Cottage in Wellington
Stylish, 19th-Century Cottage in Mount Victoria
Fix breakfast in the open plan kitchen and dine in the natural light from large skylight windows. Bi-fold glass doors open to a leafy courtyard ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or an early evening glass of wine. Modern furnishings and vibrant artworks unite for a smart, trendy vibe within this cottage. Mount Victoria is one of Wellington’s prettiest and most central neighbourhoods. Established early in the city’s history it still includes many of the original houses which are of architectural and historical value. It is within easy walking distance to bustling Courtney Place with its large variety of bars, cafes and cinemas. Oriental Bay, the waterfront and Te Papa museum is also a short walk away. Another short walk uphill from the house is the Wellington Town Belt. This is a great place for walking, jogging and mountain biking and offers great views of the city. It's a great neighbourhood to stay in for travellers or people dropping into Wellington for short trips. Access to the house is via a digital lock and the code will be provided to you before arrival. There are a few steps up to the front door. There is limited parking on the street Monday to Friday. The first 2 hours are free and then you will require a coupon to be displayed in the windscreen. These are available from the shop on the corner and cost $8 for the day. While I won't be there in person I can be contacted and available if needed. The cottage is located in the Mount Victoria neighbourhood of Wellington, a stroll away from charming eateries, cafes, and lounge bars, as well as boutique shops. Head to the waterfront to visit the Museum of New Zealand, then go for a scenic hike. The cottage is located in the Mount Victoria neighbourhood of Wellington.
