Zaandam Center Home

BarnabyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Thi's place in Zaandam and had a wonderful experience. The home is spacious, well-equipped with amenities, and very comfortable. The spiral staircase was definitely our favourite feature and a highlight of the house. The house is also conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to travel to Amsterdam. We'd happily stay here again and 100% recommend Thi as a host!

Tiny House Beverwijk/Amsterdam Baby Welcome

Stefanie Maria AndreaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My boyfriend, our four-legged friend and I stayed at Berrie's house for less than 5 days. It is a very nice little cottage with a mostly paved garden. The sun shines really nicely on the sitting area in the garden and invites you to linger. The living room is brighter and friendlier than it looks in the photos:) The beach can be reached in about an hour on foot.. by car it only takes less than 20 minutes. The public connection to Amsterdam includes a 15-minute walk to the train station and about 40 minutes by train, which takes you directly to the main train station. So if you are looking for a quiet beautiful area between Amsterdam and the beach, this is the place to be:) We highly recommend Berrie's house!

Dear Luis and Carla, We loved our stay in your beautiful home so much. I'm sorry my husband got sick and we had to ask you to stay a little longer. You welcomed us so kindly and explained everything clearly in advance. We will definitely come back if we need to be nearby and look for an overnight stay. Thank you for everything! Henny and Jm

Lovely, clean spacious home in a residential area of Haarlem. Ideally situated and convenient for supermarkets and restaurants and easy walk / bus ride to the centre of Haarlem and then into Amsterdam. Great if you want to get away from the business of Amsterdam but enjoy a Dutch city. Bram was very responsive to all communication. Would recommend!

ApartHotel De Koning by Urban Home Stay

Anna-LenaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay in Alkmaar and in the apartment! The communication with Diwa was great, she welcomed us, gave us a lot of useful information, we could always contact her and she was super friendly. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. It has a beautiful balcony and a great view. We loved, that it’s located in the middle of the city with nice cafés around the corner. For parking there are good options that Diwa told us about. We totally recommend staying in Diwas apartment and would love to come back!

Exquisite designed apartment | 63 m2 | Long stay

DouglasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Hayko and Nerys are great hosts! Very communicative and helpful. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood. The surrounding construction is NOT a bother and noise from it does not reach the apartment. The apartment is amazing - well appointed, clean, and functional. We enjoyed relaxing in the apartment after a long day of sightseeing and we made a number of our own meals in the kitchen. Plenty of pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc. The Nespresso works well, as well as the hot water kettle. Most of Amsterdam is very easy to access from this apartment. The tram is the easiest - no tickets, just use your credit card or Apple/Google pay to get on/off. Same with the buses, but they run less frequently. The 1e Coehoornstraat Tram Stop (#7 line) is an easy 5 minute walk from the apartment. There are 2 grocery stores also about a 5 minute walk, Albert Heijn and Odin (health food store). Highly recommend staying here, for the apartment and the vibe. Thank you Hayko and Nerys!

BEACHHOUSE WITH SEAVIEW

DarrylRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Perfectly located apartment to explore Zandvoort. The apartment is located on the main strand, right in front of the beach and all the beach clubs. The fact that it comes with parking makes it super convenient. The apartment itself is perfect for a couple. We stayed for 4 days and it was a perfect base to enjoy the area. Highly recommended!

Cozy beachfront apartment central in town

PetrRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Very good accomodation for the last minute booking for high season! On the beach, with big balcony and very close to all you need, direct in the center of the town. Parking is paid, bur directly near the entrance. Also you can park in 15 minutes walk free of charge. No place for our clothes in the bedroom, but we stay only 2 nights and it is not critical. Self check-in and self check-out is very comfortable!

Woonboot / Houseboat

CharlesRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely time on Peter's houseboat. The location is great. Only a 15 minute walk to the station and the center yet incredibly peaceful. Everything we needed was available and we enjoyed the first rays of the spring sun on the dock in front of the houseboat. The daily visit from a group of geese was quite the highlight for our little boy. Peter welcomed us when we first arrived and was very accommodating and responsive to our questions. We explored the corners of Utrecht and beyond with the bike and can only recommend this lovely city. So many beautiful historic buildings, lovely canals and quaint little cafes and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

We enjoyed the stay on the houseboat! A wonderful spot on the water with a Superhost! Nice rooms, fun games and plenty to do nearby. We have enjoyed the tranquility in the immediate surroundings of Amsterdam. It was wonderful "coming home" on the ark after a busy day in the city. Marie Louise is very cozy and helpful and always ready to help! Really fantastic!!!@

Your guide to Amsterdam

All About Amsterdam

Whether you’re snacking on sweet stroopwafels and browsing the antiques at Noordermarkt or taking in a boundary-pushing dance performance at a local theater, Amsterdam combines old and new at every turn. You’ll find world-class museums, including the Anne Frank House and the Rijksmuseum, 17th-century canal houses, stunning industrial architecture, and vibrant cafes overlooking the city’s famous canals — where the water can turn into makeshift ice rinks in the winter. The canal district of Nine Streets showcases independent boutiques, while the city’s major squares, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, are brimming with nightlife. If you’re looking for some greenery, Hortus Botanicus is one of the world’s oldest botanical gardens.

For a bird’s eye view of the city, head to the panoramic observation deck of the multi-use space A’dam Lookout where you can also ride on Europe’s highest swing, Over the Edge, more than 325 feet above ground.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Amsterdam

For a kaleidoscopic show of famous Dutch tulips, head to your Amsterdam rental in the spring. This is also when you’re less likely to encounter rain, although the city’s weather is famously hard to predict — an umbrella and waterproof jacket are musts here. Summer brings everyone outside, whether they’re biking into the surrounding countryside, soaking up some sun on a canal boat, or chilling at a waterfront café. Koningsdag (King’s Day) on April 27 is a national celebration of epic proportions. Join the locals by dressing in orange — the color of the Netherlands — and soaking up the festive atmosphere as people line the canals and set up stalls outside their homes. Later in the year, June gathers international artists and musicians all month long for the Holland Festival. During winter time, Amsterdam’s oceanic climate brings cold, blustery weather.

Top things to do in Amsterdam

Electric Ladyland

Tucked away behind the Anne Frank House and beneath an art gallery, Electric Ladyland claims to be the first museum dedicated to fluorescence. Head here for in depth insight into the science behind phosphorescence, from small-scale minerals to all-encompassing experiences where you become part of the art. Just be sure to book ahead, as appointments are the only way to visit.

Amsterdamse Bos

This 2,500-acre forest is one of Europe’s largest city parks. Here you’ll find miles of walking and cycling paths, pretty bridges to stroll across, as well as areas for hockey, tennis, cricket, football, and swimming. Plus there are a number of spots here for refueling and relaxing, including cafes, restaurants, and a spa.

Amsterdam-Oost

This vibrant East Amsterdam district strikes a balance between historic and hip. Sandwiched between the Amstel Canal and the historic Jewish Quarter, you’ll find galleries featuring work by Dutch creatives, a stunning concert hall, and restaurants featuring cuisine from around the world. You could easily spend a day here wandering past the grand fountains in Oosterpark, going shopping at the area’s vintage and design-focused stores, browsing the 100-year-old street market known as Dappermarkt, grabbing a coffee at a canal cafe, and checking out the quirky bars and breweries.
