, which is really a nice town.

Treetops Penthouse is part of the historic 19th century mansion built for the Archdeacon of Cornwall. Take it easy on one of the two secluded private balconies with unforgettable rural/garden views, eat by the water lily pool with resident dragonflies, watch the miniature sheep, or explore the beautiful local countryside and the Falmouth Arms which is the village pub. The apartment is high up - hence Treetops - which gives you the best views in the village.
Treetops provides an idyllic and excellent central location in the very heart of Cornwall, with good access to both its North and South coastlines with fantastic beaches and walking country, world famous gardens and historic monuments. Surfing beaches, coves, inlets and delightful fishing villages, pubs and restaurants are in easy striking distance by car.
Ladock is a little village in an area of outstanding rural beauty located approximately six miles (9.5 km) north-east of Truro. Historically, Ladock was two small settlements; Bissick by the river and Ladock on the hill. Our village can be well appreciated from the property's balconies and windows. There is a post office and village store, a pretty church, a very active village hall with regular entertainments and other events and a good pub. There are beautiful walks in Ladock Woods.
  • Lovely property, recommended

  • Charming old English manor house at which it was a neat expertise stay. Roger was most friendly and introduced me to his adorable dogs. His miniature sheep and the sheep grazing on the nearby hillside made for a truly pastoral setting...the quintessential England experience!

Well presented cottage with traditional features in the heart of the village of Probus. The Cottage, No 1 Fore Street, is perfect for exploring Cornwall. If you prefer to stay in and relax, the decked garden is a sun trap.
Lots of space for you to enjoy whether it's in the lounge watching the TV or in the dining room having a coffee at the table (range cooker is decorative only). The garden is a lovely space to relax and has a gas barbecue for a sunny day. The bedrooms are light and airy with nice furnishings, the bathroom is spacious and functional and the kitchen provides what you need for your stay. The Cottage has some nice traditional features and little quirks in layout you would expect from an old place.
  • Great place, we all loved the character this traditional cottage had to offer, along with being able to park at the front door. The cottage is located close to a local shop and nice places to eat out (or take away), easy to find, and slept 4 people comfortably. Gary was great with our booking, very easy to get in touch with, and we're very appreciative of his willingness to help us out on our short notice booking.

The north and south coast beaches are only 15 minutes away and coastal walks just breathtaking. I have a very friendly dog called Scamp and two cats Agatha and Poirot who don’t normally live in the house., however do like to join Scamp on his evening walk. I look forward to meeting you!

The village of Tregony in Cornwall is often referrred to as the 'gateway to the Roseland'. The exceptionally wide Fore Street is a relic from the days when this was a busy port and market town with considerable traffic. The port has long since silted up due in part to china clay workings up stream, but Tregony has retained its charm. Tregony has an unusual clock tower on Fore Street and the seventeenth century almshouses which boast an unusual wooden gallery. The site of a twelfth century Norman castle known as ‘Treg-ney' from which the village got its name is situated on Tregony Hill. The woods and riverside in the area between here and Ruan Lanihorne are fantastic to explore. The river is a firm favourite with ornithologists the magical Lamorran Woods are alive with bluebells in the spring. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and the city of Truro are only a short drive away from Tregony.
  • A lovely, small place in an ideal location. Perfect to return too after a day of exploring the local attractions. Would certainly recommend and return!

  • A comfortable cosy cottage located in a peaceful spot. The people who lived around were friendly and welcoming. A wonderful location to explore this part of the world. A hop and a skip from secluded coves and wide sandy beaches. We had a lovely holiday, thank you. Julie and Mick

  • We loved this little cottage in a row of terraced houses. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner left us a welcome bottle of wine and there were toiletries available - both much appreciated. We loved the personal touches that made this property so homely. Thank you.

  • This cottage has been well modernised while still leaving a few quirks and bits of character. It's warm and comfortable, and well equipped with everything needed to spend some time there. Tregony is a good base in that part of Cornwall, with access reasonable even further down to Lands End. The village itself doesn't have much in the way of shops, but farm shops and bakers can be found close by.

    Richard2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very cosy and well equipped. The kitchen is easily big enough to cook meals etc. The washing machine and tumble drier were also nice touches. Very comfortable location to drive around Cornwall from. Would definitely stay here again!

  • We are a family of 4 plus our little chihuahua and we had the most wonderful stay at this cottage. Chris provided really clear directions and his communications were prompt and very friendly and welcoming. We soon wolfed down the freshly baked scones on arrival after our 6 hour journey! They were delicious. The cottage was warm, full of character and very well equipped - it's the little things like coffee/tea, dishwasher tablets etc. that make such a difference as we've been to other air bnb's that don't have these basic essentials. Everything was spotlessly clean. There is a handy shop in Probus and fish n chips etc. so it was the ideal base for us to explore Cornwall. We would love to come back next year. Thanks Chris!

  • A lovely cottage in a brilliant location to explore Cornwall! We had a great a stay at 2 The Court and didn’t want for anything - from the amazing scones on arrival to all the facilities and finishing touches. A cosy cottage, with colourful gardens, stylish decor and a real ‘home-from-home’ feel. Chris was a great host with warm hospitality.

  • If you are wanting a quality cottage in a quiet location then stay at 2 The Court. Immaculate in decor, a wonderful garden looked after by the most kind and thoughtful host, Chris. We had a lovely week where eating out became less frequent than in the past as it was so pleasurable to dine at home. Every need is provided from a top quality kitchen and appliances through to uber comfortable beds. Probus is a lovely village close to Truro and has all village shops and restaurants needed if you don't want to cook. Full star rating we gave is thoroughly deserved and we WILL be staying again.

    David2019-08-17T00:00:00Z

Grace’s conservatory/sun room and garden overlook the churchyard and famous tower of the 15th Century St Probus and St Grace Church. As a self catering cottage, a minute’s walk will take you to the heart of the village which boasts the fabulous Trudgian Farm Shop specialising in fresh, local meat and vegetable produce (the frozen, uncooked, authentic Cornish Pasties are a must - they just need to be popped in the oven!) as well as Spar supermarket (including gluten free range and impressive wine selection). Also within a minute’s walk is the Hawkins Arms Coaching Inn, the Chinese Lantern Takeaway And Probus Fish And Chip Shop. http://trudgianfarm.co.uk www.thehawkinsprobus.co.uk Probus is ideally situated for exploring Cornwall; less than 30 minutes will take you to the city of Truro, St Austell and the Eden Project, Charlestown and Mevagissey, the stunningly beautiful Roseland Peninsular and even Newquay and local beaches. For over 25 years this welcoming cottage was my extraordinary parent’s home and after the restoration works I decided to keep the antiques and decor more or less intact and share the experience of staying in a place that was always filled with joy, love, friendship and laughter. I hope you will have a wonderful time in your holiday at Grace’s. Nick will be in contact with you before arrival to discuss any further requirements you may need and to welcome you to Grace Cottage.

  • Grace cottage is an absolutely beautiful place to stay, it was good for the soul to stay in such a well loved home with personal touches everywhere, nick was extremely welcoming and it was evident that he wanted his guests to enjoy the cottage as much as he and his family have, fresh flowers, cream tea were just the icing on the cake, cant recommend enough

    Claire2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Grace cottage has to be the cosiest and most welcoming air BnB home I have stayed in. So many thoughtful touches, such as flowers in every room, the fire set up,ready to be lit, bird feeders full. It is like visiting a relative's house, where you feel welcomed. Nick was really helpful and replied immediately to all communication. The position of the cottage is perfect for exploring many parts of Cornwall. The fish and chip shop in the village is really good! We will definitely be back...next time we hope for more than two nights.

    Laura2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing little cottage with such an amazing personality, cream tea upon arrival was great. Beds were extremely comfortable and the whole atmosphere at night was so cosy and warm. Will definitely be staying again, thank you so much!

    Steven2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Imagine... waking up in the morning in the most comfy bed with toile de jouy sheets. Outside, it's cold and misty, the sun is coming, slowly. You walk down the stairs, make a cup of tea and sit in the veranda to enjoy some Cornish scones, cream and jam. You stay there, facing the beautiful garden asleep for winter and the church. The singing of dozen of birds mingle with classical music. It's 1st January, and so the new year begin. It's hard to describe the experience I had in Grace Cottage. Unique, dreamy, perfect. The cottage is a 300 years old, welcoming, warm, quirky, full of character, British lady. Nick, son of the house, has kept everything as it has always been but made it very modern and so well equipped. So the cottage feel like a museum but at the same time it feels alive, like you're at your grandma's. That is also thanks to all the attentions left by Nick, such has scones, jam, cream, tea... As it was Christmas time, he add hundreds of lights, decorations, a massive fragrant Christmas tree in the veranda... I felt at home, somehow. And I only have one more dream now : to come back.

  • This cottage is delightful along with its host. Lovely welcome to a fabulous cottage. So central to everything Cornwall has to offer. Situated in the village of Probus with its shop, chippy and pub within a stones throw. I can't express how much we enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely recomend to friends and family in fact anyone who wants to stay in Cornwall.

    Russell2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nick was a fantastic host, really quick with responses and met us there with with afternoon tea :). The place was really cosy, the beds were really comfy and had a great relaxed vibe to it. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area :)

    Robert2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Grace Cottage is simultaneously quirky and practical with antiques everywhere you look. Nick is a very attentive host, meeting us at the cottage and made sure we had all we wanted including a cream tea on arrival. It would be difficult to think of something that is not provided from milk and eggs to dishwasher tablets and tea bags. Everthing is spotlessly clean, which with all the items on display must be a labour of love. Probus is quiet but has a pub, shop, fish and chip shop as well as a Chinese takeaway; a good base to explore the area.

    David2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The best place I’ve ever found on AirBnB - a real home with a thousand quirky and delightful touches. It was really hard to tear ourselves away from the gorgeous sun room to tour around - and the books!! Nick was a great host - prompt, courteous, and (judging by the cream tea he left for us) a great baker too. Can’ recommend this place highly enough.

The D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Point and Smugglers Cottage are only a short drive from Philleigh. There are shops, restaurants and local facilities in Portscatho & St Mawes.
  • Teri is a super kind and generous hostess (we never ended up meeting Andrew). Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to extend our stay from 2-3 weeks and Teri was very flexible and understanding. Very spacious comfortable flat, with all the 'mod cons', beautiful peaceful location, and great pub lunches/dinners very nearby! (Can highly recommend The Roseland Inn and the Plume of Feathers in Portscatho, the latter being open all day.)

  • Ardevora Mill Cottages are a little piece of paradise in a stunningly beautiful area, a home away from home. Our one bedroom Vean cottage was just perfect - spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented. It had everything we could possibly have wanted and more. There was even a delicious afternoon tea of scones, jam and clotted cream when we arrived. We stayed for 6 days but wish we stayed longer.

A Wooden studio chalet right on the edge of the Tresillian river. Inside there is a small kitchenette area allowing the freedom to cook, a table and chairs by the window enabling eating with a view, a bathroom with a shower and a large kingsize bed with a memory foam mattress for your comfort. Upstairs there is an extra lounge area with TV. Outside is your own private courtyard with heated seating area undercover right by the river. There are additional lounging seats to enjoy our summers.
Your space is right beside the river therefore you are welcome to bring your paddle boards or kayaks with you and enjoy the river. Please be aware the river is tidal and not in all day. We also have a covered area suitable for storing bikes during your stay, this is open and not lockable. You can fish in the river as long as you hold a UK river licence. This can be purchased at the post office right next door. Please note these activities are not covered as part of your stay and will be undertaken entirely with your own equipment and at your own risk. We do not provide activities and are not covered for them by insurance.
We are two and a half miles from Truro city centre but once you come into our driveway it can feel as if you are miles from the city. Opposite the rive, it is treelined and there is lots of wildlife to see, from birds to deer. You can Kayak on the river as long as you are happy to work with the tide as the river is tidal. We are on the main road through Tresillian next to the petrol station, this also has a shop and post office to offer services close by. There is a village pub within walking distance and a pasty shop for an easy lunch. Waitrose is a mile up the road to enable more food shopping and there is a good selection of main stream and individual shops in Truro. There is a bus stop approximately 200 yards from the property on a main bus route which serves all of Cornwall and beyond. There is a train station in Truro and an airport 16 miles away near Newquay.
  • Really lovely chalet by the river that has everything you need. The photos don’t do the whole space justice. There is a comfortable TV seating area upstairs that was a complete surprise and everything is stylish and comfortable. We had no need for any help from Helen or Bridget but they are close by if needed. I’m from Truro so it was a 10 min bus into the city, a wander round some old haunts and a £10 cab home. We will definitely be back, no more need for a hotel.

  • This cabin by the river really is a perfect getaway , it is exactly as it is portrayed in the photos , the welcome and cleanliness of the place was exemplary . The location on the river, hard to beat , we spent many hours in the seating area just watching the wildlife , and drinking the odd glass of wine. Thanks Helen, it was a super break, we will be back.

  • Lovely space, spotlessly clean, every detail well thought out. The outside space right beside the river is fantastic. A hive of activity, we were lucky enough to see some deer, egrets, gannets, swans etc. Easy to drive to the many gardens and coastal spots that Cornwall has to offer. Helen was a great host. Would stay again if we were in the area.

    Deb2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely chalet right on the banks of the river. It's very comfortable and has everything needed for a holiday break. • Had an amazing stay for valentine's weekend. Was looking for somewhere cozy to snuggle up in and forget the world, and Leon's cabin offered us just that. We stayed during storm dennis and was very warm and comfortable. The cabin has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Leon was not there to great us but kept in touch through messages and responded instantly if we had a query and his parents were next door so help was at hand should we of needed it. Loved the little touch of the scones left for our arrival (they were delicious, thank you), as well as the fresh milk in the fridge. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Charming Cornish Cottage with beautiful rural scenes all round. Small but spacious room that will suit the single traveller, but will also cater to couples. Situated in the village of Tregony, which is locally known as the gateway to the Roseland. The village offers a local shop, hairdressers, pub/restaurant and is on a direct bus route to Truro City and the Roseland Peninsula. A short drive to the local beaches and stunning coastal walks.
Guests will have access and are welcome to use the kitchen/diner, the shared bathrooms, the balcony and garden terrace. This is a home that is lived in by myself and my daughter, and we own two small dogs and two cats. Whilst the bedroom is pet free, guests will need to be comfortable with the family pets in the rest of the property. There is no private parking, however the Village has a small carpark at the bottom of the hill, which is about 50m away. Alternatively, guests are able to park opposite the cottage on the road if space is available.

  • We had a lovely stay, the location is fantastic, very well situated for The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden project as well as many lovely beaches. The accommodation was very comfy and the space was very well utilised, with plenty of facilities to cook - we made breakfast and evening meals during our stay and enjoyed looking out at the views with our meal. If we’d have stopped longer we would have enjoyed using this as a base for some walks, there is a handy book left in the accommodation with some walks, as well as a book from the hosts with some good local tips.

    Gemma2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We can’t thank you enough for such an amazing stay. You’re accommodation and location is absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts for our 3 night stay. Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be back in touch to re visit soon. (If you allow us back!!!) The personal touches were so thoughtful,(the hamper and local recommendation including tide times and beaches.) Cleanliness and presentation was outstanding. Many many thanks James & Rebecca :)

    Becca2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A warm and friendly welcome from Emily who showed us the accommodation. Very warm and cosy (loved the underfloor heating). Apple and Cinnamon Muffins (homemade) were delicious thank you! Recipe will come in handy! We’d only travelled from Devon and brought the rainy weather across the border with us so the lanes surrounding were a bit troublesome following the Friday night storm but we didn’t allow this to stop us from going to Newquay, Padstow and Boscastle for some time out! All in all a lovely little romantic hideaway and can definitely recommend! Thank you!

  • What can I say but Superb ,Ashley was there to welcome us on arrival , telling local places to visit and some nice places to eat , the accomodation was lovely so homely all the little touches that Ashley had added , Prosecco bowl of fruit biscuits just little touches mean alot to me and flowers, dressing gowns, just little extras the bed was so comfortable and everything was of a high standard and good quality ,we would definatly come back in the summer as the outdoor area was lovely with views over the fields and seating area to relax ,village pub very friendly ,places to eat that we went to in charlestown were excellent The Boathouse for lunch and the Longstore for evening meal both 5star Thankyou Ashley just what we both needed 😘

  • We stayed in Maple Barn from the 15th - 22nd September 2018. This is by far the the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Everything & more had been catered for. Then scones on arrival were a lovely touch. There was plenty of room for us and our 7 month old son. The barn was spotlessly clean. Perfect location to visit many places in Cornwall. We had a fab week. Thank you again! Tom, Charlotte & Ed

  • Chris is one of the nicest men on planet earth. Lovely room, so clean and comfortable and Chris’s breakfast is five star. Highly recommended

    Karen2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredible experience for a B&B. Christopher and David were responsive to all requests and made us feel like we were home. Their recommendations for our day trips were fantastic. It was a perfect trip.

    Zach2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and David are extraordinary host. We never felt so comfortable on our entire journey. The room was nice and quiet, with a view and entrance to a beautiful garden and perfectly clean, with fresh towels and bed every day. The breakfast was extraordinary, we could choose every day from various options, all very tasty. Chris and David had wonderful recommendations for our day trips. We highly recommend this B&B!

    Anna2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is a great host and very welcoming. The dogs are so cute and friendly. The gardens are amazing and the photos do not do it justice. The place is very clean and the breakfast was great. There is a cosy tea room which is very handy and relaxing.

    Demi2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • From their hot drink and cake welcome, to their cheery goodbye, our hosts were faultless. Staying with Chris and David - and their friendly dogs - felt like visiting favourite relatives rather than being house guests. Our two night stay was in a beautiful room with doors that opened onto the garden, which featured an amazing variety of trees and plants. There was a separate lounge with magazines, hot drinks and biscuits which guests can relax in at any time. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of dishes to choose from - you can also request alternatives. Our wheat free needs were fully met. This is a very peaceful place to stay set in the Cornish countryside. Our hosts made recommendations for places to eat and visit which were ‘spot on’. We would fully recommend this AirBnB and hope to return one day too.

    Chris2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A LOVELY stay and could not have asked for more from our stay. Lots of nice touches including bottled water in the room, cute tea room with tea and biscuits accessible all hours, candlelit pathway to the entrance in the evening, tea and cake and personalised induction to the area on arrival and yummy chocolate bunny on Easter morning. Breakfast options were all 10/10 and varied and kept us going for most of the day. We tried a few! Location is tucked away in a nice, quiet area. We used it as a base to drive to different parts of the Cornish coast each day. Longest drive was about an hour to the Minnack Theatre. Chris was accommodating and had the perfect mix of being friendly and informative alongside allowing us to do our own thing. Wonderful place which we highly recommend!

Welcome to the Shabby Shack. The Shabby Shack wasn't always shabby it was once a wagon unloved and lost to the Cornish undergrowth. It hadn't been used for 30 years and was falling to bits, slowly. However, after a year of painting, sawing, polishing and wiring, the wagon has had a new lease of life and has been up-cycled to the Shabbiest Chichiest Shack in Cornwall. Come and enjoy staying in Shabby as much as we loved up-cycling him
The shabby shack is completely off grid all electricity comes from solar panels. There is absolutely no hidden gas bottles powering anything. This mean you have one of the most environmentally friendly holidays in Cornwall. A week here and you ll be Smug in the knowledge that your Carbon foot print was ant sized. If the sun does nt shine a day or so lighting the wood burner provides a source of heat and cooking ; the wood is from the surrounding farmland so you can be snug but also still smug in the knowledge that no fracking or drilling has occurred to heat or feed you. The location is ideal for getting that much craved for peace and tranquility.
The odd bird may peer at you, a butter fly may flutter by. I would watch out for the local Owl who may swoop over you at night and give you a hoot.
  • Great place, beautiful location - helps you get back to basics

    Carrie2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week at the Shabby Shack and we didn’t want to leave at the end. Nick and his friends at the farm were really helpful and lovely to meet. There were lots of animals too! We saw a horse everyday and when we were having BBQ a dog and a cat came to share with us. Obviously we needed to adjust our daily schedule a bit to save energy, but it added to the experience and didn’t cause any real problems. You can use all amenities in a sunny day. Even in a day when it was cloudy and drizzling all day we still have enough electricity for showers, lights and phone charging. Do use the woodburner and bbq to cook as it gave much more fun than using the microwave. It also had one of the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, and do try the blackberries you can find nearby if come during Autumn. Thanks Nick for creating such a lovely little place.

    Kainan2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The shack is far from shabby...it has been renovated to a very high standard! The bed is also exceptionally comfortable 💤😁! We had to learn how to control the power, but after some sunshine we could use all the amenities. Great location for Eden and other parts of Cornwall.

    Joanne2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the shabby shack, lovely touches and peaceful location. Stayed with my 5 year old grandson, he loved the adventure, the farm is so interesting and a lovely host family, many thanks to Peter for the tour. Great location for exploring coasts of Cornwall, highly recommended.

    Victoria2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Shabby Shack and despite there being spells of extreme weather we always felt safe, warm and cosy. Nick was a great host and was there to greet us shortly after our arrival and shared with us everything we needed to know including the history and origin of the Shabby Shack. As well as making good recommendations for meals out and day trips, Nick was very quick with his responses to any queries we had. We would highly recommend the Shabby Shack to anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city life with the option of visiting both sides of the beautiful Cornish coast.

    Fran2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little place in a beautiful spot, calm and relaxing. Great base for exploring Cornwall. Within 15-30 minutes you can be at a coastal town. Only drawback I had and it wasn’t anything to do with the place or Nick, was my sat nav wanted to take me up a dead end road to get to the the farm. However my phone sat nav took me straight there. Thanks for a lovely stay.

    Lisa2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Charming place in an idyllic setting right on the edge of the working farm. The shack itself is perfect size for two people and is in a great location to visit north or south Cornwall. Incredibly relaxing stay and would recommend to anyone.

  • The shabby shack is lovely place to rest/relax in the heart of Cornwall. We found it easy to commute around Cornwall to the beaches and towns we desired. Lovely touches (from homely cushions to outdoor benches) around the household (train) added to the experience and may the small space feel far larger than first thought. Nic was a very welcoming and approachable host. Had a lovely stay - can highly recommend.

Hare's Hut offers modern yet rustic accommodation with countryside views. Whether looking for a peaceful retreat or a handy bolthole with easy access to Cornwall's outstanding attractions then the Hare's Hut is the place for you. Double bed accommodation with wet room, sitting area and small kitchen. The kitchen includes: a full cooker, toaster, kettle and fridge. Bed linen and towels are provided. Smart tv, radio and Wi-Fi also included.
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Hare’s Hut, warm and snug in the cold and wet weather but would be equally lovely in the summer when you can enjoy the outside space. Great for a couple, the hut has everything you need; comfortable bed, excellent shower, and all essentials for the kitchen. Close to Truro with easy access to Falmouth and surrounding coastal walks. Would definitely return if visiting the area again.

  • Our stay was absolutely outstanding. The location was stunning and the hut was more luxurious than I had ever imagined. I cannot reccomend this place enough! 10X better, more unique, more private, and more beautiful than a hotel. So happy we chose to stay here. Incredibly good value.

    Emily2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little get away - close and ideal for day trips all around Cornwall. I would definitely recommend this for any couple looking for a quiet get away! 10/10.

  • The lovely Hare’s Hut has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the nature. We enjoyed the beautiful view! Despite the limited space, the hut is very well equipped and has thoughtful details. We absolutely recommend Julie and Mike’s hut for a stay around Truro 😊

    Sarah2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a brilliant time at hare hut. It's just a few miles from Truro, so you have all the supermarkets and shops nearby, but it's actually far enough away down a lane with views over fields that you feel you are in the middle of the countryside. It's a really great location for exploring Cornwall by car as it's pretty central and easy access to main roads. The hut has all mod cons, inside shower, toilet, kitchen, heating etc and is positioned away from the house overlooking fiels, so it feels very private. I would highly recommend. Thanks again for a great stay.

  • The Hares Hut is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Julie and Mike are the most fantastic hosts.

  • Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews - they’re just starting out but they’re great!! We have stayed in several shepherds huts but this was by far the best! Ultra modern and homely, spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need for your stay including fully stocked kitchen tools. The hut is in their garden but feels nice and secluded with lovely views and a table and chairs outside. With the underfloor hearing, heated towel rail and having the oven on to make dinner, it was really warm and cosy! Thanks Julie!

  • My family and I absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous, spacious, clean converted stable. There were games for the kids on the times we spent in the house, information on local attractions, clothes washing and drying facilities and pretty much everything we could think of! It was a great location for exploring Cornwall! We will definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
