“We loved our brief stay in Susan’s pool house. Very comfortable! The pool area was beautifully designed and we spent most of our stay enjoying the warm water. Susan and her husband were friendly and kind, yet gave us our privacy and space. Thanks again for the relaxing break away from our SF home!”

“Chuck's place is a little piece of heaven, nestled in the outskirts of Sacramento. This was our second trip to Chuck's, and it was even better than the last! Upon arrival we were greeted with a clean home, assorted Keurig coffee cups, personalized home instructions, and baby ducklings swimming along with us in the pool! The rooms are stylish, the kitchen and entire space is very functional, and there is plenty of space. The home and grounds are sooo beautiful. We were able to create simply amazing online content. We were truly in a private oasis. We spied a momma and baby deer crossing the large lawn, we plucked ripe berries from the tree, we soaked in the hot tub until we were prunes. And Chuck is the most thoughtful host I have ever met. He was extremely accommodating to our group. Allowing us to use his blender, upping the jacuzzi temp, and even taking our group photos. He has the place outfitted to support families, too. This includes extra beds, toys, a trampoline, AND a huge playground! We simply cannot wait until we open the gates to Chuck's place again. Magic happens here! Thank you Chuck for everything! ~becca and the mermaids”

“This is a monster length review because I have so many good things to say about our trip! We loved unwinding in the garden and pool (both swimming and reading in the sun). I also enjoyed sitting on the patio swing eating strawberries, peas, and nasturtiums (edible flowers!) straight from the garden. Lianne was even nice enough to dig some up to send home with us because we’d had trouble finding them in our area. The guest area was very roomy and nicely furnished with plenty of games. Lianne really has thought of everything you might need during your stay from kitchen items, to disposable cups/plates so you don’t have to worry about dishes while on vacation! She also truly means it when she says she wants you to have the best stay possible and will happily help with any need you might have. The bathroom was thoughtfully stocked with everything you’d have at home and the bidet was neat. It may seem daunting at first (there’s toilet paper too if you’re not up for trying something new), but I think Doug is just onboard with a trend the rest of the world has figured out before us silly Americans. After being cooped up in the city for a few months, it was wonderful to wander around the property and visit with all the animals. One of my favorite parts was wandering through the garden and encountering a new cat every time! Doug and Lianne were great hosts and it’s so kind of them to share their wonderful property with others. We had some great conversations and it was a lot of fun talking with people that have different viewpoints, but are genuinely open to respectfully discussing and sharing with others.”
