Wow, what a great, almost magical stay at FouFou Cottage! Thank you for the reception Fantastic in the middle of nature, the lizard has flung through the bedroom and the birds have breakfast. The place is as in the photos, everything is available so you can spend a pleasant stay, including a fantastic view. Rental car 4x4 definitely required, can also be rented through the property. We were even picked up from the ferry. Supermarkets/ shopping and restaurants in the immediate vicinity < 20 min drive. As I said, we felt very comfortable and can fully agree with the other positive reviews!!!

Derick's house is very spacious and its main asset is the view of the sea which is beautiful. Her aunt welcomed us very warmly. You are close to Roseau but without the road disturbances, sometimes roosters can bother you, but this is the case throughout the island. We were so happy to spend a week at Derick's!

The accommodation is perched surrounded by nature and it is very relaxing. The view is amazing with the sunset in the evening. When you arrive at the accommodation you will have the pleasure of finding local coffee. The location is ideal for hiking departure: freshwater lake, boeri lake, boiling lake, middleham falls. On the Boiling lake road <15 min walk you will find the Mon Plezi cafe where you can buy cakes, sodas and beers, but also sandwiches for hiking (you can book them the day before, 10 EC $ per unit) and dishes to eat on site or to take away (20 EC $ the dish), it's very good and they are very welcoming. Before you arrive, consider shopping because the only place you could buy food would be the sunshine minimart 5 min walk away but we never saw it open in 4 days (despite our visits at different times). Finally the bus to Roseau is a 10 min walk, departure at 7am.

We loved our time on Dominica, and Caapi Cottage was a perfect retreat. We stayed at Tim and Jessica’s property for four of our nine days. The cottage, decks, gardens, and pool, were magical, and the location is ideal for exploring southern Dominica while providing a peaceful escape from the capital. Tim and Jessica are excellent hosts, generously sharing their love and knowledge of Dominica. The Wi-Fi was reliable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the bed was firm. For birdwatching, flora, and fauna, you won’t need to leave the property! Our favorite moment was after a heavy rain when river crabs visited us from the waterfall below our deck. Dominica is an incredible island that could take months to fully explore. We felt lucky to connect with Tim and Jessica and enjoy this beautiful place. We hope to return for more adventures. Practical Tip: 4WD preferred, but AWD vehicle worked fine for us; 2WD and those without transportation may find this location difficult to access, during rain

Sharlyn's home was the ideal location for our week of festivities in Dominica. It was a short walk to all the things we needed- grocery, events, food, etc. and was a comfortable homebase for rest and recovery. Sharlyn was a great host. She was easy to reach as needed and always responsive. I found her to be quite delightful to communicate with. Our small group would certainly stay here again!

Shannon was an exceptional host, friendly, very responsive to any questions that we had. Her place was pristine, applicances up to date, spotless, and we felt secure and right at home in the 2 nights that we spent in Roseau, Dominica. The Airbnb was in town and close to nearby restaurants, the ferry terminal and supermarkets, all the entertainment we needed around us. We will be sure to visit and book once with Shannon. This is much more than just a place to stay, it's an experience. Yes, you will need to hike/zip line in and out every day if you don't plan to stay on site, but I found that enjoyable and contributed to the feeling of a private paradise. The premises is beautiful, and you have your own private beach on the river with a nice swim hole loaded with little jumping fish. Melissa offers what I would consider a 5-star dining experience with optional breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's like having your own chef. Most of the fruits and veggies she uses are grown in their gardens on site. After our first meal, the decision was easy to eat every meal we could there. They gave us great ideas on how to make the most of each day we had on the island, with maps, detailed directions along with the best places for lunch. They helped make a great vacation even better. I felt like the Melissa and Andy were instant friends. I can't wait to go back!
