Set in a picturesque, Oxfordshire village, our luxurious garden annexe, with large en-suite bathroom and Super Kingsize bed, is a true haven in Hethe. Feast on fabulous food & wine, just across the road, at Gastro pub 'The Muddy Duck'. Great shopping is available, just 4 miles away, at the world famous 'Bicester Village Outlet'. While, Bicester North and Bicester Village train stations, will whizz you to and from London, within the hour. We look forward to meeting you soon! See photos...
All furnishings and products used in our annexe are of exceptional quality, with lots of little luxuries you would find, in a stylish and unique, boutique hotel. With its own private entrance, it gives our guests the perfect amount of privacy to come and go as they please. Please note that there are some low beams and a slanting ceiling in the annexe. (please refer to photos )
Hethe is a typically quaint English village with plenty of beautiful walks. To be woken up to the sound of birds singing and horses hooves trotting past is one of the reasons we moved here. We are very fortunate that in our pretty little village we boast one of Oxfordshire's finest gastro pubs, serving fabulous freshly prepared gourmet food. In summer months, food can be eaten in the gardens or on the beautiful terrace. Though only a stones throw from our house, noise is rarely an issue. Hethe is ideally located, with easy access to J9 or J10 of the M40. A 15 minute drive away from Silverstone race track, 4 miles to the infamous 'Bicester Village Outlet" retail park and an easy drive to some of England's most fantastic National Trust houses and gardens.
  • Lovely night away close to Bicester. Amazingg food at the Muddy Duck. The breakfasts was super tasty and lovely selection. The bed and pillows are very comfortable as well as the large shower. Nice little touches such as dressing gown. cotton pads and stocked fridge. Nice having Sky available too.

  • Beahtiful little lodge with its own side entrance. Everything has been thought of and to a high standard. Loved the 'duck!' sign on the beams. All adds to the experience. Jayne was very responsive and helpful with our needs.

  • The Dozing Duck is simply stunning, everything about the place makes you feel warm and cosy. Jayne is a fantastic host with great communication and hospitality. The breakfast was awesome and overall we couldn't of had a better stay. If you're staying here do pop over to The Muddy Duck, the food was divine & service phenomenal!

  • Fantastic accommodation is a beautiful village

    Gary2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was booked as present for my partners birthday. Even though the photos look stunning they do not do this place justice. Jayne is superb host and was very helpful with information and the breakfast was to die for, would recommend this to anyone especially with Bicester shopping village only a very short drive away.

    Sam2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay, lovely breakfast too

    Matt2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The thoughtful touches and finishings that make this place such a great experience can’t be captured by photos! So snug and warm, amazing bed, a bathroom that felt like a resort, and of course the amazing Muddy Duck pub across the road for a memorable meal. Jayne dropping off breakfast for us to have in bed the next morning really topped off a luxurious experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting a romantic escape. Thank you!!

  • Perfect house for a big group of friends/family. It is well set up for a weekend of retreat. Lots of bed space, a cosy living room and spacious kitchen that could seat 20. The decor is a little eccentric, but enjoyably so! We went in Feb and some of the downstairs communal rooms could be a bit chilly, but nothing that the fireplace couldn’t sort. Great host, very communicative.

  • Stayed here in September 2019. 13 males who wanted a base for a cycling tour. The house and grounds were ideal for us. Great space, fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, enough seperate comfy beds with clean linen and towels. We used the local pub on one night and then went into Brackley for another. It all worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this house for a large group to chill out and relax. Excellent communication from the time of booking right up to the day of arrival too.

Ann is clear with her guests, as to what she expects from them, I really appreciated that. My room was clean and comfortable, Ann met me to show me around and there was an offer of cereal for breakfast if I should need it. Ann made a private bathroom available for me which was a lovely touch, as I had never stayed in an airbnb before and was travelling alone. Thank You Ann for an excellent first experience with Airbnb.

The cottage is a small but perfectly formed cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds. For those who love the outdoors there are miles and miles of walks straight from the front door. The cottage is decorated in a traditional english design, with beamed ceilings, and wood burning stove in the living room. There are two bedrooms: both with double beds. They share the family bathroom with a bath and power shower. There is also a TV, as well as free wifi. Out the back of the cottage is a private garden which backs on to open fields. The garden includes a table and chairs and a BBQ area, should the weather be nice. There is also a large herb patch for you to use if you decide to cook. There are several fantastic local pubs in the area - the local Blackbird Inn is a short walk away and serves delicious food and local ales. Further afield is the Fox at Souldern, which is a lovely country walk or a short drive away
Juniper Cottage is located in the heart of Croughton, which is a small and historic village. The local Co-operative has a good food and drink range, and there are large supermarkets locally in the town of Brackley.

  • The key for the room is located at the pub bar, a lovely village pub. The staff working there are absolutely lovely, very smiley and friendly, we were given a warm welcome. It was Valentines Day so we we offered a menu to come back that evening to eat. Couldn’t fault the staff, service and atmosphere. The room and bathroom were ample for what we needed and situated along with a few other rooms in what I believe are converted stables. There was parking at the back of the pub which was very close to the room . Despite the awful rain and wind outside we slept well! Would stay again. Thank you.

  • Swallows cottage is a cosy but modern and well equipped cottage in a working farm. The hosts were amazing, we had a warm welcome from Jeff, a lovely welcome hamper including eggs from their own hens and both Liz and Jeff would give us little tips regarding where to go nearby for lunch or things to do in the area. It's a countryside haven, you don't even hear any noise from the main road, just lots of sheep and lambs sounds which were really relaxing! The cottage itself is very clean and well equipped- the kitchen has everything you need to cook, the bathroom has some lovely toiletries and the storage space in the bedroom is ample for a long weekend. Thank you Liz and Jeff and we hope to return to Elm Tree Farm soon!

  • We spent a last minute weekend break at Liz's cottage, and it is a really cute place. Liz was so helpful and provided a toddler mattress and toys for my son. The cottage was really clean, with a vase of fresh flowers. There are animals in the surrounding fields, and a play area for kids. A really lovely short break, not too far from London (and close to Bicester Village for some shopping!).

We have a pot boiler and a removable bed that is a single bed that can be pulled out to be a double. • Edward and Lucie were lovely hosts and welcomed us in with a cup of tea and some home made slow gin. They were very friendly and chatty and offered great suggestions for places to eat and drink. The caravan was great and Edward made sure we had a heated and an electric blanket so we did not get too cold. Would definitely recommend!

    Rabbie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Arriving at tiny house I was greeted by Lucie and their friendly dogs. Lucie gave me all the instructions, information needed and directions to Aynhoe Park House ( just 2 mins walk) where I was attending a very smart birthday party that evening. Dispite the wind and rain, I slept like a log and was so snug with nice bedlinen and a very comfy bed. If you are looking for somewhere to lay your head for a night or two tiny house is just perfect and I would highly recommend.

  • Edward and co were amazing, they knew we were getting in late so gave us a full details of how to find it (with pictures!) and everything else we needed to know. Nothing was a stress, everything was sorted for us, and they were very quick to respond. Lovely hot shower in the morning too and they even offered a cup of coffee before we were on our way. Thanks again!

  • Totally unusual, charming place to stay. A lovely spot with a unique feel.

    Tan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Edward was very helpful in all matters, including knowledge of local places to eat, directions to find the caravan and making us feel welcome. The caravan was lovely and cosy and we enjoyed our overnight stay with our dog, despite the perpetual rain! Nothing was too much trouble for Edward and Lucie and they were very happy for us to come and go from the house as we pleased. Even though the bathroom facilities were a shared space it felt private yet comfortable.

    Anna2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous views, great value for money and it was such a comfortable stay. Loved the caravan and the check in details were so clear given we arrived late in the dark. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

  • Really lovely, quirky place to stay. Secluded and lots of fruit trees for scrumping. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Come equipped as not much within walking distance.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed in Ed and Lucie’s lovely caravan for one night - what a dream! We were very warmly received (both by them and their dog), and were made to feel very welcome! We had a field to ourselves for privacy but could pop in and out of their house for bits and pieces whenever we liked. I would 100% recommend for anyone to stay there (especially if you love very cute kids) - Lucie went above and beyond and dropped me to work the next day! Would go again :)

The kitchen has; a microwave, single electric hob, fridge, kettle and various other kitchen essentials! The shower room is cosy, with a loo, small handbasin and shower. Bacon, eggs, milk and bread were left in the fridge for us, which was a really nice touch. The shower is lovely and hot and the bed is very comfy. • We were absolutely stunned and blown away by the Hats Hut! The cutest and most romantic getaway! You really feel at one with the countryside when looking outside through the windows seeing the wilderness and pony from the comfort of the snuggly and cosy bed! The Hats hut, has everything you need whilst keeping the cosy personal touch! We will be back in the summer! You have to experience this place throughout the seasons! Great value for money and just perfect for a celebratory weekend!

Once the Duke of Bridgewater's 'Hunting Box' this lovely old Georgian building, opposite the National Trust Park in the heart of Brackley, is the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The town centre, with it's shops, pubs, restaurants and renowned antiques centre, is a short walk away. Situated near good road and rail networks, London, Bicester Village, Warwick and Oxford are easily accessible. A good Full English breakfast is available for an extra £5.50 pppn. Dietary needs can be catered for.
The guest suite comprises: a large master double bedroom (which has a host of original Georgian features including maid’s bell and a fireplace sadly, both, no longer working) and a good sized ensuite shower room. If an extra bed is needed for a relative or child OR if there are two in your party and you don’t want to share a bed, we have a cosy single room available, (see pics) which is next to the master bedroom. Please note: Anyone using the single room will access the ensuite and refreshment facilities (day or night) of the master bedroom. We ask an extra £20 pppn for use of the single room. If the single room is required AS WELL AS the main double room (i.e. you have 3 people in your party OR there are just 2 of you NOT wanting to share the main double room with one double bed), PLEASE BOOK FOR 3 GUESTS at 'checkout' stage. This will then confirm to me, use of the single room in the booking details and you will be able to add the additional fee of £20pppn for that room to your payment. Thank you.
Brackley is a place of interest. It has one of the oldest chapels linked with Magdalen College Oxford and was once a wool trading market town. We have the well known Brackley Antique Cellar as seen on 'Antiques Road Trip' - a fabulous centre boasting 170 different dealers and a selection of shops including: a good book shop, Boots the Chemist, award winning Butcher and a lovely womens' clothing store. All are a short walk away. There are a number of pubs serving food, good restaurants including: Indian, Italian and Spanish Tapas and takeaways - fish & chips, pizza and Chinese, all within the town. Please ask for recommendations and details (i.e. phone numbers) prior to your visit so you can book somewhere for food...the restaurants do get busy! We are opposite the Town Park which boasts a lovely children's play area with access to the Old Fire Station Cafe.
  • A friendly welcome and a lovely comfortable space that is close to everything in Brackley.

    Joe2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal 'one-up, one-down' terraced cottage in quiet location opposite retirement home. Property was very clean and as described. Good-sized Waitrose and Tesco within strolling distance. From the cottage there is a pleasant circular walk to St.James Lake (Hinton Rd) and then through woodland along the course of the old railway line. Return by cutting through onto Banbury Rd to return to the cottage.

    Martyn2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic property - Peter has really put so much into the place it was an absolute pleasure staying there. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and really cool mezzanine-style layout, with the bedroom upstairs. The street the property is on is really quiet, with really nice neighbours - and only a 3 min walk to the high street . Having a Waitrose literally next door is a real treat. This really is a star property for a single traveller or a couple. Looking forward to staying again.

  • Wow - what a fantastic Airbnb! Tracey and Andre are the best hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them and they really looked after me during my stay. The room was great - very spacious and had everything you could possibly need included. The breakfast was wonderful - so many choices, and really set me up for the day. The house is spotlessly clean and in a great location. Close to a little town and great for getting on the motorway for commuting to work. I can't recommend Tracey & Andre highly enough and I will definitely be back again, and again! THANK YOU!!!
