"The Duke Den"

ChristineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My boyfriend & I (along with the pup) soo loved everything about our stay in Basye! We felt right at home from the moment we arrived, & agreed that we had found a hidden gem :) The views were breathtaking, the house was spacious & inviting (the loft was such a treat), & Tracey did a wonderful job getting us acquainted with the "Duke Den" & making sure that we had an enjoyable stay. It was a fabulous trip that I know we'd be more than happy to do all over again! Thanks again Tracey!

Recently Refreshed 5BR Chalet | GameRm | FireTable

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house was wonderful! Two families comfortably stayed with enough room for the kids to play and parents to hang out. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen I've ever seen on an Airbnb. Tom communicated quickly and was incredibly kind. The location itself is private enough but also close to multiple things. Overall an amazing experience and would recommend to others!

Mt Views - Sauna - Hot Tub - Adulting - Game Room

DariaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home over Memorial Day Weekend in late May. The house looks exactly like the photos — surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful nature, it was the perfect escape. Everything was super comfortable and well-equipped: the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, the beds were cozy, and the amenities were fantastic. We especially appreciated the hot tub and sauna — such a great touch that made our trip feel extra relaxing. The location is also great: we visited a few local wineries and explored the nearby town of Harrisonburg. There’s a supermarket just 15 minutes away, which was very convenient. Wi-Fi is available, but honestly, we barely used it — we were too busy enjoying nature and unplugging from everyday life. There’s also a lovely fire pit area, which we didn’t get a chance to use this time, but it looked great for future guests. Thank you so much for hosting us — we had a wonderful time and would absolutely come back!

We had a great time at Bridget and Preston’s chalet as family with little ones. The movie theater was a great touch and kids loved winding down with a movie. Lots to do in the surrounding areas as well. Hosts were very responsive and communicated clearly. Will definitely recommend.

Private river front access~ Modern~ pets~Gameroom

SteveRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Wow, this is a great house and a perfect location. Right on the river where we fished, kayaked, waded (a little cold for swimming) and generally hung out on the riverbank and played nonstop for 2 days with a bunch of little kids. And then just 15 mins or less from groceries in Luray and 30-45 mins up to the 211 entrance into Shenandoah for hiking. The house was terrific and this kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all our meals. Not those crappy secondhand thrift store pots and pans that are missing lids or covered in gunk you find in a lot of places, always missing that one thing you need to make your meal. Plus little things like collanders and cheese graters. The beds were terrific and the beautiful wall of windows was the perfect compliment to the big room (plus toy room upstairs) where we spent most of our indoor time. We'd come back here in a heartbeat and would hope to find our way here this summer when we can do more swimming. Thanks!!

Great accommodations for group trips. There are a number of in home activities; games, karaoke, hot tub, etc readily available. Proximity to Massanutten slopes was the selling point for our group of beginner skiers NOT interested in ski in/ski out options.

Where do I begin? This is the home everyone dreams to have. From check-in to check-out, it was such a smooth process. Steve’s attention to detail is unmatched. Everything in the home was placed so intentionally. It truly set the standard for an Airbnb. I had a total of 10 in my group and one of the days out of our stay we had some friends come spend the day with us which totaled 15. I was nervous about it being cramped but we were perfectly fine. The pictures are exactly as is if not better. The space is huge and comfortable. I wasn’t going to mention this at first but I think it still goes to show how great the house is. Due to high winds in the mountains, the power went out. The house has a generator! We didn’t have to worry about anything and after some time the power finally came back on. You really wouldn’t have noticed it. Our final day was bittersweet. Everyone was so sad to leave. We left the space with a spirit of peace and belonging. Don’t question whether booking with Steve
