“Absolutely breathtaking and truly affordable for almost anyone. The view alone is worth so much more than this is listed at! A great adventure. I’ve always wanted to live in a tiny house, so this listing was right up my alley. If you plan on using the heater, bring two canisters of propane per day, plus extras for the camp stove. The heater would run on low for five hours or so on one propane tank. The only complaints I have are that I wish I had known that the wifi at the Little Burro store cost money. It is per month, and since we were only there for two days, it didn’t make sense to pay the fee which was reasonable for a month but unreasonable for the 10 minutes we needed it. Additionally, the dumpsters there at the store that the listing directs you to put your trash in had padlocks on them, but that was no biggie at all, we just kept it until we got to a gas station. Neither are big issues, obviously, in and of themselves, just putting those things in the listing description would be cool :) Overall, I would %10,000 come back here!”
New Listing!!! Beautiful Private home. large wrap porch for sun rise and sunset viewing with spectacular views of the canyons. Big bend National Park is a short 15 minute drive .Big Bend ranch State. Park is a short 30 minute drive. ( Centrally Located) The road into the house is a dirt road approximately a mile or mile and half long. You do not need a four wheel drive to access house .
“This place offers the most amazing sunsets and sunrises you can experience in the area! Tucked in the midst of beautiful buttes and mesas, surrounded by creeks and arroyos, the landscape is impeccably desert, and the property offers so much space to explore. Great place to stay with the doggies in your life. Although not a fenced property, the expansive space gives the fur-babies plenty to explore. The dirt road was easy to drive down, and homes in the area had small cars that made it down the road just fine. Air-conditioning was a godsend in the middle of the day. A ten minute drive or less to everything in StudyButte and Terlingua. A great place to stay to explore the area!”
Old historic adobe church 100+ years old, 5 individual rental units plus great room, communal kitchen, dining and living areas. Ten minutes from the entry to Big Bend Ranch State Park and 1 hr. from entry to Big Bend National Park, located in the historic ghost town of Redford, Texas.
“Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 12 & 10) rented Unit 1 and 2 downstairs which was perfect for us. There was another guest upstairs and we could interact with them in the communal space if we wanted, but we were able to have our private space as those units are separate with their own bathroom and a small kitchen. It was such a unique experience to stay in a church built in 1914 and it has so much character. Definetely rustic with creaky floors but that is what we were looking for! Charie was a great host and our kids feel in love with his dog, Sissy, who likes to come over and greet you! He gave us great tips on things to do and we used his company Angel Expeditions to canoe the Rio Grande... which was the highlight of our trip!!!! There is Wi-Fi at the church but we rarely used it as we really were there to disconnect, and you are able to do that at Charlie's place. We loved spending our evenings outside by the fire pit or the dock. It's about 45-50 minutes to Lajitas, but it's a beautiful drive through the State Park. I don't think we would have had the same wonderful experience staying anywhere else. Once seeing "town" we were happy we were off the beaten trail, even though we had to make the drive daily to get either to the National Park or to enjoy the restaurants in town. It would so fun to stay again with a big group of friends and rent the whole church! Thank you Charlie for helping us create one of the best family trips we've ever had!!! The Whistler's!!!”
