What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

Wow wow wow, what an amazing place to stay. Stunning house, stunning location. The attention to detail was fantastic, Philippa and Andrew were so approachable, friendly and helpful and they helped to make our stay comfortable. The house was spotless and full of everything we needed. Our children are already asking how soon we can come and visit again. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and the view were gorgeous, what a gem of a find. Very much looking forward to returning to Yoredale House, Thankyou for having us!

We had a wonderful stay at mini-moon. The cottage was modern, light and clean. The modern interior and home comforts made our stay feel luxurious. The copper bath is a lovely touch. Everything you needed was supplied. Nicola was a fantastic host, she was available whenever you needed her.

We had a lovely peaceful 2 night stay to celebrate my birthday. The hot tub was lovely to relax in after a busy day walking around Brimham Rocks We chose this property for the reason of pure peace, quiet and away from the busy hustle and bustle of life and that’s what we had - the car was parked up for the whole duration, no iPads or phones - I even started to read my first ever book!!! Heaven 🙂

What a beautiful place and location! Neil was brilliant at keeping in contact and the cottage was so welcoming. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to visit again soon. Thank you so much Neil.

Arrived with 8 friends and instantly fell in love with the place, everything was clean and prepared with instructions and recommendations on food and activities in the local area, spent every night enjoying ourselves rather in the hot tub or living room playing games and was an overall great experience.

Beautiful seaside apartment. Great base to explore the area. Host was very communicative about check in. The welcome book on arrival was a great help for the local area. The apartment was spotless and had a great set up. Especially liked the small selection of games for entertainment. Will definitely stay here again if available when visiting the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Melanie’s. The house is really comfy, cosy, well-appointed and welcoming. We found it deceptively spacious and we loved the big rooms. The beds are very comfy and the house is warm on cold days and airy when it is hot outside. It’s extremely handy for day trips to Beamish and it’s close enough to make an easy journey into Newcastle. We found the parking was a tight squeeze but Melanie’s advice on how to manage this was spot-on - she is a very helpful host. Event though the house is on a narrow terraced street, the neighbours left us space to get the car in and out, and we found the house private, quiet and peaceful. We had everything we needed in the house and there are lots of extras like Netflix and Freeview on the TV as well as lots of books and DVDs. The chip shop down the road served us huge portions and was tasty - we also recommend the Stables restaurant at Beamish Hall. We hope to stay at Melanie’s again and will be recommending it to others.

Brilliant few days in one of our favourite places in the world. Great weather for walking and climbing and Eleanor’s little house was perfect. Very comfortable and well equipped. Nice quiet location with friendly neighbours. Short walk into Settle then onto the surrounding hills. We love Settle as it’s got lots of good shops cafes and pubs and a nice friendly vibe. House had our two most important things. Comfy bed and good shower !!
