Places to stay in Borrego Springs
This is Lot #24 Enjoy this tiny home on the grounds at Borrego Holiday Homes! This is a cozy little spot that looks out onto the mountains at Anza-Borrego State Park.
Borrego Holiday Homes is a beautiful RV and Park Model community with great views of the surrounding mountains.
  • New tiny home. Clean and comfy with a loft in addition to the single bedroom. An adult cannot stand up in the loft, but it is fine as an extra sleeping area. Nice sully shaded carport so can park right next to the unit. Lovely mountain view from the living area patio door slider. Nice little "patio" deck not pictured in the listing.

  • We loved our stay at the Tiny House. The perfect size with good amenities and plenty of storage. The RV community is welcoming and friendly. The views of the desert and mountains are lovely. Perfect location near town and State Park Information Center. We so enjoyed riding our road bikes among the sculptures and beyond. Also, some good hikes nearby. We would highly recommend the Tiny House for a great stay in Borrego.

  • Sweet tiny home with well thought out spaces. Never felt crowded.

  • A comfortable and peaceful place to stay in Borrego Springs. Very conveniently located near town and also the Anza Borrego state park visitor center. The mobile home community where the home is located was quiet and friendly, with nice views and amenities. Would happily stay here again.

  • The Tiny house was truly amazing! We will be back for sure. Thank you.

    Miguel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A really great stay in the tiny home. It was clean, comfortable cozy and had everything we needed. It's an easy mile walk into town and it is close to the visitor center, hikes and the sculptures. We decided to drive over to check out Salvation Mountain, Slab City and The Salton Sea. Wacky and weird but interesting.

    Liz2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This location is very convenient to many local attractions whether they be outdoor sculptures or trails in Anza-Borrego State Park. In Borrego Springs there is a local non-profit Nature Center that offer many programs throughout the week. Be sure to check their schedule for night sky, hiking or morning bird walks. And if you want to simply sit back and relax, from the deck , the views of the mountains to the west just can’t be beat.

    Jennifer2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • I can agree with everyone else, it’s an awesome and “sparkling clean” spot! My girlfriend and I absolutely loved staying here. We will be back.

One block from the Salton Sea, the artsy „Vargas Paradise“ apartment is the perfect spot to explore one of the coolest and most eccentric towns in the United States. Bombay Beach is a photographers and filmmakers dream. It has the feeling of a Mad Max movie set combined with the Americana vibe of the 1960s and 1970s. The perfect spot to write that next chapter of your new book or edit your documentary. A great base from which to explore sites such as Salvation Mountain, East Jesus and Slab City.
Dear guests! Imperial County as well as Riverside County have issued on March 19th travel restrictions and Bombay Beach is an extremely vulnerable place. The majority of people are senior citizen, have health issues and many are too poor to afford basic health care. To protect our guests and the community we closed down our AirBnB until April 30th. After this date we changed to a minimum stay from 2 nights onwards closed Mondays and Tuesdays, until the crises last, to protect our guests and our local cleaning staff. If you want to stay longer than 5 nights, please contact us. We are very sad about this, because we love hosting people, and we as well as our local staff depends on the income. But no money and no meeting is worth endangering people. We hope for your understanding and would be pleased to welcome you as our guests in the future. The „Vargas Paradise“ apartment is a nod to the former owner of the house. He loved beautiful women and left a whole collection of the famous „Vargas Girls“ from the Playboy of sixties plus his own erotic paintings in his garage. Framed in gold they turn the small apartment at the back of the house into a kitschy art space. Set on a quarter acre yard the bright orange house features a large yard, a nice patio in the backyard on the right side of the house for you. The porch at the front of the house belongs to our other apartment "Bombay Beach Authentic House". - On-site parking for one car. - PLEASE NOTE: The kitchenette is equipped with: Electric water kettle, french press for coffee, Toaster, fridge, mini desk-top oven, one electric pan. But no microwave or stove. Normally there is also coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt and pepper. If you love cooking, please consider renting our other apartment "Bombay Beach Authentic House", which has a full kitchen with a stove.
Throughout town and on the beach the Bombay Beach ruins tell stories of the towns past as a prosperous fishing and partying mecca. And while on first view the place might look rundown it is bustling with life: From the live music and unplanned parties in the famous Ski Inn, to its growing eccentric art scene, an opera house, galleries and lots of public art installations on the beach and throughout town, Bombay Beach is a place to make new friends and get away from it all. A great base from which to explore sites such as Salvation Mountain, East Jesus and Slab City, take endless walks on the beach, experience the marvelous sunsets the Salton Sea is famous for and go birdwatching in one of Americas prime birding locations.
  • Amazing location next to the Salton Sea, cool art instillations and nice desert views. Had a lovely visit.

    Crys2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Although not a full kitchen, there was adequate supplies and kitchenware to prepare a meal. The check in was super easy, and the unit was very clean.

  • A great little apartment in a very interesting little town. I was perfectly happy with every aspect of staying at Uwe's place. It's roomy, bright, and well kept. Bombay Beach isn't the usual sort of tourist destination and this apartment fits that tone well - the decorations are so charmingly over-the-top and kitschy that no one over the age of 12 could find them titillating, let alone offensive. Uwe and his team were quick to communicate and a great source of useful information. I had a nice chat with Neil, who was looking after the property while I was there. Very highly recommended.

    Praveer2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The host provided many local tips which was nice. The inside of the cottage is a bit old, but it's clean.

    Tiffany2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Uwe's place is exactly like what is laid out on the listing. It's a bit smaller than the pictures give the impression of, but it's perfect if it's just a place to lay your head. It can get hot since the sun hits on the side of the bedroom, but that's expected and they do provide plenty of options to cool down. Would stay again! :-)

    Angelica2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. Perfect little place to stay when exploring Bombay Beach.

    Jenessa2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Love staying here can't say enough good stuff about it! I've now stayed here 3 times over the last year for a total of 6 weeks. I can't imagine a better place if you're exploring Bombay Beach, Salvation Mountain, East Jesus, and Slab City. Booking another trip here after finishing this review!

"GumDrop" is a 13 ft. Tear Drop trailer all hand crafted out of wood, metal and aluminum. The interior has two closets and some shelves. There are doors on both sides of the trailer so that you don’t have to climb over your partner to exit the trailer. At the back of the trailer there is a hatch back that opens up to reveal the cute kitchen with sink where you can make basic meals, prepare coffee, tea etc Included is a propane burner to prepare meals. Located right in the edge of the desert
Please read my reviews and the kind words guests have written about this location. If this trailer is booked I have multiple listings on Airbnb in the same vintage trailer park. The trailer is sitting in a very cool rustic artsy vintage park - Desert Sands Vintage RV Park est. in 1960 and is the oldest RV park in Borrego Springs which has mostly vintage trailers, some of the best landscaping for miles, breathtaking views, epic sunsets, bright starry nights and happy guests. If you've ever wanted to stay in a cool vintage trailer, this is heaven. The pool is warm year round. Borrego Springs has warm sunny weather year round so if you love the outdoors you will enjoy staying here. We have guests that have been coming back for years. It sits on its own space right on the edge of the open desert about 200 yds from the pool, Jacuzzi, bathrooms, public showers and laundry room. There is a mini deck for chilling out behind the trailer with some chairs. There is also a fire pit. The trailer has 2 windows and has a very airy feeling when the ceiling fan is turned on. We suggest hanging out by the pool or staying in the shade during the warmer months because during the day it might get warm inside the trailer. Spectacular views of the mountains on three sides. Even though to the untrained eye the desert looks dry and desolate, once you spend a night in the middle of it all you may hear the howl of a coyote in the distance, in the morning you might wake up to the sounds of different kinds of birds, while sitting outside drinking your morning coffee you might see rabbits, humming birds, lizards, coyotes, roadrunners etc. Borrego Springs is a dark sky community meaning there are no bright white lights and people use deep orange lights on homes and buildings so that the stars and moon can shine as bright as possible. Stargazers come from all over the world to view the incredible night sky in Borrego Springs
Desert Sands RV Park is just a stroll to Anza Borrego State Park, the largest in the state , art and culture, restaurants, bars and dining, great views, and the rustic artsy town of Borrego Springs that doesn't even have a traffic light or any big chain stores. There are numerous golf resorts within a 5 mile radius. The state park visitors center is just up the street with an interactive museum that shows how life was in the area millions of years ago. Its a must see!! There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain biking, road biking, off roading close by, mountain views, and points of interest.
  • Very cool spot! Easy to get to and very relaxing

    Cessily2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Phantastic desert view from lovley vintage trailer. Very quiet. Nice community, heated pool and jacuzzi for stargazing. Best hikes in the desert park possible. Will always come back to this magic place on earth.

    Judith2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The gumdrop trailer is located at the edge of the vintage RV park with incredible mountain views! Warren was available if needed, but everything we needed was already provided! I only wish we had stayed longer, so much to explore in the area!

    Angela2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and an amazing host who is very responsive. A great value for the price!

    David2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Gumdrop is a cozy, comfy trailer in a quiet part of a desert sands. Open desert is right out the door with beautiful views all around. Highly recommend if you’re up for a fun experience.

    Nancy2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to spend a weekend getaway!

    Thao2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • As a seeker of alternative lodging during my travels, this was up there as one my favorites. The accommodation is a special experience in itself, but the greater site community and the surrounding landscape made our stay here truly exceptional.

    Roy2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • First time ever sleeping in a Teardrop & really liked it. Even with heat, which obviously I knew about it, it was a good stay. Exactly what I wanted. Quite, calm & enough for me alone. Had a great experience cooking on the open with the desert view. The pool and bathrooms were perfect. I was a little bummed that the light string on top of the camping area was not working but still a cool place to relax. Went alone and still felt safe and comfy.

*STAY 2 Nights, Get 1 Night FREE* (Only 1 of 3 nights can be a Friday OR Saturday, see below) Enjoy this wood tiny house in the stunning relaxing mountains of Mount Laguna, less than one hour from San Diego beaches. We named this house "Farmhouse" for its decor and vibe. You'll love our towering pine trees, fresh air, lush greenery, fire pit, on-site restaurant, and easy access to hiking including Pacific Crest Trail. This house is part of a tiny house village called Tiny House Block.
*STAY 2 Nights, Get 1 Night FREE* (Only 1 of 3 nights can be a Friday OR Saturday. Book your 2 nights for anytime between Sunday-Friday or Saturday-Thursday. Then message us what additional day you'd like to add for FREE! It just cannot be a Friday or Saturday.) This is a gorgeous tiny house with staircase leading into upstairs area, where it's setup for 1 bedroom, however a blow-up mattress can be setup in the 2nd bedroom for 2 others at zero charge. Private bathroom with own shower, hot running water, and regular flush toilet. Private kitchen has your own stove, oven, refrigerator & freezer, and is stocked with ceramic plates, bowls, silverware, pot & pan. There is a portable heater. Pet-friendly. Park right in front of your house. (Please note that we are in the mountains and it's wise to have different expectations from living in the city. While we do our very best to maintain running water and power, occasionally weather conditions and maintenance lead to temporary loss of one or both. We humbly request your patience and understanding if this should happen.) The house is pet-friendly, however please observe that we charge the same extra-guest fee for dogs/cats as we do for human guests (we've found that animals usually make bigger messes). Please observe this extra-guest fee while booking. We provide coffee & coffee maker, however we do not provide breakfast. Each tiny house comes with a personal fire pit. Please bring your own wood if you wish to enjoy this experience and take all necessary safety precautions. Fire pit use may be prohibited during windy conditions as advised by property manager. We are currently in the process of getting long-term renters, so sometimes bookings are subject to change. If so, we are almost always able to transfer your reservation to another tiny house at our village.
We are blissfully surrounded by Cleveland National Forest, where you can hop out of bed and start hiking straight away. There is a restaurant on-site, and we are just 1-minute drive from the general store where you can get supplies. Farmhouse is part of a growing Tiny House community that is being converted from an RV trailer park. This presents certain aesthetic challenges. Please excuse us during this transition.
  • Great, cozy place to get away!

  • Such a great experience in this tiny home! We loved this tiny home community and can’t wait to see what it will become. We are making it a mission to try and stay at each unique tiny home they have there.

    Chris2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I spent a quick night at the tiny house. We enjoyed hiking nearby trails and thought the "tiny house village" had a fun, quirky vibe. The kitchen has the appliances, dishes, and utensils you need if you want to do some bare-bones cooking (microwave, toaster oven, good size fridge, coffee maker), which was a nice surprise. We had a good experience overall. Thanks!

We were getting worried cause we didn’t see snow. Bout 15 min from the lodge. It was everywhere. The kids loved it. It was exactly what we needed. Thank you

Cactus and Stars is a desert modern duplex close to town. The renovated property has great views of the mountains and stars, as well as a fun and relaxing yard. The residential neighborhood is one block from Christmas Circle and the restaurants and shops along Palm Canyon Rd and is proximate to the new library and other services. Follow us on Instagram @cactusandstars to stay up to date with our latest additions.
The home is furnished with a mix of vintage and new furnishings that compliment the mid century lines of the home and the yard has many relaxing seating areas, a bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, BBQ and outdoor fireplace. Many items have been in our family for years or custom made for the space and help make this a comfortable and special place for us to spend time with friends and family. We hope you enjoy it as well.
The immediate community is a mix of older homes and duplexes as well as undeveloped desert land. Most homes are occupied by families and we find it to be a safe and comfortable community. The neighbors do enjoy spending time outside barbecuing, recreating especially during the cooler winter months. If noise is ever an issue please feel free to let them know or contact us and we will pass along the message.
  • The house is as described and pictured. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, dishes pots and pans for cooking and eating. The outdoor grill was clean and ready to go. The beds very comfortable. We ( a group of four) were impressed with the thoughtful touches that made this a good base to explore Anza Borrego Park.

    Bill2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay and use as a home base to explore Anza. The desert is beautiful, but it's so relaxing to come back here at the end of the day to rinse out the dust and cozy up with the records, fire, or games. Absolutely loved it! We were two couples and it was a perfect size and layout. Once the second part of the duplex is finished it would make an awesome stay for a slightly larger group as well. We'll be back for sure!

    Tiffany2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific place! Great location. Wonderful hosts. Within the first hour or so of entering the home, I quickly took note and appreciated all the effort that had been put into making this Airbnb an amazing place that has heart and makes you feel welcome. The home offers indoor and outdoor games, front and back areas to relax, a record player (and records!), and so much more that I wasn't able to check out as I spent most of my time in the park. I recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area while being close to town. At the time of the rental in Feb 2020, the unit next door was empty/under renovation so there was no one else on the property. One note worth mentioning... the shower head is 5+ feet high, so if you're tall then this may be an issue for you.

    Ben2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and minutes away from Anza Borrego State Park and Ocotillo Wells! If you want to rent dirt bikes or ATV’s, I would recommend Mūy Rapido. The guy there is a one stop shop. Repairs, personal vehicles and has been in the business for 20 years and really took his time getting us set up. The Airbnb is in a small desert neighborhood and next to a home with a family and young children that like to spend their afternoons and evenings outside. The noise is not too noticeable except for the one bedroom closet to their yard. Matt & Aubyn provided ear plugs if needed. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and cooking. Matt was kind enough to provide milk/milk alternative for our coffee/tea. If you’re visiting the area, I would recommend Matt & Aubyn’s place! It was perfect for the two of us!

    Ash2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great desert home with all the right touches. All around satisfied with the location, amenities and special touches like coffee on hand, grill access, a great back yard with bocce and horseshoes, and fireplace under the stars. A special place for sure. Thank you.

    Drew2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • I came out with a friend for a girl’s retreat. Cactus & Stars was the perfect place to relax and reset. Matt & Aubyn provided the perfect outdoor spaces to write, meditate, read, and gaze at the stars. The first night we sat around the mid-century fireplace in the front yard and gazed at the stars. The next morning we watched the sunrise from the backyard. We ate breakfast at the wood slab dining table in the front yard and had a mid-morning yoga session by the palo verde tree. This house is immaculate and the details are wonderful. The kitchen is well appointed and provides you with all that you need to make meals during your stay. There is a bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, and outdoor Jenga. If you feel like playing poker, putting together a puzzle, reading a book, or scorpion hunting they have what you need. I highly recommend scorpion hunting with the scorpion flashlights at night. They also have a telescope for stargazing. I absolutely love this property. I can't wait for my next visit.

    Apryl2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Borrego Springs and appreciated the location and convenience of Matt & Aubyn’s place. We enjoyed the retro record player and thought the place was tastefully outfitted with classy and comfortable furnishings. Best of all was the ability to sit around a toasty fireplace on a clear but chilly evening enjoying the night sky. Horseshoe pitch in the backyard was great. All in all a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to book again if I have the opportunity to visit Borrego Springs at a future date.

    David2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had never been to Borrego Springs and it was insanely lovely! This Airbnb reflects that beauty wonderfully and we would want to stay here everytime we visit! Being able to grill out and enjoy a fire under the stars were incredible perks

Enjoy a very private, spacious house, featuring a large patio with pool, a rooftop deck (unfinished but accessible), stylish western decor, large screen TV with movie collection, modern kitchen, and 2 bedrooms with an additional room with 2 pull out couches. One of the best places to view the Milky Way in Southern California!

  • This is a charming, older home in Borrego Springs. It is decorated with period furniture, western style. The pool is an awesome way to cool off in the hot summer. The views are beautiful during the day and at night the skies come alive with stars. We love the quaint small town and enjoy dining out. The little markets there provide all one would need if anything's forgotten. Lastly, the hosts are so kind and helpful if needed, and want your stay to be awesome. Will go back next year! =)

One block from the Salton Sea, this authentic house is the perfect spot to explore one of the coolest and most eccentric towns in the United States. Bombay Beach is a photographer’s and filmmaker’s dream. It has the feeling of a Mad Max movie set combined with the Americana vibe of the 1960s and 1970s. The perfect spot to write that next chapter of your new book or edit your documentary. A great base from which to explore sites such as Salvation Mountain, East Jesus and Slab City.
The house was tentatively renovated with the idea to keep the original Americana vibe of the 60s/70s when Bombay Beach was a fishing, boat racing and partying hotspot. Most of the original furniture and decoration was preserved, from the kitschy kitchen wallpaper and plastic tiles, the wood-paneled living room with the fossil-decorated fire place and brown-yellow sofa to the painted eagle and busty cowgirl watch – it just feels like living in a movie set. Set on a quarter acre yard the bright orange house features a large shaded terrace with a coal fired grill build from an old water tank. On-site parking possible.
Throughout town and on the beach the Bombay Beach ruins tell stories of the towns past as a prosperous fishing and partying mecca. And while on first view the place might look rundown it is bustling with life: From the live music and unplanned parties in the Ski Inn, to its growing eccentric art scene, an opera house, galleries and lots of public art installations on the beach and throughout town, Bombay Beach is a place to make new friends and get away from it all. A great base from which to explore sites such as Salvation Mountain, East Jesus and Slab City, the Music Festivals in Indio (Coachella, Stagecoach), take endless walks on the beach, experience the marvelous sunsets the Salton Sea is famous for and go birdwatching in one of Americas prime birding locations.
  • Frauke and Uwe are exceptional hosts! Communication was prompt and easy. Check in was smooth. The space was spotless even after a big storm. They are knowledgeable about the area. Incredibly friendly and happy to help. Bombay beach is such a unique destination and their home more than compliments the overall experience.

  • Desert Oasis at Bombay beach.

  • This is the perfect place from which to explore Bombay Beach and the east side of the Salton Sea. The house feel like a nice rustic cabin with heavy old comfortable furniture/ Mattresses were new memory foam and super comfy. The kitchen was great for cooking and the west-facing porch is amazing for sitting, drinking coffee, watching the sunset. I would absolutely rent this space again.

Safe, clean and relaxing get away in trying times. The casita is private, set apart from the main house. The property is remote enough to see the Milky Way and experience absolute quiet, yet a short drive to trails. Close enough for quick food delivery options. Small kitchenette for light cooking,coffee/tea. Private patio. No TV, but a good WiFi signal. The main house is an art studio/owner’s home. We are detail cleaning all surfaces, linens and handles with disinfectant for your safety.
Seven acre property with guest casita on one side and host’s home and studio on the other. Both the casita and studio are straw bale construction. Toaster oven, single burner, kettle, small fridge for light meal prep. A short trip to town for food pickup or delivery. Each building is facing toward its own spectacular view. The casita is completely private, all you will see out the windows are jack rabbits and beautiful landscape. There is a seating area just outside the back door of the casita for wonderful desert quiet and view. Safest and most relaxing get away we can think of in tough times.
The property is located near the state park in a residential area with large properties. Three miles from restaurants and shops in the town and close to trails. A car is necessary wherever you are staying in Borrego.
  • Carolanne place is perfect for a desert getaway! The views right out the window are stunning and so easy to get to for a hike. Carolanne was super responsive for hiking suggestions as well as all the other questions I needed answered. We will be back for sure!

  • The view from the large windows of the mountains were what I wanted. The open space as well. I use to own a house down the street from here so I knew what to expect and was the reason I booked it. Thank you Carolanne

  • We enjoyed our stay at this unique casita. It's small, basic, and a little pricey but worth it for the gorgeous setting and mountain and desert views. It's close to town and hiking trails in the state park. I would stay again.

  • This fortress is the perfect place to get away from all the noise. From sitting out watching humming birds with your morning coffee to star gazing in the evening - this quiet kingdom is an ideal base for a few days hiking or simply hiding away! Fully recommended! ✌️❤️🚀

  • This casita is quiet and calming. We looked at the stars then woke up the next morning and saw the sunrise. We ate at El Borrego and Kesling’s Kitchen. Both were delicious.

  • Carolanne was a lovely host, and she quickly replied to my questions. The view from the property is wonderful. We had an enjoyable few days in this dessert oasis, filled with beautiful light.

  • Fantastic place, excellent location and great host!! Super comfortable bed and pillows. Great view, even from the shower. Very clean and fresh. Plenty of room for two people. As stated no full kitchen but the is a place to make a salad and sandwiches and sit outside and enjoy lunch. Plus there are restaurants close by. I would and will stay there again.

  • Was a bit confused because there were no check in instructions, however the other reviews helped me identify it’s the same as a hotel check in. We were running ahead of schedule so we reached out to Tony regarding early check in. We never received a response so we just went to the front desk. Turns out there was no record of my reservation. This wasn’t much of a problem because the front desk was incredibly helpful and got us in the room early, no questions asked. Once we were in the hotel room it was great. The pool was relaxing, bed was comfy, and room was clean.

    Melanie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We just completed a week-long stay at the Santa Rosa Getaway, Tony’s place in The Borrego Springs Resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suite is spacious, and we managed well with the small fridge, microwave, and small sink, prepped very simple meals. The room was clean, comfortable, and adequately supplied. Anything we needed by way of coffee, towels, tissue, or cups was supplied by housekeeping. The place may be older, but didn’t seem run down, at all. Everything was in good shape. Check-in was seamless, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the fresh coffee in the mornings and the ice water in the reception area. Tony and his staff are trying to give new life to the resort, working hard and doing a great job of maintaining the grounds and rooms. Unfortunately for some, the golf course is no longer operational. I think water is a supreme issue, and a lot of development in Borrego Springs has suffered. We didn’t mind that there was no golfing, and were delighted to take long walks and bike rides on all the former golf cart trails, where we enjoyed seeing the local wildlife—coyotes, rabbits, quail, all sorts of waterfowl on the still-full ponds. We really appreciated the complementary use of the bikes! We didn’t use the pool, but enjoyed the hot tub almost every evening. For some reason our key card cards stopped working quiet often—I hope they can get that issue resolved, as it was rather inconvenient. Internet, which was slow at first, came on strong after a couple days. Local internet in an isolated location is often inconsistent. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks, Tony!

  • Located in the Borrego Springs Resort, the king bedroom suite (separate bedroom and living room area, small kitchen counter with mini fridge) is spacious with easy access to the outdoor pool and hot tub. The decor is a bit dated but the room was clean, comfy and a great value for 2 people. The room was also serviced daily. We've stayed in this resort twice so far and this time we had breakfast at the on-site restaurant the Arches which was enjoyable. Thanks again Tony for a great stay!!

    Debbie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. The room was nice and bed was so comfortable. We used the hot tub at night while star gazing. Fitness room is clean and uncrowded.

Can't travel out of the country due to coronavirus. How about going outdoor in 600,000 acres of Anza Borrego State Park? Come and rest, relax at our Borrego Dig. Enjoy the panoramic view of Indian Head, Font's Point, and Santa Rosa mountain. Take a hike to Glorietta canyon and find ocotillo, brittle bush, dandelions and chuparosa are in bloom. Ride your bike. Enjoy the desert serenity, peace, and magical vibes. Time for new year resolution. Eat healthy, exercise, and re-energize!
Entering the front double doors, you will see an open architecture with high vaulted ceiling and large great room with modern clean line decor. Plenty of windows for the panoramic, telescope & stargazing along with our million dollar panoramic view of Santa Rosa mtn, Font's Point and Indian Head. Our Borrego dig is located on 1 acre of the Estates with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that will accommodate 6 guests comfortably. Nicely equipped kitchen with Keurig & drip coffee makers, bread maker, toaster, and rice cooker. A 50" LCD TV with Direct TV and Viasat wi-fi 5G satellite dish.
Quiet, serenity, and tranquility of the Estates of Borrego Springs. Each lot is 1 acre of white warm sand with plenty of room for privacy. Be respectful of the neighbors. Some are very friendly but some want their privacy. The superintendent and mayor of Borrego Springs live only 4 doors down. Please do not trespass on empty lots, it is someone backyard. Various architectures of houses from mid century modern contemporary to Southwestern adobe to Asian pagoda. SDGE built a green-energy efficient house right across the street from our Borrego Dig. The Borrego estates brag an open atmosphere with no gate and very little to no fence between neighbors. If you want the exclusive gated community, go to Rams Hills. The people here at the Estates are real and non pretentious. No fencing between good neighbors. You can look for miles and miles and see an expansive open space filled with blue smoke trees, indigo brush (bloom in July), orange ocotillos forest, yellow brittle bushes, coral mallows, scented creosote bush, barrel cacti, yuccas, and more. The birds are awesome! Audubon society come out here to count the number of birds in Anza. Long ear jack rabbits are darting along with the road runner are zipping across the street. Beep, beep.
  • Amazingly quiet and serene home yet close to shops and restaurants and hiking. Spacious and fully equipped home. Jayne’s suggestions for delicious restaurants were perfect.

    Lauren2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house is nicely situated in a desert landscape, great views of the Borrego basin and nearby mountains. Amazing sunrises! It’s not isolated but the neighbors are distant enough to provide plenty of privacy. Decent amenities but it’s a bit disconcerting at first that so many of the owners possessions are still there, as in drawers full of clothes, cabinets, freezer and refrigerator with lots of food items. It felt like they left hurriedly and might return soon. Odd but not really a problem.

    Carter2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a stylish and comfortable house, in a serene setting, with desert views in all directions, this is the place! We stayed two nights and loved it! We’ll be back for certain.

    Kathy2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome!!!! I went there for 2 days to get away from the everyday life and it was exactly what I was looking for. A nice house located away from the noise and the lights. It was very peaceful to just sit there and enjoy the magic of the dessert. Definitely a place I would like to go back.

*STAY 2 Nights, Get 1 Night FREE* (Only 1 of 3 nights can be a Friday OR Saturday, see below). Get mountain high in this fun marijuana-themed tiny house. We named it "The 420 House" for its weed decor. Loft with queen bed, living room, kitchen, and full bathroom. Let's be blunt, you don't need to be a cannabis connoisseur to enjoy this place, but your 420 buds will find this house has everything the chronic traveller needs for a smoking good time as you puff puff pass through Mt Laguna.
*STAY 2 Nights, Get 1 Night FREE* (Only 1 of 3 nights can be a Friday OR Saturday. Book your 2 nights for anytime between Sunday-Friday or Saturday-Thursday. Then message us what additional day you'd like to add for FREE! It just cannot be a Friday or Saturday.) You'll love our towering pine trees, fresh air, lush greenery, on-site restaurant, and easy access to hiking including Pacific Crest Trail. The home is inside the village Tiny House Block. The house is pet-friendly, however please observe that we charge the same extra-guest fee for dogs/cats as we do for human guests (we've found that animals usually make bigger messes). Please observe this extra-guest fee while booking, example: if it's 2 adults and 1 dog, the total would be 3 guests. We are currently in the process of getting long-term renters, booked house is subject to change.
We are blissfully surrounded by Cleveland National Forest, where you can hop out of bed and start hiking straight away. There is a restaurant on-site, and we are just 1-minute drive from the general store where you can get supplies. The Greenhouse is part of a growing tiny house community called Tiny House Block that is being converted from an RV trailer park. This presents certain aesthetic challenges. Please excuse us during this transition.

  • 420 House/#13 was awesome! Plenty of space for two. The "fireplace" didn't seem like it put out heat but it was enough that we didn't have to bundle up with extra blankets at night. The place was clean and had hot water. Full size bath tub was unexpected but appreciated. Desert View trail was in walking distance and it was great to just step out and start hiking. Pine House Cafe is in front of the complex and satisfied our hungry but food was kind of pricey for what we got. This was our first Airbnb experience and tiny house as well. We will come back! Thank you Seo and crew

    Lyn2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny 420 home is awesome! Seo was a great host, neighbors were nice, the cafe was super close and even has live music! Definitely a nice weekend get away!

The state run visitor center us just up the street and has many interesting things regarding life in the pre historic desert.
  • Cozy and cute RV that was well equipped and comfortable for two of us. The best part by far was the location. The Retro RV is toward the back corner of the park so we felt secluded. The view in front of the RV was an awesome panoramic view of the desert and the mountains. It really felt like the entire desert was our backyard. Warren was also very quick with responses and very friendly.

    Ashvir2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks, Warren, for your hospitality and for the emails you sent ahead of time with information on the trailer park and places we may want to check out during our stay. My daughter and I enjoyed being in the Retro trailer. The trailer was very clean and perfectly sized for two people. The kitchen had all the basics we needed: stove, fridge, microwave, dishes and a few posts and pans. There were plenty of towels. The location was great, really close to the main entrance of Borrego Springs State Park and on the same street as the downtown. We enjoyed hiking in the park and chatting with the people we met during our stay. We had a great view of the stars just a few feet away from the trailer.

    Susan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I went to Borrego Springs for a two day workshop and was looking for an inexpensive place I could hang out at during my free time. As a travel trailer owner myself, I thought the space would be comfortable, adequate and have a nice outdoor area to read and stargaze. I got just that! The trailer park is quiet and unique with friendly residents; the pool was warm and jacuzzi hot; the outdoor chairs were great to take advantage of the enjoying the peaceful and dark evening under the stars; and the camper was comfortable and accommodating with fridge, stove and french press coffee. Everything was clean and new. The propane did run out on my first morning while heating water for coffee, but Warren responded right away and sent Tim who quickly changed out the tanks. The shower water pressure was pretty low, so if that's important to you, you may want to use the public showers. I would definitely stay here again for a relaxing mini-retreat!

    Jo2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night at the Retro and it was a cozy and comfortable RV. The place was clean, and it had everything that we needed. We made breakfast the next morning and enjoyed it outside on the picnic table, next to the view of the desert. The RV community around it was also incredibly cute, and the residents were very friendly. Highly recommend for a glamping experience!!

    Jessica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • This little "glamping" trailer in Borrego Springs was wonderful. The trailer was clean and well-appointed and the park is in a great location. The host, Warren was exceptional and very friendly and responsive in his communication. I would highly recommend staying here.

    Carolyn2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a delightful stay in the trailer and everything was almost perfect. Our only real complaint was the lack of a handle on the hot water faucet in the shower which we did not discover until bedtime the first night. Fortunately, we had the number for an onsite person who could help us and he came immediately. Everything else was cozy, comfortable and convenient and we would definitely return. Perfect place to explore Anza Borrego from.

  • Warren's "Glamper" was the perfect spot to stay for our Anza Borrego vacation. We were 5 min away from the top attractions in the city and 25 min away from Ocotillo Wells. The stay was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities listed in the post. Warren communicated with me during our entire trip to ensure we fully accommodated!

    Amanda2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This camper is in a beautiful location - I brought my kids and service dog: I was charged a extra cleaning fee when dog hair was found in the camper - but I get it. I do think the hosts were great with communicating and were fair - would recommend to any friend or family member!

  • The Cabo was a great place for us to stay while in Borrego springs. We especially liked the patio at night. We had everything we needed and would come back again. Thanks Warren!

  • Excellent host - very responsive and hospitable. Amazing views, especially the moment the sun breaks the horizon across the water. Don’t miss the beautiful drive up to Borrego Springs.

  • My stay at Anthony’s lake house in Salton City was great. The views truly are beautiful as it felt great to be secluded. I enjoyed wine at night with beautiful sunsets and coffee/ hot chocolate in the morning to beautiful sunrises. I cooked my entire Christmas dinner in the kitchen which was helpful with all the cookware, enjoyed Christmas movies and music. Although it was just myself, I can say this is the place for entertaining as well. If you’re alone then you really get the quietness and serenity needed. I will definitely stay here again. Lastly, I agree with Anthony, this place is not for the faint of heart. I like luxury but don’t value it 24/7. I’m good with simplicity as well which is why this place worked for me. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did!

  • We had a lovely stay. We wanted a trip that would take us off the beaten path and provide us with some unique moments. This place led to all of those things. The house is spacious and has lots of windows, providing a nice view of the water. There was coffee in the kitchen, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay!

  • Great little place in Mount Laguna. Highly recommend also bringing your own food as places to eat are not conveniently located. Otherwise, downstairs gets very cold at night. but upstairs is super cozy in the winter. Our 3 year old loved the experience! Thank you!

  • This was a nice and cozy place to stay at! Although the rainy weather dampened our hiking plans, there was plenty to do inside the tiny house for a warm night in.

  • SO CLEAN! SO CUTE! SO RETRO! Everything we needed for a little getaway in Laguna. Great location! Quiet and nice. Hikes and restaurants nearby. Only con: The minimal ceiling space can be a tad bit annoying but we weren’t in the home too long so it didn’t bother us too much. You must be able to climb stairs! Don’t recommend for people with bad back, neck, or knee problems-but other than that this place is a HIDDEN GEM!! Happy we were able to be accommodated with such short notice! The hosts is quick to respond and friendly.

  • These little homes are super cute and make for an amazing opportunity for folks looking for a weekend trip from San Diego. It was so cozy and cute. We were up in the snow within 45 minutes from home. John and his team were super accommodating! It was a super unique and fun experience. We went for a beautiful hike during the day. Can't wait to return!

  • The heater didn’t work. But they were more than willing to go out of their way to get us a heater. Water pipes frozen due to snow, views are beautiful, close to hiking areas. The mountains are always a great idea and this place was a perfect fit to our adventure plans. Quick responses. The privacy and self check in was great as well. Husband & I will definitely stay again in the future! 5/5 stars..

    Sarah2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! We were a little worried about pipes freezing and/or not being warm enough, so we lowered our expectations before arrival. Yet we were so impressed with this large tiny home and the care that was shown to us. It was cold, snow expected for our duration. I asked Seo for an additional heater and he brought it over immediately. The electric fireplace made staying inside (playing games, reading, cooking, sipping coffee) just perfect! The Tiny House Block is also near the PCT and we jumped on the trail for a 10mile run in the snow. So fun! Even better to have a warm shower afterwards! On our way out, we needed to install tire chains and Seo was right there helping us, again. What a great neighborhood and community. Thank you!

    Megan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Totally recommend! Great location and amazing tiny home. Be prepared if you are going in the winter :) with extra blankets. We stayed in the snow and loved it. The staff on the property were extremely nice. Remember it is glamping and totally worth it.

Desert Sands Vintage RV Park est. in 1960 and is the oldest RV park in Borrego Springs which has mostly vintage trailers, some of the best landscaping for miles, breathtaking views, epic sunsets, bright starry nights and happy guests. If you've ever wanted to stay in a cool vintage trailer, this heaven. The pool is warm year round. Borrego Springs has warm sunny weather year round so if you love the outdoors you will enjoy staying here. We have guests that have been coming back for years.
Please read my reviews and the kind words guests have written about this location. If this vintage trailer is booked please look at my seven other vintage trailer listed on AirBnB on the same property. "Blue Bertha" is an original 1956 Ideal vintage trailer that has been totally refurbished with new paint, hardwood floors, kitchen, tiles, new kitchenware etc. She is 60 years old!! Lots of storage for your belongings. There is a fold down futon bed in the living area and a full size bed in the rear bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware you need to make tasty meals. The bathroom has a full sink, real house toilet and a 1/2 size bathtub with shower head. It sits on its own private space right on the deserts edge of Anza Borrego Park, close to the pool, Jacuzzi and laundry room. The trailer has many windows and has a very airy feeling with spectacular views of the mountains from the living room, kitchen and bedroom. Even though to the untrained eye the desert looks dry and desolate, once you spend a night in the middle of it all you may hear the howl of a coyote in the distance, in the morning you might wake up to the sounds of different kinds of birds, while sitting outside drinking your morning coffee you'll see rabbits, humming birds, lizards etc. Besides the regular bedding we provide on the beds I have put blankets in the closet if you feel a little chilly but with the plug in heater you will be toasty. Included are all needed bedding, spare blankets, heater, AC, swim and bath towels good size refrigerator, BBQ, outdoor seating, fireplace and more.
The state run visitor center us just up the street and has many interesting things regarding life in the pre historic desert.
  • Blue Birtha is absolutely magical. Everything, from the cozy ambiance of the camper, the charm of the vintage RV park, and the beauty of the Anza Borrego desert. Loved how convenient our stay was to restaurants and shops in town, yet feels so remote situated on the edge of the park and looking out into the wild desert. You will not be disappointed with your stay. It far exceeded our expectations and we wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely plan to come back again.

    Jimmy2019-12-31T00:00:00Z

  • Warren and Carrie are kind, thoughtful hosts. They made themselves available and pointed us in the right direction to find a kid-friendly activity. Blue Bertha was a lovely home away from home. Sweet decor and a magical outdoor living room. My daughter slept comfortably on the futon bed and I had the bedroom. We had so much fun but didn't stay nearly long enough...will be back for sure!

    Shira2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view

    Cathy2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a quiet secluded spot to star gaze and relax, look no further than Blue Bertha! She was inviting and quite cozy. There were three in our party and we all felt very comfortable and not on top of each other. The "backyard" overlooks the dessert and it was really peaceful to just sit in the lounge chairs and enjoy the early morning or star gaze. I highly recommend stay at Warren's place!

A kitsch haven in what can only be described as the coolest, weirdest town in America. 5 blocks from the Salton Sea, on the desert side of Bombay. This former family home is complete with everything you might need for exploring the Salton Sea and Imperial Valley, Salvation Mountain and Slab City. The town, the house and the sea are a photographer's dream. This is a great base from which to explore eccentric nearby sites such as Salvation Mountain and Slab City.Made up of a square mile grid of paved streets, the majority of the residents live in eclectic mobile homes. There is a small corner market, 2 bars, bait shop, volunteer fire station, an unmarked motel, and the flooded ruins of a once prosperous fishing mecca.Without a gas station, and the nearest one 20 miles away, most people rely on electrical golf carts to get around town. The house is completely air-conditioned throughout and has a fun, Americana vibe, filled with metal-printed prints by the owner, a photographer. The house features wood-paneling throughout, an open-plan living area, with comfy sofa-bed and TV. Dining area and kitchen, with TV. Office space with two desks. Cosy bedroom and covered outdoor living space. lots of closet space throughout. Set in a big lot, completely enclosed all-around and very secure. Lots of on-site parking and room for pets. A unique space in a unique place! Please contact us with any questions at all. NB: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE PECULIARITY OR REMOTENESS OF BOMBAY BEACH..
  • The Bombay Beach House is the perfect retro bungaloo for a stay in Bombay Beach. It has a throwback charm with more space than you expect from the photos. It's location is nice because it's quieter and away from the sea and activity (but still just a 4 block walk to the water). The listing may say 1 bed, but there are actually 2! Tao is a great host that communicated well and even has an amazing guide to experience all the incredible art installations and sites around town. I highly recommend staying here and following Tao's wonderful guide.

    Bradford2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tao's vintage house in Bombay Beach is absolutely stunning. We had the most wonderful time staying there and he was super friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend staying here and exploring what Bombay Beach has to offer. I'll be going back for sure!

    Jake2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tao's place is by far the best air bnb experience I've had. I was not specificially looking for this destination, but it came up while browsing for other options in the Palm Springs area. I was so intrigued by Tao's description of the location that I booked a stay there just to see it for myself. Tao's place is not only wonderful for the space he provides, which is secure and clean, but for the fascinating setting it's in. I would recommend anyone considering coming here to google a brief history of the Salton Sea and Bombay Beach to fully appreciate the stories it has to tell in the present day. This area is so thought provoking it will certainly have a lasting influence on me. It is an inhabited ghost town. It is a picture of desolation that still has a pulse of human resilience. I struggled to find exactly the right word to describe Bombay Beach, but in the end the word is simply "poetic." The visual displays of repurposed relics and other creative displays that abound are amazing when seeing them surrounded at the same time by abandoned and decaying structures. Thank you Tao for such a one of a kind and eye opening experience.

    Virginia2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Taos place was very different and unique. Kind of took you back in time. Loved the locals at Ski Inn we definitely put a dollar on the ceiling. Bombay is like no place we’ve ever stayed before, and if you go there stay at one of Taos place and you must stop at salvation mountain!

  • The coziness of the place is welcoming and has you feel at home. It’s totally quiet out there and at peace with the dazzling night sky. The experience in Bombay was absolutely amazing, we learned a lot on the history. It’s a spot to absolutely stop by and check out. A night away from the city is always wonderful.

Fully renovated in 2018, this house features gorgeous views and sits on the famed Rams Hill golf course. There is an excellent restaurant located in the community & Borrego Springs town is only 5-10 minutes away. • Jayleen's place is located in probably the most beautifully landscaped residential community in Borrego Springs. It is a pleasure to see all the remarkable specimens of cactus and other desert species. The community also offers a hot tub, salt-water pool, gym, golf course, tennis and pickle ball courts and more. The rental is a 60's or 70's vintage double-wide manufactured home. It is showing some wear and tear but we enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed, all appliances were in good working order, the bed was comfortable and Jayleen stocked an ample supply of necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, ice, pots, pans, cutlery, towels, linens, etc., etc.). What we enjoyed most was having lunch in the small yard where we could watch a variety of birds: finches, warblers, verdins, doves, mockingbirds, bluebirds.

  • Third trip back staying at Warren and Tammi's Vintage RV paradise. Its always a peaceful experience.

  • 5 star host. Great location. A real fun place to stay.

    Paul2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t be more perfect as far as location in the park. Right behind the pool. Definitely bring a laptop with DVD capabilities bc WiFi is sparse. Nice outdoor atmosphere & storage for days. I was feeling under the weather & went a little crazy at the market so don’t be like be and buy frozen food bc the freezer is small (vintage as should be expected) and there isn’t an oven. I am a big fan of retro so of course had to test out the shower and making coffee by boiling water with the nice coffee press provided. Host very accessible ... thumbs up for the amazing desert vibe.

  • This Vintage RV is a dream! So sweet and quaint in a lovely community. Highly recommended!

  • Loved staying in the vintage trailer. The trailer park is really cute, everyone is friendly and the trailer was very clean. I’ve told all my friends to go and I will definitely be back again.

  • Great family trip to Borrego Springs. The camper itself was no-frills but very comfortable, and the RV resort in which it was situated was lovely—we wished we could stay longer! Thanks to Warren for a wonderful stay.

Borrego Holiday Homes is a beautiful RV and Park Model community with great views of the surrounding mountains.
  • The place is clean, well appointed, and very conveniently located for access to activities in Anza-Borrego.

  • Our family has a lovely stay. Clean, well set-up, good location, quiet complex. Often had the pool to ourselves. Note: if bringing young kids, bring a lifejacket. Shallow end of pool is 3’ and can’t get one or even water wings in town, so we spent a lot of time in the pool keeping our youngest happy and safe. Also, pool towels not provided. The home was clean, had great towels and comfy bedding. Loved being able to walk out of the back of the complex into the desert and down to the beautiful library. Did 5 different desert hikes in 5 days- there are so many great options! Note- the Palm canyon hike (most popular/famous in this area) is closed due to a fire. Driving to the sculptures was fun too.

  • Definitely a gem here. Super happy we stayed here. Would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

    Tim2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean two bedroom house that is just the right thing for 2 couples or 1 couple and a kid or two. Very quiet RV park with friendly people. Host Elizabeth is a lovely person. I stayed in three other places in Borrego Springs this trip. I paid much more for the other two and this offering is by far the best.

"Speedy" a modern retro vintage style trailer with modern amenities. Parked in the center of Desert Sands Vintage Trailer Park bordering Anza Borrego State Park, est. in 1960 and is the oldest RV park in Borrego Springs which has mostly vintage trailers, some of the best landscaping for miles, breathtaking views, epic sunsets, bright starry nights and happy guests. Just open your door and hike. Amazing sunrise and sunsets and out of this world star gazing. This place is heaven on earth!!
If this vintage trailer is booked please look at my other vintage trailers listed on Airbnb all on the same property. Please take a look at the kind reviews our awesome guests have left us. COLD A/C FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS + NICE HEATED POOL AND JACUZZI This trailer has a double kitchen sink , large memory foam mattress, toilet, shower, bathroom sink. If you find the tiny bathroom/shower combo too cramped, there are nice hot public showers and bathrooms 10 feet from your trailer. Included are dishes, plates, cutlery, kettle, toaster, wine glasses, bowls, mugs, bath and swim towels, all bedding, coffee, tea, heater, blow dryer and a couple other surprise snacks. This trailer is close to the pool, restrooms, showers, Jacuzzi, laundry room and Tiki Hut which has wifi which may reach the trailer too. The trailer has spectacular views of the mountains from the bedroom and kitchen. Besides the regular bedding on the bed we have put an extra blanket in the closet if you feel a little chilly but with the heater you should be fine. Right next to your trailer is the Tiki Hut which has a bar, fridge, sink, propane burner and skillets if you choose not to use "Speedy's" kitchen. It also has wifi which will reach your trailer.

  • Very friendly and attentive hosts. Friendly neighbors and location can’t be beat. Will be back.

    Jared2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place right next to the pool. I'm 6'4" 250 lbs and was worried about the size of the trailer but everything worked out great! The bed is plenty long and really comfortable and the trailer is very stable. And one of the other residents brought us cookies! Definitely will stay again!

    Patrick2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best way to spend a night in Borrego. The beds were comfortable, the space was easy to find and the neighbors were friendly. We will definitely be using one of Warren's RVs in the future.

    Ian2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying in one of Warren’s trailers. We had a great time, as we expected. Unfortunately we had to switch trailers due to a power outage but Warren and the camp host were very quick to accommodate us! We enjoy staying in Anza and we will continue to use Warren’s trailers anytime we come back! Such a beautiful spot to watch the stars at night and hike during the day.

*STAY 2 Nights, Get 1 Night FREE* (Only 1 of 3 nights can be a Friday OR Saturday, see below) This gorgeous tiny house boasts a downstairs bedroom with pull-out bed plus a double-loft, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. We named this house "Garden Delights" for its decor and vibe. You'll love our pine trees, fresh air, on-site restaurant, and easy access to hiking including Pacific Crest Trail. The home is inside Tiny House Block, San Diego's first tiny house village.
We are blissfully surrounded by Cleveland National Forest, where you can hop out of bed and start hiking straight away. There is a restaurant on-site, and we are just 1-minute drive from the general store where you can get supplies. One of the lofts is small and can only accommodate guests 5 feet or shorter. The house is pet-friendly, however please observe that we charge the same extra-guest fee for dogs/cats as we do for human guests (we've found that animals usually make bigger messes). So if it's 2 adults and 1 pet, the total would be 3 guests. Please observe this extra-guest fee while booking. We provide coffee & coffee maker, however we do not provide breakfast. Each tiny house comes with a personal fire pit. Wood can be purchased from our staff or you may bring your own. Please take all necessary safety precautions. Fire pit use may be prohibited during windy conditions as advised by property manager. We are currently in the process of getting long-term renters, booked house is subject to change.
A true gem in east San Diego, right along the Pacific Crest Trail, Mount Laguna boasts stunning views and trails. Our community of tiny houses is one the great highlights of Mount Laguna, which also has the cozy restaurant Pine House Cafe & Tavern.
  • My family and I really enjoyed staying here for Christmas. Although, it was a little tough to sleep because it was stuffy on one side and too hot on the other side with the heater. But we loved everything else and the hospitality was amazing!! After sending a message about having trouble with the heater, Seo came in with an extra heater and helped us. He also went around helping everyone from morning to afternoon in each house to make a path for our cars:)

  • My 2nd time renting an Airbnb in Borrego Springs, and definitely my favorite. The house was 100% perfect: incredible views off the back patio, well equipped kitchen, thoughtfully laid out living room, extremely comfortable bed, very convenient garage to keep the car out of the sun, fun vintage bikes to go cruise around the neighborhood, and the nearby pool that’s very nicely heated. Host was quick to respond and very helpful in offering to bring by Keurig pods and brought an air pump for the bike tires. The houses are grouped together quite closely, but there’s still a feeling of total serenity and privacy. We observed a good scene of wildlife in the backyard: rabbits, lizards, and we even watched a coyote trot by after dark! The location is convenient to town, about 10 minutes north to the town center with shops and eateries. Borrego Palm Canyon and Maidenhair Falls are 2 super epic hikes nearby. I give this Airbnb 10/10. Highly recommend. Definitely one of Borrego’s best.

Roomy, well-appointed 21-foot travel trailer located on our peaceful 1.25 acres. Our town is surrounded by the dramatic Anza Borrego State Park. Enjoy mountain and meadow views and night sky viewing from the rooftop deck. Your porch faces our quiet dirt road and offers complete privacy from our home located behind it. Close to hiking trails, bird-watching, and spectacular vistas. Just 15 mins to Ocotillo Wells for off-roaders. We accommodate groups with additional rigs/tents. Ask about details.
Borrego Springs is surrounded by the largest state park, Anza Borrego State Park. It's a nature lovers paradise. Listen to the birds sing and coyotes howl in the distance. Our property is less than a mile from the park's border where you'll enjoy being only 7 minutes frm the center of town with restaurants, galleries, shops, etc. Close enough, but not too close.
  • Beautiful, peaceful, and convenient location, it is the perfect base camp to explore the vast Anza Borrego region. Shelley is a kind and wonderful host! The RV was incredibly comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything you would possibly need and more. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feed on the porch at sunset after a long day hiking. Also hope to make use of the viewing deck for stargazing next time! I loved my stay and truly look forward to returning, thank you so much for sharing this gem!

    Kyle2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • My brother and I never had an overnight stay inside a trailer. However, at the end of our stay, we were impressed what our host Shelly has put together for her Airbnb recipients. A traveller can expect comfy beds, water in the fridge, coffee out front, soap and shampoo in the bathroom, WiFi, a heater, and extra blankets for those cooler nights. Ok. One could argue that’s standard for an Airbnb. But here’s the kicker: It’s the outdoor experience outside from the trailer that makes staying at this place a unique experience, and central to enjoying the desert life in Borrego Springs. There’s a fire pit available to enjoy a campsite fire plus access to the rooftop to gaze at the beautiful night sky. Did I mentioned the swimming pool also? The traveller will also notice picnic tables and chairs. It’s is my opinion if an individual, couple, or small family wants to experience a true Borrego Springs lifestyle, this is the ticket!

    Angelo2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed the accommodations. Shelley has the place set up very nicely. We loved stargazing on the sky deck, playing scrabble (she has board games in the RV) and watching the hummingbirds feed outside the RV. Should we come back to the area, we’d love to stay here again!

    Alexandra2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The RV was as described- clean, comfortable, and surprisingly roomy. It’s a good spot for sitting outside and watching hummingbirds. Well furnished kitchen for cooking. No complaints.

    Sharon2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Super hospitality. Clean cozy space. Great location if you want to chill out. Interesting things to do in and around Borrego Springs. A firepit to enjoy starry nights. Much more.

    Jeff2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Shelley's place for 3 days and it was a very peaceful getaway. We really enjoyed the privacy of the place. The trailer is well equipped and sparkly clean. I would recommend it if you want to go hiking, relax and enjoy the desert scenery.

    Laurence2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Shelley’s space is awesome. Located centrally between Anza Borrego and Ocotillo Wells, this is the perfect base camp for all of you desert adventures. The place is tastefully designed and meticulously maintained. Shelley goes out of her way to explain things and make you feel comfortable during your stay. It is quiet at night and the stargazing is spectacular. For the price, you couldn’t ask for anything more!

  • A wonderful experience in a novel setting. The noise from other campers in other sites drew down our value rating, but that had nothing to do with our excellent hosts or the amenities they provided. It was VERY nice to not have to worry about setting up or breaking down a campsite. The tree tent was a great experience that every outdoor enthusiast should do at least once!

    Rosemary2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was a unique experience, sleeping among the trees! The host already set everything up for us when we arrived. We have a fantastic time!

  • This was an excellent getaway for my family (wife, 6yo, and 4yo) and I. We stayed at the Burnt Rancheria site. The kids had a BLAST exploring all of the different spots in the campsite. We chose this spot because earlier in the summer my spouse broke her wrist and a traditional camping experience was unmanageable. This site was a perfect compromise, as everything was set up. All we had to bring was our personal gear and our food. Shantel and her husband were extremely hospitable and wanted to make sure we had a great experience there. While there was spotty cell phone signal, they would briefly stop by to ask if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

    Jan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • An exceptional camping experience for our family of 5! Everything we needed was provided by Shantel! She was very communicative and responsive and the Laguna camp site was in a lovely and convenient location! Highly recommend!

    Crystal2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fantastic weekend away from the city thanks to Shantel and her husband. Everything was exactly as described. The location was amazing— even though it was supposed to be super hot this weekend the area the camp was in managed to stay very temperate. We had a freak flash flood and mudslide strike during our second evening and Shantel was quick to come and replace the tents, towels, sleeping bags, etc that had gotten wet during the storm. The whole weekend my friends and I discussed when we would be coming back next!!

We named this house "Sedona Spirit" for its decor and vibe.
It just cannot be a Friday or Saturday.) This particular house has a low ceiling clearance for the upstairs bedroom loft. While authentic to the tiny house experience, please consider this while booking, especially if you are prone to feeling claustrophobic. The house is pet-friendly, however please observe that we charge the same extra-guest fee for dogs/cats as we do for human guests (we've found that animals usually make bigger messes). Please observe this extra-guest fee while booking. We provide coffee & coffee maker, however we do not provide breakfast. Each tiny house comes with a personal fire pit. Wood can be purchased from our staff or you can bring your own. Fire pit use may be prohibited during windy conditions as advised by property manager. We are currently in the process of getting long-term renters, booked house is subject to change.
We are blissfully surrounded by Cleveland National Forest, where you can hop out of bed and start hiking straight away. There is a restaurant on-site, and we are just 1-minute drive from the general store where you can get supplies. Sedona Spirit is part of a growing tiny house community called Tiny House Block that is being converted from an RV trailer park. This presents certain aesthetic challenges. Please excuse us during this transition.
  • Cute space that is warm and inviting. It is perfect for a single person.

  • The tiny home was so adorable and a great weekend getaway!

    Ceilidh2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! Very small population in the middle of the mountains, but a great way to explore something different. We stayed during the winter offseason, so it was very quiet with only a few visitors in the pine cafe and no live music. The hiking was beautiful with walkable and drivable trail options all over.

    Alyssa2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Sedona house was cozy and cute. For those staying during the winter months expect no water in the morning. They had a problem with freezing pipes. It was something we expected. The community was great. It was quiet and beautiful

    Rowena2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. They even helped dig my car out of the foot of snow that feel over night. All in all a wonderful little space

Desert Sands Vintage RV Park est. 1960 and is the oldest RV park in Borrego Springs which has mostly vintage trailers, some of the best landscaping for miles, breathtaking views, epic sunsets, bright starry nights and happy guests. If you've ever wanted to stay in a cool vintage trailer, this is the place. The pool is warm year round. Borrego Springs has warm sunny weather year round so if you love the outdoors you will enjoy staying here. We have guests that have been coming back for years.
Please read my reviews and the kind words guests have written about this location. If this vintage trailer is booked on the dates you need please check my other vintage trailer listings in the same vintage trailer park. A/C FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS + NICE POOL AND JACUZZI AND WARM HEATER FOR WINTER "The Time Capsule" is a 1968 Avion trailer has been totally refurbished with new paint, hardwood floors, AC, new kitchenware, new drapes etc. "The Time Capsule" is 48 years old so please be gentle with her. There is lots of storage for your belongings. The bathroom has a real house toilet. It sits on its own space bordering the open desert, some of the outdoor area is common space which is shared by other guests. The trailer has many windows and has a very airy feeling with spectacular views of the mountains from the living room and bedroom. Outside is a dining table and chairs and a huge metal Chimenea for making fires and normally there is enough firewood close by from cutting down some trees. The RV park has a pool, Jacuzzi, laundry room and Tikki Hut with wifi - once you make your reservation I will provide you the wifi info. We normally try to leave some snacks and treats for our guests so please help yourself and enjoy your stay.
There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain biking, road biking, off roading close by, mountain views, and points of interest. The state run visitor center us just up the street and has many interesting things regarding life in the prehistoric desert.
  • One resident called it 'The Trailer Park at the End of the World' and I loved that. I don't know how many vintage RV parks there are in the US. I'm guessing it's not many. It's a beautiful, unique and interesting site. I can't fault a thing with our stay in the Time Capsule. We had 5 days of sheer quiet, enjoyment, pleasure, fun and solitude. The residents were all friendly and wonderful. Tim and Tom the local maintenance guys brilliant. The area is beyond words to me. Simply the most photogenic place I've ever been too. We had walks up Hellhole Canyon, Salton sea, Palm canyon and the night sky tour has taught me more about the constellations than I ever thought possible on a holiday. We can't wait to return.

  • Great place! Lots of great stuff to do near by. Host was easy to communicate with and outstandingly hospitable.

    Christian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The "Time Capsule" was just as described. Warren (and his on-site host, Tim) couldn't have been more responsive and helpful. The trailer is well equipped for such a small space. We were there for a week and cooked full meals in the "kitchen" using the stove and oven. There is no microwave because there would be no space for one but there is one in the "tiki hut" near the pool for general use! There is no wifi at the trailer but is available at the community pool and at the community "club house" which is open to all residents and guests. The location and setting of the Time Capsule within the Park is ideal. The pool, hot tub and hot showers are a 3 minute walk. Town is 1 mile away with shops (including two small groceries)and restaurants and the Anza Borrego Visitor's Center (a must stop for any visitors) is just up the road. The trailer is compact but had what we needed. The scenery and the hiking is amazing in Anza Borrego, some nearby and some a drive away, but easy to challenging hiking and walking trails abound just outside the trailer door. We were there in January to escape New England winter and the weather couldn't have been better. Shorts and T's during the day, long pants and sweaters in the evenings. The RV Vintage Park is home to about 70 vintage trailers owned by part-time or full time residents. Their trailers are well-cared for, artistically decorated on the outside and interesting to walk around to see. There are only a few air bnb's so there is a real residential community who live there. We were honored to have them welcome us into their community. Thanks, Warren and Tim for everything. We'd love to come back!

  • All I can say is WOW. From the drive up the mountain and through the Vintage RV Park, you’ll be speechless. Each RV has their own personality that’s been preserved / created by Warren and his wife. They were two of the most amazing hosts I’ve ever had. They’re very welcoming along with the permanent residents who live in the park. The pool / hot tub is great, but the scenic backdrop behind the trailer (with trails) steals the show. Definitely staying again!

It is time to whisk yourself away from the hotel humdrum & savor a slice of the good life at our mid-century butterfly roof getaway. Relax in the backyard by the pool in this mod 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath architectural gem by Architect William Krisel, designed in 1959. Enjoy the thoughtfully curated vintage furnishings - fresh, functional and comfortable! Ready to unwind? Looking forward to seeing you soon -- keep it simple & keep it happy! The nice photos courtesy of da fine folks @absquaredcreative.
This place is unique and standalone as the only period correct, mid-century modern vacation rental in Borrego Springs with a designer/period interior and pool. The bedrooms are quite spacious for a 50's home and there is lots and lots of closet space. While the kitchen & bathrooms are 100% original, they are quite functional and utilitarian. For those who need their tube time, we've added a large HD Flatscreen Smart TV in the living room and another smaller version in the Master Bedroom. Our favorite part about the design of the home is that it has everything you need and nothing you don't need. Of course, being a restored to original home in the middle of the desert, it is typical to find an occasional critter that has found a way into the house. We have a pest control company service the house regularly, but if the thought of finding a bug of any kind gives you the willys, then this house (and Borrego Springs) probably isn't a good choice for your vacation-- with all of the beauty of the desert, brings what lives in the desert. Be advised and make your decision accordingly. The flip side to being in the middle of the largest desert state park is that roadrunners will walk right up to you in the backyard and the night sky is mind-blowing-- so if you dig stargazing, be ready for the universe to romance you all night long! If you have any questions, please reach out! We are happy to accommodate you in any manor we are capable of :0).
This home is only one block from the de Anza Country Club neighborhood entrance so enjoy a nice bike ride or go for a walk... the desert is quite pleasant.
  • This is a super place to stay in Borrego Springs, the most pleasant California desert spot! (Palm Springs and Joshua Tree are so sceney and overpriced, and Borrego is so chill and gorgeous— no bumper to bumper traffic to see cactus, views unmarred by selfie sticks, though maybe I don’t really want everyone to know that). This is a great house to stay in— the structure really is 1957, and the decoration is thoughtful — the original kitchen is a treasure, and we so appreciated the period dinnerware. Comfortable beds, cotton sheets, good towels. The pool is attractive, the yard is spacious, and the neighborhood is good for walking. We really appreciated all the games and the books & DVDs about the area, too. Book it now— It’s just right!

  • As you can see from other other reviews, this is a great place to land in Borrego Springs. Brandon is A+ on the communication, so our trips have always been smooth and comfortable. This property is optimal for 6 people. The back space is great for afternoon lounging in the sun or doing your evening BBQ. One really great feature is the high efficiency clothes washer. You can pack light and quickly and efficiently wash your clothes and dry them in a hour on the laundry line. Also, they have accumulated a nice collection of bikes and the local golf community makes for nice rides. The kitchen is a bit limited and there is no dishwasher, so if cooking and dining are your vacation thing, then this property is somewhat limited.

  • Great place to stay in Borrego, loved the mid-century modern style!

Located inside a stunning rustic vintage trailer park"Casita" is a fiberglass trailer for two adults and maybe a small child. There is a sink, stove, small fridge, toilet + shower . The dinettes fold down to make a large bed for 2-3. Ceiling vent for ventilation. Additional public bathrooms, showers and laundry are located at the center of the trailer park. The RV park is located on the edge of the open desert bordering Anza Borrego State Park with spectacular views of the open desert.
Please read my reviews and the kind words guests have written about this location. If this trailer is booked I have 10 other listings in the same awesome vintage trailer park This trailer sits on a shared space with another trailer. The fire pit and seating area is shared with the trailer on the same space. • Retro is a very cool place to rest and relax in the desert.

    Phil2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Warren messaged me before check-in and asked if we would need additional blankets or pillows for our one night stay. He also let us know about our neighbor, who generously knocked on our door to ask if we needed anything else. The key inside the lockbox outside of the trailer made for an easy and quick arrival! You are also in the perfect location to stargaze, which is made even more pleasant with seating around a nice pit for a bonfire. Thank you for a great stay at Borrego Springs!

    Tran2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy! Warren was always available for whatever needed. Small fire place to relax and overall a nice stay. Would definitely recommend for other guests.

  • Tabby is a great little vintage trailer, with everything included. The park is quiet, safe and attractive, with beautiful desert view of Indian Head.

  • This was our second time back at Desert Sands RV Park. We loved it so much that we had to come back a second time...for our wedding! It was absolutely beautiful and all of our guests were so impressed by the trailers and Warren and Tammy’s hospitality. This place will always hold a special place in our heart, and we will be coming back now for years to come.
