The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

What a tremendous place to stay! This is certainly a magic spot and for 80% of the time the weather was accommodating and gave us the opportunity to explore this part of the coastline. The diving in the bay itself is on the average side unless you like Kina and there are few fish inshore but the visibility is good and boat fishing pretty phenomenal. The house is immaculate, spacious, warm and includes many things you would not expect from short term accommodation. We were even able to bake to cake! Barry's communication was top notch and they really went the extra mile to make sure we got the most enjoyment out of our trip. Hard to fault a thing. Thanks again- will definitely be back again- hopefully with a boat!!

Thank you for sharing your space with us. My family of 5 stayed two nights, wish we had stayed a little longer. Beautiful views where we stayed in the caravan and tent. Another great stay at Chris place. The weather was against us, but even with it being wild and woolly we still enjoyed ourselves.

It is a fabulous place to stay for families and the additional equipment that they have for the families to use is amazing. The setting is glorious and outlook is stunning. The Bay its self is very safe for children to undertake water activities. The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond with additional options for linen because of the rainy weather conditions. We would have no hesitation in booking to stay again.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

The cottage has a gorgeous view - such a treat to wake up to it every morning. Really spacious and ideal for a couple. Short drive away from some amazing beaches. Thank you, Kathy!

Lawrence's place is the perfect base to explore Pahia, Waitangi and Russel. We had a very comfortable stay. So good to be right at the wharf and near the restaurants and shops of Pahia

This is such a lovely place to stay. So central and easy to walk all around Piahia. Place was beautifully presented, beds were very comfortable. We had a great time and my girls were sad when it was time to go home.

Rhys and Kas’s home exceeded every expectation we had. The view is truly beyond words—something you have to experience to believe. From sunrise to sunset, it felt like living in a postcard. The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The short walk to the beach was one of our favorite parts—just a few minutes through a gorgeous, peaceful trail that felt like a hidden gem. Our kids loved it, and we soaked in every moment as a family. Rhys and Kas were an exceptional hosts—kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. This home offered us the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. We can’t recommend it enough and would come back in a heartbeat!

Wow, we have truly enjoyed staying at Clive’s beautiful home, located on a gorgeous beach. The location was phenomenal, steps away from the beach with amazing views of the water and sunsets. The home is equipped with all the necessities, very spacious yet cozy, the floor to ceiling windows provide the best views from the living room and kitchen. We are already looking forward to coming back, we had such a wonderful experience.

It’s worth it to pay here. Me and my family love the place.

The most serene beautiful location. Felt like a million miles from anywhere but best brekkie and coffee just steps from the door and a general store a couple of minutes away with everything you could need. Bed to die for, luxury linens and towels. Possibly the cleanest place EVER. thank you gavin, a perfect stay in a beautiful location.

By far, the best airbnb experience we’ve ever had! My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and everything was perfect, we felt so comfortable and at home at the place. Wendy went above and beyond, and made it extra special by picking up flowers so I could surprise my wife upon arrival. The place is beautiful, with amazing views and Wendy and Mike were fantastic hosts. They were so helpful and welcoming to us. And last but not least, the fresh baked bread each morning was delicious! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend them to anyone staying in the area.

We could not recommend Katharine’s place enough! It is one of the best airbnbs we have stayed at. We were absolutely stunned by the breathtaking views of Matauri Bay - that you can see from nearly every angle of the home. The home is beautifully furnished inside and out and has everything you need and more. The peace, quiet and privacy of the home make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed the ease of access to the beach and the well thought out features of the home such as the outdoor shower. Katharine was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Absolutely stunning Airbnb, one of if not the best we’ve ever stayed in (we’re doing a round the world trip so have stayed in a lot by now)! It was absolutely pristine, we felt like we were checking into a 5* hotel with the quality of the beds, linens, towels etc. It is genuinely nicer than the photos and more spacious, and it was so appreciated that Anita had some provisions and snacks like milk, chocolates, crisps and fruit there for us when we arrived. Anita is lovely and so friendly! She kindly greeted us at check in, showed us around and how everything works, and gave us some fantastic local recommendations which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the coastal trail to Paihia and getting the car ferry across the bay to go to Russell. The views over the bay, watching the boats come and go, are stunning. We didn’t use the BBQ that’s on the balcony but would have if we’d stayed longer, which I wish we had! Overall we couldn’t fault this place, and HIGHLY recommend staying

An absolute dream house! Stunning apartment with a gorgeous view. You definitely feel like spending a holiday with style :) Breakfast at Seaside restaurant are mind blowing! Best coffee in town. Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.

What a beautiful location and fantastic AirBnB! The views from the property are stunning and the place itself is very private. The grounds are just amazing. Short walk to the private beach with access to kayaks and SUPs was a massive plus. Although we got hit by cyclone Tam during our stay this was a very cosy place to ride it out and Lisa was always responsive and helpful with questions. Would definitely recommend!

Simply a spectacular setting and a very cosy, tidy, clean and well equipped bach. Very responsive and friendly owners too, so nothing to complain at all.
