Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Roanoke County

this was my first time at SML and can not wait to go back. our unit was perfect for our weekend getaway for wine festival. i would recommend this rental to anyone. Thank you Caroline

Location is close to town and pet friendly. Easy access to unit and plenty of parking. Direct access to trail from rear parking lot makes it easy to walk your dog. Great stay!

Went for a relaxing weekend with no plans to do much of anything. And did just that! Beautiful peaceful area! Lots of great restaurants in the area. Wake cafe was delish! The home was perfect for the 2 of us.

The "Lily Pad" was absolutely amazing... everything was just like the ad specified. Very easy check-in and check-out... Susan was extremely nice and answered all questions promptly. Susan gave great recommendations on places to eat in the area. The place was very clean and organized and gave an at home feeling. I will definitely be setting up another accommodation at Susan's studio condo again in the future. This property has an amazing fitness center and indoor swimming pool with a huge indoor hot tub as well.. it also had a arcade room that took me back with those oldie but goodie retro games. I loved the place and was disheartened when it was time to checkout..I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice studio condo to just relax in and enjoy the amenities and beautiful Smith Mtn. Lake...

Kirsti and Ed were great host. We had a great time and great location.

The place was well kept and clean. Almost brand new! Just be aware that you will have to drive to most of the amenities. Also you will have to pay a $20 per person fee for the use of the amenities and that wasn’t mentioned prior to renting. We went to Bottles and Bites on a Saturday night and it was great!

My husband and I had a wonderful getaway to Smith Mountain Lake. Nicole's place was a cozy space full of all the things we needed for the weekend. The space was clean and comfortable.

We loved staying here! The unit is small but decorated very nice and has all amenities you would need for a weekend away. Check in was easy with clear instructions provided the day before. We had no trouble operating the lock box or using the pin pad to enter the building. The unit was also very clean! The bed is so comfortable that we slept great both nights. We appreciated that Leslie left water and snacks available since we had forgotten to pack any in our rush to leave on the day of our trip. The beach and pergola near the water were nice to sit at in the evening. Although the on site restaurant was a bit pricy, the food was totally worth it. It was the best steak we had in a while! This unit met all of our expectations and we would definitely like to stay here again if we take another trip to SML.

Stefan and Hope were wonderful hosts. They were extremely communicative and flexible especially since Hurricane Helene was a threat to the trip for a while. The studio was very comfortable and clean and they checked in on us several times to make sure we were doing alright. Mariners Landing has lots of lovely amenities and restaurants so it’s a great place to relax and enjoy come peace and quiet on a romantic weekend.

This was our first stay at an Airbnb.. It was beautiful, and went by too quickly. I hope to come back again in the summer months. Ryan and Danielle answered all of my many questions.

the condo is wonderful, tastefully decorated, large tv in living room, updated bath and kitchen, very nice! We greatly enjoyed our stay, terrific view from deck, great place to enjoy coffee in morning!

This Condo was decorated absolutely gorgeous with a nautical feel that I love! Very clean and pristine! The view was spectacular from our balcony to see the lake and the mountains! I can actually say I have not slept that well in a long time in a very comfy bed! Bernard's Landing was top notch, and I am planning on returning! Friendly people in the town and the food was great!

The place was just like the photos . We loved everything about it . I will say the bed was so comfy and cozy . I would highly recommend staying here !

This is a great place to stay. I was working in Gretna and stayed here during the week for the second time. Awesome Sunrises and Sunsets and so peaceful. Great place to get away after work.

Nice clean home to stay in while we were traveling. It was the perfect stop to accommodate our family of 8.

What a blast! This is the second time I've facilitated a group trip to Kristie's place for a weekend of pickleball, food, and laughter. I'm already planning the next one! The house and other buildings are well-equipped and well-kept and provided everything we needed to fully enjoy our time together, including a gorgeous view of the lake from the dining table we gathered around. Absolutely recommend.

Our family enjoyed our too short of a stay over the thanksgiving holiday! This beautiful home provided all the essentials and space we needed to have a beautiful Thanksgiving feast to enjoy with family! The 2 ovens came in handy to heat our meal. We also had a short drive to enjoy hiking at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Would be a beautiful place to stay and visit in the warmer months as well.

We chose Crista’s place for our annual family vacation and it didn’t disappoint! It was a great location with tons to do onsite, so no need to venture out if you don’t want to! We had great, mild November weather for the first few days which allowed us to enjoy the private beach, dock and kayaking around the lake. The home itself was exactly as described and we loved the hot tub and fire pit for smores during the cool fall evenings. Our family likes to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed and we took full advantage of the grill & blackstone. Crista was super responsive and helpful with any and all questions and requests. We would highly recommend this location and look forward to returning to check it out during the Summer!

Phyllis was an amazing host!! She communicated often and was very friendly. She added nice touches like snacks and water in the kitchen, fresh fluffy towels, and local guides on exploring the area. We were there to visit my son who lived .5 miles from Phyllis so that worked out great. We also walked from Lane stadium - it was a bit of a hike-about 40 minutes, but was totally doable after the game. The cozy apartment is in the lower level of her house and it was very easy to check in and come and go as we needed to. Thank you Phyllis!

Great stay be mindful if you are looking for a quiet stay as you are on the main strip of Downtown Floyd. Foot traffic and road noise during the evening can get a tad bit loud so keep that in mind. However the distance to food, entertainment and light shopping provide a nice balanced experience.

Dan's place was a peaceful beautiful place to stay for two nights while I and 5 others of my crew were passing through Wirtz VA for work. All beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed all the amenities. Everything was perfect. I hope to get to stay at Dan's place again in the future. Hopefully next it won't be for work!
