Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

A perfect base for the start of our Hadrian’s Wall Cycle adventure. We did a Solway loop to Silloth, then Carlisle and back to Bowness on Solway (around 56miles)

What a beautiful place to stay! Thank you Jerry for having such a well maintained apartment - including a full kitchen so we could self cater. The whole place was also so snug and cosy and the bed was super comfy. Perfect place to just relax after a full day exploring! Fab location with stunning views overlooking fells - quiet area, barely knew others were about. Apartment well looked after, clean and tidy. Bonus having access to the gym, sauna & spa. Thanks Jerry for the prompt communication, local recommendations and kindness! Will definitely be recommending to others. 😊

We went for a short break and it was lovely! The house was perfect for chilling out after a long day. Kitchen had a lot of things we needed and plenty of things to do even in the home! Perfect location, both towns either side of us with lots of options to eat and all within walking distance too. We were so glad we were able to stay here and hoping to be back soon! We had a fantastic stay. Everything was as promised, a beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean. We went out and about each day, but we all looked forward to getting back, it really felt like home. Highly recommend 👌

Colin contacted us prior to our stay to give us accurate details of where to go, and what to do. He gave us his contact number incase there was any issues, and told us to contact him anytime. His apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the photos do not do it justice.. and the views from the balcony were 100%. The location was perfect for what we was looking for. We would highly recommend ,and definitely stay there again.😊

The loft apartment at Bowness House Farm exceeded our expectations- in fact the whole courtyard complex did. The apartment was beautifully styled and thought through with an excellent kitchen area, spacious en-suite, very comfortable sitting area and bed. We loved the details and finish- in fact I wish we’d been staying for a week rather than one night. Michelle, the manager, was welcoming and helpful. She also cooked our delicious breakfast this morning. The restaurant is full of warmth and character and we loved the inspirational sayings from 20th century icons ( including Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and Stephen Hawking), the sparkling lights and the general ambience. We also throughly enjoyed our evening meal there. This was such a beautiful place I’d cycle the 150 miles back just to stay again !

matt and I had an amazing stay at lakes, the apartment is located perfectly for local hiking route and the added amenities on site were a welcome addition after a long day hiking.

Excellent accommodation in a lovely area! Would definitely return again. Only very small observation was that insufficient toilet roll and info stated shampoo etc would be provided and there was none.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Stayed for two nights with my grownup children Had a great time, lovely location, did some walking to the cove and to Janet’s Foss Went to the pub which is just around the corner which was handy! The house was very nice with views out across fields We ate at the house both nights (we left it too late to book anything local) I found the large kitchen well equipped with all you need to cater for the 8 of us that were there. All in all a very pleasant stay, I would definitely recommend to others.

Lovely cottage in a quiet setting, about 25 mins from both Coniston and Windermere. The cottage is comfortably furnished with all the kitchen essentials for your break away. Steve was very quick to respond to messages both before the holiday giving us some helpful tips on places to go and during our visit as needed. We had a very relaxed time there with plenty to do in the surrounding area's.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

Such a tranquil place! The decor is sleepier and beautiful, so much thought has gone into the room and decor! I took great joy in the paintings & artwork! The perfect place!
