Quiet Country Setting

The apartment is approximately 3 miles from downtown Gettysburg and Gettysburg College and about 12 minutes from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitors Center on Baltimore Street. It is only 5 minutes from the reenactment site on Pumping Station Rd and also about 12 minutes from Liberty Mountain Resort. Other popular wedding venues nearby: Hauser Estate Winery, Adams County Winery, Lodges, Rock Creek Farm, Links. The apartment is close to everything yet in a quiet setting.

Civil War Farm House w/Heated (seasonal) Pool

Welcome to this historical Civil War Farm House. This stone home built in 1861 by Christian Shriver and was actively used as a field hospital during the war. Mrs Shriver prepared General Reynolds his breakfast on the first day of the battle (which he was killed). The Durboraw's moved here in the early 1890's and have remained here on the farm ever since. Please note, pool is open seasonably mid-May through mid- Sept. Please inquire to its opening/closing if booking around these times.

Rolande’s guest suite was the perfect fit for our trip to Taneytown. She was very friendly and responded quickly when I had to communicate. I had to check in late at night and it was simple and easy to understand/find. Everything was exceptionally clean and free of clutter. When visiting Taneytown I will definitely be staying here again. Fantastic property, fantastic hosts. A+. So many amenities, nothing was overlooked. Very clean and orderly. Loved the layout. Screened in porch was perfect, patio, hot tub, use of kayaks, freshly baked bread, entire interior was awesome. I’m telling you, nothing was overlooked in making our stay so memorable. Thinking about booking? Do it now. You won’t regret it. This can’t be beat.

Gettysburg Farmhouse on 82 acres

We were in town for a volunteer event and the property was perfect for us! As an old farmhouse, it had the feel of Gettysburg. (IYKYK) The interior was clean and the books and memorabilia really added to the stay. It is within earshot of a major highway, but with the air conditioners on we never noticed. Also, the bedroom layout worked great for us, but two of them are connected with the only way to the second one is through the first. Not an issue for us, but if you had 3 couples staying, just be aware. We loved the spot and the convenience to the battlefield and town. The multiple, spacious sitting rooms were great to unwind after long days. We will definitely stay here again without hesitation!! Greg was a great host. Very responsive throughout the entire process!

The pictures don't do this cabin any justice. It was so beautiful and peaceful there! We seen lots of wildlife every morning. It was close to all the places we wanted to go and see. We felt right at home during our stay. We plan on staying again when we return to gettysburg. Chad was very responsive.
