  • Hope cottage is beautiful, it is a fairy tale cottage tucked away in beautiful Longborough. The decor is cosey and the log fire is perfect for drinking a glass of red in front of. Logs and Kindle were provided. The Rayburn took a little to figure out, but Chris popped round and showed us how it was done. Close to the many of the iconic villages in the north Cotswolds. And a local pub which offer a Christmas dinner option. This place is perfect to get away and relax.

  • We highly recommend booking Hope Cottage! There are many wonderful cottages in the Cotswold's to book and I ended up selecting Hope because the pictures depicted old world charm, comfort, space and walking distance to a pub. We have never rented in the Cotswold's before and I was uncertain where exactly to stay. The village of Longborough was perfect and the cottage provided us with all we required and then some. Communication was excellent, parking and entering the cottage was easy. We were welcomed with a few items that were greatly appreciated! I was excited to invite some family to visit and stay with us throughout the week. We had great weather and all enjoyed a bbq and walk around the village. We visited the pub numerous times with family and always felt welcomed and a part of the village. The comfort & space that the cottage provides is perfect! The hiking from Longborough is fantastic; short & long hikes. It is also a very easy drive to Stow, Bourton-on-the-Water & Slaughters which a great places to visit. We did enjoy a day of village hopping and always loved getting back to Hope Cottage - our home away from home for the week. You will not be disappointed - book!

  • Hope Cottage is a absolutely lovely place. We loved it there. Prefect for driving around to other villages, and for walks. We went on the recommended walk, which was beautiful, with added bonus of a guided tour of a Mogul palace! The village shop was right next door, they even had logs for the fire place. The village pub is a few metres up the road. Peefect Cotswolds experience!

There are several footpaths from the village, and two national cycle routes pass through the village, making this an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts. The many picturesque towns and villages of the North Cotswolds are also all within easy reach, as are other attractions such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Stratford-upon-Avon. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Cosy Corner sits in a short terrace of Cotswold stone cottages, on a footpath in the heart of Evenlode. The front door opens into a small porch, which leads through to the well laid out ground floor area: Living/dining room: A lovely, characterful room, with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, which contains a two-seater sofa, two armchairs and a window seat (microfibre cushions are provided). The comfortable dining area in the corner of the room has a round table and seating for four people. There is a SMART TV with a DVD/Blu-ray player, and a DAB digital radio with a wireless smartphone connection; Kitchen: Looking out to the garden, the well presented kitchen contains an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, fridge with ice box, slimline dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, Dualit coffee machine (compatible with Nespresso capsules), electric coffee percolator and milk frother. Bedroom 2: A bright room, with two single beds (hypoallergenic, microfibre bedding is provided) and a built in wardrobe; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with a handheld shower attachment, a walk-in shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. Stairs from the landing lead up into the lovely eaves room: Master bedroom: A characterful, cosy bedroom, with a double bed (hypoallergenic, microfibre bedding is provided), a comfy chair, plus a Freeview TV and a DAB digital radio. Directly outside the cottage is a bench and bistro table, and across the footpath in front of the cottage is a private garden. Laid to lawn with beautiful shrubs, there is a patio table with parasol and five chairs, as well as an additional bench, a charcoal barbecue with utensils, and a selection of garden games. At the end of the garden is a useful utility room, which contains a washing machine, two tumble dryers, and a freezer, as well as a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • Great place to stay, sparkling clean and very homely. Also great location for exploring nearby villages. There was everything we needed and some very thoughtful touches.

Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal market towns in the North Cotswolds, situated on the Fosse Way and served by the main line railway from London Paddington. The town was granted its market charter in 1227 and there still is a busy Tuesday market, with about 200 stalls attracting many visitors. Moreton has been a traveller's town for at least 1700 years and was used as a coaching station before the coming of the Oxford to Worcester railway in 1853. The oldest building is likely to be the 16th century Curfew tower on the High Street, whose bell was rung nightly until 1860 to remind people of the risk of fire. The High Street has many elegant 17th and 18th century inns and houses, including the Redesdale Market Hall in the centre of the town. Food & Drink Moreton has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit all tastes and budgets. The list below is a small sample of the range of options available: Redesdale Arms (www.redesdalearms.com): Menus at the Redesdale Arms Hotel are a blend of modern international cooking and traditional British favourites, delicious when given a contemporary twist by the team in the kitchen. Eat in one of the refurbished restaurants, on the garden terrace or in the bar next to the log fires. The finest local ingredients are used, including Cotswold meat and locally grown vegetables, with daily specials including local game and fresh Cornish seafood. • Lovely cozy place, nice to read the guest book and other tips available.

  • Great little cottage, gorgeously decorated and with everything we needed (except a freezer which we didn't check before buying ice cream!). Really cosy and comfortable, especially with the wood burner. Tha ks for a lovely stay.

  • We had a lovely few days at Cobblers Cottage- very cosy - great location for exploring The Cotswolds - would definitely recommend it.

  • Lovely place to explore the Cotswolds from and return to each evening.

    Sam2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful! We loved it so much. The village is adorable and quite near everything we wanted to visit. There was a lovely market in the town square the day we arrived. Check-in was easy, the cottage is absolutely lovely and felt like home. The floors were a bit squeaky but we loved it! Unfortunately, we got a flat tire when we pulled in and they weren’t able to bring us a spare (no spares in European rentals for some unknown reason). We weren’t able to get a new car until late the next day. And even though that bummed us out, we couldn’t have had a better place to be lazy in while we waited! There’s plenty of places to eat and a small grocery right around the corner. We drove into Stow on the Wold for dinner at The Porch House (it was terrific!).

  • Amazing cottage in a beautiful spot. Really convenient for an amble to the pub and quaint shops of Morton. Would definitely stay again.

The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

The White Hart Royal (www.whitehartroyal.co.uk): The kitchen team use fresh local ingredients to produce cuisine that is contemporary English a la carte or traditional pub classic. To complement the menus there is an extensive cellar of specially selected new and old world wines. You can dine in the Courtyard Restaurant, al fresco in the courtyard or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Snug Bar with its stone-flagged floor and large Inglenook fireplace; The Spice Room (www.spiceroomrestaurant.com): The Spice Room Restaurant is a family-owned and family-operated Indian Restaurant, with over 12 years of experience cooking and serving the best and tastiest Indian cookery. All the food is made to order with the freshest ingredients. Moreton has a Tesco Express, a Budgens and a Co-op for regular food purchases and, for a special treat, there are a number of delicatessens specialising in local produce, including: The Cotswold Cheese Company (www.cotswoldcheese.com): The store stocks more than 80 different artisan and farmhouse cheeses, with a real focus on local quality producers, followed by British territorial cheese (Cheshires, Lancashires, Caerphilly etc.) and then focussing on very high quality French, Spanish & Italian cheese. To complement the cheese, the store also sells a wide range of cheese accompaniments and other deli essentials including local breads, biscuits & crackers for cheese, chutneys & local potted meats and pate's.

  • Amazing hospitality and a great space to stay set within a beautiful village. We will stay again for sure!

  • A cute little yet extremely well equipped annex. You would be amazed to notice the range of amenities within the annex with enough space for two and would definitely admire the sparkling cleanliness. Dee was generous enough to keep some snacks, coffee, and milk which was enough to last during our stay. More than that, it was the amazing hospitality of this cute and beautiful couple as they were kind enough to give us a ride to and fro Moreton on both the days of our stay(that saved us some money on the expensive taxi rides for such short distance). There is a local pub within walking distance from the annex with great food and also a beautiful church. If not driving, then pls ensure your rides to Longborough and ride to Moreton are booked in advance else you might find it difficult to get a taxi sometimes. The view from the annex is beautiful and so is the village itself. You must take a short walk around this pretty village. Would love to come back here, and especially to meet Dee and her husband. Such lovely people.

    Emily2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Quintessential English countryside house. We were a family of five and found it perfect for our stay. Big and comfortable bedrooms for a good night of shut eye before a long day exploring nearby towns and walking. Cosy and warm living room that we could drink wine and play boardgames in the evening.

    Camilla2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful cottage in a lovely village. Very cosy drawing room and everything you could need in the kitchen.

    George2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful space, right on the village green! The house is cozy and well-decorated. The host's representative left us a delectable chocolate cake and milk in the fridge. We communicated with the host's representative several times throughout the stay (to get the wifi password and to report a leak) with ease. We were given a late check-out which was really helpful. Staircase is narrow/steep and ceilings are low, so be mindful - but it's part of the "price you pay" to stay in a beautiful, historic Cotswold home - wouldn't trade it!

    Caroline2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, well appointed cottage. We highly recommend it.

    Kristin2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful old house, with, we could not help but notice, very high end touches, lovely soft comfy beds, expensive feeling sheets. Idyllic English village location, lovely for some peace and quiet. Only drawback was the opening times of the village pub but it so close to stow it hardly mattered. Had a lovely trip and would stay again.

Perfect location just a short drive out of the village, with a stunning village square which included lots of local shops and pubs. The accommodation was equally as perfect, located in a little cluster of other cottages. The house was incredibly equipped, we were able to cook every night and the kitchen/living area was idyllic you relax in each evening. Comfy bed, hot shower and a real stove to light the fire. This is the perfect place!

Studio apartment in character, period coach house. Light, airy open plan studio with superking bed (or 2 singles), comfortable lounge and kitchen area. Walking distance to town and station and backing onto open fields.
The Coach House studio is an ideal base for couples or friends, from which to explore the Cotswolds. Situated just a short walk from Moreton High Street it is tucked away and private, yet close enough to walk into town and grab a coffee or lunch at one of the many cafes and pubs. The space is a large, open plan first floor studio accessed via a downstairs lobby room where you can leave muddy coats and wellies if you've been out walking. The shower room is also situated downstairs. It is comfortably equipped with everything you need for a weekend stay, or longer, and there is a large library of art books and novels for keen readers. The kitchen area is fully equipped with a mini oven, hob, fridge, and plenty of crockery and pans if you wish to cook for yourself. If you'd like us to arrange some locally sourced breakfast provisions please let me know and we can get bacon, eggs and sausages from our nearby farm shop at extra cost. We can also arrange sausage making, bacon curing or lambing (in season!) experiences for you at additional cost - let us know in advance and we can tailor workshops for your party.
Moreton in Marsh is a typical Cotswold town with honey coloured stone buildings. There is a weekly market on Tuesday and the High Street has a range of shops and cafes. There are numerous walks heading out of town and a short walk across fields will take you to the local farm shop where you can buy fantastic home produced bacon, sausages and eggs for breakfast, or get a delicious latte. Batsford Arboretum and Falconry are both within walking distance, and there is The Horse and Groom (an award winning pub) just up the road in Bourton on the Hill. Moreton is a great place to explore the Cotswolds from - Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Chipping Norton, Broadway and Bourton on the Water are all within easy reach.
  • Spacious open plan loft, warm and comfortable with a full range of amenities. Very friendly hosts with a wealth of suggestions on what to do and where to get good food and drink. 5/5

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Coach House, it's a lovely, warm space with absolutely everything you could need including shampoos and crockery etc. The location is great, just a minute's walk to the main street and the hosts were very friendly and provided us with great recommendations for food & drink etc. Only downside was the wifi stopped working after the first night, possibly due to a storm. Other than that we really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

    Sarah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

Accommodation Heath Barn is a period Cotswold stone detached property which has been converted in a contemporary, uncluttered style. It lies next to the adjacent farmhouse in a quiet, rural location at the end of a 1-mile shared farm track between Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh.
There is an en-suite bathroom that is attached to each double bedroom. There is also the single bed on the gallery . One other point, there is a dining area within the open plan downstairs.
  • We’ve had a wonderful stay in Francis’s place! The location is perfect for walks across the countryside and he gave us brilliant tips on where to walk, visit and eat! The space is great, with two lovely bedrooms. We came as two couples and it suited perfectly! We’ll definitely visit again!!

  • Five of us went to Heath Barn to have a relaxing weekend in the countryside - we were not disappointed! The property is incredible. It is cosy, spacious, and has all the amenities you need to make it a great stay. We loved being able to cook and eat together in the open space. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a peaceful stay in a beautiful home.

  • A wonderfully converted barn with plenty of open space and great amenities. We spent couple of nights here with our little ones and friends who were visiting from San Francisco. My little boy love the open space and the small woods in front of the barn. The location is great for exploring other villages and towns in Cotswold. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again in future.

    Jason2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great barn with plenty of facilities, comfortable beds and was clean. Perfect place for a night in with log fire and board games. Francis was a great host. Surrounding area is beautiful, had a great girly weekend here!

  • Heath Barn is a cosy, stylish and tranquil place surrounded by beautiful grounds. Location wise it is perfect for exploring the villages and towns of the Cotswolds, but to be honest we spent most of our time at the barn, relaxing and enjoying walks around the area. Francis was very hospitable, leaving a nice bottle of wine for us on arrival. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Cotswolds.

    Michael2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We used the barn for a family get together. There is a gated field adjacent to the barn which you can use and this was perfect for the kids and dogs to use their energy. The kids loved saying hello to the horses next to the barn. Amenities in the barn are great as well.

    Charlotte2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Heath barn is a truly great place to stay. It is private and ,if you like to get away from it all ,ideal. The barn design and layout are quirky and the open plan space great for family get always. In good weather the private outside patio is great for relaxing with glass of wine and walks around the fields and woods just a step away. Highly recommend. Thanks Francis for your hospitality.

I believe this is a great place to start or end a travel in this beautiful Cotswold district, where it places in center of north interesting visit points. And the host, Louise was very nice. She also recommended us places to visit such as cafe’s restaurant’s and etc. I highly recommend this quiet and private place, either for family or couple!

  • Katy’s place is ideal for either singles or couples; spacious and very comfortable. It’s within an easy walk of the town where there are plenty of options to eat. Having a separate access means you don’t have to worry about disturbing Katy and her family when coming or going. Katy is very friendly and available to help or advise if needed. I had a very enjoyable stay for two nights.

Welcome to my very special genuine Shepherds Hut situated in a beautiful hidden valley in the heart of the Cotswolds, off the beaten track but near to many local attractions, gardens and national trust properties. It is also perfectly situated for wonderful walks with a network of footpaths starting from right outside the door and local pubs only a few miles away. A truely cosy retreat in my peaceful private garden.
The hut has a double bed, thick duvet, pillows and wood burning stove to keep you toasty warm. Outside the hut in the garden you'll find a table and chairs. There is a private bathroom with shower, basin and toilet in a converted section of my garden shed close to the hut where there is also a fridge and a microwave for your use. A kettle and teas, coffees and milk are included in the hut. There is WiFi but it isn't always strong in the hut. You are able to use it in the garden on seats nearer the house.
  • Really lovely space. Cosy and warm once the burner was lit. Really friendly and helpful host. Beautiful surroundings. Would recommend.

  • We had a really nice stay in Louise’s hut! It was so quiet and peaceful. The hut was cosy, warm and Louise was kind to give us some extra blankets. The tea and coffee was a nice touch, which we enjoyed from bed as the sun came up. There was a separate building that had the bathroom, fridge, microwave and crockery. Highly recommend!

    Jacob2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Louise was one of our favorite AirBnB hosts we have met during our backpacking travels around the UK. She was so hospitable and kind, even giving us a ride to her place shortly after we got off the train. She has spent a considerable amount of her life in the Cotswolds so she had a vast amount of knowledge and tips of the walking paths and trails. She invited us into her home and showed us on the map all of the different areas of interests nearby and she was so nice and kind that she even gave us a ride the morning we checked out. Her Shepherds Hut was adorable with a small wood stove for those chilly evenings but we slept so solid throughout the whole night which was much needed for the start of a long day full of hikes. I would definitely reccomend anyone in the area to stay at Louise's place, even if just to meet her and chat with such a kind person!

    Christian2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Shepherd's Hut was our perfect answer to wanting to have the best parts of camping with none of the bad in the rain. It's adorably snug, warm, and so cozy with the sound of rain hitting the roof. The bed is super comfy and the nearby bathroom facilities (with a fridge and dishes as well) is a short dash away in a downpour. Louise's entire property is gorgeous and she's a lovely host. Would absolutely recommend as a base for exploring the Cotswolds!

    Libby2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed with my partner for the night and the experience was amazing. Louise was a great host and made us feel right at home.

  • The cottage is very well located in the Cotswolds, which is an area of outstanding beauty. It is within a short driving distance to many of the lovely villages. We made good use of the local pub which is within walking distance of the cottage. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed, a lovely kitchen with a range cooker, log fire with plenty of logs supplied, nice bathroom with free standing bath and a good size en suite to main bedroom. Very comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, romantic cottage. Stylishly furnished and decorated and equipped with everything you might want or need. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved seeing the sheep in the meadow across the road and the quiet location, and yet so close to Stow and other villages nearby.

    Barry2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nick's cottage was outstanding, it was super clean, very spacious for a cottage, we were able to do a load of laundry, the kitchen was clean and had some supplies for us to use. The upstairs was gorgeous, there was supplies for us to use as well. There was games, movies, books, lots of travel info as well. The courtyard has a water stream flowing through it. It is walking distance to a breakfast place and a fabulous Pub called the Coach and Horses with great ambiance and food and so much more. Happy travels to everyone. :)

  • Nick was a wonderful host and always very communicative in a timely manner. The cottage and garden were lovely and quaint. We enjoyed our stay very much and this was a great location for visiting friends and family in the area. The bottle of wine was a very nice touch. The kitchen was very well equipped and we found it easy to prepare meals there. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    Lalie2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Your could not ask for a better host, the cottage is thoroughly fantastic and comfortable. A host of cooking utensils for cooking what-ever you wish, delightfully positoned to visit major cities in the region, at the same time in a quiet and friendly village. Having stayed for just one week, did not have time to visit all activities that were available in the region.

    Malcolm2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage and village were absolutely perfect for a truly tranquil escape. We had family visit us and the space was perfect to enjoy meals together, play games (great selection) and still have private quiet time using the outdoor patio or lounging inside. The kitchen is fabulous and well planned for cooking! It has a lovely fireplace (which we did not use but would be lovely on a cool evening). The cottages is placed just at the base of the village and enjoys a cute little play park across the street which even our older nieces were excited to visit each day - it is a nice way of extending the outdoor space. We enjoyed several walks - one to Moreton-in-Marsh directly from the village and a short drive away several other great hikes. Quiet location but convenient to great little villages and grocery stores nearby. This felt like a home a way from home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and gave everyone a bit of private space for our stay. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely and charming home with us!!!! We are already talking about our return.

  • Honestly amazing. It was a relaxing getaway and it was worth it. Alice, Ken and Vivienne were amazing. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time wondering around, painting and relaxing here. The place itself was clean and tidy. Would hopefully come back one day. Thank you again!

  • Amazing place. Great value for money and close to many of the great villages around The Cotswolds.

  • Such a perfect cosy little cottage! Me and my boyfriend stayed for valentines weekend! We cooked dinner both nights with use of the kitchen! Unfortunately the storm kept us inside for most of the weekend but it didn’t ruin it for us! We played the games left in the cupboard and watched a dvd! Perfect place for peace & quiet if that’s what your looking for! Also the little touches of fresh daffodils and breakfast treats were amazing, so thanks again for making us feel at home! We will be back again in the summer to enjoy the area a little more!

    Brogan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Alice for being a great host. We had an amazing time. Due to storm Ciara, we had to leave earlier , but Alice did offer that we could stay an extra night for free, but due to work schedule, we left early. What an amazing host. I recommend this place 💯. Will definitely stay again. Thanks Alice.

  • My partner and I spent the weekend (25th - 27th January 2020) at The Nook. It was just what we were looking for! The Nook was very well presented, clean, spacious and cozy! The little added extras (e.g. board games, breakfast supplies, local attractions/information) were a lovely touch. Would highly recommend The Nook to anyone hoping for a peaceful weekend away. Thank you to Alice and her family.

    Chloe2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at the Nook, and took the bikes out for a cycle on one day. The cottage was sparkling clean and had everything we needed for our weekend trip. Alice was great with communication and we will definitely be recommending this place to our friends.

  • We spent a lovely 2 nights at Acorn's Nest, the views are stunning and we loved having a leisurely breakfast looking out over the fields. The hut is very cosy and has everything you need for a short stay, including towels, a hair dryer, shampoo in the bathroom and even some board games! The breakfast hamper was a lovely touch, Heather has thought of everything! Food-wise, we would recommend the Yellow Brick Cafe and the Redesdale Arms for lunch and dinner respectively, in Moreton-in-Marsh. Thank you very much Heather!

    Anna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Location was beautiful situated by vast fields, the accommodation itself was unbelievably clean and well decorated, the log burner and heating meant that despite the weather outside being freezing - the cabin was very warm! Heather was a great host, recommending places for us to visit and providing us with a hamper on arrival. Had a brilliant weekend and would definitely return! And Sadie the donkey was a bonus too!

    Emma2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant host and amazing location for a gateway.

    Viktorija2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Acorns Nest was perfect for a weekend away! The place was clean and cozy and Heather was so friendly!

    Danielle2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best stays we have ever had at an air bnb. It was the perfect weekend from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. The place was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Heather had left a basket of croissants, jams, cheese, fruit, yoghurts and juice for our breakfast which was completely unexpected but such a lovely touch. The views are incredible and we spent the evening drinking wine with the log burner going and playing board games. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family for sure.

    Dieuwke2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Acorns nest is a wonderful weekend retreat away. It was sparkling clean, warm and cosy especially with the wood burner on, and all the little touches made it feel quite special. The bathroom is across the small courtyard but it is wonderfully clean and modern with a real Scandinavian feel. Overall a fantastic place at batsford (and next to lovely Sadie the donkey) which we will definitely be back to stay at again.

    Emma2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely shepherds hut, great scenery and great host! Highly recommend.

    Alex2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Heather’s place was great. Fridge well-stocked with lovely stuff for breakfast. Photos don’t quite do the place justice, especially with garden and view. Very clear and easy communication with Heather. Would highly recommend!

A cosy Shepherd Hut, named Elsie, resting in 60 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside. Glamping at its finest with all the comforts of home, in the great outdoors. Conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh, with direct train links to Oxford and London. Durhams Farm is home to over 30 much-loved horses and ponies. Horse riding experiences are also available at the Farm. The perfect location for couples, adventurers and animal lovers.
Camping may not be at the top of everyone’s list during the winter months but Elsie is a very reasonable alternative. We’ve kitted her out with hot and cold running water, heating and electricity too, so you can relax and enjoy all of the comforts of home, in the great outdoors. Elsie has comfy twin beds that can also be made into a kingsize double, with storage underneath. Please request your preferred arrangement. Bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchenette is stocked with crockery and cutlery; a kettle; a toaster; a microwave; a fridge/freezer and a Belfast sink. There is private seating outside your hut with beautiful views surrounding. Great for stargazing and the sunsets at the farm are beautiful. During the winter months, radiators will be added to keep you warm. The shower room is located approx 25metres away from the Huts in a blue cabin. Here, guests staying in the Huts have shared access (4 people max at any time/regularly cleaned) to a shower, WC and sink. Ideal for couples, friends and solo travellers! We have two huts available at Durhams Farm - great for group trips! Apologies, we do not accept bookings for young children (under 10) and/or pets. Wifi is not available in the Hut but can be accessed on the farm all day. Visit the riding school reception to connect your device.
Our Shepherd Hut is set in a stunning part of the Cotswolds within easy reach of picturesque towns such as Moreton in Marsh, Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham and Warwick are both within a 40 minute drive. There are miles of bridleways and footpaths to explore in the surrounding area and some great local pubs and restaurants. Daylesford Organic is 3 miles away too and well worth a visit whilst you stay.
  • Really nice get away for the weekend. Excellent location as well as views.

    Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay surrounded by horses and chickens who came to say hello to us in the morning outside our window! The showers/toilet, although only a few metres away did seem a lot longer during the night but were exceptionally clean and the toiletries provided were a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend. The location was perfect for our plans being central to where we needed to go and following the local tips provided added to our overall Cotswold experience :)

    Amy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay. Beautiful views of the sunrise; cozy hut, all sorts of cute little touches and impressively roomy despite looking small from the outside. I would definitely stay here again! A great place if you are walking through the Cotswolds for an overnight stay.

    Mia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a good night in the hut, check in was smooth, and it was really clean! The kitchenette is perfect. Bed is really comfortable! It was cozy and warm when we arrived with the little heater. Woke up in the field with the chickens outside, picture perfect!

    Alexia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s was excellent! So fun to do something different for a night.

    Charlotte2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a lovely weekend staying in Elsie - could have easily stayed another week :) It was a little chilly as it was mid-January, but there are two small heaters and lots of cosy blankets and hot water bottles to keep warm. It was so nice to wake up to blue sky, vast farmland views and little ducks and chickens outside. Really recommend this for some solo relaxation and reflection time, or a romantic getaway! I didn't have a car and it was okay (you can take taxis from Chipping Norton/Moreton in Marsh or walk a couple of hours if you fancy it) but I do think it would be better to have a car if you want to do more exploring. Thanks Sarah and Pat!

    Hayley2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay in this sweet Shepherd’s hut. It was cozy even tho it was January.

  • Valerie is a super, super host! Nothing is too much trouble. Upon arrival she made us feel very welcome with a cup of tea and made us feel very much at ease allowing us to come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was very tasty and we could have had more. Our room was cosy and clean with an adjoining bathroom almost in a little wing of its own. We were in the area for a wedding and Valerie made sure we had everything we needed when getting ready. We would definitely return. Just so homely. We loved it. In a perfect location to return and explore more of the lovely Cotswolds area.

  • Our stay at Quarry Stones B&B was most enjoyable and we would certainly go back again! The house is very well placed for many walks and centres of local interest and was stylishly furnished and kept sparkling clean. The most important thing though, was the kindness and thoughtfulness of our very attentive and experienced host, Val. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. We mustn't forget to mention her delicious cooked English breakfast with locally sourced ingredients and the friendliness of the resident feline!

  • Val’s b&b was such a wonderful experience for my boyfriend and I’s mini break. It was in the most perfect location to travel all around the Cotswolds and Val was a wealth of local information. The room was big and spacious as well as the bathroom and was decorated lovely. Val was an amazing host who provided us with a beautiful breakfast which kept us going all day and couldn’t do enough to make our stay as perfect as it could be. Val even gave us hot water bottles to help with our sore knees after a long bike ride! We’ll definitely be staying with Val again!

  • This is a lovely cottage and plenty big enough for 8 adults. The cottage is as photographed and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. I was cautious about using a third party, but Bolthole were very responsive and helpful.

  • We had a family weekend away celebrating a big birthday at Bolthole, and it was just perfect! The cottage is gorgeous; a lovely home away from home. We loved all the rooms, and the games room too. Such a cosy, warm place with tons of room for the 7 of us plus a baby! Spent lots of the weekend with food and games at the kitchen table - with gorgeous views of the garden. Would highly recommend staying here!

  • Such a cozy, perfectly located place for my trip to the cotswolds. The host was a great communicator, made the check-in process easy, and it was a fun novelty to stay above a cafe (delicious breakfast and great cappuccino in the morning)! Location is great for travelers (right next to the train station) and nice walks through the country adjacent to the property.

  • This place is beautiful, peaceful, close to nature wonder. I'm so glad we found it and will definitely go back. The little house were nice and clean, included enough facilities for a perfect weekend. Big thank you for our hosts, who own this farm. They are great, thoughtful people.

    Viktoria 2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a stunning place. We were made so welcome. Amanda was really great with communication and information for local amenities and more importantly how to maintain the hot tub. They allowed access to see the cows and their babies which was a lovely touch as we had our one year old. A real gem, highly recommended!!! Thanks again!!

    Lee2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The most wonderful weekend. Small and compact but everything you need for a perfect weekend. Super clean and Amanda/Howard couldn’t have done more for us. It really is a wonderful little cabin. We’re already checking dates of when we can return.

    Laura2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a beautiful setting I'm only gutted we arrived during a storm but despite that it was warm and cosy and the hot tub was great! We will definitely be returning in the warmer months to make the most of the setting! Amanda was a lovely host- thank you again!

    Naomi2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic 2 night stay here, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We used the hot tub both nights and loved it once we got the hang of how to use it! Would definitely recommend at would return in the future. Thanks Amanda!

    George2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place - definitely go here! The wood fired hot tub was brilliant and we had great fun star gazing on a clear night. The wigwam has everything you need and it’s in a great location for the Cotswolds. Couldn’t fault it! Nothing like roasting marshmallows over the fire pit whilst the hot tub was heating up.

    Nick2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a must do property. The hospitality of Howard and Amanda is second to none. The cabin is fantastic and the hot tub adds that wow factor. We arrived late due to work yet Howard and Amanda has sorted the hot tub ready for us to jump into. The cabins are perfectly placed to watch the sunrise and set. We will be heading there again in the snow and summer.

    Richard2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin with an AMAZING wood fired hot tub, I was using it under a perfect clear night sky, at 1 degrees and it was lovely! Very nice hosts with good tips for local eating!

  • Maureen's place was perfect, there was absolutely nothing missing (although if there was Maureen seemed to be ready to help!). The place was squeeky clean, comfortable and easy to access from the station. We loved the fireplace that warmed up the room in minutes! We were able to cook breakfast and dinner at the place with all the amenities available. It was perfect stay!

    Adiba2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen couldn’t have been more welcoming. Her place is ideally located for all that Moreton-in-Marsh has to offer. It’s also cosy, clean and comfortable: we were left wanting for nothing. We especially enjoyed curling up in front of the fire, which is a lovely touch.

    George2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The barn annexe is a perfect base for a trip to the Cotswolds. The location is really handy for the town and train station and lots of great walking routes - we enjoyed walks up to Blockley via Batsford and down to Bourton on the Water. The annexe itself is really cosy and really well equipped with thoughtful touches like breakfast, the gas fire and bath salts. Maureen was a lovely host and very kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the station. The one thing I would say is that the annexe is on quite a busy road but luckily this didn’t bother us. Overall a wonderful stay.

  • We had a wonderful break here just after a hectic christmas and it was just what we were looking for. Excellent location walking distance to many cafes and restaurants as well as some lovely walks. Maureen was a wonderful host who kept regular contact and let us know if we could check in early! The space was lovely, spacious and well equipped it was the perfect setting for a relaxed break - thank you Maureen, we look forward to returning

  • Absolutely amazing experience. - and Maureen was wonderful! Easy to get around town and area. Wish we had more time to enjoy the cottage and town!

  • Maureen is a very kind person's and her place is amazing. She picked us up from the train station and gave us some local tips on the way, which was really excellent. The location is great, only about a 10 minute walk to the station and only a couple of minutes to town centre. The annex itself is very clean and welcoming, the fireplace is a very nice touch and there was a heap of tea, milk and breakfast supplies available. We really loved our stay, it felt very luxurious and completely exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this place to anyone.

    Kaili2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute gem the Barn Annex is. Maureen provides you with a lovely welcome into an immaculate place. Bedding, towels etc are all provided and of high quality as is the accommodation itself. Everything you need is provided and the gas "log" fire is an additional bonus to die for. The Barn Annex is literally less than a 5 minute walk into Moreton in Marsh and an ideal location to base yourselves within the Cotswolds. This was our first stay using airbnb and could not have found a better property to stay in with a fabulous host. Very highly recommended.

A cosy Shepherd Hut, named Ronald, set in 60 acres of tranquil Cotswold countryside. Glamping at its finest with all the comforts of home in the great outdoors. Conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh, with direct train links to Oxford and London. Durhams Farm is home to over 30 much-loved horses and ponies. Horse riding experiences are available whilst you stay. The perfect location for couples, adventurers and equine enthusiasts.
Camping may not be at the top of everyone’s list during the winter months but Ronald is a very reasonable alternative. We’ve kitted him out with hot and cold running water, heating and electricity too, so you can relax and enjoy all of the comforts of home, in the great outdoors. Ronald has a comfy fitted double bed, with storage underneath and all of your bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchenette is stocked with crockery and cutlery, a kettle, an electric single hob, toaster, fridge and sink. There is private seating outside your hut with beautiful views surrounding. Great for stargazing and the sunsets at the farm are beautiful. During the winter months, radiators will be added to keep you warm. There is a heated shower room a short walk (25metres) from the Huts in a blue cabin. Here, guests have shared (max 4 guests at any one time) access to a shower, WC and sink. Ideal for couples, friends and solo travellers! We have two huts available at Durhams - great for group trips! Apologies, we do not accept bookings for young children (under 10) and/or pets. Wifi is not available in the Hut but can be accessed on the farm all day. Visit the riding school reception to connect your device.
Our Shepherd Hut is set in a stunning part of the Cotswolds within easy reach of picturesque towns such as Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold.
  • Something different! We had a really special time and I was surprised at all the amenities that could fit into a small place but still look stylish and minimalistic

    Georgie2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my partner stayed in “Ronald” and I can’t recommend it enough! Parking was plentiful, check-in super easy, the amenities were clean and everyone around the site was very friendly. It was a little muddy on the yard so take wellies in rainy weather, but the hut itself is very cosy, warm and safe, and had lots of thoughtful touches such as blankets, hot water bottles and even little games to play when we were indoors. We got to wake up to stunning views over countryside and of Chastleton house, and the farm has plenty of animals to see! Really enjoyable couple of days, thank you 😊

    Mark2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • We had an amazing stay at Ronald. The hut was so well equipped. Really clean and in such a pretty location! Highly reccommend!

    Naomi2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ronald was just what I needed for a quiet weekend in the countryside! Sparkling clean, quiet and a lovely little haven. Can’t recommend enough.

    Catherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Small and cosy hut in a field next to a farm and riding centre. It is winter and I went with my toddler but it was so warm. Little portable stove, fridge, kettle and toaster were great to cook on. We arrived at night and woke up in the morning to pretty view of fields and the sound of ducks, chickens and guinea fowl running around. Lots of outside space to play though it was too wet when we were there. Best thing for us was popping into the horse riding centre 30m away and having a couple of little rides for my kid (additional cost) The guys were brilliant and it was lots of fun. I’d definitely come again! Bathroom is in the horse riding centre but v clean and private for the 2 huts. Take a torch and wellies!!

The cultural centres of Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are also close, as well as wonderful national trust house of Chaselton and Hidcote. London can be reached in less than 90 minutes from Moreton-in-marsh train station.(3 miles) Major supermarkets within 5 miles. Beautiful walks nearby as well as local cycle hire.
  • Great little cottage in a beautiful location, perfect for exploring the Cotswolds

  • Cozy, quirky and colorful cottage in the Cotswolds. Not far from Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water. Equipped with everything you could possibly need for a few days tucked away in the UK countryside including some kitchen basics: pots, pans, oil, salt and pepper, coffee, tableware.. It was all clean and comfortable, easy check in and good communication. We also made use of the books and board games provided and had a fab time. Would recommend!

    Nadine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great little cottage in a glorious part of the Cotswolds - the photos don’t do justice to such a wonderful little flat - great to get away from it all!

    David2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Little House is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a peaceful bolt hole away from it all. Nestled in the sleepy Cotswolds’ village of Evenlode, it is perfectly placed to get to all the main attractions the area has to offer, or hide from the world; whatever takes your fancy. The only thing to consider is that the nearest pub is in the next village, not a couple of miles away and the shops are in the bigger towns, such as Stow-on-the-Wold. So, make sure you’ve got what you need before heading back ‘home’. Having said that, the cottage is kitted out with all the basic utilities and enough supplies to get you started, such as washing up liquid, salt / pepper, olive oil... The house itself has everything you need for a cosy stay and is furnished to a good standard. On your doorstep you have good walks, no matter which direction you seem to take and there are suggestions of things you can do within the cottage itself. As a host, Clarissa was great. She responded quickly to any queries and was able to make good recommendations and give any useful numbers you might need during your stay. Providing Clarissa will have us back, we’re sure this won’t be our last time at the lovely Little House.

    Jamie2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

Moreton in Marsh is an internationally acclaimed traditional market town, situated in main boulevard of the picturesque Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh – said by many to be the most stunning market location in England. The Market opening times are as follows: Every Tuesday, (Nov-Mar) 9am – 3pm, (Apr-Oct) 9am – 3.30pm Moreton-in-Marsh is located in the Evenlode Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also surrounded by some very popular towns and villages which we recommend our guests go visit and explore! Chipping Campden, Broadway, Stow-on-the-wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton are historic and handsome locations. Local attractions we recommend are Batsford Arboretom, Sudeley Castle, Cotswold Falconry Centre, Chastleton House and Garden and many more. I (Rebecca) will be happy to chat to you about any local events, restaurants, pubs etc. I would strongly recommend The Porch House in Stow on the Wold. This is one of the oldest pubs in Britain, it serves delicious food and wine. It does get very busy so we recommend you book your table in advance!
  • We had a wonderful stay in this little cottage. The cottage is homely and decorated to a lovely standard. Becky communicated through out and she was very helpful in answering our questions. Loved the little touches such as leaving us some hot cross buns and blankets in the lounge for snuggling under. I would highly recommend this cottage especially as the standard is so high and the price was very reasonable compared to others in the area. I will absolutely stay here again!

    Emily2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay in a great location. Becky was quick to respond to messages and the personal touches on our arrival were a nice surprise. Would stay again.

  • What a lovely cottage to stay and enjoy the Cotswolds. Super close to the station and lots of pubs and coffee shops on the doorstep. When we arrived the heating was already on for us and there were fresh scones, coffee and milk in the fridge. We certainly felt welcomed! The kitchen has everything you need, there were lots of blankets to get comfy with and the fireplace really made the place. We would definitely visit and again and highly recommend to others. The place was so cosy we didn't want to leave!

Speak to us if you think you need this requirement. We have tried to make the hideaway a home from home. All linen is included, tea, coffee etc is provided. If you wish to use the tassimo please bring a few pods with you. WiFi is also included in the price and we have installed Now TV so you can watch anything on catch up or live on popular channels like BBC and ITV. There is a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine. The living room has a really comfy corner sofa which can be turned into a double bed also. If this is required please let us know so that we can leave out the linen for you. With views over the town centre the hideaway is in the middle of town yet retaining a quiet private feel. Local shops, pubs and restaurants are only a short walk away. There are 2 parking spaces that can be used if you bring your car.
Quiet location, yet centrally located. Multiple restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Main line station to Worcester and London Paddington within 5 mins walking distance. Easy access to the whole of the Cotswold. Batsford Arboretum leas than 5 mins drive away.
