  • The house was neat. There was plenty of room in the bedrooms with good closet space. Plenty of room to lounge in the living room. The woodwork on the banister is very nice. My father who has a woodshop commented on the period of the house and the woodwork! We liked it and would stay again if we needed too!

  • Rennie offered a very welcoming home. The value of the stay was unbeatable, and perfect for the independent sort

    Lee2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Simply put, we loved it. We were accommodated on last minute notice (other lodging fell through, and we are glad it did :). Place was clean, charming (warm and cheerful decor/colors) and it seems like rennie has thought of everything. Toys, books, cooking utensils, spices, movies, etc etc. All the things to make it feel like home. Great for us with two little ones and traveling over the holidays.

    Daniel2016-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much our stay was great.

    Nicki2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bright and sunny home with plenty of beds and ocean breeze cooled. Great location and the hot tub/outdoor area was great.

    Ryan2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here with our dog in late March. The town was very walk able and we were close to all restaurants and downtown Brunswick. The house is very outdated but wifi worked well. When we arrived the house did not appear to have been cleaned very well. The Hot tub was nice but had a lot of gravel in it and the filter was very dirty, I think the cleanliness may have more to do with the previous travelers and not the host. The host was very available and accommodating. If you are looking for an affordable place in Brunswick with room to accommodate a lot of people, I would recommend.

    Tess2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a girls weekend here and had a blast! Hot tub was nice and the place was so cute. Not much within walking distance but we spent most of our time in Freeport shopping and dining which is a short drive away. We will definitely be staying here again!

    Kate2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great walkable to downtown location. Cute home, nicely decorated. Feather beds were pretty comfortable. Thanks for a nice place to stay Rennie!

  • This is an fantastic place in great location. Stayed here for 3 nights with my fiance on our first trip to Maine. Excellent layout, privacy, decor and super clean. Everything is as described. Our stay was super comfortable and Simon communicated everything to make sure the entire experience was smooth and convenient. He even recommended a ton of places to check out which was very thoughtful and helpful. Great location in downtown Brunswick close enough to Portland, Freeport, Bath, Harpswell, etc to serve as a base to explore a large portion of Maine. This is a superb value as well and I highly recommend it.

  • I stayed at Simon and Sam’s Little House on Lincoln St. and I am so glad I did. The location was perfect and the place was even better than the pictures. It’s newly renovated and very clean. I was there for three nights and was able to visit a nice restaurant each night. Great area and so tranquil. I could recommend a better place. Book with confidence! Scott

Facing Brunswick across the river, Bowdoin College, ocean beaches, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, restaurants. Love how it is situated, among beautiful gardens, on the river. And the two room post and beam cottage, contemporary and antique furniture. New kitchenette, new bath. Two wonderful bedrooms. Deck, barbecue, picnic table. In historic district.
Just a short walk across the river from historic Brunswick, our cottage is quiet, on the river, and in the garden. And the Cottage itself and the amenities are unmatched in the area. A post and beam cottage built only a few years ago. Large screen television, WiFi, outdoor barbecue, raspberries for the picking, picnic table under the peach tree. Extraordinary beds, desk, full bath. Enjoy the luxury.
We live on a short street with just a few houses., along the river. It is an historic neighborhood, with some of the houses going back to the 1830's located right on the river.
  • It's a rare pleasure to stay in a place that has been the subject of so much love and care, let alone one with this location, and let alone one run by two utterly lovely, fascinating, hospitable people. I can't say enough good about this place...

    Jock2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Whether one is looking to stay near Brunswick, Maine, to see Bowdoin College, or as a stopover, this cottage is THE place to stay. Freeport is just a short drive away, and this property was very convenient to the colleges and highways in the area, but was tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. Chick and Ann are warm and welcoming hosts and know the area incredibly well. The cottage is well-equipped for a short or long stay. The furnishings are incredibly comfortable, and the owners provide everything one could need for a stay. Not only is the bathroom stocked with toiletries, they even stock the pantry and fridge with breakfast/snack foods! Our 6'2" son had a great night's sleep on the sofa bed - I even looked at the brand as I would buy the same sofa bed if I ever need one. The gardens were lovely and the waterfall provided a soothing white noise sound to put us to sleep. I was amazed to hear that the family built this cottage themselves, in 2 parts. This was a "tiny house" before such things were all the rage - though with the addition of the dedicated bedroom, it is not so tiny. The bathroom was a good design. There were plenty of outlets and unlike some airbnb's, there was a good-sized television in the bedroom. The decor was pleasant, and everything was well-designed and in working order. We only wish we could have chatted with our hosts some more, but we ended up on the go most of the time we were in Maine.

    Karen2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Riverfront Garden Cottage is superb! It is really charming, very comfy and the hosts have done a fantastic job with all the amenities they provide. An abundance of breakfast food was there for us, the kitchenette has everything you need and there are plenty of toiletries if you forget yours. But the biggest attraction is the site: overlooking the river, the soothing sound of the waterfall of the dam, and surrounded by lush greenery of the gardens. The cottage is very comfortable and it really is an easy walk over the bridge to all the fun shops, and restaurants near Bowdoin College in Brunswick. This compact cottage is done so well, you might wonder why we don't live like this all the time. I highly recommend this riverfront garden cottage and the hosts, both are lovely. Chick and Ann have led fascinating lives, and are interesting to talk with and very hospitable. You will love staying at their place.

    Nan2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our expectations were exactly what we envisioned. A tiny house in a garden setting. A very short walk to town shops and restaurants. The bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable for the 4 of us. Kitchen was nicely equipped with breakfast supplies. All the comforts of home, including a great morning walk in crisp air of Maine.

    Judy2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this charming little cabin. It has beautiful light and is situated in carefully tended gardens on the banks of the Androscoggin. Chick and Ann were as nice as nice can be. They stocked the kitchen with all manner of goodies for breakfast, left us fresh flowers, and made us very welcomed.

    John2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The most beautiful gardens, the cute cottage, the sound of the water - all made my stay so very peaceful & zen! Yet walkable to town:shops, restaurants, etc. Thank you Ann & Chick for sharing your little piece of heaven.

    michele2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful little cottage on the banks of the Androscoggin river. The hosts are welcoming and have created an outdoor area which you will enjoy. The compact Cottage has everything you will need for breakfast and lunch. You can also walk to serveral local restaurants.

Our "Little House", located in Mid-coast Maine, is close to Brunswick, Bowdoin College, scenic coastal Route One, the ocean, Bath, Harpswell (20 mins), Portland ( 30 mins) and Thomas Point beach. There are great restaurants and shops within walking distance. You’ll love our place because of the wonderful gardens, National Historic Landmark status, the coziness and comfort, and the great location. Great for couples and solo adventurers. Special pricing for long-term stays.
The Little House was built in 1795 and is part of a larger home, known as the Walker-Wilson house, which was completed in 1803 and became a stop on the Underground Railway. The first residents lived in the Little House while waiting for the larger house to be completed. Although it shares an entryway with our home, it is completely private. Today, the Little House retains all of its charm with the comfort of modern amenities. There is a living space on the first floor with a mini-kitchen (refrigerator, sink, cooktop and microwave) tucked into an alcove; a small table and chairs and a television. A daybed provides additional sleeping space. Upstairs, there is a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a private bath.
Our neighborhood, and home, are on the National Register of Historic Places and the neighborhood is filled with fine examples of Federal homes. Our home is one of several in Topsham that were important stations on the Underground Railway, housing slaves until they they could flee to Canada. We are within walking distance to Brunswick with it's shops and great restaurants.
  • The Little House is a wonderful way to experience a Maine visit! The house is beautiful, historical and has lovely amenities. It is very cozy and comfortable and easy to get to from downtown Brunswick and the area. Will definitely be back!

  • Our host met us as we drove up: Rebekah was so welcoming and warm. It was perfect for a place in Brunswick. If it hadn't been raining we would have definitely walked everywhere. The place was perfect for a couple. There was a great big screen TV and so after our activities we could come back and snuggle up in the warm apartment and watch TV.

    Ann2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rebekah and Matt are very communicative and friendly hosts. They keep the unit clean and neat. I liked the older charm of the place - which made me feel I was truly in the heart of a seaside community.

  • This is a beautiful house, very comfortable (2) bedrooms, the hosts are gracious and gave us good tips for food. The house is super clean and well kept, and yet feels like a home rather than an "ersatz" hotel. I can only recommend this highly. Also, the location near the college was perfect for us.

  • Dennis and Sue were absolutely wonderful hosts! Their place is in a quiet but central location, it is clean and homely, the beds are comfy, and guest get the upstairs area all to themselves. Sue even accompanied us to the lobster shack she recommended and showed us where to get blueberry ice cream afterwards. We had a great time and would definitely book again!

  • Dennis' place provided us with a quiet and peaceful stay. We arrived when Dennis was out for the evening, and directions were easy to follow to get into the house. Lots of thoughtful touches - snacks, bottled water, local guidebooks and brochures, small board games and extra towels. The location is easy to find and yet it's easy to get into Brunswick for restaurants and entertainment. Just what we were looking for! I'd stay here again for sure.

  • Wendy and Jeff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They are great people. The experience staying in the tiny cottage in nature was fun and unique; however, the pullout couch and air mattress could be upgraded - they were not very comfy to sleep on. Make sure you bring enough food and water for your stay - there is a little fridge that keeps things moderately cold and there is an awesome new BBQ for grilling your supper. Also ensure you bring enough warm clothes. The days were beautifully warm and sunny, but it can get chilly at night!

    Ally2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful escape! My husband and I spent two nights on Birch Island and enjoyed every minute. Wendy and Jeff were amazingly hospitable -- picking us up and dropping us off at convenient times. We were ready with most of our camping gear, much of which we didn't need given how well-stocked and complete the collection of goodies were at the site. There is plenty to do, and Jeff and Wendy have set up the place with adventure in mind. They forged an incredible trail along Duck Cove (marked with pink flamingos) to an overlook rock, which also doubles as a great place to swim on warm days. We also completed the rest of the Cross Island Trail (orange blazes), which traverses the island west to east. Along the east side, there are also red/pink blazes that take you to a beach at the NE corner of the island. Not all of this is well-traveled, but worth the pursuit. Our favorite adventure was circumnavigating the island by kayak, with a stop for icecream at the marina (s'mores icecream was our favorite!). This is possible if you time your trip with the tide and don't take a leisurely paddle (a 2.25 hour trip for us). We loved our stay and highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure!

    Megan2017-07-22T00:00:00Z

  • Get away from. EVERYTHING including kids on phones and work emails, and distractions that get in the way of being with family and nature. Kayak after a. leisurely brunch, hike in the afternoon and play card games by the campfire. We will be back.sp say our Huck Finn 13 year olds.

Experience the Maine coast while staying at a light-filled quiet Harpswell studio get-away just steps from the shorefront. Exploring Maine's beautiful beaches and trails, dining at fine restaurants and cafes, kayaking and sailing are just a few ways to experience mid-coast Maine.
The newly built studio is separate from main house located over a new garage features: queen bed, kitchenette with gas stovetop and small electric oven, mini-fridge, full bath with tile floor, futon couch, and wood floors. ~Deeded access to the tidal waterfront ~Dogs are welcome ~located on a cul-de-sac on 4.5 acres of woods. ~Facing east: Sun and moon rise over the water. ~beaches a short drive away.
    Very quiet dog friendly neighborhood.
  • We were delighted to find a most comfortable bed. Also appreciated the French press coffee maker. The quiet ceiling fan and very quiet standing floor fan were perfect for the warm days.

  • Martha was a lovely hostess and quite personable. The room above a 2 car garage appeared to be brand new. Impeccably clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and the skylights added welcome extra light in the room. The kitchen was well supplied with pots/pans and dishes. There was also a mini fridge and a full size stove. Breakfast was not provided but was not expected either. A chilled bottle of white wine was waiting for us on arrival. Her house is located in a woodsy area a short walk to the dock and open water on a rocky shore. It's a perfect place to get away from it all, but still have Brunswick and Bath just minutes away.

    Laura2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful find! It's very contemporary, uncluttered and thoughtfully designed. It's quite attractive - feels like you are in a private nest in the woods. Martha is friendly and helpful - especially loved the freshly ground coffee. We will definitely go back and highly recommend it.

    Gail2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Martha's studio is newly-renovated and was incredibly comfortable for a couple with a 10-month-old baby. ..though it would be equally comfortable for those traveling without a baby. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the location, or the tastefulness of the studio space itself. In truth, Martha could charge quite a bit a more if she wanted to. Martha was a generous and attentive host as well. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, and fresh coffee grounds and a French press for us to use in the studio in the morning. If you're looking for quiet AND comfort, you've found your place. Quite frankly, it's a place I wish I owned.

  • The artist's loft proved to be the perfect accommodation for our weekend getaway. It was nestled on one of Maine's tiny islands, teeming with large trees and foliage. There is a small private dock a short walking distance, which extends onto the local river. Brunswick is a 15 minute drive and Freeport approximately 30 minute drive. There is plenty of hiking nearby, cute shops and larger outlets, and delicious seafood restaurants. Martha was an amazing and welcoming host, providing excellent communication prior to our visit and check in. She is incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, taking obvious care and attention to her guests and to her beautiful property. She even surprised us with a bottle of wine and organic half-and-half to go with the ground coffee she provided (which was delicious!!). The artist's loft, in and of itself, is a work of art. It is newly renovated with multiple skylights for a sun-filled room, finished wood floors, a comfy queen-size bed with soft linens, and piece's of Martha's delightful landscape art which provided a serene ambience. The kitchenette includes microwave, stovetop, oven, and a mini-fridge. Additionally, Martha allows pets and we were able to bring our pup, which increased our enjoyment of the trip even that much more. One of the highlights was spending a night grilling hamburgers and having Martha join us for food and conversation. She is a lovely person, and very creative and generous of spirit. I'm already looking forward to the next adventure at Martha's peaceful loft.

  • This was our first Airbnb and we absolutely loved it! Diana was so welcoming, her place very nice, comfortable and close walking distance to everything you need. We would highly recommend a stay here - wish we had booked more than one night!

  • Diana was a welcoming, wonderful host! Her home is simply beautiful and the space was extraordinary. You have your own entrance and complete privacy. There's a living room, sun room (with lovely daybed), a huge bedroom and a beautifully appointed space with small frig, and coffee maker. Diana provided everything you could possibly need, including bottled water, dishes, shampoo and even a lint roller! The bed was so comfortable and the linens and towels were luxurious. The space was spotless! Location is ideal, a short walking distance to the quaint town and to Bowdoin College. If you have a student at Bowdoin, book this now for Parents Weekend and graduation! It's a steal and so much more pleasant and homey than a hotel. We give it FIVE STARS!

  • Diana was so kind and attentive to our late arrival and stay. She made our first experience with Airbnb truly unbeatable. Her home is charming, colorfully and harmoniously decorated and very clean. The bedroom is large and the bed was so comfortable as well. Diana provides all the amenities any guest might need to make their stay a five star visit.

  • This must be my 16th AirBnB experience, and Diana's home was one of the best. The house is located in the historic block of Brunswick and everything is within walking distance. We had a beautiful bedroom with a king size bed, our own living room, breakfast room, and bathroom. Amenities were amazing: Keurig coffee machine, tea pot, silver wares, high quality soaps, shampoos, and every possible attention to details. Oh, the yard is full of flowers! Diana's explanation of the facilities and neighborhood was efficient. This is a rare find. I would use her room definitely next time.

  • Diana was so helpful as we prepared for the trip. She called in advance to arrange the key since we were getting in a bit late. The rooms were just as described. We loved sitting in the sun room and getting some quiet time reading. The bed was so comfortable! I can't stop raving about our trip to Maine and in large part due to Diana's hospitality. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Cute and comfortable, 5 min. walk to restaurants, fast food, coffee shop, groceries and shopping centers. Also, bowling alley, miniature golf, driving range and cinema. Minutes by car to The Brunswick Executive Airport Downtown Brunswick Bowdoin College Maine State Music Theater Mid Coast Hospital Bailey Island Historic town of Bath
There is a full size kitchen with everything needed for cooking that fine meal. The living room is spacious, with a very comfortable couch and two recliners for relaxing after that fine meal. In the bathroom, there is a stacked washer and dryer for small loads. The two bedrooms have very comfortable full queen mattresses. The whole living area comfortably fits four adults and two children.
The house is located on a main street so, there is the usual sound of traffic but by 5:00 pm this quiets down quite a bit. Out behind the the house, a train passes by one or two times only during the day. Within walking distance or a short drive, there are a good number of restaurants, shops and entertainment.
  • This house is small, and in a quirky location, but it has a very comfortable feel and all the amenities needed. It was perfect for my 85-year-old father, who needed a single-level place that was easy to get around. We didn't meet the hosts, but we were greeted with lovely notes and gifts left on the kitchen table. The location in Bath was convenient to everywhere we wanted to travel in the area. The house is on a main street, so you should be prepared for some traffic noise. There are railroad tracks behind the house, but we never heard any trains. For the price of a hotel room, we had a whole home. This was my first Airbnb experience, and due to Peter, I will definitely use this service again. Peter did a great job of making us feel welcome and well taken care of.

They were ready for us when we arrived, were very willing to give us information on the place and the surrounding areas and made sure our stay was as pleasant as can be. I'll definitely look for them next time I'm in the area! Two thumbs up! ———— El lugar está muy bien ubicado, la casa es muy bonita y cómoda y me gustó mucho la decoración. matthew2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning views and a farmhouse to match. Open yard for BBQing and sitting on the porch overlooking rolling hills. We didn't fully read the page and didn't realize there was the separated apartment, but Colin didn't impose and it was like they weren't there. Couldn't have imagined a better stay, thank you!

    Peter2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Colin was fantastic to work with - he was polite, responsive and provided great advice on local activities (we loved his idea of hiking in Wolfes Neck State Park). The house was well kept, clean and tidy. The kitchen was large and perfect for preparing meals (all necessary pots, pans and utensils provided). The views from the surrounding area were also great - we loved watching the sunrise while sipping coffee on the wrap around porch. Would absolutely recommend this location.

    Michael2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • House was lovely and exactly as described! The location was perfect for exploring Brunswick and was an easy drive to Freeport. Clean, spacious, and welcoming, this house was perfect for our needs. Would definitely return!!

    Melissa2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The entire experience was seamless and easy from the start, just like Maine itself. We never met but Colin was super friendly and accommodating in our communications before, during and after. The home is very clean, well lit with natural light because of so many windows, spacious. The location was great for our needs as it's just a 10 minute drive just about anywhere you want to go - 295 S (to Portland), shopping in Freeport, hiking in Wolfe's Neck Park, island hopping from Harpswell to Orr to Bailey, etc. We didn't cook on this visit because we were on the go, but the kitchen with it's high end gear screams for family dinners. One of our favorite memories will always be the clean breeze constantly blowing through the house when we opened all of the windows. Since it's elevated and surrounded by fields, the air envelops and permeates the home and brings so much comfort. We've been to Maine the past 5 summers and would definitely return to Colin's place.

  • Centrally located house within Brunswick. Tamara was easy to coordinate with and very accommodating to me and my guests.

    Jeremiah2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tamara was a wonderful host! I had the chance to meet her personally when we arrived. She was super nice and helpful during our stay. The house was perfect! All basic needs covered and very clean! Extra towels and kitchen fully equipped. Wifi worked great too (important to us bc we traveled with our 3 teenage children). Walking distance to Bowdoin College and Maine Street where you find all kind of shops and restaurants. Also walking distance to train station with service to Boston. Quiet neighborhood.

Enjoy this private, colorful and comfortable sleeping quarters. So close to Rt. 1 and yet very serene. Lounge, relax, hike, bike, play, bird watch or reflect as you plan your bigger Maine adventure. USE US AS YOUR HOME BASE for day trips. Our reviews highlight the wealth of chances to chill, trek, explore, play, chat, reflect, connect, hide, etc. with log home near to meet eating and bathing needs. Enjoy!
Make the short daily escape to your ISLAND WOODS RETREAT after enjoying the abundance of Midcoast activities so close by. The comfortable queen and double will support your needed slumber. Wooded surroundings and cool bay breezes feel tropical while you decompress or rev up for exploring. So, curiosity seeker, you are in for a treat! This former ice cream parlor is colorful, rustic, quaint and unique. You can't help but imagine it in its earlier life as a treat vending wagon as you sit at the counter or overstuffed chair and take in the woods, wildlife and scents of the sea. Your memories become part of the fiber as you chime in on the guest comments mural within. Lounge in the cushy queen bed or on the futon sofa with a good book, stealing glances of a playful squirrel or enjoying a summer breeze floating in from the bay next door. Many windows invite light while trees create shade and cool air. Outdoor bathroom and hot outdoor shower nearby. Come on up to host's five bedroom log home just a handful of steps away for cooking, indoor bath and shower options, a board game, bird watching on the lovely porch, and good conversation. Choose to stay in your tiny home base and read or reflect if that is your goal, too. Many have loved the wildlife evening sounds nearby and even a "firefly" walk by the light of the moon up trails next door.
We are not in the middle of the Kennebec River as the map may show. Our home is on a beautiful island nestled between two rivers and hugging the mainland of southern Lincoln County just minutes from the hullaballo of midcoast Maine activity. The property is very woodsy and abutts 100 acres of woods and some trails. We often hear owls, see deer or a passing flock of turkeys, admire an abundance of endangered lady slippers and nibble blueberries in July. Everyday we are just a short and scenic walk to the river where tidal waters when low offer exploration of pools and beach area.
  • We had a perfect stay at this lil tiny home. Cary was a wonderful hostess, just above and beyond with muffins in the morning and a fire pit going at night. We hope to visit again soon!

    Kate2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Tiny house for two perfect nights in August. We enjoyed an easy walk down to the river and the location was good for sightseeing in Wiscasset and Boothbay Harbor. A delicious steamed lobster with corn, mussels and fixings, meeting and chatting with our host and other guests around the campfire are special memories from our stay.

    Holly2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding. Great place and great hosts.

    Jeff2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cary was a wonderful hostess. We ended up staying in the hippie bus, which was almost more fun than the tiny house. The fire pit was awesome, and the area is gorgeous. Cary went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Would highly, highly recommend. (Also, the bed was really comfortable!)

    Emma2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was totally not clear that our “tiny house” would really be a sort of trailer/ toolshed type structure or that we would be packed in next to a tent and tractor trailer and RV and a cabin. This place is basically a overcrowded camp ground behind a house...The listing made it sound like we'd be in the woods... but it felt more like a grassy parking lot with a weird fake hippy vibe. This place needs to be described more accurately and priced more according to what you get. I think $40/ night would be fair. It's not better than camping. And there was a weird odor infuser thing spraying out an intense amount of citronella or lemongrass or something. Pew!! I also have questions about the environmental impact of having this many people on a patch of land this small... (there were multiple people staying in the house, in a school bus, in an RV, in a "cabin" in a tractor trailer all using one gross porta-potty and the house bathrooms...).

    beth2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at the tiny home while in Maine for a friend’s wedding. It is a cute and relaxing way to experience the area and a short drive to nearby Bath and Georgetown. When we booked, it was not totally clear from the listing that the bathroom and kitchen were in a separate house and would be shared with many other guests. The tiny home, while very private and quiet, is only the sleeping quarters. Guests are encouraged to mingle with other guests and the hosts, who cook blueberry muffins and lobster dinners. For some guests, the retreat was the destination! The experience was more on par with hostel living or camping rather than an “entire place” Airbnb. We were open minded about the arrangement and had a pleasant stay, but it was not what we were expecting.

    Kevin2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cary was very welcoming. She was there to greet us when we pulled in and quickly invited us to dinner with the other guests. She offered a quick tour for us to get acquainted with our surroundings and made sure we were comfortable. The accommodations were clean and well kept. The location was just what we expected, quiet and off the beaten path with natural beauty all around. A great place to stay!

A mother in law unit on our property. It's separate from our house but shares a driveway/backyard. It was custom built & designed as a residence not a rental so it has nice high end finishes especially in the kitchen and bath. Walk to town/Bowdoin.
This is a modern, highly energy efficient, small house in the open concept/ loft style. It includes a small bedroom, a small open space kids room with bunk beds, a full bathroom with shower & bath, a tiny wood stove (wood & kindling provided), radiant heat in the floors, full washer & dryer, a high end kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator. There is a built in desk work/office space and use of the a fully finished patio with outside couches, a table/umbrella for 6-8 and a large Napolean gas grill. In terms of sleeping accommodation the house is ideal for 1-2 adults or a family with children. The bunk bed sleeping area does not have a separate door although it does have curtains for privacy. The house is 620 sq ft. We have hosted 4 adults and are happy to rent to any configuration but want our potential guests to know that the second sleeping area doesn't have complete privacy. We provide everything you need including: towels, sheets, bedding, laundry detergent, dish detergent, paper towels and the house comes with a few basic food staples like olive, oil, salt, pepper, flour, sugar etc... We also can provide a travel crib if necessary for a baby or toddler. Please feel free to message me with specific questions about the space.
The house is located in the Douglas Park neighborhood in Brunswick. We are approximately 4 blocks to Bowdoin college and 10-12 blocks to Maine St. where the restaurants and shops are located. This is a residential, quiet neighborhood but very close to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops, a great bookstore, antique stores and multiple farmer's markets.
  • Sarah is a good host who looked after us. Her property has everything you need just like home. I'd like to recommend Sarah's home to you for your next trip.

  • This is freestanding, brand new, little house on a side street near Bowdoin College. It's immaculately clean and architecturally interesting, being made of SIP panels and, thus, super-efficient and cozy. Our hosts were unobtrusive, but offered impeccable hospitality with many thoughtful touches. They were also flexible concerning our arrival time, which was delayed. We very much enjoyed our brief stay and are eager to return. This property is excellent. Do not hesitate to book it.

  • We (4 adults) had a wonderful stay at this charming property for a long weekend. House is exactly as pictured and described, and stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay, tips of local attractions, and even a very sweet welcome basket with coffee & snacks! Private outdoor space was really nice, and a convenient distance to town. Sarah was very quick to respond to messages and very welcoming for our group. Thanks for a great stay. Definitely recommend!!

  • We greatly enjoyed our stay here while we visited our son at Bowdoin and hope to stay here again when we visit. Our host, Sarah, was super helpful and communicative from the time we inquired about the place to our arrival and stay. We had a very late flight into Portland, and she sent us all the info we needed and checked in with us that day as we were traveling. The place is lovely -- very tastefully appointed and charming. We were extremely comfortable and appreciated all the thoughtful details, including coffee and some breakfast/snack items. We also appreciated the close proximity to Bowdoin and the town. Our only regret is that we didn't get to meet Sarah in person since our schedules were not aligned. We highly recommend this place as an alternative to the hotels in town -- private, very comfortable & cosy, and more spacious!

    Beth2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Sarah's place! Very nice, peaceful location with outstanding hospitality. Place was perfect size for a family of 4, with a nice yard for our kids to play in.

  • Very welcoming. The house was perfect for our little family. With the grill and patio it was also good for entertaining.

    Marcus2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Was attending an event nearby and selected this place on its contemporary charm. Close to downtown, located on a quiet street, it was just what I was looking for. Sarah was quick with responses and made it easy for me to gain access the property after my arrival was delayed a couple of hours (who knew Mt. Washington was so close?!). Place was very clean, had great space, and a lot of small house space saving features, which were cool. Main bed was a double but it was very comfortable. Sarah had a welcome gift basket laid out with coffee, french press, and some great snacks. I did not take advantage of the downtown area due to my event, but the main street area looked pleasant and stocked with many options for food and nightlife. Sarah and her family were very welcoming and great to talk to, great hosts. I would definitely book this property again.

There are panoramic views along the way and the sunsets are usually breathtaking.
  • What a great little apartment in the perfect location on cute Maine St. in Brunswick, and at such a reasonable price. We were three people, two in the bedroom and one on the pull-out sofa, and everyone was comfortable. Katherine is hyper-responsive and amenable and helpful and gave us good advice about where to go hiking in the area, where the best lobster rolls are, etc. For the price, you can't beat this listing.

  • During a quick trip up to the Brunswick area, I found Anna's place and thought it would be a great fit. It was right in the middle of where I needed to be and in a great little downtown area with plenty of shops and food options. There was a little confusion on getting the key and also which place was mine, as there are 2 locations for Airbnb. Maybe that was my mistake, it said "second floor," I thought from ground level when actually it meant from the landing at the top of the stairs. Not a big deal, just found myself confused. The apartment itself is a nice space, reminded me of some big city studios. When it comes to sleeping, I always look for a very comfy bed and unfortunately the bed was a little uncomfortable and hard. Other than that, I had no complaints and would stay here again if in the area.

    Aaron2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Airbnb was in a great location, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to. Our host was great with communication and making sure our needs were met. The space was a good size and having AC was great. The kurig coffee was a nice touch! Would definitely recommended.

    Jenny2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • place was nice. little confussing getting there but decent place.

    Jeremy2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment ideally situated in Brunswick Maine street. Very unusual access over a rickety staircase over an adjoining building roof (there was also access from Maine street which was better but much longer to walk). Towels were changed daily which was great. Apartment stocked with many essentials. Only issue was the very unstable bed frame which rocked back and forth every time anyone moved. Katherine agreed that it would be replaced. Other than this we enjoyed our stay.

    Diane2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Katherine made us feel very welcome. Katherine escorted us to the apartment, texted us info on a scenic route, loaned us a big umbrella on a rainy day, and tidied the apartment while we were there for 2 nights. The apartment is spacious for a studio, with a partial wall to separate the bedroom area. Both bed and sofa bed are comfortable. The location is very convenient to the main shopping/restaurant area (Maine St.), but also quiet. They even provided breakfast! It's on the 3rd floor, up external and internal stairs, so not accessible to someone with limited mobility.

  • Great place to stay for a great price! Anna and Katherine were both very welcoming and hospitable. Greeted us on arrival and offered to help carry our bags. Studio was very spacious and we loved having a wash machine and dryer. Brunswick is very cute and conveniently located close to Portland and other great places in Maine. Definitely would recommend it!

This third floor living area is expansive and very unique. The outdoor deck offers wonderful views of the tidal Winnegance Creek which is a bay on the Kennebec River. Doubling Point lighthouse is across the river. Osprey and eagles can be seen quite often over the water.
The church is walking distance to the Winnegance General store which serves fabulous breakfast and lunches. Bath is approx 2 miles away with lots of restaurant options to choose from. The Maine Maritime Museum is a mile away and should you have time, well worth a visit.
  • We had a great getaway at Winnegance Ledge! The historic property was nicely restored and and the hosts were so thoughtful! We arrived to fresh flowers on the table and food for breakfast available. The hosts also left us fresh picked blueberries from their blueberry bushes out front! We hope to return again soon!

  • Well located, highly unique, entire top of building. A suite of suites. We enjoyed claw tub baths after walking all day. Fresh, cool ocean breeze at night. Maritime museum is close by and very worth the day trip. Hit the general store down the street for breakfast or lunch.

"Brunswick Beata" is located steps from Bowdoin College, restaurants, movies, public transport, the town center and a short drive to Freeport, Portland and the Portland airport. This gem is perfect place to stay while in Brunswick & surrounding area because of the neighborhood, the outdoors space, the kitchen, the comfy bed, the heated bathroom (URL HIDDEN) place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers & can also accommodate 1 extra person on a comfy floor mattress.
It's prime location and brand new renovated and unique barn experience.
We love that it is a friendly and residential neighborhood, yet two blocks from everything our great little town has to offer.
  • This was the kind of place that from the moment I walked in I knew I could not WAIT to give it a 5-star review. Nina and Tony were the perfect hosts, greeting us when we arrived (even telling all the neighbors it was my boyfriend's birthday so they could wish him a happy birthday as well!), showing us around the place, giving us great recommendations for restaurants, shops and things to do, and being welcoming and friendly. The converted "barn" is gorgeous. I use the term "barn" because you would never know it was that in its previous life. Completely renovated and well-equipped with everything we could need and more. All of the little touches were greatly appreciated. The canoe light fixture was amazing, pictures do not do it justice! It's situated about a 5-minute walk to Maine Street in Brunswick, which is filled with delicious restaurants and quaint stores and markets. We cannot say enough about how great this airbnb and our trip to Maine was. Crossing our fingers we get to return one day!

    Janie2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming renovated barn with all the comforts of home. Within walking distance of Main Street with lots of restaurants and shops. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

    lloyd2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • When I first entered Nina's place I exclaimed, "IT'S BEAUTIFUL". And that is an understatement, especially after I was there for a while (I was there for 15 nights). I would be constantly amazed that I was actually staying in such a fantastic and lovely place. This two-story guest house is very comfortable and perfect for a traveler with independent living needs for an extended stay. It is SO CLEAN. And Nina is the consummate hospitable hostess; she has literally considered everything a guest traveler would need, from a FULLY stocked kitchen with gas stove and fridge, to towels, to travel guide books, to a smart TV & Blue-ray box, to a washer and dryer, and other essential amenities. I even discovered Q-tips and toothpaste in the bathroom. And the private and secure Wi-Fi was excellent with a super high-speed connection (Ookla Speed Test came up with 30MBPS). Let's see, what else? The bed is so comfortable! The neighborhood is very quiet. Their yard is lovely. The location is perfect, you can reach everything by foot, including the grocery store, a drug store, great restaurants, Bowdoin College Art Museum, a movie theater, historic sites, and the Maine State Music Theater. I fell in love with Brunswick, and was so glad for the closeness to the town that Nina's place afforded. I also enjoyed getting to know Nina and her partner Tony. They are so interesting and friendly and lots of fun. And kind beyond measure. Amidst their friendliness, which I so appreciated (because I was traveling alone), they also completely respected my privacy. I absolutely HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place if you want to be in a fabulous and comfortable house with unparalleled hospitality in a great town with an excellent location to explore other parts of Maine. I think Nina and her 1865 barn are SHINING EXAMPLES of what Airbnb is all about - connecting travelers with hospitable hosts offering amazing places to stay that are way better than mere hotels.

    Gary2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • My first thought upon stepping into Nina's refurbished barn was to wonder if I could come back another time for a longer stay. It is beautifully designed and sparkles with light. The space accommodated the four of us perfectly, with my husband and I in the upstairs bedroom and two teenaged girls on the pull-out sofa downstairs (no complaints from them, which is saying something). The garden and patio are enchanting and Nina and Tony are delightful. I can't say enough good things about our stay. But one more: you'll be steps from the heart of Bowdoin College and Brunswick, with all the shops and restaurants it has to offer. One final one: Nina provided yummy snacks and breakfast items and a handy guide to nearby restaurants and activities.

    Kirstie2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we entered the book- and art-lined Brunswick Beata apartment we felt welcome and comfortable. Nina and Tony are delightful hosts: interesting, informative, helpful and communicative yet not intrusive. The refrigerator held local food and drink items (including Tony’s homemade granola) and the kitchen was ready for cooking the produce from the Tuesday and Friday Farmers Market (only 1.5 blocks away!). The large windows, mostly unimpeded by coverings, looked out on a yard in riotous bloom (mid-September) and full of the promised cherry tomatoes. For being so centrally located, the neighborhood is quiet with some outside lights as would be expected in a town. It was a delight to sit at the patio table and savor that peace while knowing all that Maine Street offers was so close. While we are used to a firmer mattress, but this would by no means prevent return to this gem! The bar has been set very high for any other future Airbnb experiences. Thank you, Nina and Tony!

    Alena2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We agree with all the wonderful comments made by others who stayed here! The bedroom space, with the canoe light, is one of the prettiest and coolest rooms I've ever been in. It was a delight to sleep in and wake up in each morning. The mattress was wonderful! It was great having a bath and a half and a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with all the dish ware and cooking utensils you need to prepare full meals. We stayed during gardening season so we enjoyed tomatoes, blueberries, kale, and basil. Additionally, the yard is full of beautiful flowers. Brunswick is a fun college town with coffeehouses, restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores all within walking distance. You can catch an Amtrak train from Brunswick to Boston and many points in between. Brunswick is also a good location for taking day trips to other Maine attractions. We had a great time! Thanks Nina and Tony!

  • Nina was very friendly, warm and welcoming hostess. she provided an excellent tour of the dwelling and was very accommodating to follow-up requests. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and plan to be back in a week for a longer stay.

    lloyd2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely. Tucked on a side street that is an easy walk to lots of restaurants and stores. Very comfortable. Beautiful design that is attentive to detail, colorful and comfortable. A bit of northern Europe in Brunswick. Nina is very attentive to the details ... flowers, soaps, sheets, towels, coffee, special bakery goods, jams, and a couple of local welcome beers. She hovers just enough to let you know she is there for whatever you need, but not too much if you just want to be left alone. Two big thumbs up. Quite a discovery and we'll be back.

We have the loveliest home and want to share it with you when we're away. Our large, unique space is great for big groups and is completely remodeled with hardwood floors throughout. We're 1/4 mile from the Bowdoin College Campus and about a 1/2 mile from Downtown Brunswick and the Amtrak station. Our street is wonderfully quiet and we have an in-ground pool available for your use in the summer. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Ben's place in Brunswick! The pool was a blast and Ben was super easy to communicate with! The beds could have been a little more comfortable and we wished there was more space to hang our coats etc. as we were here a week. These were not a huge deal though and it all worked out. Again, Ben was a terrific host, and if you're looking for a nice, basic place to stay, this is a great option. A very short walk to the town and overall fantastic location.

    Annie2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Ben’s house when we were in Brunswick for our son’s graduation weekend. The house was perfect, as advertised, and the location was as well- a block away from campus! Ben was always quick to respond to any questions; he was also quite flexible with check in and check out time. A very, comfortable roomy house in an unbeatable location- we would not hesitate a minute to stay at Ben’s house again!

We have a small organic farm in Brunswick, Maine. We are located 10 minutes to downtown Brunswick, 15 minutes from Freeport, 1/2 hour to Portland and about 1.25 hours to the Camden Hills area. We have several sheep, chickens, a dog and two cats on the property. Out the back door is access to miles and miles of trails. Your space provides lots of privacy with a private entrance, a kitchen, and full bath just for your use. There is a queen bed, a sofa, wifi, writing table, and patio space.
  • The farm is absolutely charming -- much more so than in the photos! Beautiful flower gardens and a private space to sit outside and enjoy the lovely view. And there are the cutest goats you ever met! The bedroom, too, is lovely and very comfy. The Kitchen and bath are basic but fine and everything was clean. Patty was out of town during our stay, but her sons were there and able to answer any questions. As a previous reviewer noted, the rental space is part of the main house, and there are doors leading to Patty's home -- just be sure to look at the photos online so you know in advance which rooms are part of the rental. The location is rural, about 10-15 minutes from Brunswick. It's a dark drive on country roads at night. Overall, we had a comfortable and lovely stay.

  • Wonderful and friendly hosts, a lovely space to live in, and a setting that was bucolic, but only a short drive to Brunswick or Freeport, and with easy access to Portland. We loved every minute of our stay, and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Patty & John.

    Patricia2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful country setting with great amenities to spend some quiet time.

    Susan2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We felt right "at home" the moment we walked through the door. The pictures don't do it justice, its all that and more! Everything was as neat as a pin, and super clean. We really enjoyed our week there, and definitely would love to go back!

    April2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful. Patty and John were gracious guests and their place is beautiful. We live in Indianapolis and were vacationing in Maine. Their location is great for seeing Portland and the mid-coast area (and Camden Hills state park). It took us about 3 hours (one way) to drive to Acadia National Park, but was very much worth it. The park is beautiful and we highly recommend watching sunset from Cadillac Mountain. Patty and John's place is rural (but not hard to find) and so quiet (nothing but the crickets). We especially loved this peace and quiet coming from a bigger city. Thanks so much for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

    Adam2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Patty's farm is such a charming setting for a long weekend away! From the get-go, Patty was very hospitable and personable. A fresh plate of homemade cookies was waiting for us on the table, and the whole space was clean and well-organized. The farm was great, our family was especially fond of the goats! We brought our 3-year-old daughter and had no trouble fitting an inflatable mattress in the bedroom for her. The farm is in a great location for site seeing, and only about a 15 minute drive from downtown Brunswick. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be staying here. Thanks, Patty!!

    Hannah2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, peaceful location.

    Gina2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The property was so beautiful and homey the instant we pulled up. Patty and John were super friendly and inviting and checkin in and out was a breeze. They even have chickens and sheep on their property and seeing them was a lovely, fun addition to the already wonderful atmosphere. The room was very bright and decorated in a comfy and adorable fashion. The shower is huge and so awesome you gotta try it. The only down side is that the bed is on the firm side, and by that we mean really quite hard. If you like a more firm sleep the bed it right up your ally but it was just a little bit too hard for our comfort. That being the only hiccup our visit was amazing and Patty and John are some of the bests hosts we have come by. We strongly recommend a stay at Scatter Good Farm.

This 24' diameter yurt sits on 103 ares of forest and fields on the coast of Maine. A small family farm raises organic and pastured livestock here as well as organic vegetables and hay. Beautiful and comfortable this space puts you in the heart of Maine's Midcoast. Lots to see on the farm; lots to do in surrounding shoreline and towns(hike, kayak, sight see, shop, etc).
Two Coves Farm is a historic "Saltwater farm" in Harpswell, Maine. We erected the yurt to share this place with others wanting to visit the coast. Our yurt has running cold water, a small kitchen with all the basics. We also offer an outdoor shower with hot and cold water through November. We provide a composting outhouse for bathroom needs.
  • The host canceled this reservation 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Tonya2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Joe's yurt. It's clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and bathroom features were so comprehensive that we didn't miss standard electricity or flush toilets. The serene farmland surrounding the yurt enhanced the peaceful nature of our stay.

    erin2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a lovely vacation in the yurt in Harpswell, ME. It was appropriate for our dog and toddler who enjoyed visiting the farm, too. We are avid campers, but appreciated the amenities here and LOVED the private, beautiful surroundings including water view. (Camping tends to mean nearby camping neighbors - this was very remote - even from the hosts!) It's close to Stover's Cove, a dog friendly beach that seems a local secret. We only encountered tourists when we ventured to nearby Bailey Island for a ferry ride or Brunswick to shop and explore. The yurt is large, clean, and decorated nicely. The bed is super comfortable. The dome on top lets in lovely light Small solar lights helped extend the evening a bit, but we appreciated having brought our own headlamps, too. (Slap one around a jug of water for extra light.) The outhouse is rustic but the nicest I've used. It's a compost toilet, stocked with tp, and with ample privacy and ventilation. Shower around back is lovely, private and with hot water. Lovely to shower in the woods! Joe and his family were lovely hosts. Welcoming, available if we needed anything, but they left us to have our private family vacation, too. We look forward to visiting again - perhaps even in winter!

    Robyn2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph is a good communicator and made some issues beyond his control work for me and my party. Can not speak directly for the yurt as it was behind construction schedule. I understand that it is now available. The place he did provide for us was very clean and had much more space and he honored the original price. I am sure Joseph is a great host and will provide a good experience for those visiting midcoast Maine.....

    andy2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful property- the yurt is new, roomy, and clean. In the yurt, you can hear an occasional moo from the cow down the road, and one night we awoke briefly to coyotes yipping (so cool!). We recommend (1) visiting the farm stand where you can buy eggs, meat, jam, and goods from Joe's farm and (2) stopping by Potts Point Preserve 15 minutes down the road for lovely tidal pools and sunset/sunrise views.

    Jennifer2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful, the host kind and helpful, and the area beautiful. I am looking forward to my next holiday in Maine and know exactly where I want to stay.

    Susanne2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt is in a lovely quiet location and much care has been taken in providing a welcoming space. It seems quite new and there are still some kinks being worked out, but we appreciated the hot showers and comfortable beds and being able to have our dog stay. There is no hot water at the sink inside the yurt, and the outhouse is a long walk away. We never got to meet anyone from the farm since they were traveling when we stayed there.

    Kerry2017-08-19T00:00:00Z

  • I liked everything about Dan's apartment. Location was perfect. I walked everywhere...the Bowdoin campus and all of Maine Street. Plenty of ethnic restaurants, supermarket, Farmers Market, Museums, a short walk from the apartment. The apartment was spotless and comfortable. Plenty of natural light. Did not need to use the AC as temperature was quite comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck. Kitchen was well equipped. There is a range-top, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. Highly recommend. I expect to return!

  • Dans place was everything we needed. Not too far from local shops and restaurants and about a half hour from portland. It was the perfect place to stay

  • If you have any reason to visit Brunswick, this is the place to stay. [Beware, though, if you are old-school, like me, the maps are not printed with an orientation of N at the top of the page so I got turned around. MY fault. LOL].

    Susan2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect in every way!

    Diane2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • In good faith, I believe anyone will love this place as much as we loved it. Dan and Claire are friendly and Martha, the woman who lives in the front house, was friendly and helpful as well. Dan and Claire provided detailed instructions for how things in the apartment worked. The place was clean, cozy, and quiet. It was the perfect weekend getaway. It was our first Airbnb experience and it far exceed our expectations! Highly recommend

  • Perfect is the only word that comes to mind. Dan is an exceptional host and the location is perfect. This is my second time using the space and absolutely love it!

  • Marcia is a great host, who was extremely thoughtful and accommodating. She made sure that we had the code and knew where to park (with pictures) before we arrived. When we entered the door, it felt like home. Marcia made sure that there was fresh fruit, a Keurig, hard boiled eggs, cereal, milk, and all of our basic needs. If anything was going on in town, Marcia made sure to let us know through the airbnb messaging system as well. I would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful home if you are visiting the Lisbon Falls area. We will definitely extend our stay next year if possible!

  • At Marcias, you first notice the "QUIET" for being on "main street".Now that is after the double take when you realize the milk, yogurt , muffins even extra ice! really is for you.Just go, be yourself, relax, because Marcia & her husband exude that.lLive ,love ,laugh!.

    Ian2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place with a lot of charm. There were eggs, milk, orange juice and bagels amongst other things for breakfast.

    Luke2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Marcia's place was super clean and exactly the way it was described. She is a very kind host and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Every small details were taken care of. Highly recommended.

    Anjan2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in! The pictures do not really do it justice, it is truly lovely. Private, with your own code to enter and leave as you please. Very clean. Marcia has thought of absolutely everything, down to a little ice bucket in the freezer, a shower hook in the shower, and hard-boiled eggs and milk in the refrigerator. It was just such a lovely stay. My family and I were staying in the area for the first time after having some relatives pass away, visiting the area. It was a hard weekend, and when for the first time we didn't stay with family, we stayed in a place that felt like home. It was just what we needed, thank you Marcia! I highly recommend this for future travelers and we will definitely be staying again!

    Lacey2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely house in a beautiful town. Everything was perfect and the decoration is really very nice. Thanks Marcia :)

    Cédric2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Marcia's sweet home for a wonderful stay in Maine. My friend and I were in town for a wedding, which was an easy 25min drive away in Freeport. When we arrived (later than we expected - thanks to traffic coming from New York), Marcia met and welcomed us. My friend and I were thrilled at how clean and homey the space was. The refrigerator was filled with eggs and muffins and milk and fruit and cereal, etc. There was a Keurig machine that made great coffee - which was well needed the next morning! The beds were comfy, the TV had lots of stations and the space was very quiet. We were concerned that the one A/C in the living room wouldn't be cool enough for the whole space, but it ended up being fine despite being pretty hot outside. Last time my travel buddy and I stayed at an AirBNB we had a bad experience, so we were happy to report that it wasn't the case staying at Marcia's house. In fact, we'd definitely stay there again. Thanks Marcia!

  • Beautiful place to stay ! The attention to detail was tremendous and the apartment was beyond all my expectation! If we live in the area it would be a great place for a retreat from the rush of big city Pace! We had a great time with a great host!

  • David is very kind and communicative.

    Patrick2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for four weeks in David's apartment, which is exactly as described - with some unexpected outside balcony space. There are several other parties living in the building, but everyone is extremely considerate, quiet, and very nice. The sun-room is a great place to sit and talk or work. The apartment is an easy walk to grocery, shops, and restaurants - as well as to Bowdoin College. Many wonderful nature walks and other typical Maine Coastal beauty is within an easy drive. No complaints at all. Great place for the money - and a superbly communicative host, who is in the background, unless you want or need him.

    Bernd2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was everything it was advertised to be. It was very well furnished. All we had to bring was ourselves. There was plenty of parking and we loved that it was across from the police department. Made us feel safer in an unfamiliar town. David was a wonderful host and made sure we knew what was expected of us. Check-in and check-out was seamless. We would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous riverside studio, the smaller of two AIRBNB properties on the outskirts of beautiful and historic Bath, Maine. (The other, “Charming Waterfront Cottage in Bath,” is a separate Airbnb rental). Galley kitchen, bathroom/shower, living room, and bedroom, Simple, modern decor. Close to great shops, restaurants, and beaches, and just a 20-minute drive from Bowdoin College. Adjacent to a boat launch, and a short walk from the Bath Marine Museum and a scenic dog park.
This gorgeous studio, which we call “the nest,” is the smaller of two properties on a beautiful piece of land on the outskirts of Bath. (The other property, “Charming Waterfront in Bath” is rented on Airbnb separately). It has a galley kitchen, a small living room with windows on two sides, an open bedroom two steps up from the living room, and a loft space (accessed by ladder) where there are mattresses for kids. There are two dedicated private parking spaces.
  • Philip was the ideal host-communicative with lots of great suggestions. The cottage was perfect for our stay; a great space for a couple, lots of light, a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen is small but totally accommodating with a little bit of creativity. Would definitely stay here or check out the larger house on the property when we head back to Maine.

    Nathan2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Philip was a very accommodating host. The studio house was a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway with my wife. The location is excellent for exploring mid-coast Maine, or just kicking it around Bath. Philip responded in a very timely manner to message, and had some good suggestions about the surrounding area. I would most definitely recommend this spot to a friend traveling in the area.

    Adam2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Philip always makes us feel welcome. We have stayed in the house and cottage about 6 or 7 times so far. We love it and think Philip is an exceptional host. There are lots of special touches in the home and Philip is readily available for any questions about the house and the surrounding towns.

    Caroline2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely! Light and airy, situated right on the water. Well-situated and very private. It was my first trip to Maine and I can't imagine a more perfect spot to have as my introduction. Thank you for hosting us! Hope to come back soon.

  • Marty is a great host. Fantastic place and he is always helpful. We had a great time in Brunswick visiting college kids. Location is perfect for a bowdoin visit.

    Alan2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • A great apartment for our stay with everything we could need in a great location close to shops, restaurants, etc. Quiet, comfortable and private. The kitchen was stocked with high quality, organic goodies for our breakfasts - and the coffee was delicious!! Very Comfy bed, too! Martin and Henry were friendly, gracious and hospitable. It was great getting to know them a little and to wander around their delightful garden. Hope they come to visit us when they're in NYC.

    Timothy2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Martin's directions were excellent. I found the apartment with no problem, and he was there to greet me with maps of the areas I wanted to see. His advice for where to go and what to see suited me perfectly. If you like Asian fusion, don't miss the recommended Tao Yuan. It's one of the best meals I've ever had anywhere. The location of the Martin and Henry's home is fabulous, a quiet residential neighborhood a block from downtown. The living space is pleasant and private, including both a kitchen and bath. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast(URL HIDDEN)would recommend this apartment to anyone.

    Karon2014-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Henry and Marty's place exceeded expectations. Quarters are well kept and nicely appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything from coffee to fresh fruit to beer. (Couldn't say no to a bottle Gritty's Vacationland after driving in.) Location is ideal, all the more so for being right around the corner from El Camino restaurant. And Henry and Marty's hospitality was great. We've definitely found a new go-to for our occasional stays in Brunswick.

    Will2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts in a great location. Cute, clean and close to everything in town.

    Jeff2015-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Martin is a fabulous host--the apartment is adorable, the bed is super comfy (I kind of wanted to steal the pillows!), the breakfast fixins he leaves in the fridge are perfect. He even brought a lounge chair into the garden when I mentioned I might sit out there to get some work done. I loved being able to walk everywhere and had numerous delicious meals within just a few blocks of the house. I will definitely stay here again.

    Kate2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • After a long and tiresome trip there was Henry who helped me setteling in and cooked me a delicious meal, the welcome couldn't have been better.
