Cosy lakeview cabin 45 minutes from Reykjavik

A lakeside cabin at the foot of Medalfell mountain with direct access to the lake. A peaceful place with a beautiful lakeview where you can relax to the gentle sounds of the water. On the terrace is a barrel sauna with a beautiful view over the lake. The surrounding area is full of nature and a good starting point for little hikes. Good location for day trips to Snæfellsnes and the Golden Circle. During the winter time is a good chance of seeing the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis).

This secluded cabin is just 35 min from Reykjavík and offers complete privacy along with a hot tub overlooking the lake. The bathroom is fully equipped, while the modest yet functional kitchenette includes all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a selection of movies on the TV with a DVD player—please note there’s no WiFi, making this the perfect spot to unplug and enjoy a peaceful, cozy getaway. We use geothermal water. A lovely newly renovated studio with a private entrance and a private patio.The apartment comes with a five passenger A Kia Sportage with four-wheel drive free for guests usage. The apartment is located only meters from the Atlantic ocean at the small boat harbor and around 10 minutes drive from the centrum. The apartment has a double bed as well as a sofa bed suitable for two adults. In the apartment you will also find cutlery both for children and adults.
