Lovely accommodation, in great location for local amenities.

Great stay for a few nights. Good value for money. Lovely views, very private and the hot tub was perfect! Lee was also great at keeping in touch if we needed anything!

So glad we picked Bakewell for our visit to the Peak District, and even more so that we picked Pamela's property. Ideal location for exploring the town and surrounding area, 5 minute walk to restaurants at night. Spotless accommodation, quirky layout, which we liked! Thanks for the welcome pack, just what we needed when we arrived. We'll be back some day, thanks Pamela.

What can we say, what a little gem this place is. Walkable to town, about 25 mins or you can hop on the bus if you don't fancy the walk, Soozey left loads of helpful instructions in the folder inside the accommodation with Bus times etc. The place itself was so well equipped for a small space. It was cosy, clean and everything in it's place. The pull down bed was comfy, extra pillows provided too, the shower was great, everything was high quality. The burner was brilliant, l have never seen one like that before, we popped it on for an hour in the morning to take the chill out the air. Although we didn't used the hot chocolate tray, what a lovely touch that was. Even the reclining sofa was fab too. We would return again, if only the weather was nicer, we could see ourselves on the roof sinking some cold beers.

We had a lovely stay at Ruth's cottage, we felt really welcome and at home. Ruth had lots of information about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc and was really responsive to messages. We stayed over Christmas and Ruth had decorated the cottage with Christmas decorations which was a really lovely added touch. We had a fantastic break and would definitely stay again.

A great short stay at this lovely cottage. Fantastic views and a cosy feel. Location was very convenient in the village very near to the fabulous pub and lovely walks. The cottage was very well equipped with everything needed.

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The location is spot on, not far from Bakewell and other areas drivable/walkable if you want to hike/walk. The details in the house were perfection - super stylish and luxurious and felt hotel like! The log burner with unlimited logs was a wonderful touch, the house was always warm and felt cosy. Check in was easy with Christine on the end of the phone if we needed anything, and she had also sent a lovely recommendations pack before so plenty to do and see, Taggs Dairy is a must! Perfect place for a cosy get away! Would absolutely recommend and return! Thank you Christine ❤️

Little Lilac Cottage is a cosy retreat in the heart of the village of Castleton. It has off road parking and an outside space to sit and watch the world go by. Lots to do within walking distance including visiting Peveril Castle and the caves and caverns. Great walks from the cottage. We walked Mamtor and Losehill via the Great Ridge from the cottage. Plenty of places to eat and drink with a bakery nearby too. Gift shops to mooch in. Don’t forget the Aladdin’s cave next door which sells Cherry Bakewell ice cream. Delicious!!!
