Monthly Rentals in Roque Negro, Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Very friendly host and exceptional airbnb like no other. You wonder how a place so remote has hot water. The cave has a breathtaking 270 degree vista of the forested mountain ranges as the cave itself is nestled inside a mountain top. You will be captivated by the view and just watch and watch on end. Amazing 2/3 h hike from here to the sea via the official white/yellow trail. However, beware if you follow the same trail up the mountain from the cave. There are dangerous parts with steep falls and wire ropes to grab. The only downside was the unusually wet season we encountered which made the cave cold and damp.

I spent one night at this place and the experience was generally very positive. The area is very quiet and clear directions. ideal to rest and disconnect. The place was clean and well maintained. I recommend it.

We stayed here for a week in April and it was perfect. The biggest selling point is the location. If you like it remote (yet walking distance from the village) this ticks all the boxes. There are no neighbours really, the house is on a flank (and part of it) and the views are the best. Getting there is part of the charm, it involves narrow dirt roads, 1st gear driving, and for the last bit a 1-minute uphill walk to the house itself (backpack > suitcase). I can't imagine a better location. If you're on the island to party and booze, this would not be your first choice though :-). On the first day, Esperanza awaited us in the village and she showed us the way to the house which was very useful! The house has a rustic feel (almost a bit like glamping) but is also very comfortable with good amenities incl. super fast wifi, a few terraces etc. We did several walks from the house and especially loved the coastal path to the West.

Great place to stay and disconnect for a bit. Good little wave near the place.
