  • Fantastic view and location. Very clean and great space. More than we could ask for. A truly wonderful stay. Can't wait to return.

  • Highly recommended. Peter's home and very private AirBnb on the lake near Clarkston was perfect! My husband and I needed some downtime and Peter's place delivered. Guests can enjoy conversation OR do nothing but unwind; Peter's very flexible and accommodating. Thank you for letting my family visit and enjoy the lake for the afternoon. We really enjoyed the games, too, during the rain.

    Kristin2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • ONLY due to our extremely short time schedule we will keep this note short. Lisa & Peter are phenomenal hosts, their home is exquisite and made our business trip more of a vacation then work! Without any doubt, we will request to stay each and every time we have business in the area. Anyone visiting with this couple and at this incredible residence would have just one wish - NEVER HAVING TO LEAVE!!!! EnJOY your stay with Peter, they will leave "the porch light on".

    Keith2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this for my parents because they went to a concert at DTE! They couldn't say enough great things!

    Taylor2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and her family were welcoming. My stay was to focus on studying for a state examination without interruption from family. My brain break consisted of organic coffee, observing wild life flying around, and chunky snow falling onto the thin ice on the lake. It was stress free. Thank you for setting up a temporary desk for my studies and the spectacular view.

    Valerie2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Their beautiful home is well located for those that are traveling in the area, great sites to visit and or simply enjoy the tranquility of their lakefront estate. Peter and his wife are great hosts and I look forward to the next time to visit "home away from home"!!!

    Keith2017-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great find on Airbnb, our favorite place to stay when in town. It was very special to wake up to coffee and fog on the lake. Lisa, as always, was the best hostess. We feel priveleded to be a guest in their wonderful home.

    Lorraine2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Had an excellent week at Peter's place. Beautiful setting. Very comfortable and clean accomodation. Peter was an excellent host. Total privacy combined with an attentive welcoming atmosphere.

  • Mary's house was the perfect house for our siblings and kids during our sister's wedding in Holly. We all fit comfortably and it was so great being able to visit with each other once all the kids went to bed; something that is hard to do in hotels.

  • Beautiful house on a quiet little lake!

    Katelyn 2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nice no doubt a good place Great neighbourhood

    Joe2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for our group, with they perfect host. We originally wanted to stay in Ann arbor, but it was all booked up, and overpriced. I'm glad we didn't stay in Ann Arbor- I personally don't like busy small towns. The lake house was extremely clean, with plenty to keep us busy. I would stay there again, and would recommend staying here to anyone.

    Bryan2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and great host! Will definitely keep you in mind for our next stay in the area!

    Myles2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was a very gracious host. The place is beautiful! We would have loved to take advantage of all that this lake house has to offer, however, the weather did not cooperate....I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes to chill by the lake and relax!!

    Dannette2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • We showed up to Mary's completely exhausted and beat from a horrible day at the airport due to missed flights. What a relief to find such a beautiful home that was so welcoming. She had fresh donuts from the local doughnut shop waiting for us on the table and other amenities ready for us at our leisure. I was beyond impressed at the new renovations that had been done, leaving us feeling like we were literally in a new home. The backyard (lakefront) was absolutely gorgeous with park like grass and features all the way to the waters edge. I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance. You will not be disappointed.

    eric2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures doesn't do this house justice. It's an absolutely beautiful home that has evertthing you could ever need when away from your own home. The view from the house and the lake literally in your backyard was amazing. Mary made us a delicious breakfast casserole and was just super hospitable throughout our entire stay. We loved the access to the SUP and kayaks! Highly recommended and can't wait to stay again!

Phillip and I have restored a 166+ year old home in downtown Fenton, where we live with the friendliest Red Fox lab, named Bama. Our home is our refuge and one block from the Laundry restaurant. We hope you will enjoy it with us in the near future. The Loft @ 208 is a private studio suite above our garage with a queen bed, and a single pullout, two tvs, Phillip's bar, fridge, microwave, wifi and a complete bath. Two black leather sectionals complete the setting for a memorable weekend getaway.
Entry is via a code from the driveway door, through the entry room to the stairs, up to The Loft. The Loft is a new space having just been added to a 166 year old house in historic Dibbleville. It is approximately 900 square feet, cozy, comfortable and unique. Everything you need to have a memorable visit. There is a queen bed, a pull out single, 2 sectionals and a blow up mattress if needed.
208 is located in Historic Dibbleville, downtown Fenton. Beautiful homes, and an active business district just 1 block away. Chamber activities year round, State Parks, 60+ lakes, antique shops, bars, resturants, our own Speak Easy, live music, the Historic Holly Hotel with the Comedy Club and more for you to enjoy!
  • Everything about the loft was perfect. I booked my stay to work on my dissertation away from my family, and everything was private, peaceful, and comfortable-- very conducive to writing! Christy gifted me with a very nice bottle of wine and lots of chocolates and treats. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great pressure, and the loft was equipped with everything else I needed for my stay-- including very comfortable couches where I could relax after a long day of writing. I highly recommend the loft, either as a good base for visiting Fenton and the surrounding area, or even just for a staycation to get some work done!

    Martha2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was very high-end with premium finishes. Two large televisions, concrete counter topped bar area, comfortable bed, the list goes on. This place is like your own person loft apartment. Last but not least, Christy & Phillip were very welcoming by meeting me and making sure I was situated and knew of all the great things the loft had to offer as well as downtown Fenton. I highly recommend!

    Greg2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stay here!

    Jarrod2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft was a perfect place and so were the hosts Christy, Philip, and of course Bama! Beautifully decorated, centrally located, and very private. All the amenities needed for a weekend away and close to everything downtown and within walking distance. Greeted by the hosts and arrived to a bottle of wine and chocolates in addition to some fresh baked cookies one evening. Can't get better than that. Highly recommend and would return!

  • I am extremely impressed with every aspect of The Loft and what Christy and Philip have created. For a first timer I’d say they hit this out of the park! Bama’s playfulness and friendly greetings make the experience even more like home. The location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Downtown Fenton and as a base to explore the surrounding lakes and areas.

    Patrick2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Christy and Phillip's Loft is ideal for a stay in downtown Fenton. It is close to restaurants and bars and is perfect for 4 people (6 if you are friendly). We were welcomed with wine and chocolate and beer in the fridge to relax with after a long day. Christy provided pastry's from Crust in the morning too! We will be back.

    David2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect getaway. I give the loft my highest rating. Beautiful place and Christy and Phillip were so friendly. Was like being home!!!

    Stephen2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you're going to stay in Fenton you have to stay at the loft! I cannot say enough nice things about this place. It was super clean, comfortable and cozy. The location was absolutely perfect and near everything happening in town! Christy gave us our space, but was attentive and available if needed. It's amazing the attention to detail that was offered and went beyond my expectations. The wine was great, the baked goods and yummy sweets throughout the loft! I highly recommend the loft and if I am ever back in the area I will most definitely be staying here again.

Hello! My home is located in a very quiet neighborhood in northern Fenton. Close to restaurants, shopping, and multiple parks - you'll love this location!
My home is a 1300 sq. ft. ranch that has workout equipment, a pool table, and ping pong table in the basement for your use. Plenty of space to spread out! Your bedroom will come with satellite television with HBO included.
I live in an uncompleted subdivision, so the area is very quiet. While I do live in the city limits, it can feel very rural with all of the deer I see in my back yard.
  • Joseph's home was immaculate cleanliness wise and located 2 miles from downtown Fenton so it was centrally located. His house is like brand new and was decorated with style. If you want a place that is a cut above stay here no doubt about it. At this price point you will find nothing comparable in the area. He gets back better than any renter I have found on Airbnb and always has time for your questions day or night. Thank you Joseph for the wonderful place to stay!!!

    George2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph was a great host. Though we were unable to spend the night due to a family emergency, the experience leading up to this was smooth and painless. Joseph replied to all messages promptly, sent a detailed message about all of the amenities and how to access them, and was very gracious and understanding about our unexpected leave from the reservation. The home itself was lovely and quiet, located far from any busy roads or businesses, but still close enough to be a short drive from any businesses you could need, including downtown Fenton. The room was tidy and clean, and was exactly as advertised. A short nap was taken at the home and the bed was as comfortable as one would expect from any decent hotel. Overall I would recommend Joseph's home to anyone who desires a quiet place to rest their head during a trip.

    Richard2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph's home was perfect for our overnight needs. He offered consistent communication and ensured that we were comfortable by answering all of our questions. The space was comfortable and clean. We felt so at home at Joseph's home. We would readily stay at Joseph's home again. :)

This is a very nice cottage-style two-level, single family home, with a finished basement in which Airbnb guests would primarily reside. Lighting is great with four windows and a slider. Many amenities are included. There's lots to do in the surrounding areas of Grand Blanc, Holly, and Flint. Detroit is just an hour south. I-75 is just a couple minutes away.
This is a fully finished and furnished basement with 1 bedroom (queen bed), walk-in closet, full bath, patio and fireplace, living space with 65 inch television and DirecTV. There is a kitchen and laundry room upstairs, which would be shared with the owners.
The neighborhood is great! This house is on a quiet cul de sac, with a fair bit of privacy in the back yard.
  • Michael was an awesome host, and the house has great designed concepts with smart technologies. Highly recommend it! Thank you, Michael!

    Shan2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was an awesome host! The house is beautiful, nice neighborhood, and private. HUGE curved tv in our quarters, very chill spot I would definitely recommend to friends. Close to town and great restaurants, and shopping. Immaculate, nice private bathroom, private entry. Couldn't have asked for anything more! Thanks again Michael!

    Laine2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, stylish and private space. Spacious with a walk in closet, new appliances and was great for my extended stay. I felt at home.

  • Michael was a superb host. He greeted us and made us feel right at home. Our request was short notice but he was able to accommodate our request. His home was spotless clean. A peaceful secluded residence that was close to the highway and restaurants. His home was pleasantly cozy. We enjoyed the walkout patio area to catch fresh air. Darts and shuffle board was a fun time. Very very comfortable and we will be happy to utilize Michael’s place again. Thanks for hosting us!!!

    Graylin2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's house is beautiful and he is a great host! He even helped toast our bagels in the morning when we were running late. Definitely recommend!

    Lori2017-08-26T00:00:00Z

Trim Pines is what our family and friends call a little piece of heaven. Lower one room walk-out is perfect for 1 to 2 people for a one night get-away or an extended stay. This tranquil setting located 8 miles from I-75 in Davisburg.
This space has a separate entrance and is shared with the main house. The living space is cozy and comfortable for 1 to 2 people and is located in the lower living area of our modest log home. Although the space is small, it has many amenities. The bed is queen size. The bathroom has a stall shower. The kitchen area is complete with Kurig coffee maker, full size refrigerator, microwave and stove along with basic cooking utensils. A ceiling fan, gas fireplace and flat screen television are available for use as well as a counter height bar with 3 stools for eating / work space. There is uncovered parking available behind the house.
We love the peace and tranquility we experience living in a log house on 15 acres. It is situated well off the main road. We do not live in a neighborhood, but we do have friendly neighbors nearby. FYI: We have a barn that is home to Piper the Pony and Sterling the miniature horse. They are often in the pastures along the woods. Our mini Australian Shepard Roxy will be out and about when we are doing chores. You may catch a glimpse of Pumpkin and Tango, our barn cats. We are fortunate to be able to enjoy an abundance of wildlife: birds, deer, ducks, geese, sand hill cranes, and turkeys, to name a few.
  • Tracey was super sweet, greeted me and my partner as soon as we got there, the house was spotless and everything we expected and more. Beautiful scenery in the backyard. Very affordable and worth every penny!

    Briana2017-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place! It definitely feels like a cabin! Very cozy and cute. The decor was lovely. It snowed that night which made the morning view lovely! Tracey had ALL the nice touches! I snuggled up with a warm cozy extra blanket she had available. Definitely would stay there again!!

    Maria2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • The properties so beautiful and tranquil. We truly enjoyed our stay!

    Margo2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying with Tracey out in Springfield Township. Tracey was always responsive while we were booking. She was very helpful and flexible with us during check-in. She was very friendly and had a lot of great information about that area to share. And she took some time out of her day to let us meet Shelton and Piper (their mini-horse and pony). The room is very well setup and feels like a little cottage. It is setup like a full suite with all of your own areas. The fireplace was great for the ambiance and for managing our own temperature. There is a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, stove, and coffeemaker as well as a few small snacks left for us to have. The only comment on the bathroom is that the shower stall is a bit cozy with a low showered, but more than functional and clean. The only other couple things to note... You can definitely hear people walking around upstairs and when they are leaving for the garage. It wasn't an issue for us, but something that you do notice. This place is very rural. We were looking for a bit of a get-away and to check out the north side of Detroit, so it was great for us, but there are not a lot of things in the immediate area. This was a great Airbnb experience for us. We would definitely stay with Tracey again!!

    Brian2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Having this very warm, affordable & peaceful place to stay allowed us to enjoy our friends and family for an entire 3 weeks without us wearing out or welcome or having to move around from place to place....Tracey anticipated any needs we had while allowing us to feel totally comfortable as we were coming and going since they have a perfect private entrance, parking & outside patio area for us. Tracey & Jeff were available to answer any questions via text. Gracious and caring hosts....this was our first Airbnb experience and will most certainly not be our last.

    Marietta2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A truly wonderful place to stay and wonderful hosts as well. I stayed here for an extended period of time while I transitioned from Florida to Michigan and Tracey was very flexible in letting me extend my stay until I closed on my home. It was also great waking up and seeing the deer, turkey, and flowers out the back door as I enjoyed my morning coffee.

    John2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nice to have a separate entry and being downstairs. Beautiful property and surroundings. A great place for just two people!

    Rebecca2017-08-15T00:00:00Z

Old Town Village - Neighborhood homes are very well kept and restored. Yards are nice, local traffic only. Walking distance to many wonderful things, evenings you can hear the marching band practicing from the school district down the road.
  • We really enjoyed our stay! The home is beautiful, the hosts are very inviting and we had everything we needed. From the comfortable beds to a hot shower in the super clean bathroom and hanging out with my daughter watching a Hallmark movie in the tastefully decorated sitting room, we loved the place and will return again when we have business on that side of the state.

    Sherry2017-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • I’ll keep this simple. Jim & Debbi are top notch. Solid A+ hosts and humans. We stayed in the Sawyer room which was quiet and cozy for two. You’d be absolutely bonkers to come to Grand Blanc and not stay with Jim & Debbi. Can’t wait to come back!

    Cassidy2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This will be one of your best ever bnb experiences. Change your itinerary! Reroute your gps! But whatever you do, pass through Grand Blanc and stay with Jim and Debbi. Mike L (Phoenix)

    Mike2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Debbi were awesome hosts. We definitely felt at home. The rooms were comfortable and Jim made smoked ribs and venison stew which were out of this world yummy. Being fairly new to the bnb biz, they were attentive and always asking for feedback. We found Grand Blanc to be a good central location for everything we were planning to do. Jim has a number of stories to share as well and kept us entertained. They even surprised my sister with a birthday cake from the local European bakery! Would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a place to stay in the area.

    wendy2017-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful time spent with Jim, Debbi, and their two adorable Bouviers Prince and Kiki. The home has a tremendous energy and atmosphere with the old Victorian architecture and art. I stayed in the Sawyer room and I loved all the little touches they had in the room like a noise machine to help give ambience, tv, Netflix, an old school style key to lock the room, and more. I highly recommend anyone who wants to come visit Grand Blanc or it’s surrounding areas to stay with Jim & Debbi - not only were they incredibly warm and welcoming but their hospitality is so graciously palpable it feels like a second home right away. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back soon!

  • Jim and Debbie's home is beautiful. No detail has been overlooked - from the weathered wood porch swing out on their wrap-around porch, to the intricate arranging of family photos and art on the way up the stairs. This place is amazing. The hosts are not only friendly and warm (which they are in spades) but they are truly interested in their guests and are continuously excited to provide them with a comfortable stay. We were provided with breakfast in the morning, fridge space, basically a free roam of the house, not to mention the cute bathroom amenities that waited for us in room specific baskets. I will also say this house, although in a nice quiet residential neighborhood, is one block away from Saginaw st, which boasts a bunch of commerce - super convenient. Can't to stay with them again.

    Misty2018-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, friendly, charming, clean and easily the best Airbnb hosts I’ve encountered so far.

    Raunak2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great in a very nice and safe neighborhood, so close to places to eat, drink and shop. The house is nicely decorated and includes all the necessities for a wonderful stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Jim and Debbi were very nice, responsive and helpful. They were available whenever I needed, and yet respected my privacy. I felt like I was living between my family. I was having a job interview at Hurley Medical Center and I was late, Jim offered me a ride to the center and helped me to make it on time. I would definitely stay here again next time I will be in Flint... Without any hesitation, I highly recommend this place, and Jim and Debbi as a host.

    Bashar2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Debbi's place is an excellent choice for anyone looking to stay short or long term. Both of them welcomed me, a stranger, into their home for a few days and treated me like family. They had all the necessities and more, including breakfast, lunch and homemade dinner. Not only were they welcoming but they are a delight to talk to. The room i stayed in was clean and comfortable and the bathroom and all other necessities were taken care of by Jim and Debbi. They respect your privacy while you are there however they are very friendly and easy to talk to so its very easy if you ever feel like striking a conversation. I would definitely stay at their place again if i'm ever back in grand blanc, much better than staying in any hotel!

    Saad2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t begin to explain the amount of energy Jim and Debbie have! From the moment you meet them, Debbie will have an amazing smile to welcome you while Jim will have a joke to lighten your day and together they will both make your stay memorable. You have the liberty to have a private stay if you choose to or you can indulge in friendly conversations and movie nights with them! Jim and Debbie not only took care of any concerns I had, they were kind and warm, and made me feel like family. I had amazing conversations about Hunting, movies, cars and food with them. Jim is an amazing cook and offered me some venison which was out of this world! We went out for dinners together and he even went the distance to drop me to my interviews and anyplace I needed to be. The bed is very comfortable and bathroom is sparkling clean. The continental breakfast is an added advantage and its available till 10:00 a.m. They will even provide you with bacon and eggs if you are funny enough! They also have two well-trained, friendly dogs who are a joy to be with. The dogs are restricted to the living room, so if you are someone who does not want to interact with the dogs you will never see them. Grand Blanc is a very safe, wonderful neighborhood which is close to a lot of restaurants and pubs. I came to Flint with the aim to just attend my interview and go back, but in the process I have found two amazing friends in Jim and Debbie. I am thankful to Airbnb for introducing me to them and to Jim and Debbie for opening their house to us. Trust me guys, whatever price its offered for, it’s still cheap compared to the hospitality and services they provide. I have been using Airbnb for more than a year and this has definitely been my most amazing stay so far. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in/ around Flint.

An up north get away, without the up north drive. Cozy little 2 bedroom lake house in a quaint little town. This waterfront little cabin is a true home away from home! Winter brings ice fishing, snowmobiles on the lake, ice rinks for skating or hockey. There are two ski-lodges within miles! Come play on the lake or just come snuggle up by the fire with some hot chocolate!
There are three Ski lodge's 35 minutes and less. We are located less than an hour from Birch Run, Huckleberry Railroad, Frankenmuth, Lego Land, Sea Life Aquarium and Canterbury Village and The Detroit Zoo. We are just over an hour from The Little Caesar’s Arena, The Fox theater and Comerica Park. There are surrounding bike trails and state parks for hiking and hunting. Several nearby bars and restaurants and a 24 hour grocery store. Just 14 miles from Great Lakes Crossing outlet shopping center. A true home away from home!
Lake living is the best! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly.
  • This is such a wonderful place. It is exactly as stated. Clean, affordable, quiet, and beautiful. Pam was the perfect hostess. This is a home away from home. Thank you.

  • This was a gorgeous, cozy, and relaxing property! Pam was incredibly accomodating and flexible, and stellar with communication. I would stay here again.

    Noor2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Somewhat rustic, but very clean! We cook more than eat out, so a little more options in pots/pans would've been helpful. If I had told her, Pam would probably have brought some over. Pam is very quick to respond. We were not on vacation so even though the lake was frozen unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of ice fishing or ice skating, but that would have been fun.

  • Great place for the value. Cozy setting great for relaxing at the end of the night.

    Scott2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Pam was the most amazing host, checking in on us to make sure we made it and were comfortable including my kids. Can’t thank her enough for her amazing hospitality and opening her cozy home.

    Taralyn2018-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this property over the Christmas holiday. When we arrived we found a small tree (amongst other decorations) with A PRESENT left under the tree for my 4 person family. It was a wonderful surprise! The home was clean and well equipped with extras in place in case we needed them. It's small, but very cozy and offered PLENTY of space for the 4 of us, including and extra air mattress in the second room. We had a brief hiccup with the water in the house on Christmas Eve but Pam was on top of it, even on a holiday. Everything was fixed and up and running in just a couple of hours. Overall, it was a great stay during a very cold and snowy trip back home. Thank you!

  • Our family had the most amazing stay at Tammy's beautiful farm home! It was a perfect (and spacious) getaway for our family reunion in Michigan, and after 9+ hours on the road with travelers from New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania and California, we were not disappointed! We loved the cozy front porch, HOT TUB, and delightful visits with baby goats, cows and Old Miss & Chester, resident barn cats. Next time we hope to enjoy the fire pit and kayaks (Website hidden by Airbnb) will have to be a longer stay! Thank you so much Tammy for being a gracious host in such a magical location.

    Mary Ann2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tammy was very responsive and flexible. She let us check in/check out as needed, was responsive to questions, and provided a thorough walk-through to the first person in the group. We did have young children stay with us (a one year old and two two year olds), and Tammy allowed them to stay, but I would suggest to anyone with young kids to understand that it is a quaint farmhouse, which isn't 'child-proofed' for those who are serious about this (despite the thoughtful additions, such as some kids toys), and the walls are quite thin for screaming babies. :-) The pictures at the time of the posting don't do house justice, so I encourage Tammy to update them! There were also homemade products to buy (goat milk soap, etc), so that was a cool and unique feature of this airbnb. THis is the host's primary home, so there are many homemade touches around to make it a very homey experience. Getting to the house in the dark can be slightly tricky, so make sure to get appropriate directions. While there were no goats (they had just been sold), we had fun visiting the cows and walking the property. Across the street (but in winter, a mile's drive), we went on a hike in the nature area. I imagine the kayaks would be great in the summer, as well a the cider mill (which was closed in the winter). Thanks Tammy!

Get unplugged and reconnect with family and friends. Rustic knotty pine cabin on Big Lake in Davisburg MI. Located near golf courses and county parks that offer summer and winter sports alike. Come enjoy the beautiful fall colors and relax by the bon fire while roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories! Or cozy up by the fireplace after a day of cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Two single-person kayaks are at your disposal, or bring your own watercraft to this all-sports lake.
My cabin is rustic and cozy but with comforts of home. Note, there is no TV or Internet. This is intentional. Bring slippers or warm socks. I have hardwood and marble floors and don't allow shoes on in the house.
  • The cabin on Rusty Lane was an absolute delight. It sits right on a lake with a lovely view from the main rooms and two of the three bedrooms. It comes with a fully stocked kitchen complete with spices, coffee, tea, and candy as well as all the cookware you could ever need from blender to crock pot. The place itself is very well appointed with plenty of seating and dining spaces but not over-the-top. It has a cabin-like feel throughout. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were private, and the fireplace stocked with dry firewood. The cabin is intentionally lacking the distractions of home like wifi and tv. We had a lovely fall weekend of family games by the fire, hearty meals, and a hike from the trail head located an easy 1/2 mile walk from house. Communication was simple and ongoing. I highly recommend Annmarie and her cabin on Rusty Lane.

  • We couldn't of been more pleased with Scott's hospitality and thoughtful touches. 6 Star all the way!

    Laura2017-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place is wonderful, close to major roads but surrounded by woods and next to a private lake. A huge living room with the best wood burning fireplace, big screen tv with DVD and surround sound, lovely bedroom, second smaller t.v. room, and a retro bathroom with a big walk in shower. Scott goes out of his way to be hospitable. We felt very welcomed. Definitely a welcoming place to return to.

  • Scott has a very beautiful place tucked away from city life. His home in is gorgeous and he is a great host. He has a dog and a friendly cat. You stay downstairs in his home, which has almost all the amenities of another smaller apartment. The area is quiet and perfect for just a peaceful getaway.

  • The stay was nice could have been a bit more updated. The hot water did not stay which caused my group of 8 to have to take longer and caused us to be late to our event but the location was great and the house was nice and clean.

  • We were very impressed when we arrived for a short vacation trip. The house is very cute, spacious, and well equipped. Our host, Mary, also greeted us with donuts from a local bakery which was very nice. Thank you Mary! We would love to come back in the future!

  • Great off the path, quiet get away. The property is well maintained and offers a great chance to get away from it all.

  • Just as described Lots of room beautiful views

    Dawn2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place was comfortable and spacious. The linens and towels were new & quality. We enjoyed the paddle board and paddle boat and sitting out on the deck. A suggestion would be for an outdoor table for a group and a larger table indoors. The living area fit all of us comfortably, and enough sleeping areas for our picky group.

    Cathy2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very clean and cozy! With the open floor plan, my large group was able to all be in the same room without being on top of each other. More than enough space and enough beds. There was even space in the basement to put air mattresses if needed. It was super fun to use the paddle board and paddle boat for water fun. Being on the lake and waking up to the sunrise was amazing. Mary even left us some donuts :) Great weekend!

Get away to this beautiful island retreat without driving hours north. This is a great place for families to make memories on all sports Lobdell Lake. Includes use of new pontoon boat.
  • What a wonderful weekend we had at Dan's island retreat! The home was immaculate and so warm and comfortable. I drove up from Kansas with my mom and dad to visit family in the area and took a chance and booked here -- what a great decision! It felt like we were staying at a friend's lake house for the weekend - not like a rental at all. The views are spectacular and it was so lovely sitting out on the awesome decks at both the front and back of the home. The pontoon was very nice and it was an easy trip back and forth from the island to the dock where our car was when we wanted to go visit family in the area. Dan was a very gracious host- he was just a text or call away if we had questions or needed anything-- which we didn't -- but I felt comfortable and at ease knowing that he truly wanted us to enjoy our stay at his family home. I would recommend staying here to anyone as you will definitely be pleased! It would be wonderful for a family looking to get away and enjoy the lake, or for couples, or even a girls' weekend of enjoying the water and sunshine on the decks. So fun!

    Nicole2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • PERFECT STAY. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. DANIEL IS AN OUTSTANDING GUY AND IF YOU ARE EVEN THINKING ABOUT BOOKING DONT. JUST DO IT. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED

    Kyle2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Dan quickly responded to my numerous questions, as we prepared for our visit. Once there, his lakeside home had every comfort and was well-stocked for our vacation needs. Additionally, there was a spacious deck on both sides of the home – one to watch the sunrise and one to watch the sunset! Fishing & swimming access were readily available from the home, with the added option to use Dan's canoe or pontoon boat to cruise around the lake. This prime location allowed us to enjoy the numerous 4th of July music & firework activities occurring around the lake (oftentimes from the comfort of the hot tub!). Truly a great space to relax & recharge!

    bill2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The views are great, sunrise on one side, sunset on the other side! Hot tub was fabulous with a new pontoon to tool around the lake. Fishing was great as well.

    Deborah2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • After our original MDW house rental fell through my husband and I were scrambling to find a house that would fit us, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, that allowed dogs and had a boat. Thank god we found Dan's place because it was truly one of the most relaxing weekends any of us had in a while! As soon as we got to Dan's we were so happy that our other rental fell through because this was a slice of heaven only an hour from our house. Coordinating with Dan was a breeze and he was available by text throughout the weekend if we had any questions. The place was extremely clean and exactly what you think of a cottage looking like. The two decks were amazing - one for sunrise, one for sunset. Since the house is on an island, there are views of the lake out of every window in the house. We spent a ton of time on the pontoon checking out the lake and the houses on it, as well as fishing, swimming and just floating. At night we hung out in the hot tub and played cards on the deck. We would recommend Dan's to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend on a beautiful lake in a cozy cottage. We wish we had rented the place for an entire week! We will be back! Also - there is a convenience store, ice cream & pizza store and bar/restaurant accessible by boat.

    kathryn2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for a long weekend. The pontoon was in great shape. The house was not far from parking. Very relaxing and the scenery was so beautiful. The house had everything we needed to just relax and enjoy. We only wish we would have booked for a whole week, we hated to leave the island! Thanks Daniel, we'll be back!

    Beverly2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! If you have an opportunity to stay at Daniel's cabin just take the time to do so. It is a lovely location with great views all around.

    Kyle2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • If your staying in michigan this is a gem close to everything but on an island just far enough away Stayed here for our first wedding anniversary and glad we did what a beautiful view from either side great running pontoon all the amenities of a Lakehouse life vests fishing rods burn pit with wood not to mention the jacuzzi on the back porch with a gazebo and Grill while the overhead children's Loft an spare room had more than enough activities to keep my 3yr old son busy I would highly recommend this Airbnb location
