  • Best trip ever under the circumstance for us. Skip treated us amazingly and accommodated us at every turn. Great history on the lot and wonderful amenities. There was a Hardees and Advance Auto parts store, 15 minutes away in Belhaven, that saved us on the 1st night and both Bath and Belhaven were beautiful. The cabin itself is a wonder. The bathroom is so Luxe. Bring bug spray or buy some in the dollar store 2 minutes away. Must visit and we will hopefully be back again to visit Skip, Neal and the wonderful dogs! Worth the trip, so happy with our stay.

  • Skip was the absolute best! The history of the area and the views were more than I could have hoped for!

  • Skip greeted us at check in with delicious homemade oatmeal raisin cookies and showed us around. He was so friendly and hospitable. The guest house was perfect for 2 people and had everything we needed! The property sits on a beautiful serene lake and we enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the sunset as well as soaking in the hot tub at night! Such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere and I would highly recommend going for a little getaway. :)

  • This place is an absolute gem. The hosts are absolutely amazing and kind. I came here to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a week and it was everything I dreamed of. The creek house is cozy and well appointed and the hot tub has a great view of the water and the stars at night. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again.

    Meaghan2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very beautiful and quiet stay. Our dogs loved swimming and relaxing on the pier with us. The hot tub was also a plus. Definitely would come back.

    Morgan2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Creek House is a lovely little studio (charmingly decorated) on Skip & Neal's beautiful bayside property. The hosts were kind and helpful and historical Bath with its surrounding flora and fauna and wildlfe areas was fabulous.

Our 500 square ft apartment space was inspired by local nautical history and Pinterest. You will see, we have hand built most of the items ourselves. Our goal is for you to enjoy your stay as much as we have enjoyed bringing this adorable space together. We love the area and the history. our desire is to represent the history with a whimsical approach, an interesting and fun side for your entertainment and pleasure.
PLEASE NOTE: 1. Because of the pitch of the roof, there are a couple places in the quarters with low clearance ceilings. Persons over 6’ 1 “ may not be comfortable and choose not to book. 2. Because the entrance to the quarters include a flight of stairs with 13 stairs , it is not “Handicapped Accessible”. ADDITIONAL DESCRIPTION This apartment comes with a cozy Captain's cabin and queen size bed along with a desk and work space, full size Head complete with shower and tub and fully stocked with amenities, a comfortable Saloon with overstuffed furniture, smart tv and Netflix or sign on with your personal TV app. I think you will be impressed with our handmade Galley complete with dishes, pots and pans, refrigerate and even though it does not come with a cooking stove, we have everything to make a meal such as convection oven with an air fryer, electrical burners, inside griddle, microwave and coffee maker. We are equipped to entertain the idea of extended stay. Our guest have access to our backyard, which has a privacy fence, a charcoal grill and a nice swing for a leisurely afternoon. We only ask that you keep the gate closed. We do have two small hypoallergenic overly friendly fur babies on the premises and they do have access to the back yard but they aren't allowed in the space upstairs. Unfortunately because access to the apartment is a stairway, we do not have handicap accessible. At this time it is possible to accommodate two people and an infant or small child.
The neighborhood is the great reasons we chose this house. We have wonderful neighbors who work together to keep it clean and safe. We like, respect and encourage our Neighborhood Watch. We are just across the street from XPLORE IBX Charters so book a tour on the river with Captain Scott and see the beautiful town of Washington from the water. If you're not into boating, we are approximately only 2 miles from our beautiful waterfront downtown Washington. While there you can explore the numerous shops, restaurants and boutiques downtown where you may just go home with that small treasure you couldn't find anywhere else. You might check out the Estuarium on the waterfront or perhaps you would enjoy sitting by the waterfront and waiting for one of the most beautiful sunsets on the water. This area is so rich in history dating back to the 17th century. There is so much here that I find it a very special space with never ending things to see and do. Beginning here in Washington, the history of the Civil War, the Underground railroad., the tobacco farms and cotton fields We are 14.3 miles from Historical Bath where you will find lots of history on Blackbeard and other historical figures. We are also 1 1/2 hrs or 105 miles from Nags Head and the Outer Banks with beautiful lakes, farmland and scenic drive in between. This list goes on and on, the beaches, the history, the ocean, the sound, the river, the beautiful lighthouses, the farms. and i’ve probably missed a few.

  • Can’t begin to explain how awesome patsy and Donald are. They were some of the sweetest people I’ve ever meet and made my stay wonderful. The apartment was super clean and very stylish with a touch of area history. The neighborhood they live is full of very friendly neighbors that watch out for you and each other. So it’s a very safe place to stay. Washington as a whole is a awesome little town that has a very homey feel to it. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone to book with Patsy and Donald!

    Logan2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Patsy and Donald’s was so great that I had to stay again! I wish I could have stay longer, but I will definitely be visiting once again. This Airbnb is a must - all around amazing!

    Nicole2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t even know where to begin. I happened upon Donald and Patsy’s place while traveling for work and it has exceeded my expectations. The apartment has been newly remodeled into a cozy, nautical space. It has everything you could need for a short or long term stay. I needed a long term stay due to work temporary work relocation and the apartment had all the furnishings and appliances needed to make it complete. While the apartment was clean, cozy, and cute, the truly exceptional part was the hospitality of Patsy and Donald. They are truly dedicated to making the stay feel like a home away from home and willing to be as involved as you would like them to be. I found it so sweet that they offered me lunches, dinners, and snacks. They even went out of their way to let me use their laundry room since I was a long term stay. Overall, they just want you to feel at home. I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am for landing upon Patsy and Donald’s place! I look forward to staying again.

About a 10-15 minute drive to ECU and Vidant. Short drive to fast food and shopping in Greenville. Home has a large fenced in back yard for privacy and relaxation. Far enough outside of town so you don’t have the hustle and bustle, quiet like the country. You’ll love it here! We have also added a pantry with affordable snacks if you don’t feel like going up town to grab something - all based off the honor system. Just leave the money in your room before checking out.
Home is close to fast food like McDonald’s, or Pizza Hut take out. Walmart is about 5 minutes and any other restaurants in Greenville. Close to ECU, Vidant hospital and the Greenville airport.

Nestled in the beautiful historic district of Washington, NC, your room at the When Pigs Fly Inn (located in the historic Frank A. Moss House) is a four-minute walk to, well, everything -- the Waterfront Boardwalk, the Civic Center, and the Washington Harbor District with its quaint shops and restaurants. Also, only a four minute drive to the Washington Airport; 30 minutes from Greenville and its airport and the ECU Campus; and, one hour away from Swan Quarter and the Ocracoke Ferry.
You will enjoy our Inn's large wrap around, brick-floored portico looking out onto a quiet garden and manicured lawn that you are welcome to use. Great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. There is a reading nook in the upstairs hallway just outside your second-floor room with an overstuffed chair that will change your life. The bed is queen-sized and your private full bathroom is recently updated. We have a fully stocked Keurig with complimentary coffee and tea available to you 24 hours a day. Also, there is a mini-fridge and microwave for your use just outside your room. Each bedroom door locks. And just a short four-minute walk away is the Washington Harbor District with its downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful waterfront. And please note: We have a very gentle indoor/outdoor cat, Milo.
Our Inn is located in Washington's Historic District in the same block as the Washington Civic Center; less than a block from the Pamlico River, and a short stroll from the Downtown Harbor District.
  • When I visited I was traveling alone, but I envisioned enjoying the beautiful gardens and lovely outdoor seating with my girlfriends—maybe have a book club weekend at When Pigs Fly. The room and hospitality was everything a charming Southern B&B should be.

We are on a quaint island in Bath. The Pamlico River provides peace and serenity. The River House has been decorated with our families memories and color is the theme. We love creativity and self care and hope you find that at the River House.

  • This was a second stay for my writing retreat group and the three of us loved Anne’s place once again. The views of the water, birds, sunrise, and sunset are absolutely stunning, the space itself is quiet and lovely, with bright, fun color and a sense of warmth that contributes to the ambiance and comfort. We got much work done, had good conversation and meals, and went out one night to Spoon River, a fabulous restaurant in Belhaven, where we were treated to complimentary champagne and desserts. Highly recommended. We can’t wait to go back again.

Cozy, quiet, private 2nd floor bedroom comes with a full, private bathroom. . . He is very quiet, rarely you'll see him but he is always there for you. You will have all the privacy that you want. The place is way much better than the pictures show. The house has ample of room, Wi-Fi is great, the kitchen is huge, and is beyond well equipped. Search around and you won't find a place that can get close to this gem!

  • It seems to be a quiet neighborhood with nice homes. Michael's home is peaceful, well decorated, welcoming. I did not venture onto the deck or into the backyard, but the view of it was tempting. It was only a couple of miles to Fire Tower Rd, and there is something for everyone there - restaurants, salons, shops, gyms..a very busy area. Michael's home is a cozy retreat and I may return.

  • Natalie and Tony were wonderful! They communicated well and met me at the boat to help get me oriented. I arrived it time just to catch the sunset on the dock and then enjoyed walking around downtown Washington. A great experience, and I hope to visit Disconnected again in the future!

  • Wonderful experience spending a few days as a boat dweller. The city amenities are exceptional and the friendliness of the other boaters provides a great sense of community. The town of Washington is such a gem. A very trendy place with locals who seem to appreciate the towns history and embrace thoughtful change and growth for the benefit of locals and visitors alike; without compromising the beauty and heritage of its past. I would recommend a trip to this town for anyone. It has something for everyone. Many thanks to Natalie and Tony for sharing their water bound home.

Nice quiet home on the outskirts of Greenville. Close to shopping, Walmart, food options and ECU sports!
  • I had to book this room on very quick notice (the day before) and Rebecca was extremely understanding and helpful in my situation. The room is spotless and looks exactly like the pictures. There is a Roku TV and plenty of DVD's to keep you entertained as well as some board games. The house is about 10 min east of Greenville and in a nice neighborhood. Check in was effortless and only required a code for both doors. Rebecca replied to all of my messages within 5 minutes MAX and was a welcoming host. The room is next to another air&b room and if someone is staying at the same time then the bathroom will have to be shared. We had no problems with this arrangement and never had to wait for the restroom. She has all the amenities that you could need and even a pantry for snacks / toiletries for a small price. I recommend to anybody hesitant about booking to go ahead and I promise you will not be disappointed. Also, the value is excellent since most other nearby places are at least double the price. Thanks again Rebecca!

  • The view cannot be beat! It was really great to have use of kayaks any time we felt like using them. The town of Bath is really cute and we were able to catch some amazing sunsets. Paul and his family were extremely friendly and sweet. The room itself was perfect for us and our dog. There was a well equipped kitchenette and everything was very clean! We will definitely come again. Thank you :)

    Bridget2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with a 4 and 12 year old at this place for 3 nights and it was fantastic! You have all the amenities you need, your right on the water, and everything you could want is within reach. Paul is very helpful, informative, and will make you feel at home from the moment you step out of your vehicle. We were able to save money by cooking meals in the home and eating right on the water. We launched our canoe for a trip around the waterways, fished and saw ducks and dolphins. You can walk to a small park, there is food across the street, and there is a Goose Creek State Park nearby for hiking and more. The kids didn’t want to leave they were having so much fun! Thank you Paul!

  • Brenda’s place was the cleanest, homeist stay I’ve ever had in an Airbnb. She’s friendly , secluded and wasn’t bothered at all during our stay! I’d recommend this place to anyone. If we are in the area, I’ll book her again! Everything smelt so nice & the little breakfast bars were amazing! Thank you again for hosting us!

Close to many interesting local towns for sight-seeing. We enjoyed the boat ramp being just a mile away. Very safe, secluded neighborhood.

  • Awesome cottage and such a great hostess. Brenda goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. She left us breakfast items, plenty of coffee/tea/juice, and fruit. Everything was very clean and it has very nice furnishings, as well as, fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils and dishes to be able to cook if you would like. It is a peaceful place, not being in town and we even seen deer on the drive back to the cottage. We will definitely stay in the cottage again when visiting our family.

Spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed and a couch, with en suite bathroom. The room is located on the second floor, there is no handicap access. This is a large historic home with a wrap around porch. Location is 3 blocks from the Washington Waterfront and Historic Downtown shopping and dining. Shared spaces include the foyer and parlor on the first floor, and the fenced in back patio area off the kitchen with full access to the hot tub. Another Airbnb room is on the first floor.
This Historic Victorian Home was completed in 1900 and is currently located within the Washington Harbor District and the Historic Business District along N Market Street. It is a short three block walk to Main Street and the waterfront. The spacious private bedroom and bath is located on the second floor; with shared access to the front porch, foyer, front sitting parlor, and fenced in back patio area with hot tub. Linens, towels, robes, and basic toiletries are located within the room. A coffee station is set up in the main hallway on the first floor.
The house is located in the Historic Downtown Business District of Washington. The sheriff’s station, fire department, and a church are in the general neighborhood. The other buildings are occupied mainly by daytime run businesses, i.e. lawyers and doctors. Market Street is a thoroughfare that links the Historic Downtown to 15th Street/Carolina Avenue (the more commercial side of town); fast food and sit-down restaurants can be found in both areas as well as other markets and businesses. Like most small towns, traffic quiets down after the work day has ended.
  • This is a true gem. Sparkling clean, unique, and extremely comfortable. This is a must stay in Washington, NC.

  • Charm and serenity! This aptly describes William’s home and Washington, NC on the Pamlico. Pleasant artifacts of past and present abound: a two person stereo viewer from a nostalgic era to William’s hand crafted pottery lamps and mugs. Town, home and water are seamless.

    Daniel2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is tops!! 5+ stars. An exceptional value: Impeccably clean. Geniunely comfortable. Beautiful (antique and artistic) touches. Inside and out: magical, serene > eye candy. Accommodating, first-rate hosts. And, amazingly accessible to Washington's historic downtown. Get ready to feel truly relaxed as you experience a step back in time.

  • We ended up staying in the 1st floor room which shares a similar footprint to this room in size and amenities. It was very spacious, yet cozy and quaint. We enjoyed the bathrobes, the soft sheets and the walk in shower with travel size natural soap and toiletries. There is also a nice sitting area and a vanity. The location is a stones throw from everything in adorable historic downtown. Lots of historic homes in the neighborhood to see. William & Thad were very helpful to tell us the different options for where to eat and even some historic tidbits about the town. You can tell they love where they live. We are charmed by the house, the room and Washington itself. We will be back!

    Emily2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay in Washington, walking distance to the waterfront and the best bakery in town. Room was furnished with all kinds of interesting fixtures and things. Bathroom was super clean but make sure your balance is good standing in the claw-foot tub. Will was full of information, local and remote. We'll have to return for more.

  • Great house for calm relaxation on the water - nice boat dock and an inground pool in a quiet private neighborhood. They have everything you need to catch and eat blue crabs at the house. Small marina with grill, gas and bait nearby. A couple of restaurants within walking distance and plenty within a 20 minute drive.

  • If you’re thinking about staying here, just do it! A relaxing, laid back weekend doesn’t even begin to capture our time in Bath. We swam, kayaked, sat out of the porch and enjoyed quality time with our friends. Carol and Larry are the most responsive and attentive hosts. Their home was beautiful and clean. We hope to stay with you again!

    Christina2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Larry were wonderful to work with! Their home exceeded our expectations. Having a pool is such an added bonus and the sunsets are absolutely stunning! My sons fished for hours off of the dock. We caught spot, drum, perch, many crabs and even a couple of eels! We saw numerous turtles and had a pod of dolphins swim upstream right by the dock one evening. A memorable experience and we hope to return!

Everything cleaned thoroughly with bleach, anti-viral sanitizers.
This tiny house is located in the back yard of my 1865 historic house located near the corner of Hancock Street and Broad Street in downtown New Bern. The entire place is at your disposal and is very private.
The tiny house is located in the heart of New Bern's Historic District next to the Fireman's Museum within an easy 2 minute walk to downtown.
  • It was our first time staying in a tiny house and it was a cool place. You have to make sure you really like the person you’re staying with because it’s definitely tiny! The location was excellent, the communication was excellent, the bed was super comfortable, and it had a cool vibe to it. The biggest difficulty was trying to eat together because there’s no space and no table or TV trays to use. It’s a tight fit with two people on the loveseat if you’re trying to eat. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would consider again on our next trip to New Bern.

Built in 1913, this historic site was originally the Norfolk-Southern Cafe and was located next door to the train depot. In the 1930s, the building was the site of small grocery stores and meeting spaces, eventually becoming a popular coffee shop called "The Coffee Caboose". In 2019, the space was converted into a private house, located steps from the waterfront and downtown dining and shopping. We sincerely invite you to come and enjoy the Original Washington and become a part of our history.
The Caboose is a studio unit complete with a queen bed, two futon sleeper couches, living area, kitchenette with refrigerator and gas stove, a washer and dryer and a full private bath with shower. For your convenience parking and wi-fi are complimentary. We are open to longer stays to those traveling for work and needing extended stay accomodations. We also own and operate the AirBnB property next door called "The Sleeper Car" which you can view here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/11677186?guests=1&adults=1 We look forward to having you and please let us know if you have any questions at all!
Take a stroll on the boardwalk, through our historic district or simply sit by the river and take in the beauty of Eastern NC. If you are arriving by boat, you can dock at the free city docks and walk the short distance to the Caboose. Our convenient location puts you at the center of many outdoor activities too. The Belle of Washington offers sailing cruises, dinner cruises or stunning sunset cruises. You will be a short drive away from 7 wildlife refuges and several state parks. Learn about our vital estuaries and coastal rivers at the NC Estuarium, Rent a kayak and explore Castle Island or the back creeks with their cypress, Spanish moss, and the coastal wildlife, hike the trails of Goose Creek State Park, cycle the endless country roads or bike a shorter jaunt exploring the city's beautiful neighborhoods. Whether you are visiting for business, a nearby event or just to escape a hectic lifestyle, The Caboose offers you convenience with all the amenities you need and an opportunity to experience the genteel southern way of life.

Spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed. The room has en suite bathroom. The room is located on the first floor, there is no handicap access. This is a large historic home with a wrap around porch. Location is 3 blocks from the Washington Waterfront and Historic Downtown shopping and dining. Shared spaces: the foyer and front parlor on the first floor, and the fenced in back patio area off the kitchen with full access to the hot tub. We also offer an Airbnb room on the second floor.
This Historic Victorian Home was completed in 1900 and is currently located within the Washington Harbor District and the Historic Business District along N Market Street. It is a short three block walk to Main Street and the waterfront. The spacious private bedroom and bath is located on the first floor; with shared access to the front porch, foyer, front sitting parlor, and fenced in back patio area with hot tub.

Imagine being on your front porch in your swing surrounded by water, canal on the right, canal on the left and a straight ahead view of Pamlico River in a cozy home away from home! This house was built 3 years ago by Mike McVearry a customer builder on the outer banks who built this cozy house for his weekend get-a-ways. In addition to the house you have a fishing pier straight out in front of the property with crab pots included and on the side canal you have a 50 ft boat dock.
Located on Kilby Island, this property sits alone on a peninsula lot on the Pamlico River, with canals on both sides.
  • Nice cabin - great location. Go here if you want to disconnect and enjoy some real quiet!

    Ahmed2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a vacation, if relaxing is your goal. View of inlet and river is beautiful, and it is very quiet and peaceful overall. Lots of birds, fish, dolphins, turtles, and the typical bugs. Bring your chairs, food, something to combat the bugs, and fishing pole, if that’s your gig, and you will be ready to relax and wave at the neighbors driving by in their boats.

    Kim2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you enjoy an out of the way place like we do, you’ve found what you’re looking for. Great views, nice house, great docks, quiet location, pet friendly and kind waves from neighbors. Communication was fantastic, and the listing was accurate. Bring your family, food and your favorite pup, and enjoy the river life!

The bed is king-sized and your private full bathroom is recently updated.
  • We had delightful visit at When Pigs Fly Inn and highly recommend it to others. The Inn was lovely with lots of beautiful and thoughtful touches, but our favorite part about our stay were the hosts, Jeff and Linda. They not only welcomed us warmly into their home and were incredibly friendly and helpful with tips for meals and navigating the town, but they also gave us our space -which is rare combination. We will certainly recommend When Pigs Fly Inn to our family and friends!!

    Rodney2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed with Jeff and Linda several times now. Their place is more than somewhere to stay. If you're on vacation it will be a distinct and pleasurable memory from that trip. On business, more than a respite - an enhancement to your sense of well-being.

This is for the adventurous type. Staying on the water in a very Historical town with many sites to explore. This will be a vacation to remember. Lots of restaurants close to the docks. Private bath and toilets available. You will be close to all the activity going on in the city. Nearby park and beautiful sunsets along the waterfront boardwalk. You will be impressed by our small town feel and the hospitality of everyone. Right next to downtown with all the unique shops just waiting for you.
This is a 31 foot Cruiser and it sleeps six people. It is located right on the waterfront in Washington NC. You will love the atmosphere and the sunsets are incredible
Located on the Boardwalk downtown Washington near all the local shops, restaurants, and museums
  • Jay was a very accommodating relaxed host with lots of local information. He made me feel right at home. I would definitely go back.

  • Cozy little boat that’s convenient to everything in downtown Washington. Plenty of food and shopping within walking range. Would recommend using the public dock showers (very spacious and well kept) vs the in-cabin shower on the boat, which can be a bit cramped. Jay provided us with plenty of bedding and a cute welcoming basket with goodies in it, as well as stocked the fridge with sodas. Perfect for a weekend getaway or a fun trip with your little one!

  • Historic building decorated in similar theme, warm hospitality, local tips and pleasant stay! Couldn't have picked a better location to be the hub of the 3 wedding events! Loved the coffee and free bottle water option, the bed was very comfortable, great lighting in bathroom for makeup application for event, loved the full length mirror, it did get a little cold which is to be expected in an older house once snuggled under comfy bed linens all was good. Love the thoughtful functionality of the door stopper on felt so not to make noise while sliding on floor, the bathroom sink hot water takes a bit to get to warm but it's an old house and probably has different pipe layout, as expected. Wish we saw their cat Milo more :) We ate at Down on Main. I had Cajun blackened tuna dream pasta, it was outstanding! As was the buffalo sauce shrimp app. Thanks for recommending! I appreciated the clear instructions and ease of checking in and out. SO nice you had 2 locks on the bedroom door! The hangers in closet were wonderful add! And your shampoo smells amazing, love the tea tree and mint. It ended up being a great visit far less stress bc great location. Beautiful stairs. Would be even better in warm weather but we didn't get to enjoy outdoor amenities, too cold. The shower heated up great and had great water pressure. We were able to carry a key with us to get in and out of house and bedroom. Windows had blinds and curtains for nice light blocking at night. Love the energy efficient toilet. Thoughtful area of read a book, take a book, give a book nook. Cute idea! Easy to communicate with and friendly hosts. Thanks again for a great stay! So close to the water for a beautiful stroll.

  • We stayed here for 2 nights while exploring the New Bern area. It's an apartment over a garage in a quiet, safe, older neighborhood. Narrow steps lead to the space. Very clean, the bed is very comfortable, and very convenient to downtown. The fridge, the Keurig, and the lighted vanity mirror were nice touches! Better than a hotel!

Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and other attractions are located within an easy drive of our house. The towns of Bath, Belhaven, Plymouth and Washington are close by and offer tourism interests and 5 star dining! A quick Google of the area tells all! The center of these towns is our community of Terra Ceia, that’s Dutch for “beautiful land”. Peony and tulip farms adorn us seasonaly, amazing sunsets daily, and we have the best stargazing from the last dark sky on the east coast! Visit us!
Each bedroom has a private bath.
Miles of scenic country roads for motorcycles and cyclists. Walking trails are located everywhere in our area offering multi cultural and historical values, such as Bath, NC, the oldest township and home to Blackbeard the pirate. Many more opportunities await!
  • Jennifer's place is very nice! Much bigger than the pictures indicate. She had lots of extras you don'tusually find in rentals. Very quiet location but only 20 minutes from Goose Creek State Park, a little further to Pettigrew State Park and 50 minutes from Mattamusket National Wildlife Refuge. There is a grocery store very close called Acre Station Meat Farm, no need to drive to Bellhaven for groceries but great places for restaurants. We had a great time!

  • Jennifer’s AirBnB was a great place to stay while I was working in eastern NC. Check in was a breeze and the house is very charming. Unique waterfront cottage provides comfort and privacy amid the beauty of nature. Ideal for boating, kayaking, fishing, birding and relaxing getaways. 30 min from Washington, NC, near Bath and Belhaven. Swan Quarter ferry to Ocracoke is a 40 minute drive away. 1.4 acre private wooded lot with dock and boat slip. Exceptional views of North Creek and the Pamlico River. Dock with fish cleaning table. Two kayaks available. Dolphins swim right past the house! Kitchen completely updated in May 2018!
Sublime living in a natural setting! The Boathouse was built in 1985--originally used as a space to refurbish and build sailboats. It is a wonderfully simple and comfortable structure: 600 sq. ft of interior quarters are nestled inside the 2400 sq. ft. barn that is an outside living and working space. Boaters of all kinds will enjoy the easy put in, safe harbor and direct access to the waters of North Creek, the Pamlico River and Sound, and the Intracoastal Waterway. Put your boat over on the 12’ boat ramp at Potter’s Marina, less than 300 yards from the cottage, and secure it in our boat slip for the weekend or week. Expansive property with 200’ bulkhead and 20’ x 30’ boat slip. Exceptional views of North Creek to the east and the Pamlico River to the South. Dock with fish cleaning table, water and power. Two kayaks for use with paddles and life vests. Ping-pong table, croquet and bocce sets! Ideal for fishing, boating, birding--very peaceful with spectacular waterviews. Dolphins swim right past the house! Explore Bath (oldest town in NC), Belhaven's lovely waterfront (don't miss the Belhaven Museum), Washington's lively downtown and riverwalk (NC Estuarium), take the free ferry to Aurora's Fossil Museum or the longer Swan Quarter ferry to Ocracoke. A perfect place to unplug and discover the beauty of North Carolina's Inner Banks!
Our place is on Credle Point. The Credle family farmed and fished off this land and water for generations and many of their descendants still live in the area. Along this section of North Creek, there are four houses to our north and one to our south. The lane dead-ends at a sailboat marina with boat ramp. Beautiful landscapes, very friendly neighbors!
  • The boathouse was amazing! Spent hours on the screened in porch and on the pier. The house was charming and had everything we needed to make home cooked meals. The historic part of bath was just minutes away . It truly is a treasure. Mig was an amazing host, and the Boathouse was a perfect getaway. Would definitely recommend staying, if you need an escape.

  • This is such an amazing place. This is our second time staying here. It is isolated private and cozy. Nice neighborhood on both sides. I would recommend this property to anyone who loves to fish . Mig is prombt to respond to any questions you may have. She is a wonderful host. We are grateful she shared her lovely home with us. I have no complaints. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • This was our second trip to the boathouse and it did not disappoint! Such unique accommodations! Very relaxing space, exceptionally clean and well furnished with every need. Super comfortable bed. We especially appreciated the boat dock and enjoyed being able to leave our boat in the water while we were there. Definitely plan to return!

  • This is the dream that airbnb is made of, a home away from home! We fished on the dock every night and stayed in complete comfort! The area itself is very quiet and remote but that was exactly what we wanted. The concept of the apartment in a boathouse is spectacular and done perfectly! Loved our getaway! Everything we needed was there!

    Laura2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the boathouse! We loved using the kayaks, and enjoying the waterfront. The home was very clean, and had everything we needed including lots of kitchen supplies. Great communication from Mig and good local recommendations. Lots of space and privacy. Hope to come back!

  • Nice get away cottage for privacy. Great view of the river and wildlife. We saw a few dolphins swim by. We loved the crabbing and the fishing. Friendly people and the neighbor took us on a fishing boat trip. Would definitely consider going there again.

  • What a wonderful place and unique concept...a house inside the boathouse! We loved everything about this place. We brought our pontoon and used Potter’s Marine ramp just down the lane-only $5 total to put in and take out the boat. Then, used the awesome boat slip at the house. Great cookware - which you don’t often find. We loved the screened in porch and ate some of our meals there. Great beds and very clean. Thank you, Mig! Can’t wait to return.

  • Great small, cute airbnb for a short or long term stay. It was exactly what my husband and I needed to explore the area for retirement. The kitchen was well stock and we ate in most of the time. The area is very safe and we walked around the block several times a day. There is a small park very close to the location which is a nice way to see the river and sit and relax. New Bern is very close, just over the bridge and is a great town to explore. The coast is about an hour away and we took several day trips to the Outer Banks. Melody is an excellent hostess and the place is immaculately clean and well stocked. Thanks Melody for a great stay.

  • Melody’s place is exactly what you read in the description and see in the photos. The decor is dated but the place is spotless and has a lot of upgrades including WiFi and Smart TV. The bathroom is modernly renovated and there was soap and shampoo staged for use. Overall it was a great value and I’d book again! Melody is a very responsive host and courteous too.

  • Wonderful host and place

  • I decided to ring in the 2020 New Year in New Bern, and found Melody's cottage to be quaint and very well taken care of. The style of the place reminds me of a beach house my family used to go to when I was younger, which hit me with nostalgia the moment I walked in, but as I continued to check the place out, I could see that they have made improvements in all of the important places, creating a nice mix of old and new. Melody offered a lot of great recommendations and advise for where to go and what to do in New Bern. It was a quick drive across the bridge to get to town and when I decided to turn in a little early, I was excited to learn that the sound of the live music playing in the street carrys across the bay and can be heard surprisingly well from the cottage. A great way to cap off a wonderful evening!

  • Melody's house is a cozy and comfortable. It is worthy if you travel to New Bern and wish to live in some quite place. The location of the house was close to the downtown. The kitchen was convenient. Melody was very thoughtful by leaving some useful sightseeing tips. The A/C was quite and warm enough.

  • This was my second time staying in Melody’s cottage while in New Bern for a class, and again, her home was perfect! The kitchen has everything you need, the house is spotless, and the roku with “guest mode” is great for watching Netflix etc on a real TV. Melody also has a long list of local recommendations for guests which we took advantage of. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in town!

  • Natalie is a wonderful host and provides literally a "Home away from home". With the weather conditions on the night before and the day of arrival, she went above and beyond to accomadate us. The house is older and she and Tony have done an excellent job of updating it and making it very comfortable. Communication was very fast and effective with good information and all questions answered. All the personal touches were very appteceated. With six people in our party, we were able to enjoy the stay and not feel cramped at all. I look forward to staying again soon.
