Kid-friendly vacation rentals in River Somme

this is the second time that we have stayed at Maintenay, with the family. Our host and their family were outstanding and very welcoming. They were always around to assist if there was anything we needed our French unfortunate wasn’t as good as her English however we got on perfectly and had a wonderful time, all around. The star attraction is always the fireplace and we used it every day and loved every minute of it. We will certainly try to get back to maintenay in the near future. Phillip Pettersen

Ben and Georgie have an amazing place in a great location! I would love to tell you all that we hated it in the hopes to gatekeep it for ourselves, however that would be unfair to Ben and Georgie who were absolutely fantastic hosts. The barn has been brilliantly converted, with four great bedrooms and everything you’d need to enjoy and relax. The outdoor space was the highlight for us. Definitely worth going for the spa facilities, the jacuzzi was great and the sauna was far better than we expected. Thanks again to Ben and Georgie! We’ll definitely be visiting again!

Unusual place as we like, and which pleased the children as much as us parents. Yazid and his wife are lovely, accommodating and very discreet people. I thank them again. And as for the place, there is a beautiful park with animals and very beautiful trees to visit 1.5 km from the train, which I recommend doing, and a nice amusement park for children too. In short, I recommend +++ this place. You can go there without so much as a second thought if you want to go back in time for a moment.

The apartment was lovely, clean and just as shown in the pictures. The kitchen was fully equipped and the outdoor play area was an added bonus. The owner gave clear instructions on how to access the property and came to check on us to make sure everything was satisfactory. We would highly recommend staying here, lovely location.

We enjoyed our week at Phillipe's property. He was a great host. Listing as described. Kids enjoyed the large garden and pool. Location is very peaceful but close enough to larger towns and the coast. Would stay here again.

A superb little house. Spotless and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the birds and animals from the house. Easy access to St Valery-sur- Somme which as an interesting history. Also has a wonderful array of cafes, restaurants and shops. We wish we could have stayed longer.

amazing accommodation, extremely clean. The best part is the enclosed garden, great when you have a dog and we were able to enjoy the terrace. I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this place to others. I value cleanliness. Order in the kitchen. No hodgepodge of dishes and cutlery. There was also a decent amount of information material in the apartment. Very helpful. Accurate announcements from Audrey and immediate response time. Fridge and freezer clean, fresh ice cubes. There's nothing to complain about. Keep it up, Audrey.

Our stay at François's was great. The accommodation is large, spacious and bright, equipped kitchen and bathroom with all the amenities you need. Large bed of good quality, pity that we had not seen that there were electric shutters. The terrace is large, one side has a jacuzzi with ambient light for the evening and the other corner may be missing a small table and chair to sit and admire the view of the city, the belfry and the cathedral. All amenities within walking distance, 5 minutes from the pedestrian street with all shops, bars and restaurants. We'll be happy to go back!

Our stay was cozy, quiet, comfortable, an excellent place, easy access, private, very well located, and its facilities are super spacious and bright, I would definitely come back again.

Very pleasant stay. Right in the center. Everything can be done on foot. Amiens is really worth discovering. Friday night atmosphere, so plan on bringing earplugs for sensitive ears, but it's quiet the other nights. Read all of Marie's recommendations. (We got trapped by leaving our car in the parking lot in front of the accommodation on Saturday morning, market day…impoundment etc…when it was clearly specified!!) Marie is very responsive. So 5* despite the little inconvenience!

The apartment is in a great location with the sea and the cliffs a stone's throw out the window. The view is insanely beautiful and what a charming village is. We, two children and two parents, are fans and hope to come back again. The house and kitchen were well furnished and equipped with what we needed. It was also very nice that there were no cars at the door. Upon arrival, the kitchen was a bit sticky, it smelled like fish in the house, and the shower had a clogged well. However, those relative downsides are not in the positive experience we've had.

Beautiful apartment right on the beach in a lovely well kept building - has everything you need including an outstanding view!! We had a really great dinner at L’archipelle which is literally a 2 minute walk from the apartment. This was a short stay but we will definitely go back for a longer stay in the future. Would recommend without hesitation!

Beautiful accommodation, amazing views around, very helpful host, I will definitely be back! The accommodation is very comfortable, there is everything you need and even more. Very homely 😊 A small town, but very kind people around, always ready to help and suggest something. We explored all the surroundings, got to a wonderful cider tasting - I recommend visiting! You can also collect seafood yourself. We collected mussels and cooked them in the apartment! Staying in this city and apartment - 10 out of 10 !!

Perfect for a little getaway 2-3h away from Paris by car! We stayed over a long weekend and had the best time. Christine’s place was in perfect distance from beach or bars/ restaurants while being calm and private! Amazing!

We had a great time in this apartment! The location is ideal and the views are simply superb, a real plus in everyday life. The physical reception is very appreciable rather than a lockbox. The apartment is bright, well equipped and very clean. Special care is given to bed and bath linens. We felt right at home. Only one small problem: the bedding could be improved for optimal comfort. That said, that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay to the fullest. We highly recommend this rental and will happily come back.
