Waterfront vacation rentals in Rethymno

Place was as described right in old town. Very easy to walk around and plenty of restaurants with many gluten free options. Steep steps up to the apartment but this was as listed. Also can be a little noisy at night but again this is to be expected right next to the harbour precinct at night. Overall very nice and priced right.

Beautiful sea views and part of the old town, we had a great time at this very well located apartment in Chania.

Jurga and her husband were extremely kind people. The bed was comfy. And the view from the location was breathtaking. 10/10 recommondations!

We stayed in Zoi's apartment for 1 week. She was always available and always responded to messages. When we arrived late at night, she had put pizzas and ice cream in the freezer for us. For our breakfast, there was also everything we needed! The apartment has direct access to the beach and the old town of Rethymno is a 20/25-minute walk. Really a great place to stay with ocean views 🥰 always happy to come back!!

Stayed at Despoina’s Place for five sunny days. The apartment is not overlooked so you can open the door and lie in bed looking at the sea. Matala’s sandy beach and aquamarine water is just a few steps down. There’s a little cafe/bar next door and the lovely staff will bring your morning coffee or your beers to the terrace. We did nothing really, except sit on the beach and enjoy the sun. A couple of days were windy so the sand got blown about - if we’d have stayed longer we might have invested in a wind break. Highly recommended.

We spent a week in George's apartment with a group of four friends. The apartment is located in a perfect setting to explore the island of Crete. However, as it is located on a beautiful beach and also offers a pool as well as a number of other leisure opportunities (e.g. table tennis, beach volleyball court), we barely felt the need to leave the place. The apartment itself was super clean and perfectly equipped for self-catering. In the evenings, we enjoyed wonderful sunsets from the spacious balcony in front of a beautiful sea and mountain backdrop. We often completed our evenings by visiting one of the three tavernas in walking distance offering authentic and affordable Greek cuisine with a panoramic view of the beach. During our stay, George was personally available for any kind of questions at any time. We were also deeply impressed by George's hospitality and his obliging manner. Once again, thank you very much George for the wonderful time. We will definitely come back as soon as we go to Crete again!

What an amazing place! Ioannis has thought about everything you could ever need and it is there!! Every thing was immaculate, beautiful white linen, beach towels, the best kitchen ever. Ioannis very thoughtfully had provided large bottles of water and fresh fruit in the fridge which I thought was wonderful. We had a problem on arrival which was sorted so quickly, thank you Ioannis! We have been to many Airb&bs and this was the best. So near the sea and fantastic restaurants, i miss the wonderful food! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Harry was very responsive and friendly. The house was really nice, just as described, and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful—if you wake up early, you can see the sun rise right in the center of the big window and watch it move all the way up. The location is good. We did hear some highway noise, and there was a friendly group of dogs that barked in the morning. But at least you could pet them they were sweet. The hot tub was nice. Although we didn’t use it as much as we thought we would. It’s on the roof, and since the house has a central spiral staircase, you need to come down it to get back inside. That made it a bit tricky with wet feet and the April nights were a bit too chilly to stay on the roof for too long after the tub. But we really enjoyed using the BBQ. Overall, we had a great time. Harry’s hospitality was top notch.

We had a really nice stay at Georgios place. Enjoying the seaside view while having breakfast on the terrace is amazing. The flat was clean and we found everything we needed. Would love to come back

it is just as it's described. three verandas facing different directions so you can enjoy the sun or not. beautiful views of the sunset, sea and mountains. will definitely return 👍👍

Great stay at the apartment just a few steps from the coast, nice little bar restaurant even closer. Minutes to the harbour. Interiors were very well done with loads of character. Exactly what we needed - thank you

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

This place was wonderful. Most outstanding was the hospitality from our hosts; Artemis, Tasoula, Giorg, and Dimitris, all whom helped us with check-in or questions or help we needed. We were greeted with a warm welcome, some delicious food and a wonderful home. The place is clean and perfect for a beach location. The beach is beautiful and quiet and has a few restaurants near for food. there is a small mini market though it doesnt cater much for meals just the few extras you may need - though they were very friendly and nice. It was easy to communicate, check in and check out and teh beds were comfortable and clean. definite recommendation

Heike's place was super well maintained and had everything your heart desires. We felt comfortable and enjoyed our time very much! Heike was also on site on the day of our arrival and personally gave us many helpful tips and explained everything necessary. She was also quickly available to us at any time. Utensils for grilling meat and fish were also fully available. The surrounding small towns with numerous localities are quickly and easily reached by car. If you are athletic, you can also do it on foot :) . But even at home you can unwind, either in a hammock or a lounger.

I can see why Katerina is a super host -everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! We felt very comfortable in her place! We found it very convenient and yet peaceful! The view from her balcony was amazing! Katerina was very responsive and pro active ! I would stay here again if I were to visit Chania in the future!

Valias place was amazing ! We dealt with her mum Katerina who was super friendly and always on the phone if I needed anything. Perfect location with stunning views of the Venetian port . Everywhere easy to get to. The beach about a 30 min walk and a beautiful one at that. Highly recommend and are looking forward to booking again nxt year 😀

What a great spacious apartment and even better location,.. and with a panoramic sea view from the spacious balcony/terrace. What more do you need? And chose Kalamaki over Matala (just visit) if you want to relax.

We spent four very nice days here. The view is really beautiful and in 10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket. In front of the house you could park well.

This place cannot be faulted, excellent host, we wanted for nothing. Great location for centre of town, easy walking distance to amenities, would come back here again without hesitation

We really enjoyed being guest at Dimitris place. The apartment is very cosy and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped (oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, coffee).

The apartment is perfectly located to explore the island, you are in the center of the island, immediately on the highway (recommendation: before moving in, be sure to practice driving backwards to the mountain!!) and yet the apartment is very quiet and has a great view of the sea. Especially the small balcony directly above the sea appealed to us, even if it might be a little too hot/not shaded in summer. Here you can also quickly make friends with the 4 cats, who occasionally also drive the neighbor dog to whiteness. Those who are afraid of cats should prefer to look for another apartment with these attached specimens, cat lovers will love it. Marianna's mother is a good soul, bringing eggs from the in-house chickens as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. All in all for us the perfect place to combine exploring the island with relaxation.

We had a perfect stay here. We loved the location- a 10 min walk to old town but also with many local restaurants right outside. The apartment itself was incredible with everything you need and Christini was very friendly and gave us recommendations:)
